Abstract

Multimedia is a crucial field of study in the present era, as all professional domains require its application to aid individuals in effectively completing their tasks. However, the Multimedia field is contributing significantly to unemployment rates today. This issue partly arises from the fact that graduates in Multimedia lack the required proficiency, skills, and knowledge sought by various companies and institutions. SMK NW Kembang Kerang is a private vocational school located in East Lombok, which offers a multimedia program attracting a substantial number of students each year. Despite graduating students in this field annually, many face the challenge of inadequate competencies upon completion of their education. The lack of practical exposure during their school years hinders the alumni's ability to compete in the job market. Although numerous photo and video editing services are available in the Kembang Kerang region, it is observed that few SMK graduates are employed in this area. The school's teachers and principal comprehend this issue, attributing it to the limited opportunities for practical training experienced by the students. Consequently, to address this concern, the author conducted a competence training activity for students at SMK NW Kembang Kerang, with a specific focus on multimedia and graphic design. The objective of this training program is to enhance the students' multimedia and graphic design skills, empowering them with competent capabilities that will prove beneficial both for their personal growth and the broader community. Through this initiative, it is anticipated that upon completing their vocational education, students will possess the necessary competencies to thrive in the professional realm and contribute positively to society at large.

Abstract

Electricity is one of the basic needs of everyday life. Nowadays, humans are heavily dependent on the availability of electricity, where a stable power supply is essential for lighting and operating various electronic devices. The average electricity consumption of the Indonesian population continued to increase every year during the period 1971–2022. That's a straightforward comparison to the ever-increasing electricity tariff. One attempt to save on the cost of electricity use, for example, is to use it wisely. The research aims to make it easier for users to control electrical devices and monitor the use of electricity at home even when they are not there. The method used is the Internet of Things (IoT) and Blynk technologies that installed on smartphones connected to the Internet. The research results show that users can control electrical devices at home and monitor the power used at home remotely only through their smartphones, as long as their smartphone has an internet connection. With the control and monitoring system, it will be easier for users to manage electricity usage and address instances of electricity wastage caused by user negligence in turning off the electricity when leaving the house

Abstract

According to research in 2018, 47% of Indonesia's population keeps cats.  This proves that almost half of Indonesia's population chooses to keep cats.  But without us realizing it, cat owners don't fully understand how to properly care for cats and even some people are still wrong in giving medication when cats are unwell, as a result many cats experience death due to inaccuracies in providing first aid.  One of the pet shops that provide consulting services is WIBI Petshop.  WIBI Petshop is a pet shop that is busy with customers.  This pet shop offers many services ranging from grooming services, hotel or daycare services to consulting services.  WIBI Petshop also sells various kinds of pet needs.  Currently WIBI Petshop is one of two pet shops in Selong whose services are still manual.  Where a customer who wants to do a consultation must confirm the existence of a veterinarian first, if the doctor is in place, then he can proceed with the consultation, but if not, the customer is forced to return and come the next day to confirm the doctor's presence again.  From these problems a solution emerges that can make it easier for customers who want to carry out consultations and make it easier for pet shops to accept consultations submitted by customers.  Stages of research on the system will be made using the Certainty Factor method.  The purpose of this study was to produce a web-based system for ordering reservation services with the booking feature and being able to check for pet cat diseases through the provided diagnostic page.  The author hopes that the system created can carry out the process of ordering services and can diagnose cat diseases to make it easier for cat keepers through the built web. Keywords: pet shop, cat disease reservation and diagnosis, expert system

Abstract

The development of information technology and the internet has changed consumers’ behavior in buying and selling transactions. This causes the online buying and selling business to grow rapidly. We can find this online buying and selling activity in various media such as social media platforms and online shop websites. However, most of the payment systems are though bank transfer system and then confirmation of proof of payment, which is arguably not safe and efficient. This is impractical and vulnerable from a security point of view, especially if payments are made online. Therefore, this study aims to design a web-based online store application by implementing a payment gateway system for safer and more efficient payment transactions. The method used in this study is the waterfall method with the stages of needs analysis, design, implementation, testing and maintenance. The result of this study is the design of an online store application that has been equipped with online payment services using the Midtrans payment gateway. This system provides transaction security for customers and can make it easier for buyers to make online payments when placing orders for products because with the payment gateway system, there are more choices of payment methods, including credit cards, bank transfers, electronic wallets (GoPay), or Indomaret and Alfamart, and many more. In addition, this research is also expected to contribute to online buying and selling businesses, especially the development of better online shop applications and provide inspiration for the public to start innovate in promoting their business products.

