Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji keistimewaan dan fenomena angka 9 di dalam Al-Qur’an. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi literatur. Data diperoleh dengan melakukan kajian pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat keistimewaan dan fenomena angka 9 di dalam Al-Qur’an. Di antara fenomena tersebut adalah pada ayat yang terkait dengan Asma’ul Husna, ketepatan bulan Ramadhan sebagai bulan ke-9 dalam Islam, serta reflexivity sholat. Kehadiran angka 9 tersebut membawa pesan, di antaranya adalah tentang ketauhidan dan banyak sekali konsep maupun perhitungan matematis dalam Al-Qur’an, hanya saja masih banyak yang belum mengkaji hal tersebut secara detil dan menyeluruh. Dengan mempelajari ilmu pengetahuan melalui integrasi matematika Al-Quran, berarti manusia telah mempelajari agama.

Abstract

Mathematics learning integrated with Islamic values needs to be carried out to provide opportunities for students to study various sciences in one scope. Many Islamic schools (madrasah) still need to be taught by integrating mathematics and Islam. This study aims to introduce Islamic integrated mathematical modelling through Model Eliciting Activities based learning. The research method used was qualitative, with a literature review. This research used the Model Eliciting Activities, which guides learning integrated Islamic mathematics. Thus, educaters can apply the learning steps in class and can develop this research more broadly.

Abstract

Integrative mathematics learning is needed in the study of science and religion, especially in the madrassa and the Islamic University, to improve morality for all students in Indonesia. This study aims to examine the hadith regarding integers and integer operations in integrative mathematics learning. Mathematical learning is expected to increase students' religious knowledge and mathematical knowledge. The method used in this research is literature study. In the hadith, some integers are 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 and integer operations, namely addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The hadiths related to numbers and number operations are HR. Bukhari 40; 71; 15; 33; 1334; 1761; 1109, HR. Muslim 19; 1984; 1513; 1991, HR. Darmini 3174, HR. Ibnu Khuzaimah 301, and HR. Tirmidhi 565.

Abstract

Science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) have been applied in various countries because they have been able to answer the challenges of the globalization era. The implementation of STEAM at school has demanded that teachers have a role in making a relationship between disciplines in science contained in STEAM. The purpose of this research was to describe the perceptions of experienced teachers about math-focused STEAM learning. The research was a descriptive study on 14 vocational high school mathematics teachers in Malang, Indonesia. They had 20-30 years of teaching experience. Data were collected using essay questionnaires. The result showed that their perceptions of STEAM learning were positive. However, they also said that there were several obstacles to math-focused STEAM learning. The first obstacle was the unavailability of supporting literature. The second obstacle was that there were teachers who have no received training. The third obstacle was only a limited number of mathematics material that can be applied in STEAM learning. Additionally, the teacher stated that mathematics was more suitable as supporting contain in STEAM learning than as the primary focus.

Abstract

Mathematics learning in elementary schools frequently encountered obstacles in material delivery. It was due to the abstract concepts of mathematics and the character of students who entered the concrete operational phase. Ethnomathematics learning could become an effort to overcome those obstacles. The purpose of this study was to determined the effectiveness of learning ethnomathematics "engklek-game" on the understanding of geometry concept for third-grade students of SDN 4 Sepanjang Glenmore. This study used a mixed-method approach with the type of experimental research one-group pretest-posttest design. Data collection techniques were through written tests and interviews. The quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and used paired sample t-test. The qualitative data was analyzed by reducing the data, presenting the data, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that learning ethnomathematics "engklek-game" obtained Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000, so that it had a significant effect on the understanding of the geometry concept of students in grade III SDN 4 Sepanjang Glenmore. Based on the results of the interview, it found that the student response was good. Teachers stated that students were enthusiastic during the learning, which led to an increase in learning outcomes before and after learning ethnomathematics "engklek-game."

Abstract

Salah satu jenis penalaran yang memegang peranan penting dalam pembelajaran matematika adalah penalaran analogi. Salah satu manfaat yang diperoleh siswa ketika menggunakan penalaran analogi dalam pembelajaran matematika adalah meningkatnya kreativitas dalam menyelesaikan dan memecahkan masalah. Analogi dilakukan dengan mencari kemiripan penyelesaian dari dua masalah matematika. Oleh karena itu, penelitian yang berkaitan tentang profil penalaran analogi siswa sangat diperlukan untuk memperoleh deskripsi pada setiap tahap penalaran analogi yang dilakukan oleh siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan profil penalaran analogi siswa dalam memecahkan masalah trigonometri dengan adversity quotient sebagai peninjaunya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan enam siswa sebagai subjek. Enam siswa tersebut merupakan siswa kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Purwosari yang memiliki 3 AQ berbeda dengan masing-masing 2 siswa pada setiap tipe. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan tiga instrumen, yakni lembar angket ARP, lembar tes penalaran analogi, dan pedoman wawancara. Proses analisis data ini terdiri atas reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan profil penalaran analogi siswa pada setiap tipe AQ. Siswa climber dapat melakukan semua tahapan penalaran analogi yang disusun oleh Sternberg. Siswa camper dapat melakukan tahap encoding dan memenuhi satu indikator pada tahap inferring. Siswa quitter hanya dapat melakukan tahap encoding. Kata kunci: penalaran analogi, pemecahan masalah, adversity quotient Abstract: One type of reasoning that plays an important role in learning mathematics is analogical reasoning. One of the benefits that students gain when using analogical reasoning in learning mathematics is increased creativity in resolving and solving problems. Analogy is achieved by identifying similarities in the solutions of two mathematical problems. Therefore, research related to students' analogical reasoning profiles is very necessary to obtain descriptions of each stage of analogical reasoning carried out by students. The aim of this research is to describe students' analogical reasoning profiles in solving trigonometry problems with the adversity quotient as the observer. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach with six students as subjects. The six students are class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 1 Purwosari, each with three different AQs, with two students in each category. Data were collected using three instruments: the ARP questionnaire sheet, analogical reasoning test sheet, and interview guide. The data analysis process consists of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research indicate that there are differences in the analogical reasoning profiles of students in each type of AQ. Climber students can carry out all the stages of analogical reasoning as compiled by Sternberg. Camper students can carry out the encoding stage and fulfill one indicator at the inferring stage. Quitter students can only carry out the encoding stage. Keywords: analogical reasoning, problem solving, adversity quotient
