Abstract

ABSTRACT The routine activities of the orphanage are routine activities carried out at the nursing home in accordance with the procedures determined by the social service for the management of the nursing home in order to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of the elderly and increase the ability of Activity Daily Living (ADL) in the elderly. The elderly who live in social institutions have a higher risk of developing or experiencing depression than the elderly who live with their family. The activities of this orphanage focus on meeting individual needs from the biopsychosocial and spiritual aspects. This study aims to see whether or not there is an effect of daily activities in the nursing home on the level of depression in the elderly. The research design was a pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest. The study consisted of 28 research respondents who were taken by purposive sampling technique. Depression levels were measured by the Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS). The respondents' level of depression was mild to moderate. The values of the GDS values before and after, with p value = 0.053 (p> 0.05). The results of this study indicate that there is no significant effect of daily routine activities on the level of depression in the nursing home, but this routine activity maintains the stability of depression levels in the elderly. Panti can find additional special interventions to treat depression in the elderly. Keywords:  routine daily activities, GDS, depression in the elderly

Abstract

The family approach is one form that can be taken by health workers to empower the potential of a family in increasing involvement in overcoming health problems. Family involvement in overcoming health problems is very necessary to increase the potential that exists within a family. Family potential will be optimal if the level of knowledge about care increases, and one way of increasing knowledge about health is obtained by providing health education. Family health problems will occur in families with a history of chronic disease in their family members. The aim of this research is to determine the level of knowledge of caring for a family with chronic disease health problems through health education using a family approach method. The method used is a pre-experimental research method, one group pretest-posttest. At the beginning of the activity, an assessment of family knowledge regarding caring for family members was carried out. Next, health education is carried out for the family and ends with a posttest assessment. The family approach chosen involves the involvement of some or all family members in health education activities. The results obtained from this activity were an increase in family knowledge about caring for family members with chronic illnesses. The conclusion is that health education with a family approach has an influence on increasing family knowledge. The suggestion is that the family approach be implemented sustainably and can use indirect face-to-face as well Abstrak Pendekatan keluarga merupakan salah satu bentuk yang dapat dilakukan oleh tenaga kesehatan untuk dapat memberdayakan potensi dari sebuah keluarga dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan dalam mengatasi masalah kesehatan. Keterlibatan keluarga dalam mengatasi masalah kesehatan sangat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan potensi yang ada di dalam sebuah keluarga. Potensi keluarga akan optimal jika Tingkat pengetahuan tentang perawatan meningkat, dan peningkatan pengetahuan tentang kesehatan salah satunya didapatkan dengan cara pemberian Pendidikan kesehatan. Masalah kesehatan keluarga akan terjadi pada keluarga dengan Riwayat penyakit kronis pada anggota keluarganya. tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Tingkat pengetahuan perawatan sebuah keluarga dengan masalah kesehatan penyakit kronis melalui pendidikan kesehatan dengan metode pendekatan keluarga. Metode yang digunakan adalah menggunakan metode penelitian pra eksperimen one group pretest-posttest. Pada awal kegiatan dilakukan penilaian pengetahuan keluarga tentang perawatan anggota keluarga. Selanjutnya dilakukan edukasi kesehatan pada keluarga dan diakhiri dengan penilaian posttest. Pendekatan keluarga yang dipilih melalui keterlibatan Sebagian atau seluruh anggota keluarga mengikuti kegiatan Pendidikan kesehatan. Hasil yang didapatkan dari kegiatan ini adalah terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan keluarga tentang perawatan anggota keluarga yang sakit penyakit kronis. Kesimpulannya bahwa pendidikan kesehatan dengan pendekatan keluarga memiliki pengaruh terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan keluarga. Sarannya adalah pendekatan keluarga dilaksanakan keberlanjutan dan dapat menggunakan tatap muka tidak langsung juga.

Abstract

Increasing knowledge is one thing that must be done as a promotive effort to increase knowledge in order to achieve optimal public health. Increasing knowledge about health is obtained from health education activities. In health education activities, a learning method is needed so that public understanding of the health material presented is maximized. One of the existing learning methods is deductive learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of understanding of health education if using the deductive learning method. The research design used was non-equivalent without control group. The sampling method was by purposive sampling with a sample size of 72 respondents with calculations based on research that had been conducted with the same title. The method of data collection was by measuring 2 times, namely measuring knowledge at the beginning before health education was carried out with the deductive learning method and measuring after health education activities. Data analysis with the Independent T-test analysis technique. The results of the study showed that the sig. (2-Tailed) value was 0.01 so that 0.01 <0.5, which shows that there is a positive influence of the use of the deductive learning method on increasing understanding of health education material. The conclusion of this study is that the deductive learning method can be used during the implementation of health education. The recommendation given is that health workers, especially nurses, use learning methods, one of which is the deductive method during health education activities. The implication for nursing is to always use the right learning method during the implementation of health education.   Abstrak Peningkatan pengetahuan merupakan satu hal yang harus dilakukan sebagai Upaya promotif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan agar tercapai derajat kesehatan Masyarakat yang optimal. Peningkatan pengetahuan tentang kesehatan didapat dari kegiatan Pendidikan kesehatan. Dalam kegiatan pendidikan kesehatan diperlukan suatu metode pembelajaran agar pemahaman masyarakat terkait materi kesehatan yang disampaikan maksimal. Salah satu metode pembelajaran yang ada adalah pembelajaran deduktif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Tingkat pemahaman pendidikan kesehatan jika menggunakan metode pembelajaran deduktif. Desain penelitian yang digunakan non ekuivalen without control group. Cara pengambilan sampelnya adalah dengan cara purposive sampling dengan besaran sampel yang digunakan adalah 72 responden dengan penghitungan berdasarkan penelitian yang pernah dilakukan dengan judul yang setipe. Cara pengumpulan data dengan melakukan pengukuran sebanyak 2 kali yaitu pengukukuran pengetahuan diawal sebelum dilakukan pendidikan kesehatan dengan metode pembelajaran deduktif dan pengukuran setelah kegiatan Pendidikan kesehatan. Analisa Data dengan tehnik analisis Independent T-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa diperoleh nilai sig. (2-Tailed) adalah 0,01 sehingga 0,01<0,5, dimana ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dari penggunaan metode pembelajaran deduktif terhadap peningkatan pemahaman materi pendidikan kesehatan. kesimpulan dari penetitian ini adalah metode pembelajaran deduktif dapat digunakan pada saat pelaksanaan Pendidikan kesehatan. Rekomendasi yang diberikan adalah tenaga kesehatan khususnya perawat adalah menggunakan metode pembelajaran, salah satunya metode deduktif pada saat kegiatan pendidikan kesehatan. implikasi untuk keperawatan yaitu gunakan selalu metode pembelajaran yang tepat pada saat pelaksanaan Pendidikan kesehatan.
