Abstract

As an invasive and poisonous plant, Lantana has become a pest in the agricultural world. Still, on the other hand, it becomes an ornamental plant with different positive potentials. Lantana flower datasets are not yet widely available for open image classification research, given that the research needs are still broad in remote sensing. This study aims to provide a model with classifier accuracy that outperforms similar studies and Lantana datasets for classification needs using several algorithms that can be run on small source computers. This study used five types of lantana colors, red, white, yellow, purple, and orange, as the primary dataset, which had 411 instances. VGG16 assisted feature extraction in preparing datasets for the data training using three classifiers: decision tree, AdaBoost, and k-NN. 2-fold cross-validation, 5-fold cross-validation, and a self-organizing map are used to help validate each process. The experiment to measure the classifier's performance resulted in a good figure of 99.8% accuracy for 2-fold cross-validation, 100% for 5-fold cross-validation, and a primary dataset of lantana interest that can be accessed freely on the IEEE Data port. This study outperformed other related studies in terms of classifier accuracy.

Abstract

Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan keterampilan kepada anggota karang taruna dalam memanfaatkan komputer yang tidak digunakan menjadi layanan server sehingga menambah wawasan dan pengetahuan serta dapat dijadikan sebagai lapangan usaha baru seperti penyedia layanan internet bagi masyarakat sekitar. Metode yang diterapkan berupa 20% ceramah dan 80% pelatihan sehingga anggota karang taruna dapat memahami lebih baik dan dibekali pengetahuan mengenai pengelolaan komputer dan administrasi komputer sebagai layanan server berbasis open source. Evaluasi dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan untuk mengukur tingkat pemahaman anggota karang taruna terkait penjelasan materi yang diberikan baik secara ceramah dan praktik secara langsung. Hasil evaluasi berupa pretest dan posttest menunjukkan bahwa seluruh anggota karang taruna dapat memahami dengan baik seluruh materi dan penjelasan yang diberikan oleh tutor dan berdasarkan hasil survei kepuasan terhadap penyelenggaraan pelatihan seperti ini diperoleh hasil bahwa 90% anggota karang taruna menyatakan puas dan berharap pelatihan-pelatihan seperti ini dapat diselenggarakan lagi dikarenakan pelatihan ini sangat bermanfaat bagi kehidupan mereka dan menambah keterampilan hidup.

Abstract

Dalam mewujudkan Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi yakni aspek pengabdian, dilaksanakan kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) oleh mahasiswa dengan tujuan untuk mengaplikasikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang telah diperoleh selama perkuliahan dalam konteks nyata masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di GMIT Ebenhaezer di Desa Baumata Timur oleh mahasiswa KKN Tematik Fakultas Teknik Universitas Katolik Widya Mandira. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan adalah sosialisasi pelatihan penggunaan website admin GMIT Ebenhaezer Bilamun kepada pihak gereja. Website admin GMIT Ebenhaezer Bilamun adalah situs web yang oleh admin digunakan untuk proses mengontrol informasi yang ditampilkan pada website utama GMIT Ebenhaezer Bilamun, meliputi proses tambah, ubah, dan hapus data-data terkait gereja. Seluruh informasi yang perlu dimasukan ke dalam website utama GMIT Ebenhaezer Bilamun bergantung pada pihak gereja yang bertanggung jawab dalam menambah, mengubah, dan menghapus informasi tersebut agar dapat diketahui anggota jemaat maupun masyarakat luas. Tujuan dari kegiatan sosialisasi ini adalah memberikan pelatihan penggunaan web admin GMIT Ebenhaezer kepada pihak gereja agar seluruh informasi yang ada dapat dikelola dengan mudah. Metode yang dipakai adalah demonstrasi penggunaan sistem dan tanya jawab antar pihak gereja dan pemateri. Dari pihak gereja diwakili oleh kedua Sekretaris, sedangkan pihak pemateri diwakili oleh 2 orang mahasiswa. Hasilnya pihak gereja dapat memahami dan memperoleh keterampilan dalam mengelola informasi melalui website admin GMIT Ebenhaezer Bilamun.

