Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) manakah yang menghasilkan prestasi belajar yang lebih baik, siswa yang dikenai model pembelajaran TGT dengan menggunakan alat peraga 2D atau 3D, (2) manakah yang menghasilkan prestasi belajar yang lebih baik, siswa dengan tingkat kecerdasan spasial tinggi, sedang, atau rendah, (3) apakah terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran TGT menggunakan alat peraga dan kecerdasan spasial terhadap prestasi belajar. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMA Negeri kelas X di Kabupaten Kulon Progo dengan teknik pengambilan sampel Stratified Cluster Random Sampling diperoleh 133 sampel. Penelitian eksperimen semu ini dilaksanakan dalam pembelajaran matematika pada materi dimensi tiga dengan desain the randomize control group pretest-posttest design. Uji normalitas dengan metode Kolmogorov-smirnov, uji homogenitas dengan metode Levene, uji keseimbangan kemampuan awal menggunakan Independent Sample T-Test dan uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan Anava dua jalan dengan sel tak sama (2x3 faktorial). Keseluruhan uji menggunakan SPSS dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menyimpulkan (1) prestasi belajar siswa yang dikenai model pembelajaran TGT dengan menggunakan alat peraga 3D lebih baik daripada yang menggunakan alat peraga 2D, (2) prestasi belajar siswa dengan tingkat kecerdasan spasial tinggi lebih baik daripada sedang maupun rendah dan prestasi belajar siswa dengan tingkat kecerdasan spasial sedang sama dengan rendah, (3) tidak terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran TGT dengan menggunakan alat peraga dan kecerdasan spasial terhadap prestasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

Design and application of learning models are important factors in achieving learning objectives. The purpose of this research is to apply online learning by collaborating the 3CM (Cool-Critical-Creative-Meaningful) model and peer tutors to improve learning outcomes and creativity of class IXA students of SMP Negeri 1 Batuwarno, applied for surface area of flat-sided shapes learning material. This Classroom Action Research uses the Kemmis & Mc Taggart model. The data collection techniques included documentation, observation, and test methods. The results showed that online learning using the collaboration of the 3CM learning model and peer tutors improved learning outcomes and creativity of class IXA students of SMP Negeri 1 Batuwarno. These results proved that the improvement of the learning process can still be done even though learning is carried out online, as long as it selects, prepares and implements the learning model appropriately.

Abstract

Creative thinking skill needs to be trained, even though the learning is conducted online these days. One of the attempts in developing students’ creative thinking skill is through the implementation of 3CM (Cool-Critical-Creative-Meaningful) learning model. This study aimed at analyzing the students’ creative thinking skill through the implementation of the model with two different creative products (problem construction and non-problem construction) in flat-surfaced three-dimensional object. The population of this research was the whole Junior High School students in Salatiga City with the 80 samples of students from SMP Negeri 1 Salatiga and SMP Negeri 6 Salatiga. This study applied quasi experiment research with pretest-posttest control group design. The data were collected through written test and the result of observation on the students. The data analysis used involves initial balance test and hypothesis test using parametric test called Independent Sample T-Test with the significance rate of α=5%. Before being administered with different treatments, the two samples class were in a balanced condition. The findings presented that the implementation of 3CM (Cool-Critical-Creative-Meaningful) with creative activity of project and problem posing (constructing problem and solving constructed problem) for the material of flat-surfaced three-dimensional object proved to be significantly affect, equally, the creative thinking skill.
