Abstract

This research is aimed to (1) investigate the learning quality of the implementation of Creative Problem Solving model with recitation and self-assessment based on Ethnomatematics in students’ creative thinking ability; and (2) explain the creative thinking ability on Creative Problem solving model with recitation and Creative Problem Solving model with recitation and self-assessment based on Ethnomatematics in students’ metacognition. Mixed method with Sequential explanatory was applied in this research. The subject of the research was determined by students’ metacognition scores in VII C class in SMP N 1 Getasan academic year 2017/2018. Observation, test and interview were employed in obtaining the data. The data analysis appeared to prove that (1) Creative Problem Solving learning model with recitation and self-assessment based on Ethnomatematics has good quality in the stage of planning, learning process, and the final result of learning; (2) low metacognition subjects were able to fulfill the fluency an elaboration indicators, but flexibility indicator, novelty indicator and elaboration indicator had not been fulfilled yet; then moderate metacognition subjects were able to fulfill fluency indicator and elaboration indicator but the flexibility indicator and novelty indicator had not been fulfilled yet, high metacognition subjects were able to fulfilled the whole indicators includes fluency indicator, flexibility indicator, novelty indicator and elaboration indicator.

Abstract

Mathematics mobile learning influences student learning outcomes. Making this application need skills and also the appropriate programs. The first goal in this study is to develop valid and effective mathematics mobile learning. The second goal in this study if using two different programs it would get the same or different results, is it different between the two applications made with different programs? This type of research is research and development (R & D). The first application research subjects were mathematics teachers and 8th grade students of Junior High School in Salatiga consisted of 28 students and the subjects in this study were divided into two, namely students in the 8G class who used the mobile learning application and who did not use it and this study was conducted in the second semester academic year 2014/2015. The second application research subject was 10th-grade students of Senior High School in Salatiga, consisted of 24 students. This research was conducted in the second semester of the academic year 2015/2016. The first application development model was using ASSURE Model and developed with ExeLearning program, while the second application used the ADDIE Model and developed with MIT Inventor 2 program. Data on learning outcomes were obtained by giving initial tests and final tests. Data were analyzed using N-gain enhancement test. The mathematics mobile learning application used the ExeLearning 2.0 program to obtain validation results with very good criteria for the display and material sections while for the improvement of student learning outcomes in the high category amounting to 0.7. The second mathematics mobile learning application obtained very good display validation results and for the material section in the good category, while the increase in learning outcomes obtained an increase in the high category which was 0.71. Both of these applications possessed differences and the characteristics of mobile learning applications also depend on which software is used. It has a unique impression of using the ExeLearning 2.0 application and MIT Inventor 2.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the SI SAGU Academic Supervision (Information System for Teacher Academic Supervision) model in the academic supervision process in the 3T (Foremost, Outermost, Disadvantaged) area in Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan Province. The research method used in this research is a quantitative research method by testing the SI SAGU Academic Supervision model used in the academic supervision process in the 3T area. The research subjects in this study were teachers, principals, and school supervisors in Bengkayang Regency. The instruments used in the study were practical questionnaires and interview guidelines. The instrument used has gone through validation and testing by expert validators, so it is feasible to be used in the research process. The data collection technique in this study was documentation of the results of observations, then giving a perception questionnaire to the SAGU SI users consisting of teachers, school principals, and school supervisors. The results showed that the Teacher Academic Supervision Management Information System (SI SAGU) was effectively used in the academic supervision process in the 3T area, namely Bengkayang Regency. Through SI SAGU, the supervision process can be carried out even though there are some geographical constraints and access to each school. The findings in this study are the effectiveness of the application of SISAGU in the 3T area in the academic supervision process, supported by the active participation and enthusiasm of all relevant stakeholders, namely teachers, schools, principals, school supervisors, and the education office.

