Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the increasing number of cases of intolerance towards certain ethnicities, especially in the campus environment. The case of intolerance that is still warm in memory is the case of the student siege of Papuan students in Surabaya. The formulation of the problem in this study is whether there is a difference in the perception of the tolerance level of students at the University of Riau between the perspectives of students from Papua and the perspectives of non-Papuan students (Non-Riau Sumatra) at the University of Riau. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there were differences in the perception of the tolerance level of students at the University of Riau between the perspectives of students from Papua and the perspectives of non-Papuan students (Sumateranon-Riau) at the University of Riau. This research is quantitative through statistical analysis method with Independent Sample T-Test with the help of SPSS. This study uses data collection techniques through observation, questionnaires and Library Research. To take the sample, this study used purposive sampling technique with a sample of 26 people, namely 13 students from Papua and 13 students from non-Papuans (non-Riau Sumatra). Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that the perception of the tolerance level of students at the University of Riau according to the perspective of students from Papua at the University of Riau is 69.87% "High". Meanwhile, the perception of the tolerance level of students at the University of Riau according to the perspective of non-Papuan foreign students (Non-Papuan Sumatra) at the University of Riau is 76.72% "Very High". Based on the results of the processed research data, the results obtained Sig. (2-tailed)> 0.05, namely 0.382 and 0.383. This means that there is no significant difference between the perception of the tolerance level of students at the University of Riau between the perspectives of students from Papua and the perspectives of non-Papuan students (Non-Riau Sumatra) at the University of Riau. Thus, the formulation of the hypothesis (Ha) is rejected while the formulation of the hypothesis (H0) is accepted.Key Words: Comparative Studies, Perceptions, Tolerance Levels, Papuan Students, Non- Papuan Foreign Students

Abstract

Absstract:: Thiis exploration is roused by worries about the course and spread of Coronavirus in packed places and how Satpol PP completes its obligations. Abstract

