Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh level energi dan protein ransum terhadap penampilanayam kampung umur 0-10 minggu. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan empatperlakuan dan empat ulangan, setiap ulangan terdiri dari 3 ekor ayam. Ayam kampung yang digunakan tanpamembedakan jenis kelamin. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah A: energi 3100 kkal/kg dan protein 22%; B: energi3000 kkal/kg dan protein 20%; C: energi 2900 kkal /kg dan protein 18%; dan D: energi 2800 kkal /kg dan protein16%. Varabel yang diamati adalah: berat badan awal, berat badan akhir, pertambahan berat badan, konsumsiransum, feed convertion ratio (FCR), kecernaan pakan, neraca energi, neraca protein, kebutuhan protein danenergi untuk hidup pokok dan pertumbuhan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh perlakuan energi3100 kkal dan 22% protein berbeda nyata lebih baik (P<0,05) untuk pertumbuhan dan untuk neraca protein danenergi dibanding perlakuan; level energi 3000 kkal dan 18 % protein; dan level energi 2900 kkal dan 16% protein.Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pertumbuhan ayam kampung yang mendapat energi-protein yang lebih tinggi lebih baikdaripada ayam kampung yang mendapat ransum dengan energi dan protein yang lebih rendah. Kebutuhan energiuntuk hidup pokok pada ayam kampung umur 0-10 minggu adalah 95,88 W 0,75 kkal/hari dan kebutuhan proteinuntuk hidup pokok sebesar 2,91 g/W0,75/hari. Kebutuhan energi untuk pertumbuhan adalah 2,73 kkal per satugram kenaikan berat badan, sedangkan kebutuhan protein untuk pertumbuhan adalah 0,31 protein setiap kenaikan1 g berat badan.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to know the performance of the production and carcass characteristic of Joper chick that offered additive extract of the Carica Papaya L leaf in it drinking water. The research used Complete Randomized Design with 4 treatments and 4 replicates. The animal used were 48 Jover chicks. Each replicate was consisted of 3 chicks. The treatments were P0 (drinking water without additive extract of the Carica Papaya L leaf; P1 (drinking water plus 25 ml of additive extract of the Carica Papaya L leaf; P2 (drinking. water plus 30 ml of additive extract of the Carica Papaya L leaf; P3 (drinking water plus 35 ml of additive extract of the Carica Papa- ya L leaf. Variable that were observed were production performance i.e. body weight, feed consumption and Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR) and carcass characteristic i.e. carcass weight, carcass percetage, comercial carcass cut. Data were analized use one way analysis variance, and if there is significant different (P < 0,05) it will be continued use Duncan test. Results of the research showed that there was no significant different on performance variable of production i.e. end of body weight, body weight gain, and feed consumption except variable of FCR of the P3 was the lowest and significant different (P < 0.05) than the others. This result showed that the P3(drinking water plus 35 ml extract of the Carica Papaya L leaf ) could increased feed intake efficiency of the chick. The research was also showed that the addition of extract of the Carica Papaya L leaf in the drinking water was no significantly affected to the carcass characteristic of the chicks.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of adding papaya leaf extract (Carica papaya L.) on drinking water to physical quality of Joper chicken meat. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatmen- ts and four replications. Every unit was contained 3 Joper chickens. The treatments were drinking water without papaya leaf extract (P0), drinking water with 25 ml of papaya leaf extract in 1 liter of water (P1), drinking water with 30 ml of papaya leaf extract in 1 liter of water (P2), drinking water with 35 ml papaya leaf extract in liters of water (P3). The variables observed were pH, color, water holding capacity, cooking loss, and weep loss. The results showed that the addition of papaya leaf extract had a significant effect (P<0.05) on the physical quality of Joper chicken meat. Papaya leaf extract decreased the physical quality of Joper chicken meat in terms of water holding ca- pacity, cooking loss, and weep loss in P2 and P3 treatments. However, this papaya leaf extract treatment improves the quality of the flesh color to become brighter. The conclusion of this study is the addition of papaya leaf extract in drinking water affects the physical quality of Joper chicken meat compare without papaya leaf extract. The treat- ment that gave the best results was P1 treatment with the addition of 25 ml of papaya leaf extract.

Abstract

Peineilitian ini beirtuijuian uintuik meingeitahui peingaruih peimbeirian eikstrak biji peipaya meilalui air minuim teirha- dap peirforma dan IOFDC ayam kampuing yang teilah dilaksanakan seilama 8 minggui peineilitian di Farm Seiseitan, Fakuiltas Peiteirnakan Uiniveirsitas Uidayana. Rancangan peineilitian yang diguinakan adalah Rancangan Acak Leing- kap yang teirdiri atas 4 peirlakuian dan 4 uilangan dan masing-masing uilangan teirdiri dari 5 eikor ayam kampuing. Peirlakuian yang dibeirikan yaitui ayam kampuing dibeiri air minuim tanpa eikstrak biji peipaya (P0), ayam kampuing yang dibeiri air minuim 3% eikstrak biji peipaya (P1), ayam kampuing dibeiri air minuim 4% eikstrak biji peipaya (P2) dan ayam kampuing dibeiri air minuim 5% eikstrak biji peipaya (P3). Hasil peineilitian ini meinuinjuikkan bahwa dalam konsuimsi ransuim, konsuimsi air minuim, bobot badan akhir, dan peirtambahan bobot badan tidak meinuinjuikkan pei- ningkatan signifikan (P>0,05) jika dibandingkan deingan P0. Seidangkan nilai FCR dari keiduia peirlakuian P2 dan P3 meinuinjuikkan hasil yang beirpeingaruih nyata (P<0,05) jika dibandingkan deingan P0 dan P1. IOFDC beirbeida nyata (P<0,05) dimana P2 dan P3 meimiliki nilai yang leibih tinggi dibandingkan deingan P0. Beirdasarkan hasil peineilitian dapat disimpuilkan bahwa peimbeirian eikstrak biji peipaya 4% dan 5% meilalui air minuim beirpeingaruih meinuiruinkan nilai FCR dan meiningkatkan IOFDC seicara signifikan.
