Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of personalization and trust on retail product purchasing decisions, with Gen Z consumer engagement in Palopo City as a mediator variable. The research approach used was quantitative, with data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS) using SmartPLS software. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to Generation Z respondents in Palopo City. The results showed that personalization and trust do not directly influence purchasing decisions. However, both have a positive and significant influence when mediated by consumer engagement. This finding confirms that the higher the level of consumer engagement in the interaction process with a product or service, the stronger the influence of personalization and trust in driving purchasing decisions. Thus, consumer engagement plays a key role in linking personalization and trust strategies to purchasing decisions for retail products in Palopo City. Therefore, it can be concluded that neither personalization nor trust has a direct influence on purchasing decisions, but has an indirect influence through consumer engagement with retail products in Palopo City.

Abstract

The data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS. The results indicate that financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on students’ financial behavior, and financial technology also has a positive and significant effect. Other factors outside the research model may influence the remaining variance. Abstract

This study aims to address the research question of how perceived security, perceived ease of use, and service facilities influence customer loyalty toward Islamic mobile banking services, both directly and indirectly through trust and satisfaction. Specifically, this study tests the hypotheses that perceived security and perceived ease of use positively affect customer loyalty among BSI Mobile users. That trust and satisfaction mediate these relationships, while the effect of service facilities is expected to be more prominent through customer satisfaction. An explanatory quantitative approach was employed, collecting data from 240 active users of BSI Mobile, which were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) in AMOS. The results indicate that perceived security and perceived ease of use have positive and significant effects on both trust and satisfaction. In contrast, service facilities do not have a significant effect on trust but do have a positive, significant effect on customer satisfaction. Furthermore, trust and satisfaction are proven to have significant positive effects on customer loyalty, with satisfaction emerging as the most dominant mediating variable in the structural model. These findings provide more profound insight: customer loyalty in Islamic mobile banking is shaped more by satisfaction with secure, user-friendly digital experiences than by the mere availability of service features. Theoretically, this study extends the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) by integrating the dual mediating roles of trust and satisfaction in the context of Islamic banking. Practically, the findings emphasize the importance of Islamic banks' digital transformation strategies that prioritize system security and user experience optimization to foster sustainable customer loyalty and strengthen public trust in a Sharia-compliant digital financial ecosystem.

Abstract

Digital transformation in education requires Islamic educational institutions to develop human resource management (HRM) systems that integrate Islamic values, spiritual leadership, and digital competency. Teachers as strategic educational assets require not only professional competence but also technological adaptability and internalization of Islamic organizational values. This study aims to develop an Islamic Human Resource Management (IHRM) model to enhance teacher performance through spiritual leadership, digital competency, and Islamic organizational culture. A quantitative approach with an explanatory research design was employed. The respondents consisted of 119 teachers from Islamic schools, Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs), and Madrasah Aliyah (MA) in Palopo City, Indonesia. Data were collected using a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4. The results indicate that spiritual leadership and digital competency have positive and significant effects on IHRM and teacher performance. Teacher performance also significantly mediates the effects of spiritual leadership and digital competency on IHRM. However, Islamic organizational culture does not demonstrate a significant direct effect on IHRM and teacher performance. This study develops an IHRM conceptual model that integrates spiritual, digital, and Islamic value dimensions as strategic approaches to improving teacher performance in Islamic educational institutions.
