Abstract

Effect of the precision of smoke of diesel motor vehicles by utilizing used oil mixed with diesel fuel. The purpose of this study is to know the mix up to what percentage of used oil that can be used as fuel to the precision of diesel motor fume in accordance with the limits of regulation of the Ministry of Environment No. 05 of 2016. For testing of Smoke thickness using gauge opacity smokemeter, used is used oil 5% mixed with solar 95%, used oil 10% mixed diesel 90%, used oil 15% mixed with diesel 85%, used oil 20% mixed 80% solar, used oil 40% mixed diesel 60%, oil used 60% mixed 40% solar, 80% used oil mixed with 20% diesel, and 100% used oil. at acceleration engine speed Acceleration is done three times on each sample and then compare for each samples tested. From result of research can be concluded that semekin big percentage of mixing of used oil hence influence to smoke thickness in Isuzu Panther diesel motor. The used oil mixture of 5% to 40% of the resulting smoke thickness is still within the threshold of the exhaust emissions in accordance with Regulation of the Ministry of Environment No. 5 of 2006 which is smoke thickness below 70%.

Abstract

Kenagarian alam pauh duo terletak di kecamatan pauh duo kabupaten solok selatan provinsi sumatera barat, dengan jumlah penduduk 8.126 jiwa. Masyarakat yang tidak bekejra sebanyak 354 orang atau 0,5% dari jumlah penduduk di usia kerja. Penyebab pengangguran adalah rendahnya kualitas pendidikan masyarakat dan adanya pemuda putus sekolah, mengakibatkan buruknya keadaan ekonomi masyarakat. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengurangi jumlah pengangguran adalah dengan membuka lapangan pekerjaan baru. Minimnya bengkel sepeda motor dan banyaknya jumlah sepeda motor membuka peluang bagi pemuda putus sekolah untuk memanfaatkan keadaan ini. Oleh karena itu, Tim pengabdian bermaksud memberikan pelatihan perawatan berkala sepeda motor sistem bahan bakar injeksi elektronik. Pada pelatihan ini digunakan metode ceramah, tanya jawab, demonstrasi, pemberian tugas dan bimbingan. Setiap peserta diberikan buku penduan pelatihan. Pelaksanaan pelatihan berjalan dengan lancar dan sukses dengan ditunjukkan meningkatnya kemampuan akhir peserta dalam melakukan perawatan berkala sistem bahan bakar injeksi elektronik sesuai dengan buku panduan yang diberikan. Terakhir, dengan selesainya pelatihan perawatan berkala sistem bahan bakar injeksi elektronik ini diharapkan peserta pelatihan dapat melakukan perawatan berkala sepeda motor sistem bahan bakar injeksi elektronik secara mendiri dan dapat membangun bisnis bengkel sepeda motor secara mandiri.

Abstract

The depletion of global crude oil reserves and pollution have prompted research into alcohol as a fuel for gasoline motors focused on clean, renewable and sustainable energy systems. The purpose of the research is to get the best performance and exhaust emissions. This research uses Pertamax (E0) as standard fuel and mixed with ethanol to produce E70 bioethanol fuel. Tests using a waterbrake dynamometer at fully open throttle with engine speed from 2000 to 8000 rpm and increasing the standard compression ratio to a compression ratio of 12, 12.5, and 13. The results showed that the E70 increased torque and reduced exhaust emissions. Penipisan cadangan minyak mentah global dan polusi telah mendorong penelitian alkohol sebagai bahan bakar untuk motor bensin yang difokuskan pada sistem energi yang bersih, terbarukan dan berkelanjutan. Tujuan dari penelitian untuk mendapatkan Performa dan emisi gas buang terbaik. Penelitian ini menggunakan bahan bakar Pertamax (E0) sebagai bahan bakar standar dan dicampur dengan etanol untuk menghasilkan bahan bakar bioetanol E70. Pengujian menggunakan waterbrake dynamometer pada kondisi fully open throttle dengan putaran mesin dari 2000 sampai 8000 rpm dan meningkatkan rasio kompresi standar menjadi rasio kompresi 12, 12,5, dan 13. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa E70 meningkatkan torsi dan menurunkan emisi gas buang.

Abstract

The student's desire to become a teacher is a factor that influences attitudes and motivation to attend lectures. High levels of interest in becoming a teacher will speed up the lecture process and influence student learning outcomes. The purpose of this correlational study is to determine the relationship between student learning outcomes in education courses and interest in becoming a teacher. The study was conducted on students from the FT UNP Automotive Engineering Education study program's 2018 class. The study was conducted on students from the FT UNP Automotive Engineering Education study program's 2018 class. The Pearson product moment correlation formula was used to analyze the data, and the t test was used to determine the significance of the correlation coefficient r. Based on the analysis of the research data, it was determined that there is a positive and significant relationship between desire to become a teacher and learning outcomes in student education courses.

Abstract

Energy is the initial driving source in the automotive field. Where in the automotive world there is renewable energy such as hydrogen gas. Hydrogen gas is a gas-shaped fuel that has the characteristics of colorless, tasteless, and odorless. Hydrogen gas can be produced by electrolysis of water (H2O). Where the electrolyte solution will be reacted using an electric current to produce hydrogen (H2) gas and oxygen gas (O). This study uses experimental research methods to determine the effect of variations in the number of electrode plates on the electrolizer on the volume and rate of HHO gas production using a measuring cup. The results showed that the effect of the variation in the number of electrode plates on the electrolyzer to the highest HHO gas volume occurred in the variation of 14 electrode plates with an increase of 33%.

