Abstract

Abstract: This activity was carried out on SMEs producing snacks from sweet potatoes, namely opaque located in Medan under the name UD. Opak Minang Yolanda. Based on the observations, several problems were found, namely the texture is too fragile so it breaks easily, the taste has only one taste (original taste), the size is too large and the packaging is too simple. This activity is intended to assist UD. Opak Minang Yolanda in solving the main problems as described previously.The specific target in this activity is to improve product by diversifying products including texture, taste, size, packaging. The methods used in this activity are observations, interviews and seeking information from various literatures in the form of books, articles in journals, newspapers, relevant magazines and searching online. This activity also used a coaching pattern. The achievement of this study is the idea of opaque diversification for improvement in the sustainability of UD. Opak Minang Yolanda is an improvement in texture by thickening the volume of the opaque when formed, flavors made into various variants that are tailored to consumer tastes, sizes are made into two variants, namely large and small, making the packaging more attractive.Keywords: observation; opaque; snacks Abstrak: Studi ini dilakukan pada UMKM di Medan yang menghasilkan opak yaitu makanan ringan dari ubi dengan nama UD. Opak Minang Yolanda. Berdasarkan hasil observasi ditemukan beberapa permasalahan yaitu tekstur (permukaan) yang terlalu rapuh sehingga mudah pecah, hanya satu rasa yaitu original, ukuran (bentuk) yang terlalu besar dan kemasan (bungkus) yang terlalu sederhana. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membimbing UD. Opak Minang Yolanda dalam menyelesaikan kesulitan utamanya seperti yang diuraikan sebelumnya. Sasaran utama kegiatan ini adalah membenahi produk dengan diversifikasi produk meliputi tekstur, cita rasa, ukuran, kemasan. Metode yang dilakukan pada kegiatan ini adalah melangsungkan pengamatan, tanya jawab, dan menggali fakta-fakta dari berbagai referensi seperti buku, artikel pada jurnal, surat kabar, majalah yang relevan dan juga pencarian informasi secara online. Selain itu dilakukan pembinaan untuk merubah kualitas produk UD. Opak Minang Yolanda. Capaian luaran kegiatan ini adalah buah pikiran melalui diversifikasi opak untuk memperbaharui dan keberlanjutan UD. Opak Minang Yolanda yaitu pada tekstur dengan cara lebih menambah volume opak ketika dibentuk, cita rasa yang lebih bervarian yang disesuaikan dengan selera konsumen, ukuran menjadi 2 (dua) varian yaitu besar dan kecil serta menciptakan kemasan menjadi lebih menarik.Kata kunci: makanan ringan; observasi; opak

Abstract

This research aims to know at a glance about the Indian community in Medan. This type of research is qualitative research. The research location in Medan city is mainly Madras Hulu area. Method of data collection is done through interviews, observation, literature studies and using a list of questions. Indonesian Ethnic Indian community who since birth has been in Medan city because it has interacted, and mingled with other citizens, the results of a brief study of ethnic Indian communities in Medan related to language, religion, occupation, and culture. For ethnic Indians who have been in Medan since birth, they use Bahasa Indonesia every day even they can not use Indian. The work that some ethnic Tamil Indians have is rough work like parking attendants and so on. In general, religions embraced by ethnic Indians in Medan are Hinduism, Buddhism, and Islam. The results of the interview of the three informants showed that although they were born in Medan, they still hold Indian Culture

Abstract

The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of the product and the price of the purchase decisions of consumers SME market case on Pajak USU (Pajus) Medan. This research uses quantitative approach with explanatory research type. The sample technique used is non probability sampling, the number of samples are 96 respondents selected at random and data collection techniques used are questionnaires that measurement using Likert scale and statistical analysis with multiple linear regression method. The results showed that product completeness partially has no positive and significant effect on consumer purchase decision and price partially have a positive and significant impact on consumer purchase decision. Whereas product completeness and price simultaneously influencing consumer purchase decision in Pajus Medan. The findings confirm that consumers' choice of coming to that place is to buy a product at a cheap price not because of the availability of a more complete product.