Abstract

With the development of information and communication technology (ICT), the use of the internet has become crucial in the preservation of local culture. Songak Village, located in Sakra District, East Lombok Regency, has cultural potential including history, customs, and local arts that need to be documented and promoted. However, the limited information systems and cultural promotion have led to a lack of attention from the younger generation towards cultural heritage. To address this, a website-based information system named "Ning Budaya Songak" was created, aimed at documenting and promoting the village’s culture digitally. The implementation method includes needs analysis, system design and development, testing, and training the community and village officials in using the website. The development results show that the website is effective in providing information about the village's culture, with features that allow the admin to manage content and visitors to access cultural information. The training conducted successfully improved the community's skills in managing this system independently. With this website, Songak Village has a great opportunity to preserve local culture, increase youth participation, and introduce its cultural tourism potential to a wider audience

Abstract

Warung Media is a start-up that provides various media needs such as laptop repair services, graphic design, videography, and all media needs that can be requested by yourself. Media stalls take advantage of technological developments to market their services online, namely through social media and offline. The design of this media shop application is a step to increase sales and promotion of service products offered by the media shop so that it can provide more benefits for the media shop itself. The purpose of building this system is so that customers can order products online and as a promotional media as well as more value from media stalls. In addition, with this application, users can easily see the products offered by media stalls. This system is designed using the java programming language and using the android studio application. The results of this study are the media shop application which is used as a means of sales promotion that can be accessed anywhere and anytime, the service ordering process can be done directly without having to come to the place, and can facilitate the process of buying services transactions, so as to increase sales of services from media stalls

Abstract

Tobacco leaf drying is an important process in determining the final quality of tobacco as a raw material for the cigarette industry. This process is generally carried out using a tobacco oven which is influenced by two main factors, namely temperature control and oven ventilation. If the temperature and ventilation settings are wrong, it can reduce the quality of the tobacco leaves produced. To overcome this, this study developed a tobacco oven control system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) which is integrated with a mobile application. This system is designed to monitor and regulate the temperature and open and close the oven ventilation automatically. The DHT11 temperature sensor is used to read the temperature in the oven, while the DC Servo motor is used to control the ventilation. All sensor data is displayed in real-time via an Android application connected to the esp8266 Ethernet module to the Arduino Uno microcontroller. The test results show that the system can run well, where the oven temperature and ventilation control work according to the specified threshold values. In addition, the oven owner can easily monitor the condition of the oven via a mobile application, so that the tobacco leaf drying process becomes more efficient and of higher quality.

Abstract

Vocational High School (SMK) is a formal education unit that organizes vocational education at the secondary education level as a continuation of SMP/MTs. There are several  programs specifically for SMK students to increase their scientific capacity and competence. Among the programs intended for SMK students are apprenticeship programs or field work practices (PKL), and UKK (Special Competency Test) which are held as graduation requirements. Furthermore, the program invites Guest Teachers from agencies or outside companies. Besides that, SMK students are also asked to create an entrepreneurship program to train students in the field of private entrepreneurship. The Informatics Engineering Study Program often conducts coaching as Guest Teachers for SMK students to improve their knowledge and skills. In addition, the Informatics Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, routinely organizes skills training every year to prepare for competency exams, where the competency skills that the Informatics Engineering study program has fostered include Expertise Competence in the fields of Computer and Network Engineering, Software Engineering and Multimedia, where the students who participated in this training came from several vocational high schools in East Lombok Regency. Therefore, to improve quality in terms of the quality of knowledge and skills for teachers and students, on this occasion the Informatics Engineering study program would like to hold a Skills competency training, especially in the field of computer and network engineering, to help teachers and students to have the knowledge and skills qualified. Teachers can provide sound knowledge and expertise to students so that students have good abilities and competencies according to the needs of the industrial world. Keywords: Computer Network Engineering, Training, SMK Expertise.

Abstract

Currently, technological developments have developed very rapidly and quickly, bringing about very big changes because they make the information obtained available quickly, easily, accurately and not limited by place and time. One example of developments in the world of technology is internet technology. With the existence of internet technology, the dissemination of information becomes more practical and easy to access anywhere, anytime, and anyone can access the information. Internet technology not only has an effect on business or trade development, but also has a role in the tourism sector. Because with internet technology, the delivery of information on tourist attractions can be more connected or interactive and the information is easy to obtain. East Lombok Regency, in Sembalun sub-district, especially in Sajang village, there are potential tourist destinations such as Mount Rinjani, Camping Grounds, and Waterfalls as well as Agrotourism, namely Coffee Gardens.