Abstract

Of 120 work accidents and work-related body injury reports, 75% occurred in young transporters. These are caused by young oil palm transporters' lack of understanding and ability to drive safely, especially in oil palm plantation sites with uneven road characteristics, and the vehicle specifications need to be safer to drive. This community service aims to provide knowledge and skills to the people of Persipan Ranah Melintang village, especially young oil palm transporters, regarding driving safety so that it can reduce the number of accidents in this area. The method used in the safety riding training activities uses the lecture method, question and answer, discussion, video demonstrations, and sound and proper practice of riding a motorbike following safety riding rules. The results of this activity showed the participants' enthusiasm for participating in the training, especially when practicing riding motorbikes. In addition, there was an increase in participants' awareness and understanding of the importance of safety riding when driving.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang Pembuatan alat manipulator sensor O2. Tujuan penelitian Pembuatan alat ini adalah sebagai penyempurnaan dari alat sebelumnya yang sudah ditemukan namun masih menggunakan sistem kerja manual yaitu menggunakan resistor, sedangkan yang peneliti lakukan sistem akan diganti dengan menggunakan sistem control elektronik mikrokontroller Arduino Uno. Objek penelitian ini adalah kendaraan sepeda motor Yamaha Mio J tahun 2014. Data yang dikumpulkan adalah data daya, torsi, komsumsi bahan bakar, dan emisi gas buang yang didapatkan dari dynotes, gas Analyzer, dan buret sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan alat manipulator sensor O2. Pengujian ini dilakukan di Drako Motor Jl. Durian Pekan Baru Riau, dan di workshop Pengujian Kendaran Teknik Otomotif Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Padang. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan dapat disimpulkan beberapa hal berikut. 1) daya meningkat sebesar 9,2 %, 2) torsi meningkat 44,15%, 3) peningkatan gas HC terbesar 7,39% pada putaran 2500 rpm, 4) peningkatan gas CO terbesar 10,34% pada putaran 2500 rpm, 5) penggunaan alat pembatasan tegangan output sensor O2 sensor signifikan terhadap daya dan torsi dengan nilai rata-rata thitung lebih besar dari pada ttabel .

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang output tegangan yang dihasilkan coil pada saat penggunaan Ignition Booster 9Power. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan tegangan pada saat penggunaan Ignition Booster 9Power. Selain itu penelitian ini berfungsi sebagai solusi atas permasalahan yang peneliti temukan dilapangan mengenai performa kendaraan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif yang dilakukan di Workshop Teknik Otomotif, Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Padang dengan menggunakan sepeda motor Yamaha Mio J tahun 2012. Berdasarkan penelitian pada saat pemasangan Ignition Booster 9Power terjadi peningkatan pada output tegangan coil dengan total rata-rata pengujian sebelum dipasangkan ignition booster 9power sebesar 8,67KV dan setelah dipasangkan Ignition Booster 9Power sebesar 9,67KV. Dan didapatkan persentase pada rpm 1500 dengan persentase peningkatan sebesar 9,3%, pada rpm 3000 dengan persentase peningkatan sebesar 10,7% dan pada saat rpm 5000 dengan persentase peningkatan sebesar 10,5%. Peningkatan tegangan tertinggi yang terjadi sebesar 10,7% pada rpm 3000 dan peningkatan tegangan terendah terjadi sebesar 9,3% pada rpm 1500. Dan dilihat dari kestabilan tegangan, terjadi kestabilan tegangan, ini dapat dilihat dari jarak tegangan minimal dan maksimal terjadi jarak tegangan yang kecil pada masing-masing pengujian. Jarak tegangan minimal dengan maksimal yang tinggi yaitu 7 KV pada rpm 1500, sedangkan jarak tegangan minimal dan maksimal yang rendah yaitu 2 KV pada rpm 5000. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pada penggunaan Ignition Booster 9Power dikabel tegangan tinggi busi dapat meningkat kan output tegangan coil dan dapat menstabilkan output tegangan coil.

Abstract

The transition period between the pandemic and after it requires strategies so that learning transitions continue to create comfort for students in learning. The purpose of this activity is to help teachers become more experts at creating online modules. This activity involved 30 participants from members of the West Sumatra Automotive Engineering Subject Teacher Consultation. Participants' online module work will be analyzed to determine the teacher's ability to design online modules and the effectiveness of the learning process. Participants can effectively create learning modules as a result. However, instructors must spend more time teaching online students on how to complete assignments.

Abstract

Emisi gas buang pada sepeda motor menjadi isu yang masih terus untuk dicarikan solusinya. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui optimasi hasil uji emisi gas buang pada sepeda motor konvensional Yamaha Vega ZR dengan penambahan carbon cleaner pada bahan bakar pertalite RON 90. Metode penelitian eksperimen dilakukan secara langsung pada objek penelitian. Didapatkan peluruhan kerak karbon terbesar terjadi pada campuran 15 ml carbon cleaner merk STP pada putaran 2800 rpm yang ditandai dengan peningkatan kandungan emisi gas buang HC sebesar 146,7 ppm. Sedangkan untuk carbon cleaner merk Yamalube peluruhan deposit carbon terbesar terjadi pada campuran 25 ml pada putaran 2800 rpm dengan peningkatan sebesar 89,3 ppm. Exhaust emissions on motorbikes are an issue that is still being searched for a solution. This research was conducted to determine the optimization of exhaust emission test results on conventional Yamaha Vega ZR motorbikes with the addition of carbon cleaner to pertalite RON 90 fuel. The experimental research method was carried out directly on the research object. It was found that the greatest carbon scale decay occurred in a mixture of 15 ml of STP brand carbon cleaner at 2800 rpm which was marked by an increase in the content of HC exhaust emissions of 146.7 ppm. Whereas for the Yamalube brand carbon cleaner, the biggest decay of carbon deposits occurred in the 25 ml mixture at 2800 rpm with an increase of 89.3 ppm.Â