Abstract

Capaian hasil belajar siswa kelas IV dalam pembelajaran IPA sangat rendah, yang ditunjukkan dengan banyaknya siswa yang belum mampu mencapai batas minimal (KKM). Rendahnya hasil belajar tersebut disebabkan oleh proses pembelajaran yang belum mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran IPA melalui penerapan model pembelajaran problem-based learning siswa kelas IV SDN 6 Sindurejo semester I Tahun 2019/2020. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Model PTK yang digunakan adalah odel spiral dari Kemmis, S dan Mc Taggart, R dengan menggunakan 2 siklus masing-masing siklus terdiri dari 3 tahap yakni (1) Perencanaan tindakan, (2) pelaksanaan tindakan dan pengamatan dan (3) refleksi. Subjek dalam penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV SDN 6 Sindurejo Kecamatan Toroh Kabupaten Grobogan Semester I Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020 sebanyak 22 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan teknik tes (tes formatif) dan non tes (observasi). Adapun Instrumen penelitian menggunakan butir-butir soal dan lembar observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah deskriptif komparatif yaitu perbandingan antar siklus menggunakan persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas IV SDN 6 Sindurejo Kecamatan Toroh Kabupaten Grobogan dengan materi Keragaman Lingkungan Hidup setelah menggunakan model Problem Based Learning. hal ini nampak pada perbandingan ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa pada kondisi pra-siklus sebesar 31,82%, pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 63,64% dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 90,90% dengan Kriteria Ketuntasan (KKM=75). Hasil penelitian ini disarankan untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran IPA di SD terutama dalam menggunakan model Problem Based Learning.

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media for mathematics, especially in developing the ability of grade 1 elementary school students to perform arithmetic operations on integers using the game media Angry Bird Mathematics. The research method used in this study is the ADDIE model. The research instruments used included student observation sheets, questionnaires, and tests. The study results showed that the Angry Bird Mathematics learning media met the valid criteria as indicated by the results of expert validation, which were included in very good criteria. The practical criteria show that the Angry Bird Mathematics learning media is practically used in the learning process. Then for the indicator of the effectiveness of the learning media, it shows that the Angry Bird Mathematics learning media is effective because it can improve student learning outcomes before and after using the media.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and examine the refractive thinking process of students with intuitive cognitive styles in solving complex problems. This research is an exploratory, descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The prospective research subjects were SWCU and UMS Mathematics Education undergraduate students, totaling 239 students consisting of 155 SWCU students and 84 UMS students. The subjects of this study consisted of 2 students with intuitive cognitive styles. The research instruments include the main and supporting instruments, including complex problems, cognitive style questionnaires, and interview grids. This research results from the refractive thinking process of Mathematics Education students with an intuitive cognitive style in solving complex problems, including perplexity, investigation, construct, evaluation and decision. The stages of an investigation, construct, and evaluation is carried out repeatedly and not sequentially (randomly). The perplexity stage occurs not only at the beginning of the stage but also occurs at each stage of refractive thinking. In addition, students decide to make sewing scheduling guesses based on their intuition.