Abstract

Malaka Regency is one of the regencies that is often affected by floods every year. The losses caused by floods include, cutting off access to an area and damage to houses and furniture in the house, so that people have to evacuate to other areas or to higher ground. Incidents like this show that these houses have not been able to respond to floods that occur, including Fahiluka Village in Malaka Tengah District, Malaka Regency. The characteristic of Malaka Regency settlements is traditional houses in the form of stages with wooden walls and thatched roofs. Traditional stilt houses are also included in flood disaster response housing, but stilt houses have almost disappeared due to modern houses that are built directly in contact with the ground. This study aims to design a flood-responsive building model by utilizing modern building materials but still adhering to local wisdom. The results of the calculation and modeling of the flood that will occur with a return period of 25 years, obtained a maximum flood height of 2.5 meters. Building materials use reinforced concrete construction on the elements of the building structure and the shape of the building resembles a local building model and the function of the building space is adjusted to the needs of the community, the area of ​​the house designed is 54 m2. The design of the building with a stilt house model is expected to be one of the solutions in minimizing losses due to the overflow of the flood community that cannot be avoided in the Fahiluka village area.

Abstract

This program aims to apply science and technology through a community service program. The application of science and technology includes practical training in the basics of circuit making and programming through Wokwi simulations. This is done to improve knowledge and skills through practice for students and teachers of the Computer and Network Engineering Study Program at SMK N Noemuti. The activities carried out include introduction and training in basic IoT programming with Wokwi hardware simulations that are easy to understand and comprehend. The activity begins with an introduction to IoT, algorithms and programming, and the Wokwi platform; creating a Wokwi account and Basic IoT Programming training. To achieve the above goals, training and mentoring were carried out for 3 months. The methods used are lectures, practices, questions and answers, discussions and exercises. The results of this community service activity are able to provide solutions to the lack of knowledge of programming and developing IoT devices because there is no special learning about algorithms and programming. In addition, this community service activity also provides solutions to the unavailability of IoT hardware that supports learning activities. This is measured from the results of quantitative and descriptive evaluations which show an increase in student knowledge reaching 100% for quantitative evaluations and positive review results from descriptive evaluations.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the important features including symptoms and risk factors for dengue diagnosis. This study’s dataset was obtained from medical records collected from two hospitals in Indonesia from patients with dengue and nondengue diseases. Four feature selection methods including feature importance, recursive feature elimination, correlation matrix and KBest were leveraged to determine significant features. Feature importance employed a tree-based classifier to derive the importance scores of the features. Recursive feature elimination employed a machine learning classifier to choose the most important features from the given dataset. Correlation matrix was employed to select the best features because it has the ability to use the correlation between each feature with the target. Univariate feature selection – Kbest has the ability to choose the best features based on univariate statistical tests. Important features were also gathered from fifteen Indonesian medical doctors to confirm the results. We used six machine learning techniques for dengue prediction. The random forest classifier yields the highest accuracy for the best combination of features with the accuracy of 0.93 (LR: 0.90 (0.04), KNN: 0.89 (0.04), XGBoost: 0.91 (0.03), RF: 0.93 (0.04), NB: 0.88 (0.09), SVM: 0.89 (0.04)) and precision of 0.90 (LR: 0.86 (0.22), KNN: 0.67 (0.14), XGBoost: 0.77 (0.13), RF: 0.90 (0.13), NB: 0.66 (0.20), SVM: 0.66 (0.18)). This study shows the significant features for dengue diagnosis including fever, fever duration, headache, muscle and joint pain, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, shivering, malaise, loss of appetite, shortness of breath, rash, bleeding nose, bitter mouth, temperature and age. This knowledge is pivotal to educate society to seek medical advice when dengue symptoms appear to avoid severe conditions. Arthralgia/joint pain and myalgia/muscle pain are the most significant features for the dengue prediction. This knowledge is important for medical doctors as a starting point for clinical dengue diagnosis.