Abstrak: Video pembelajaran menjadi sesuatu yang tidak bisa dielakkan dalam proses pembelajaran selama pandemic sebab media ini menunjang keefektifan dan efisiensi waktu dalam penjabaran materi kepada peserta didik. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan keterampilan untuk merancang dan membuat video pembelajaran. Metode dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah pelatihan dan pendampingan, artinya setelah dijelaskan secara detail dan panjang lebar mengenai proses membuat video, para peserta akan diminta untuk membuat video pembelajaran sendiri dan selama proses itu akan didampingi oleh tim pengabdi. Tulisan ini menjabarkan mengenai (1) pentingnya media pembelajaran video dalam proses pembelajaran di masa pandemic maupun endemic; (2) Kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan pembuatan video terhadap guru-guru ppkn SMA/SMK di Kota Dumai. Telah dihasilkan beberapa video pembelajaran yang dibuat oleh guru PPKn, setelah sebelumnya tim pengabdi menyediakan bahan mentah berupa slide materi, rekaman suara, dan tampilan animasi yang siap dimasukkan ke dalam video selama kegiatan berlangsung, yang nantinya dapat digunakan dalam menunjang proses pembelajaran. Dengan berbekal keterampilan membuat video yang sudah diajarkan, mereka diharapkan nantinya dapat merancang sendiri video pada materi pembelajaran lainnya sehingga proses pembelajaran PPKn menjadi lebih menarik dan tidak membosankan.Abstract: Learning videos are something that cannot be avoided in the learning process during a pandemic because this media supports the effectiveness and efficiency of time in explaining the material to students. Therefore, it takes skills to design and create learning videos. The method in this service activity is training and mentoring, meaning that after being explained in detail and at length about the process of making videos, the participants will be asked to make their own learning videos and during the process they will be accompanied by a service team. This paper describes (1) the importance of video learning media in the learning process during pandemic and endemic periods; (2) Training and mentoring activities for making videos for PPKn SMA/SMK teachers in Dumai City. Several learning videos have been produced by PPKn teachers, after previously the service team provided raw materials in the form of material slides, sound recordings, and animated displays that were ready to be included in the video during the activity, which could later be used to support the learning process. Armed with the skills to make videos that have been taught, they are expected to later be able to design their own videos on other learning materials so that the Civics learning process becomes more interesting and not boring.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pemilihan umum (pemilu) serentak 2024 semakin dekat, salah satu strategi KPU sebagai penyelenggara pemilu untuk mendongkrak angka partisipasi masyarakat adalah melalui program kader desa peduli pemilu dan pemilihan. Program ini berintikan pada pemberdayaan masyarakat desa/kelurahan untuk menjadi fasilitator Pendidikan pemilih bagi sesama. Tulisan ini merupakan hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat (PKM) yang dilakukan oleh dosen PPKn Universitas Riau di Kota Dumai. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah Sosialisasi dan Diskusi kepada masyarakat yang telah dilantik dan diberikan Amanah sebagai kader desa peduli pemilu dan pemilihan. Sosialisasi dimulai dengan penjabaran aturan hukum mengenai program, tujuan dan apa peran penting yang dapat dimainkan oleh kader sebagai fasilitator Pendidikan pemilih sedangkan Diskusi dimulai dengan kegiatan brainstorming, ceramah dan tanya jawab. Berdasarkan survey yang dilakukan pada akhir kegiatan didapati hasil sebagai berikut (1) kader menjadi lebih memahami peran dan fungsinya sebagai fasilitator Pendidikan pemilih; (2) kader menjadi lebih termotivasi dalam melaksanakan tugasnya.Abstract: The 2024 simultaneous general elections (elections) are getting closer, one of the KPU's strategies as election organizers to boost the community participation rate is through the village cadre program that cares about elections and elections. This program is based on empowering rural/kelurahan communities to become facilitators of voter education for others. This program is similar to the volunteer democracy program that was launched ahead of the 2014 and 2019 elections, but the difference lies in the burden of work and funding. This paper is the result of community service activities (PKM) carried out by a PPKn lecturer at Riau University in Dumai City. The method used in this service activity is socialization and discussion to the community who have been appointed and given the mandate as village cadres who care about elections and elections. The socialization begins with the elaboration of the legal rules regarding the program, its objectives and what important role can be played by cadres as facilitators of voter education, while the discussion begins with brainstorming, lectures and question and answer activities. Based on the survey conducted at the end of the activity, the following results were found: (1) cadres have a better understanding of their roles and functions as facilitators of voter education; (2) cadres become more motivated in carrying out their duties.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan merupakan salah satu upaya agar mahasiswa paham terhadap kewajiban dan juga haknya sebagai warga negara, menumbuhkan sikap dan karakter kepribadian, yang akan berpengaruh terhadap literasi politik mahasiswa dengan wujud pemahaman dan kesadaran dalam aktivitas politik, pengetahuan terhadap isu-isu politik dan kebijakan pemerintah, serta partisipasinya pada kegiatan-kegiatan politik. Peran mahasiswa sangat penting dalam proses politik bukan sekedar sebagai generasi penerus namun juga sebagai sosial kontrol bagi pelaksanaan pemerintahan. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui bagaimanakah pengaruh Pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dalam membentuk literasi politik mahasiswa (Studi Kasus Mahasiswa PPKn FKIP Universitas Riau Angkatan 2018-2019). Metode pengumpulan data adalah angket, observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pembelajaran Pendiddikan Kewarganegaraan dalam membentuk literasi politik mahasiswa yaitu sebesar 53,8%, selebihnya 46,2% terpengaruh oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of inculcating a democratic attitude for students. The young generation who are faced with the era of globalization, where technology is developing rapidly creates a sense of individualism and self-centeredness. A democratic attitude contains positive attitudes in life so it is important to apply it because it forms identity, controls selfishness, individuality, and mutual respect between students. The implementation of these attitudes is expected to have an effect on the learning achievement obtained by the students of SMA Negeri 2 Bengkalis. This type of research is quantitative research using statistical analysis techniques. The data collection instrument used is a questionnaire. The population in the study consisted of 651 students and the sample taken was 10% of the total population, namely 66 students. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that the democratic attitude towards student achievement in SMA Negeri 2 Bengkalis is at a moderate level. The results of the processing of the research data obtained that Fcount is 15,747 and Ftable is 3,99, where Fcount > Ftable so that it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The magnitude of the influence of democratic attitudes on student achievement in SMA Negeri 2 Bengkalis is categorized as moderate according to the results of data processing where the value of the relationship (R) is 0.444. The result of the processed data is the coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.197 which implies that the influence of the independent variable, namely democratic attitudes towards the dependent variable, is 19.7% of learning achievement, while the other 80.3% are factors not examined in this study. Abstract

