Abstract

Abstract ____________________________________________________________ This study aims to determine the level of anxiety of 21-year-old soccer athlete Putra Wijaya FC when facing a match. The anxiety level faktor in question is the Intrinsic and Extrinsic faktor. This research is a descriptive research.. The sample in this study were all 21-year-old soccer athletes, Putra Wijaya FC, totaling 25 people. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire compiled using a Likert scale. The data were analyzed descriptively with the percentage formula then categorized into five categories based on the mean value and ideal standard deviation. The results showed, on the intrinsic anxiety faktor that the highest frequency was in the High category with a total of 11. The percentage of the highest frequency was 44%. The lowest frequency is in the Low and Very Low categories with a total of 3 and a percentage of 12%. In the extrinsic anxiety faktor, the highest frequency is in the High Category with a total of 10 people. The highest frequency percentage is 40%. The lowest frequency is in the Very Low category with a total of 2 and a percentage of 8%.

Abstract

Abtract The problem in this study is the low long service ability of badminton player PB Wardah. The low ability to serve long is influenced by several factors, such as arm muscle strength and hand eye coordination. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between arm muscle strength and hand eye coordination with the long serve ability of badminton player PB Wardah. This type of study is correlational. A total of 30 male badminton players PB Wardah were used as research samples, who were recruited using purposive sampling technique. The arm muscle strength instrument uses a push-up test for 1 minute, eye-hand coordination uses a tennis ball throw and catch test, and long service ability uses a long serve test. Data were analyzed by simple and multiple correlation techniques α = 0.05. The results of hypothesis testing show: (1) there is a significant relationship between arm muscle strength and long service ability (tcount = 5.492 > ttable = 2.048), (2) there is a significant relationship between hand eye coordination and long service ability (tcount = 3.084 > ttable = 2.048), and (3) there is a significant relationship between arm muscle strength and hand eye coordination together with long service ability (Fcount = 26.814 > Ftable = 3.354). In conclusion, if badminton player PB Wardah wants to improve his long serve ability, he must have good arm muscle strength and eye-hand coordination. Abstract

Previous studies have found much of the effect of exercise on increasing the explosive power of leg muscles. However, research investigating variations in lower extremity muscle training forms to increase the explosive power of soccer players' leg muscles still needs to be completed. Therefore, references are needed to provide a fuller understanding and more effective solutions in designing training programs to increase the explosive power of leg muscles in soccer players. This study aimed to investigate the effect of various forms of lower extremity muscle training on increasing the explosive power of the leg muscles in soccer players. This study aims to provide a complete understanding of the types of exercises that are most effective in increasing the explosive power of the leg muscles, as well as to provide more effective solutions in the design of specific training programs for soccer players. Thus, this research should contribute to developing more optimal training methods and improving athletes' performance. This study uses the literature review method using a comprehensive strategy, such as searching for articles in the database of research journals. The databases used are Pubmed/MEDLINE, Scopus, Web of Science and Embase. The data used are the latest data from the last five years. Thus, recommendations of still very effective exercise variants can be recommended to trainers as a basis for creating training programs. Based on the analysis of research data, it has been found that strength training can increase the explosive power of the leg muscles. However, the study results showed that plyometric training was more effective than strength training in increasing explosive leg muscle power in soccer players. Therefore, a variation of plyometric exercises should be introduced to increase the explosive power of leg muscles in soccer players.

Abstract

This study examines how SeaRIA Aquatic athletes' butterfly-style swimming proficiency is affected by using fins and swimming boards during the learning phase. Using a quasi-experimental methodology, the study concentrates on 55 SeaRIA Aquatic athletes. Twenty male athletes were chosen using purposive selection, and groups were created using matching strategies. A pretest, a 14-session therapy phase, and a posttest are all included in the study. The butterfly swimming ability test is used as the assessment instrument. The normality test (Liliefors) and the t-test with a significance level of α=0.05 are used in data analysis. The results show a strong relationship between the fin-and-swimming board learning approach and the improvement of butterfly swimming skills in SeaRIA Aquatic athletes. The estimated t-value of 15.37 is more than the essential t-table value of 1.81, indicating that the observed influence is significant. These findings highlight how well fins and swimming boards can be incorporated into swim training regimens for SeaRIA Aquatic athletes, especially when mastering the difficult butterfly-style technique. The consequences of this study go beyond its local setting, providing insightful information to aquatic sports organisations, coaches, and trainers looking for evidence-based methods to improve their participants' swimming skills. This study adds to the current conversation about novel and efficient ways to maximise training plans and lays the groundwork for further research on water sports education and performance improvement.

Abstract

Background: Renang gaya kupu-kupu adalah gaya renang yang gerakannya terbilang sulit untuk dilakukan. Anak-anak di A&B Swim School Kuala Lumpur Malaysia masih kesulitan untuk berlatih renang gaya kupu-kupu. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah melatih/mengajarkan renang gaya kupu-kupu menggunakan alat penunjang seperti pulbouys dan fins. Subjek pengabdian anak-anak di A&B Swim School Kuala Lumpur Malaysia yang terdiri dari 25 orang anak-anak berusia 8-14 tahun. Metode: Metode yang diberikan adalah pelatihan renang gaya kupu-kupu kepada menggunakan pulbouys dan fins sebagai alat bantu latihan teknik gerakan tangan dan kaki, sehingga anak-anak lebih cepat bisa renang gaya kupu-kupu. Dengan  tahapan: 1) Latihan pernafasan renang gaya kupu-kupu di dalam air, 2) Latihan Gerakan kaki gaya kupu-kupu menggunakan fin, 3) Latihan Gerakan tangan menggunakan pulbouys, 4) Latihan koordinasi renang gaya kupu-kupu menggunakan fins. Hasil: Hasil kegiatan PKM ini anak-anak di A&B Swim School Kuala Lumpur Malaysia mampu melakukan renang gaya kupu-kupu dengan Teknik yang benar yang dilatih menggunakan alat bantu pulbouys dan fins. Kesimpulan: Pelatihan renang gaya kupu-kupu yang dilakukan menggunakan pulbouys dan fins ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan gerakan renang gaya kupu-kupu.

Abstract

Background: Lifeguard memiliki peran penting dalam menjaga keselamatan di lingkungan perairan dan memberikan pertolongan darurat saat terjadi kecelakaan air. lifeguard di Lifesaving Society Putrajaya Malaysia, sebagian berusia muda (±14 tahun) dan belum menguasai teknik renang dasar yang diperlukan untuk tindakan penyelamatan. Pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi renang dasar lifeguard melalui pelatihan teknik gaya bebas dan gaya dada sebagai gaya utama dalam penyelamatan air. Metode: Metode yang digunakan berupa pelatihan terstruktur yang berfokus pada teknik gerak, koordinasi, serta pengembangan daya tahan. Hasil: Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan renang, efisiensi gerakan, dan kesiapan lifeguard dalam menghadapi situasi darurat di air. Kesimpulan: Dengan demikian, pelatihan renang dasar terbukti berkontribusi pada peningkatan keselamatan operasional dan efektivitas penyelamatan di lingkungan perairan.
