Abstract

Balanitis is an inflammatory disease of the tip of the penis that commonly occurs in uncircumcised men as a result of poor hygiene and aeration or because of irritation by smegma and in many cases preputial dysfunction is a causal or contributing factor. Balanitis generally attacks uncircumcised men, characterized by the glans and foreskin becoming red and inflamed. In circumcised men who do not have a foreskin, these symptoms only affect the tip of the penis. This condition often occurs due to the fungus Candida albicans, the same organism that causes vaginal yeast infections in women. Balanitis (which is also referred to as balanoposthitis) can also be caused by various other fungal or bacterial infections, or can occur due to sensitivity reactions to common chemicals. Diabetes can increase the chance of developing balanitis, especially if blood sugar is not well controlled. Currently, people who experience illness or events that have not occurred before in the genitals will consult or diagnose their illness with a specialist in skin diseases to find out what disease they are experiencing. This requires time, energy and costs just to consult a doctor. The aim of conducting this research is that currently there is no system for diagnosing inflammation of the male foreskin. For this reason, the author will create an alternative application system that can diagnose diseases that occur in the male genitals more easily by asking questions about the symptoms or events experienced as factors in the disease and providing a percentage value regarding the severity of the disease experienced.

Abstract

Nangka Village, North Binjai District, Binjai City is one of the villages that proposes and distributes assistance to the community. The current problem in the scheme of assistance to the community is the inaccuracy of recipient data. This can raise concerns that if there is no improvement it will lead to social conflict in the community. Efforts that can be made to overcome these problems in recording and determining the people who are entitled to receive assistance for the community are by using a Decision Support System (SPK) with the Weighted Product (WP) Method to implement the determination of acceptance of community assistance. The criteria used are income, number of dependent children, floor area, type of house wall, home ownership status, source of lighting, cooking fuel, and education of the head of the household

Abstract

The increasing complexity of public demand for telecommunication services, particularly internet services, has pushed PT. Telkom, as one of the state-owned enterprises (SOEs), to continuously enhance the quality of its services. One of its flagship products, Indihome, offers faster internet connectivity compared to dial-up services. However, Indihome has been frequently criticized by customers due to service disruptions. This indicates a need for developing effective strategies to address customer complaints. The primary issue faced by the public is the lack of knowledge regarding service disruptions, leading to difficulties in explaining the problem to technicians for repair. This research aims to develop a Telkom service disruption diagnosis system that can assist the public in identifying issues early without direct consultation with an expert. The system is developed using an expert system method, where information about service disruptions is processed to generate accurate diagnoses. With this system, customers can identify the type of disruption and provide clearer information to Telkom technicians. The research findings indicate that the most common disruptions are caused by faulty adapters or modems and disconnected configurations, with a density value of 54.49%. This system is expected to improve Telkom’s public service quality, minimize customer complaints, and expedite the repair process for Indihome services.

Abstract

In rapidly urban environments, air quality has become an important issue that affects public health and the environment. This research aims to design and implement a prototype of an IoT-based air quality monitoring device that can be used to monitor air conditions in urban environments. This prototype uses the DHT11 sensor for measuring temperature and humidity, the MQ135 sensor to detect the concentration of air pollutants such as CO, CO2, ALCOHOL, TOLUENE, NH4, and ACETONE, and an OLED LCD for displaying information. This system uses the NodeMCU ESP8266 as a microcontroller that connects devices to the internet and sends data to the Blynk application platform. The Blynk application serves as a user interface that allows for real-time monitoring of the device through a smartphone. With this system, users can obtain real-time air quality data to protect health and the environment in urban areas. The prototype evaluation shows that this system is effective in monitoring and displaying air quality information, as well as providing easy access to data through the Blynk application.

