Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the relationship between teacher professionalism, headmaster leadership, and teachers? performance through the intervening variable which is the teachers? achieving motivation. This research was done with the quantitative method with 228 teachers as the samples who were from the 13 different Senior High Schools in Banjarmasin based on random sampling. Data is taken with the checked questionnaire for its validity and reliability based on the pilot project. Data were analyzed by path analysis with calculations through IBM SPSS 20. The results showed that there was a relationship between teacher professionalism, principals 'leadership, and teacher performance and achievement motivation was intervening between the relationship between teacher professionalism and teacher performance and principals' leadership and performance.

Abstract

Education graduates are more unemployed than those who work or are not in accordance with what the world wants. This doesn't only occur to bachelor, but also to senior high school graduates, so the government responds to this by prioritizing an education system whose link-and-match outcome as workers. Bridging this, vocational school is one solution. Vocational High School (SMK) is an embodiment of the school system with a vocational form, with various departments that certainly respond to the diversity of the world of work available. Types of Vocational Schools in Indonesia are attached in Appendix I. In this study, researchers only focusing on Vocational School majoring in Pharmacy. As a vocational school, The Pharmacy Department required to produce eligible graduates according to the work field and industry standard. The standard should be applied to qualified of work field and industry demands, Education Management is needed, which includes Planning, Implementation, Evaluation, and Supervision in the education process in schools in such a way that the competencies, expertise, and skills of graduates are in accordance with the demands of the world of work and industry. schools rely on the rules of School-Based Management (SBM). As time goes by, As time goes by, parents of vocational students want their children's ability to continue into the next levels with good character, religious, and academics. The various demands try to be fulfilled by schools by implementing various activities using 8 national education standards as a reference, which are applied through the school-based education management concept. This study focuses on how each Planning, Implementation, Evaluation, and Supervision of Education Management at ISFI Pharmacy Vocational School and Husada Vocational High School Pharmacy Study Program, which processes through the application of 8 National Standards of Education in influencing graduate orientation

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze: (1) the effect of the principal?s academic supervision on the teacher? teaching quality in all MAN  at Banjarmasin; (2) the influence of school culture on the teacher? teaching quality in all MAN at Banjarmasin; and (3) there is the effect of principals? academic supervision and schoo culture simultaneously on the teacher? teaching quality in all MAN at Banjarmasin. This study uses descriptive quantitative methods. The study population was MAN Teachers in Banjarmasin as many as 109 teachers, as well as being used as research samples (total samples). Data was collected using a questionnaire; validity was tested using item-total correlation techniques and reliability tested using the apha formula from Cronbach. Hypothesis testing uses simple and multiple regression. The  results of the analysis conclude that: (1) there is an effect of the principal's academic supervision on the teachers? teaching quality in all MAN at Banjarmasin. This data is supported by the results of statistical analysis that prove the value of t count> t table (7.826> 1.982), (2) there is an influence of school?s culture on the teachers? teaching quality in all MAN at Banjarmasin. This data is supported by the results of statistical analysis that prove the value of t count> t table (6.428> 1.982), and (3) there is a simultaneous effect of principals' academic supervision and school?s culture on the teachers? teaching quality in all MAN at Banjarmasin. This data is supported by the results of statistical analysis that prove the value of f count > f table (10.416> 3.082). Based on those results, the headmaster is recommended to continue academic supervision to the teachers they lead and maintain the school culture in order to make the school atmospher is conducive so that the quality of teaching teachers are increased.

Abstract

The problems that occur at this time are many children who are still dependent on their parents to do every activity. Independent attitude is very dependent on parents, often children cry when they stay for a while by their mother or caregiver. This study describes the influence of parenting on the birth order of children towards independent social behavior using a quantitative and path analysis. The research sample was obtained from 214 children aged 5-6 years using the simple random sampling technique and the Slovin formula from a population of 445 Kindergarten children in Gugus Anggrek, East Banjarmasin District. Also, data were collected through questionnaires, documentation, and observation. The results showed that parenting patterns affect the birth order of children towards their independent social behavior.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between chemistry Teacher Deliberation (MGMP) activities and academic supervision with performance assessment (PKG). It uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods and correlation techniques. Data were obtained from a sample of 54 chemistry teachers from all Senior High School in Banjarmasin using a questionnaire that tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed to determine the relationship between variables using Pearson product-moment and multiple correlations. The results showed there was a positive relationship between MGMP chemistry activities and performance assessment. There was also a positive relationship between academic supervision and performance assessment, as well as between MGMP activities and academic supervision with performance assessment. There is a need for learning to shift from the teacher to the student center as an implication of adopting the 2013 curriculum.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the leadership style of the Principal of Banjarmasin 5 Vocational High School in empowering educators. This is descriptive research. The data collection techniques were triangulation and included interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this research showed applied leadership style is participative, as evidenced by the involvement of all school members in key aspects such as the school program, joint decision, personal selection and delegation of authority, information disclosure, and communication. The results of this research might be used as a basis for applying leadership styles in other schools.
