Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify various types of epiphytic Pteridophytes and their host trees. This study used an exploration method or direct exploration method and obtained the types of Pteridophytes found in the Paninggaran Village Forest. Plant observations were carried out by observing morphological characters in plants including leaf shape, leaf color, leaf length, and leaf width. The identification results were then matched with references, namely Flora books, Plant Taxonomy, and Plant Morphology. The application used Google Lens and the Global Biodiversity Information Facility/GBIF website. Based on the results of the study, 10 species were found in the Paninggaran Village Forest and divided into 7 families and 5 types of host plants.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the possibility of rice laundry water as a source of ZPT and additional nutrients in hydroponic systems. The method used in this study is a narrative review with a focus on scientific articles published between 2015-2025 that discuss the potential of rice washing water to increase plant growth hydroponically. Rice washing water has the potential as a source of natural growth regulators and nutritional additives in hydroponic cultivation. The nutrient content in rice washing water will increase when its use is combined with other nutrients and processed by fermentation. Increasing nutrients in rice washing water will provide optimal results for hydroponic plant growth.

Abstract

21st-century learning demands the development of critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in senior high school (SMA) students. Design thinking is considered relevant, because it emphasizes empathy-based problem solving, ideation, and iteration through the stages of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. This study aims to analyze the advantages of implementing design thinking in senior high school learning through a systematic literature review. The study was conducted on 10 research articles published in the period 2019-2025, obtained from the Google Scholar database, ScienceDirect, and accredited national journals. Articles were selected based on the following inclusion criteria: 1) discussing the application of design thinking at the senior high school level; 2) containing empirical results or learning-based community service; and 3) relevant to the development of 21st-century competencies. Data analysis used content analysis techniques with thematic synthesis. The results of the synthesis showed a dominant pattern, that design thinking consistently improves critical thinking and problem-solving skills, especially through contextual problem exploration and prototype activities. This approach also tends to strengthen student creativity, motivation, and learning engagement through collaboration and open ideation, and encourages the integration of user-centered learning technologies. These findings confirm the contribution of design thinking as an effective approach in bridging learning theory and practice and supporting the strengthening of 21st-century competencies and the Pancasila Student Profile at the high school level.

Abstract

Anggrek Dendrobium spp. merupakan salah satu genus anggrek yang banyak dibudidayakan, namun pertumbuhannya tergolong lambat dan memerlukan suplai nutrisi tambahan untuk mendukung fase vegetatif. Pemanfaatan bahan alami sebagai pupuk organik cair (POC) dan zat pengatur tumbuh (ZPT) menjadi alternatif ramah lingkungan yang semakin banyak diteliti. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas berbagai bahan organik alami sebagai sumber POC maupun ZPT dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan Dendrobium spp. Penelitian disusun menggunakan metode literature review dengan menelusuri artikel ilmiah terbitan 2015–2025 dari jurnal bereputasi yang relevan dengan topik pupuk organik dan ZPT alami pada anggrek Dendrobium. Hasil telaah menunjukkan bahwa POC berbahan daun kelor, air kelapa, limbah rumah tangga fermentasi, dan air cucian beras mampu meningkatkan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan panjang akar, terutama pada konsentrasi 10–30%. Sementara itu, ZPT alami seperti ekstrak tomat, nutrisi organik, dan bahan organik kultur in vitro efektif merangsang pembentukan tunas, pemanjangan akar, serta peningkatan biomassa pada konsentrasi 10–20% atau dikombinasikan dengan POC 5–10 mL L⁻¹. Secara keseluruhan, bahan organik alami memiliki potensi besar dalam mendukung pertumbuhan Dendrobium spp. dan menjadi alternatif yang efisien, ekonomis, dan berkelanjutan dalam budidaya anggrek.
