Abstract

PjBL-HOTS is a learning that emphasizes contextual learning which is implemented through project activities in this project learning is carried out on a hots basis so that students can think more critically, creatively and actively in constructing learning and be able to solve problems in everyday life. This study aims to determine the effect of the PjBL-HOTS learning model on students' cognitive and metacognitive learning outcomes. This research was conducted at SMAN 5 Central Maluku on April 28 to May 28, 2021, which is located in Tulehu village. The method used is a quasi-experimental design. Based on the LSD further test, it shows that PjBLHOTS learning can affect students' cognitive learning outcomes as evidenced by the increase in cognitive and metacognitive learning outcomes with the average difference between the pretest and posttest cognitive results, which is -23.08571 and the average metacognitive value, which is 16.18081. learning that is done without a project. The results of this study indicate that the use of the PjBL-HOTS learning model can affect students' cognitive and metacognitive learning outcomes.

Abstract

Background: One kind of animals with spines are sea cucumbers. Sandy waters, rocky or muddy beaches, and coral reefs are common habitats for these species. Clear, clean waters with a fine sandy bottom, away from pounding waves, are ideal for the growth of sand sea cucumbers. Sea cucumbers are found in great number across Maluku. One such location is the waters surrounding Suli village, where sand sea cucumbers, or Holoturia scabra, are particularly common. Methods: Descriptive approaches are used in this study. The laboratory study findings served as the basis for the data sources. Results: In samples of sand sea cucumbers (Holothuria scabra), the protein yield was greater than the fat content. Conclusion: The protein content is 15.3544 and the fat content is 0.1816. This protein level figure is still below the maximum protein threshold of 72.93%.

Abstract

STEAM learning is one of the learning innovations that can be applied because it is able to develop 21st century skills. Based on this, the learning models that can be combined with the STEAM approach are project based learning (PjBL) and problem based learning (PBL). The aim of this research is to determine the influence of the PjBL STEAM learning model on cognitive, creative thinking and critical thinking learning outcomes and the influence of the PBL STEAM learning model on cognitive, creative thinking and critical thinking learning outcomes of junior high school students in Tanimbar district. This type of research is quasi-experimental research. The population is all students of SMP Negeri 1 Tanimbar Selatan, SMP Negeri 2 Tanimbar Selatan and SMP Negeri 1 Tanimbar Utara in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year with the sample being class VII. Data analysis usingAncova and continued with the LSD test with the help of SPSS Version 27. The research results show thatThere is influencePjBL STEAM learning model on the cognitive, creative thinking and critical thinking learning outcomes of junior high school students in the Tanimbar Islands Regency with a sig value < 0.05 and there is an influence of the PBL STEAM learning model on the cognitive, creative thinking and critical thinking learning outcomes of junior high school students in the Tanimbar Islands Regency with a value sig < 0.05

Abstract

The low motivation and cognitive learning outcomes of students can be caused by errors in the selection and use of learning models in the class. This study aims to determine the effect of discovery video learning and problem-based learning model (pbl) on motivation and learning outcomes of class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Ambon. The research method used was a quasi-experimental research design using a pretest posttest nonequivalent control group design. The sample used was grade X MIPA-6 and X MIPA-7 students. The instrument used was a questionnaire containing 30 items to measure motivation and 60 multiple choice questions to measure cognitive learning outcomes. Motivational data and student learning outcomes were analyzed with the ANCOVA test. The results showed that there was no effect of the discovery-assisted learning model and the pbl learning model on student motivation (p > 0,05). But there is an influence of learning models of learning with the help of the discovery and pbl learning models on cognitive learning outcomes (p < 0,05). The conclusion of this study, the discovery learning model and pbl learning model do not affect motivation but affect cognitive learning outcomes

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the cooperative learning model of talking stick type in improving the learning outcomes of heat transfer concepts in grade V students of SD Inpres 48 Ambon. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (PTK). Based on the data obtained during the implementation of cycles I and II, the research results in cycle I were still in the sufficient category (C) while for cycle II it increased to the very good category (SB). The conclusion in this study shows that student learning outcomes on the concept of heat transfer in grade V students of SD Inpres 48 Ambon by applying a cooperative learning model of talking stick type have increased.

Abstract

Coastal areas have high biodiversity, which is essential in supporting sustainable development. However, low biodiversity literacy among coastal communities challenges conservation efforts and sustainable resource utilization. Reorienting interdisciplinary-based education is a necessary strategy to improve people's understanding of coastal ecosystems, including coral reefs, mangrove forests, and seagrass beds. Therefore, this paper aims to analyze the potential of coastal resources as a pillar of sustainable development, identify interdisciplinary approaches that can support biodiversity literacy, and design interdisciplinary strategies in reorienting education. Various scientific fields, such as Marine Science, Agricultural Science, Education Science, Social and Political Science, Legal Science, and Education Management science, can contribute to building a holistic and community-based educational approach. Knowledge in the form of local wisdom can support coastal area management. For example, the Sasi tradition in Maluku is vital in preserving marine biodiversity by regulating the sustainable use of natural resources according to the ecosystem cycle. Through synergies between academia, government, and communities, adaptive education programs can be implemented to equip communities with sustainable marine resource management skills. This approach is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly goals 14 (Marine Ecosystems), 4 (Quality Education) and 13 (Addressing Climate Change). With proper policy support, education in coastal areas is expected to create an environmentally aware generation, adapt to global challenges, and actively preserve marine ecosystems for sustainable prosperity.