Abstract

This research objective is to analyze students’ learning independence in the moodle-based learning at SWCU F-learn. This is a qualitative research by looking for the root of the research problem so that it can produce research findings. The subjects of this study were students from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education which consisted of 20 students and then 3 subjects were selected with certain criteria. The research instrument used in this study were learning independence questionnaire, interview guidelines, and observation of the implementation of learning through Moodle. The validity and reliability of the instrument were reached by the validation from expert validators. The research was carried out by distributing questionnaires to students related to learning independence, then from students who had high, medium, and low learning independence, in-depth interviews and observations of the learning process were carried out through lectures. The data analysis used qualitative analysis by triangulating data sources, namely from questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The learning independence is the result of several integrated factors such as learning motivation, learning objectives, learning strategies, and self-evaluation. Subjects with low learning independence were caused by low learning motivation so that they did not have clear goals for the targets to be achieved. Subjects with moderate independence had good learning motivation but lack of follow-up and implications, so that less improvements were made. Meanwhile, subjects with high learning independence had high learning motivation and awareness, were able to design learning targets and make improvements simultaneously. In general, online-based learning using the Moodle/Flearn system requires good learning independence so that learning goals and achievements can run.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has a huge impact on aspects of human life, one of which is in the world of education. Schools, teachers, learners and parents were also affected. The learning process that should be able to be performed in school with the assistance of teachers directly, now must move home by online with parental assistance. Accordance with the policy of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, namely Learning From Home by online. This sudden change in the way of learning makes it difficult for teachers to prepare and carry out learning. Ordinary learning is still difficult to do moreover learning that demands the creativity of teachers and learners. The ability of teachers to utilize technology is not good enough, so it becomes difficult if they have to do online learning. From the results of the survey, almost all learning activities are performed by sending materials and assignments, then tasks are done by students and the results are sent through WhatsApp groups (89.7% of 271 respondents). Learners become saturated and want to return to study in school (72.12%) which has an impact on decreasing opportunities to do creative activities for learners. The solution of this problem is to provide online learning facilities and support for teachers in preparing learning as well as for students and parents during the learning process. This will help teachers in preparing online learning so that teachers have enough time to develop materials and media that can be uploaded in online classes. In addition, there will be standards for organizing online classes so as to give students the opportunity to learn well, fun and can return creatively. One of the online learning designs that teachers can use is the design of online learning based on 3CM (Cool-Critical-Creative-Meaningful) learning. This learning provides students with the opportunity to develop critical, creative, meaningful thinking skills in fun and challenging ways in both partial and integrated online. The product of this activity is: 1) partial and integrated online classes; 2) Scientific articles that can be published in Community service journals.

Abstract

Academic supervision is one of the processes in an effort to improve the quality and professionalism of teachers through a process of regular supervision and coaching. Bengkayang Regency is one of the regencies in Indonesia that is included in the 3T criteria (Front, Outermost, Disadvantaged) with low academic supervision results, due to limited access and geographical conditions. The purpose of this study was to describe the impact of academic supervision carried out with a Management Information System (MIS) for academic supervision on the effectiveness of the performance of school supervisors. The research method used in this research is a mix method research method with a sequential exploratory model, which is a combination of qualitative and quantitative research. Qualitative analysis was carried out first to find out detailed data related to the supervision process carried out by school supervisors, while quantitative analysis was carried out by analyzing the differences in the achievements of academic supervision from before and after using the online supervision system. The research subjects used in the study were school supervisors in the Bengkayang district which consisted of 8 school supervisors. The research instruments used were questionnaires, interview guidelines, and documentation. The results showed that the Academic Supervision Management Information System (MIS) made it easier for school supervisors to carry out the academic supervises process. Through the system, the results of supervision have increased compared to the previous period. Tacademic supervisionhe online-based academic supervision system in general, is a solution to access limitations including distance, time, and the ratio of supervisors to supervised teachers. The suggestion in this study is that the use of an online-based academic supervision system can be used not only in the 3T area but can be applied in other areas, especially in the era of the covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Tujuan dari Penelitian ini adalah menganalisis kemampuan literasi matematika pada siswa yang merupakan peserta olimpiade nasional matematika (OSN). Metode dalam Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian kualitatif yaitu Penelitian yang menganalisis kemampuan literasi matematika siswa melalui proses penyelesaian masalah yang dilakukan. Analisis kualitatif yang dilakukan akan menghasilkan temuan terkait kemampuan literasi matematika khususnya pada siswa peserta olimpiade nasional. Subjek Penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 8 dan 7 yang termasuk dalam peserta OSN tingkat nasional tahun 2022 yang terdiri dari 2 orang. Instumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes literasi matematika, dan pedoman wawancara. Validitas instrument yang digunakan sudah melalui tahapan validasi ahli oleh validator, dan telah memenuhi kriteria sebagai instrument penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa literasi matematika siswa pada siswa peserta olimpiade nasional termasuk dalam kategori baik. Hal tersebut ditunjukan pada hasil pengerjaan siswa yang dikerjakan dengan baik dan tidak terdapat kesulitan yang berarti. Langkah-langkah pada literasi matematika yaitu formulate, employ, dan interpret dapat dikerjakan sesuai dengan soal yang diberikan pada soal. Temuan dalam penelitian ini adalah capaian dalam setiap tahapan literasi matematika berpengaruh pada capaian pada tahapan literasi matematika lainnya.