Abstract

Success in a learning process can not be separated from the role of teacher during the process. In the learning process, lecturer can choose and   use several methods of teaching that aims to make learning more interesting. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of role playing for Human Resources Management I subject in improving learning outcomes, level of creativity and liveliness of the third semester students of Management Department Faculty of Economic of  Unimed. The technique of collecting data from this study is the result from pre test before action class research and the data from each cycle divided into first and second cycle. The sample used in this study were  two classes A and B, total 75 students. The results showed that there was increasing in activity and learning outcomes of the students. The average score of pre test was 58, and from the first cycle increased to be 67 then the  average of second cycle increased to be 81. Student activity in the affective aspect increased from cycle I to cycle II. In the first cycle,  got percentage of average ability students were 35% (less successful), and on the second cycle increased to 84% (successful). Thus, it can be concluded that the role playing is effective for learning model to improve learning outcomes of the students from the first cycle to the second cycle.

Abstract

The Ucok fruit stall located in the MMTC Complex, Jalan Pancing Medan, does not experience a significant increase in sales every year. Therefore, the author conducts coaching on this kiosk which aims to increase sales of this fruit kiosk continuously. The problems faced by the Ucok fruit kiosk are the very high level of competition, cleanliness, layout and the unavailability of simple financial reports. Through interviews, observations and literature studies, the authors have carried out a series of coaching activities such as adding new fruit types, making packaging for several fruits using foam nets/nets/nets as a product diversification step, always paying attention to the cleanliness of the kiosk, redesigning the layout preparation fruit starting from setting the color, size and type of fruit and make financial records in a simple way.

Abstract

A foundation is a legal entity where the purpose of the legal entity is for social, religious and humanitarian purposes. This institution was established with conditions that have been regulated and its existence has been recognized by the community and the State. In Indonesia, the establishment of a foundation is regulated in Law number 28 of 2004 and has now been updated, namely in Law number 16 of 2001, in Law number 28 of 2004 and also Law number 16 of 2001, not only in the form of rules but also of a coercive nature. The Orphanage is a place to care for orphaned children. But it's not only orphans in the orphanage, there are also children who have been abandoned by their parents. Like a victim of parental divorce. The Orphanage is sheltered by a foundation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze consumer satisfaction with services and products at Hijabsunshine.co, Yasin Water Depot, 90 degree coffee and penyet chicken safa marwa. data was collected through interviews and distributing questionnaires to 30 respondents in each business, so that the total is 120 respondents. This research is quantitative descriptive. Data analysis was obtained from the frequency using the SPSS program. The results showed that in general the respondents expressed satisfaction with the services and products provided by Hijabsunshine.co, Yasin Water Depot, 90 degree coffee and penyet chicken safa marwa. researchers hope that every MSMEs in Medan City should continue to evaluate the services and products they provide in order to be able to satisfy consumers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether consumers at Cafe family Jermal know about cafes based on Word of Mouth, the level of effectiveness of WOM that has been carried out so far at cafes and the factors that can affect WOM at cafe family jermal. The sample in this study amounted to 60 respondents. This research is quantitative descriptive. Data were collected through interviews, observations, questionnaires and literature study. The data analysis technique is descriptive using the SPSS program. The results showed that all respondents stated that they received information about the cafe family Jermal from people they knew. The increase in sales levels and the increase in the number of consumers at the cafe family Jermal indicate that the word of mouth promotion strategy has been running effectively. Consumers who have come to the cafe convey to people they know information about the cafe. This shows that the success of word of mouth is closely related to consumer satisfaction. Factors that affect word of mouth at the cafe family jermal are related to information about this cafe such as food and drinks (taste, price, type, and packaging), location (area of parking, location is not far), service (waiting time, hospitality of cafe waiters, responsiveness), cafe conditions (tidy, clean and comfortable). Keywords: Promotion Strategy, WOM, Cafe Family Jermal Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah konsumen di Cafe family Jermal mengetahui tentang cafe berdasarkan Word of Mouth, tingkat keefektivan WOM yang telah dilakukan selama ini di cafe dan faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi wom di cafe familyJermal. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 60 responden. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, penyebaran angket dan studi kepustakaan. Teknik analisis data adalah deskriptif menggunakan program SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan semua responden menyatakan bahwa mereka mendapat informasi tentang cafe family jermal dari orang yang mereka kenal, Kenaikan tingkat penjualan dan bertambahnya jumlah konsumen di cafe family jermal menunjukkan bahwa strategi promosi word of mouth telah berjalan secara efektif. Konsumen yang pernah datang ke cafe menyampaikan kepada orang yang mereka kenal informasi tentang cafe. Ini menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan word of mouth sangat erat kaitannya dengan kepuasan konsumen, Factor-faktor yang mempengaruhi word of mouth di cafe family jermal berhubungan dengan informasi tentang cafe ini seperti makanan dan minuman (rasa, harga, jenis, dan kemasan), lokasi (area parkir, lokasi tidak jauh), pelayanan (waktu menunggu, keramah tamahan pelayan cafe, cepat tanggap), kondisi cafe (rapi, bersih dan nyaman). Abstract