Abstract

Image is a combination of planes, points, lines and colors to create a physical or human object. Images can be in the form of 2-dimensional images, such as photographs and paintings. 3-dimensional image like a statue. The use of image media information has several weaknesses, one of which is the ease with which it can be manipulated by certain parties with the help of increasingly developing technology. In this study, the Rail Fence Cipher and Merkle Hellman methods were applied which aimed to obtain a stronger cipher by utilizing two key levels where an asymmetric algorithm was used to protect the symmetric key. The asymmetric algorithm used is Merkle Hellman and the symmetrical algorithm used is Rail Fence Cipher. The results of this study indicate that applying the Rail Fence Cipher and Merkle Hellman algorithms can secure image files and secure keys for data integrity. Encryption and description processing time is affected by the size and resolution of the image file.

Abstract

Digital image security is becoming increasingly critical in today's digital era, where sensitive information and data are often stored in image form. Therefore, an effective and secure encryption method is needed to protect the integrity and confidentiality of digital images. This study aims to implement a stronger security approach by combining classic encryption methods, namely the ROT13 algorithm and the Beaufort Cipher algorithm which produces an encryption called "Super Encryption". In this study, first of all, the ROT13 encryption method will be applied to randomize digital image text by shifting characters as far as 13 positions in the alphabet. Then, the Beaufort Cipher algorithm will be used to apply additional encryption to the digital image, which involves using the key as input in the encryption process. The results of this study indicate that the Super Encryption method which combines the ROT13 and Beaufort Cipher algorithms provides a higher level of security compared to using each method separately. Security testing and vulnerability analysis show that the combination of these two algorithms produces digital images that are more difficult to decrypt by commonly used decryption attacks.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology in the globalization era has significantly impacted various aspects of life, including the healthcare sector. RSU Bidadari Binjai, as a healthcare provider, faces challenges in diagnosing and preventing Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), a condition with high prevalence and serious complications such as Barrett’s esophagus and esophageal cancer. Therefore, a predictive system capable of early detection is needed to ensure quicker and more effective medical intervention. This research develops a computer-based predictive system using the backpropagation method in artificial neural networks to assist in diagnosing GERD by processing patient symptom data. The system's test results show an accuracy rate of 100% in predicting GERD complications based on the given symptoms, thus supporting more timely and accurate medical interventions.

Abstract

Communication is a very important activity. Communication is carried out with the aim of exchanging information between several individuals. Communication can be done in various ways. Those who wish to communicate with each other can meet in person or through intermediaries. There are several types of media that function as intermediaries of information. You can use several media such as print media, electronic media, and online media to get various information. Digital communication in the modern era is not far from the Internet because almost all digital communication tools use the Internet. Internet needs vary greatly from old to young, because Internet needs are different, connection management is needed (Management Bandwidth) so that client requests with high connections do not interfere with clients with relatively low connection requests. One of the tools commonly used for connection management is MikroTik with the Peer Connection Queue (PCQ) feature. The reason for choosing Mikrotik is because Mikrotik has complete features at an affordable price. The importance of connection management is to maximize the connection provided by the ISP so that clients can use the Internet without buffering.

Abstract

The heart is one of the important organs owned by humans that functions to pump blood throughout the body and accommodate it again after cleaning the lungs. Heart rate beats per minute (bpm) is a parameter to indicate the condition of the heart, and the way to know the condition of the heart is to know the frequency of the heart rate. This heart rate monitoring tool is designed based on the NodeMCU ESP8266 and pulse sensor to detect heart rate. This study aims to make it easier to find out the heart rate in real time. The NodeMCU ESP8266-based heart rate monitoring tool has been designed with a pulse sensor to detect heart rate. The heart rate data from the monitoring tool will then be sent via a wifi network connection and displayed on the Smartphone.

Abstract

Formalin is very dangerous for human health and for that we need to detect the content of formaldehyde in these foods so that this abuse should be known easily. For that we need a tool that can detect the content of formalin in food. The use of a gas sensor is the fastest way to detect formalin used in food because it does not require a chemical process that is not instant. The MQ-138 sensor is used as a formalin detection sensor in food where this tool uses an Arduino microcontroller as a processor and data processor for the MQ-138 sensor readings which then the sensor readings will be displayed on a 16x2 LCD display, and then the tool system is inputted with a fuzzy method. logic, with fuzzy logic that is safe, a little formalin, and a lot of formalin.
