Abstract

Tanah Laut Regency is a huge area with a large population to generate a lot of household/kitchen waste. Furthermore, Tanah Laut has a relatively significant waste of spent cooking oil due to its huge number of restaurants and food processing enterprises. The Banua Bersama Energy is a company that collects leftover cooking oil and sells it outside of the region. So far, sales have been made in the form of wasted cooking oil that has not been processed. This partner group does not yet have the knowledge and technology as them when it comes to processing spent cooking oil. It is envisaged that through this PKM program, partner groups can increase the economic worth and advantages of wasted cooking oil that has been collected. With the socialization to Biodiesel users, it has helped partners in fulfilling the market share from the production of processed used cooking oil.

Abstract

Adanya wabah Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) yang menyebar di Indonesia sejak Maret 2020 memberikan dampak penurunan omzet pada Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah di seluruh Indonesia, termasuk Zona Kopi yang berada di Kecamatan Pelaihari, Kabupaten Tanah Laut. Zona Kopi yang relatif dekat dari Politeknik Negeri Tanah Laut, yakni 6,7 km membuat tim pengabdian berinisiatif untuk menjadikan Zona Kopi sebagai mitra pengabdian dalam rangka membantu untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang terjadi akibat Covid-19. Tim pengabdian yang merupakan gabungan dari dosen Program Studi Teknologi Informasi dan Program Studi Teknologi Otomotif Politeknik Negeri Tanah Laut mengusulkan pembuatan sistem informasi pemesanan berbasis web dan alat FB-HECOOL yang dapat membantu mempertahankan suhu makanan dan minuman ketika dalam proses pengantaran. Setelah tim menyelesaikan pembuatan sistem informasi pemesanan dan alat FB-HECOOL, tim pengabdian melakukan kegiatan pelatihan tata cara penggunaannya kepada pemilik dan karyawan Zona Kopi sehingga peserta dapat mempunyai kemampuan untuk mengoperasikannya. Sistem informasi pemesanan dan alat FB-HECOOL ini selanjutnya dihibahkan kepada Zona Kopi. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini semua peserta dapat menggunakan sistem informasi pemesanan dan alat FB-HECOOL sehingga sistem dan alat yang dihibahkan dapat digunakan secara optimal.

Abstract

Motorcycle is an automotive product that is currently widely used by our society. In the fuel system there is one important part of it is a good air supply where one important component is an air filter that functions as an air filter needed in the combustion process. This research was conducted to show the effect of differences in the use of standard air filters and air filter variations on the performance of four-stroke vehicles, including emissions that occur in exhaust gas, fuel consumption as well as torque and power. This research was carried out experimentally on Yamaha Yamaha motorcycle brands 135 cc. Analysis of the data used is descriptive statistics with data displayed in graphical form. The results of the exhaust gas emission test on a standard air filter CO levels are better, but the HC and CO2 levels in the air filter variations are better. Furthermore, the maximum torque at the standard air filter is higher than the variation of the air filter, but for maximum power at the variation of the air filter is higher at 9.16 HP with 8.79 HP. Then the fuel consumption in the standard air filter is lower than the variation of air filters.

Abstract

Processing activities of oil palm fruit into CPO produce liquid waste that can pollute the environment, so it is necessary to process liquid waste in palm oil mills. This study aims to design the filtration to overcome the existing pollution in the palm oil mill. The table shows the formation of 3 filter ABC formations has the highest speed of 6.419 m/s. When we place a large meshing hole on the first level, the speed and speed are smaller, this can be seen in the CBA, CBAC and CBACB formations. The meshing formation with a small size in the first position can increase the speed and pressure, we can see this in the ABC, ABCA and ABCAB formations so that the oil palm wastewater filtration process can run smoothly without a decrease in fluid velocity.

Abstract

Briket adalah jenis bahan bakar yang diolah dari energi biomassa. Penggunaan biomassa arang sekam padi dalam penelitian ini. Tujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas briket terhadap suhu, waktu penyalaan, densitas, kadar abu dan kadar air, dengan diameter 35 mm dan tinggi 20 mm, berat rata-rata 14 gram. menggunakan perekat tepung tapioka dengan campuran sebesar 12% dan 25%. Hasil briket olahan mesin press untuk setiap butirnya memiliki nilai densitas, kadar abu, kadar air secara berturut-turut adalah 0,45 g/cm3, 4,1 %, dan 50 %, dan pembakaran 1 briket bisa mencapai suhu maksimal 396 ËšC, dan suhu konstan 300 ËšC selama 22 menit, serta lamanya pembakaran secara keseluruhan adalah 50 menit.

Abstract

Spark plugs are the most important thing in the combustion system. Spark plugs in internal combustion using gasoline significantly affect vehicle performance. Likewise, fuel use must follow the compression ratio in the combustion chamber. The purpose of this study was to obtain the effect of differences in hot, cold, and medium spark plugs on engine performance and also the effect of fuel differences in supporting the performance of pertalite and pertamax two-wheeled vehicles in supporting the performance of 135 CC two-wheeled four-stroke vehicles in 2009. The result with hot spark plugs will maximizer-pm, increasing torque and power with pertalite fuel—the effectiveness of increasing power by 31%.