Toko Geana Sandal yang berada di Jalan Gedung Arca Medan mengalami kendala-kendala seperti saluran distribusi yang konvensional, kurangnya promosi, tata keuangan yang tidak efektif dan kurangnya keaamanan lingkungan. Oleh karena itu penulis melakukan pembinaan terhadap toko ini yang bertujuan agar toko Geana Sandal ini dapat meminimalisir resiko-resiko usaha. Adapun permasalahan-permasalahan yang di hadapi toko Geana Sandal adalah tidak adanya toko online, belum memiliki media online untuk memasarkan produk, belum memiliki laporan keuangan yang efektif, serta lingkungan yang tidak aman. Melalui wawancara, observasi dan studi kepustakaan maka penulis telah melakukan serangkaian kegiatan pembinaan seperti membuka toko online di perusahaan e-commerce, merekomendasi media sosial yang efektif untuk digunakan dalam berbisnis, memberikan edukasi mengenai laporan keuangan serta memberikan rekomendasi untuk penambahan CCTV pada toko Geana Sandal.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) memegang peran penting sebagai penggerak roda ekonomi lokal, termasuk di sektor kuliner Kota Medan yang terus berkembang. Salah satu contoh menarik adalah Ice Cream Alpukat Al-Fathir, sebuah UMKM inovatif yang menghadirkan minuman alpukat segar berpadu dengan es krim lembut dan sentuhan manis gula aren. Kombinasi unik ini berhasil menarik perhatian konsumen dan memiliki potensi pasar yang menjanjikan. Namun, seperti banyak pelaku usaha lainnya, Ice Cream Alpukat Al-Fathir juga dihadapkan pada berbagai tantangan. Mulai dari ketatnya persaingan pasar, fluktuasi harga dan cuaca yang mempengaruhi bahan baku, hingga keterbatasan dalam penggunaan teknologi serta permasalahan operasional sehari-hari. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui observasi langsung, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi terhadap pelaku usaha. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengidentifikasi permasalahan yang dihadapi sekaligus merumuskan solusi yang aplikatif dan berkelanjutan. Hasil pembinaan menunjukkan bahwa berbagai kendala tersebut dapat diatasi dengan strategi yang tepat, seperti diferensiasi produk yang menarik, optimalisasi penggunaan media sosial untuk pemasaran, peningkatan kualitas layanan pelanggan, pemanfaatan teknologi digital sederhana, serta pembenahan manajemen usaha dan fasilitas pendukung. Dengan pendekatan yang adaptif dan inovatif, Ice Cream Alpukat Al-Fathir berpeluang besar tumbuh menjadi UMKM yang tidak hanya bertahan di tengah persaingan, tetapi juga mampu berkembang secara kompetitif dan berkelanjutan. Kata Kunci: Inovasi Produk, Strategi Pemasaran, Pembinaan UMKM Abstract Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in driving the local economy, including in Medan's growing culinary sector. One compelling example is Al-Fathir Avocado Ice Cream, an innovative MSME that offers a refreshing avocado drink combined with soft ice cream and a sweet touch of palm sugar. This unique combination has successfully captured consumers' attention and offers promising market potential. However, like many other businesses, Al-Fathir Avocado Ice Cream faces various challenges. These include intense market competition, price fluctuations and weather impacting raw materials, as well as limitations in technology and daily operational issues. This research was conducted through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of business owners. The goal was to identify the challenges faced and formulate applicable and sustainable solutions. The results of the coaching program indicate that these obstacles can be overcome with appropriate strategies, such as attractive product differentiation, optimizing the use of social media for marketing, improving customer service quality, utilizing simple digital technology, and improving business management and supporting facilities. With an adaptive and innovative approach, Al-Fathir Avocado Ice Cream has a great opportunity to grow into an MSME that not only survives the competition but also develops competitively and sustainably.