This study aimed at describing the model of voter education of women-based democracy volunteers in Pekanbaru City and Dumai City. Democracy volunteers are partners in the General Election Commission, who deliver electoral information to the public. The voter education model consists of the strategies used, the material delivered, the methods used to provide knowledge, raise awareness, and increase women voters' political participation. This research employed a qualitative approach with descriptive methods"”the informants in this research selected through a non-probability sampling method with a purposive sampling technique. The data validity testing technique used triangulation of data sources. The research findings show that (1) the strategy used was the mapping of target communities and personal communication with community administrators; (2) the material presented included voter requirements, the number of candidates in the 2019 simultaneous elections in Pekanbaru City and Dumai City, introduction of ballot papers, and procedures for voting; (3) the method used was lectures using props in the form of ballots. The female voter is strategic, seeing from the quantity and regulation in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar PPKn siswa MTs Ittihadul Muslimin. dalam penelitian ini adalah: “Apakah model pembelajaran Curah Pendapat dapat mempengaruhi hasil belajar PPKn siswa kelas IX MTs Ittihadul Muslimin?”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Curah Pendapat terhadap Hasil Belajar PPKn siswa MTs Ittihadul Muslimin”. Penelitian ini dilakukan di MTs Ittihadul Muslimin pada bulan Agustus 2021. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif yang bersifat eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX MTs Ittihadul Muslimin. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil berdasarkan teknik “Random Sampling”. Dimana kelas yang diambil menjadi sampel adalah siswa kelas IX.2 (kelas eksperimen) yang diberi model pembelajaran curah pendapat dan kelas IX.3 (kelas kontrol) adalah siswa yang diberi metode konvensional. Kemudian data analisis dengan menggunakan uji homogenitas dan uji-t. Materi pelajaran yang diterapkan dengan model pembelajaran Curah Pendapat adalah materi PPKn kelas IX “Nilai-nilai pancasila sebagai dasar negara dan pandangan hidup bangsa”. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh hasil belajar antara siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran curah pendapat dan metode konvensional di MTs Ittihadul Muslimin hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil ( > ). Dimana terdapat kenaikan rata-rata hasil belajar PPKn kelas eksperimen dari 65,37 menjadi 79,25 sedangkan rata-rata hasil belajar PPKn kelas kontrol dari 40,92 menjadi 54,07. Dengan demikian hipotesis yang berbunyi terdapat pengaruh hasil belajar PPKn yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Curah Pendapat dengan Konvensional di MTs Ittihadul Muslimin “DITERIMA”.

Abstract

Traditional wooden shipbuilding can be seen from different perspectives, namely from industry and tradition and culture. As a tradition and culture, traditional wooden shipbuilding is a means of developing character and local wisdom which is closely related to the life of the people involved. Thus, this study aims to analyze the values of local wisdom in the creation of traditional wooden boats in the coastal areas of Riau and the Riau Archipelago. Research is the result of analysis of qualitative methods with data collection techniques through observation and interviews. The results of the study from the socio-anthropological review show that the culture and tradition of creating traditional wooden boats for coastal Malay communities is influenced by foreign cultures, forming a national identity, the knowledge possessed by craftsmen (workers) in shipbuilding is manual even though the size of the ships made is relatively large enough to 1,500 GT. In addition, the existence of these traditional wooden boats is considered sturdy so that they are in demand and widely used by world fishermen, especially in the archipelago. However, currently the existence of traditional wooden boats is becoming scarce due to the difficulty of raw materials. The character values of local wisdom contained in the creation of traditional wooden ships are hard workers (my ancestors were sailors). Among the national character values are: work hard (work hard), act correctly, be trustworthy, maintain unity, not destroy nature (love the environment), and so on.

Abstract

Pengaturan penataan tempat duduk dalam hasil penelitian diduga dapat memberikan suatu dorongan kepada siswa dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar dalam proses pembelajaran. Salah satu bentuk dari meningkatnya prestasi belajar siswa yaitu dengan pengelolaan kelas. Pengelolaan kelas mempunyai peranan penting dalam konsentrasi belajar siswa salah satunya adalah pengelolaan pengaturan tempat duduk.  sering terjadi permasalahan di kelas pada saat pembelajaran yaitu perilaku siswa yang duduk di bangku belakang lebih sering bermain, mengobrol, sebagian makan yang mengakibatkan proses menulis sangat lambat dan prestasi siswa setelah proses pembelajaran menurun. Dan secara tidak langsung tingkah laku siswa tersebut dapat merusak kondisi optimal bagi proses belajar mengajar yang berlangsung, untuk dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut guru harus optimal dalam mengelola kelas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk dapat memberikan penjelasan terkait ada atau tidaknya pengaruh yang ditimbulkan pada pengaturan penataan tempat duduk terhadap prestasi belajar siswa ketika pelaksanaan pembelajaran berlangsung. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa SMA Negeri 1 Dumai yang berjumlah 268 orang siswa. Kemudian dilakukan teknik simple random sampling yang memiliki sampel 73 orang siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara pengaturan penataan tempat duduk terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 1 Dumai sebesar 5.6%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara pengaturan penataan tempat duduk terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 1 Dumai sebesar 5.6%. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan menggunakan SPSS 16 dari hasil uji F diperoleh F hitung sebesar 4.250 dan F tabel sebesar 3.976 dimana hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa F hitung ≥ F tabel, sehingga dengan demikian Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima yang berarti variabel X berpengaruh terhadap variabel Y.