Abstract

Tanah merupakan media sebagai tempat tumbuhnya tanaman. Tanah yang sehat menyediakan nutrisi penting di dalamnya. Komponen tanah yang terdiri dari bahan padatan, air, dan udara merupkan sumber daya alam yang sangat memengaruhi kehidupan. Fungsi utama tanah bagi tanaman adalah sebagai media untuk pertumbuhan dan berproduksi tanaman. Kemampuan tanah sebagai media tumbuh akan optimal jika didukung oleh sifat fisika, kimia dan biologi yang baik, biasanya menunjukkan tingkat kesuburan tanah. Penilaian kesuburan tanah secara komprehensif dapat dilakukan berdasarkan indikkator-indikator kesuburan tanah yang terdiri dari sifat fisik, kimia dan biologi tanah. Namun belum terdapat standar tetap dalam menilai kesuburan tanah secara komperehensif, dan masyarakat yang belum mengetahui dan memahami indikator kesuburan tanah. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan suatu Sistem Pendukung Keputusan (SPK) untuk membantuyang dapat melakukan penilaian kesuburan tanah . Tujuan penelitian ini menghasilkan sebuah sistem pendukung keputusan yang dapat membantu masyarakat untuk menentukan kesuburan tanah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam menentukan kesuburan tanah adalah Simple Additive Weighting (SAW). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa metode Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) sangat efektif dalam menentukan kesuburan tanah serta dapat membantu masyarakat khususnya yang berkecimpung di bidang pertanian untuk menilai apakah tanah yang digunakan tersebut dalam kondisi baik atau tidaknya dengan cara yang mudah dan cepat serta memperoleh status kesuburan tanah suatu daerah berdasarkan indikator kesuburan tanah yang telah ditentukan berdasarkan kriteria yang tersedia.

Abstract

Implementasi alat irigasi tetes berbasis IoT dilakukan bagi kelompok tani Sinar Baru Desa Toobaun, Kecamatan Amarasi Barat, Kabupaten Kupang untuk meningkatkan produksi tanaman lombok. Dalam kegiatan pertanian holtikultura, kelompok tani Sinar Baru terbantu dengan sistem irigasi melalui pipa PVC bantuan pemerintah. Permasalahannya, instalasi pipa terbatas pada 1 sisi bedeng yang dialiri pada pagi dan sore hari secara manual. Di siang hari tanaman mengalami kekeringan yang berakibat gagal panen karena pertumbuhan tanaman kurang optimal. Implementasi dilakukan pada 30 tanaman lombok merah. Kegiatan dilakukan melalui 3 tahap, yaitu persiapan, implementasi, monitoring, dan evaluasi. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa alat irigasi tetes berbasis IoT menghemat waktu, tenaga dan air untuk penyiraman. Kontrol terhadap tanaman dilakukan 2 kali sehari. Tanam lombok lebih cepat dipanen dalam waktu 2 minggu dengan jumlah panen meningkat menjadi ± 1000 kg. Alat irigasi tetes berbasis IoT sangat berguna dan 90 % peserta mudah menggunakan.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the public opinion in Indonesia regarding the existence of online loans. Online loans are a type of banking service through technology known as the Financial Technology (FinTech) Industry. According to a report by the Financial Services Authority, in August 2023, more than 13.37 million accounts were using this service. Online loan services are considered to provide convenience and comfort for consumers. However, many harmful cases have emerged, such as extremely high interest rates and aggressive debt collection practices that have caused public concern. Therefore, a sentiment analysis is conducted to understand public opinions, which can serve as a reference for online loan service providers and operators. By using 11,288 Indonesian-language tweets, the public opinion on online loans is analyzed. The study employs two sentiment analysis methods: Naïve Bayes and K-Nearest Neighbor. The results of the study show that the sentiment toward online loans is 62.29% negative, 33.19% neutral, and 5.52% positive. The results also indicate that the Naïve Bayes method has slightly higher accuracy (67%) compared to the K-Nearest Neighbor method (63%). It is hoped that this sentiment will have a positive impact on online loan service providers and operators.

Abstract

The development of a Contractor Management Information System is very important for the construction industry, particularly for PT. Sari Karya Mandiri, which has many permanent employees and projects that are physically completed. This research aims to develop a web-based management information system using the Critical Path Method (CPM) as a project management tool to make PT. Sari Karya Mandiri’s operations more efficient and effective. This framework is expected to address issues such as cost control, human asset management, unstructured project management, and improve project execution time efficiency. The system development method uses the waterfall model. The stages of completion include system requirements analysis, design, development, implementation, and testing. Testing is conducted to evaluate how well the system handles construction project management. The results of the research show that this framework can improve project planning, thereby reducing delays. The administrative data framework can function efficiently at PT. Sari Karya Mandiri and enhance the sustainability of the construction industry as a whole.
