Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam bentuk pelatihan dan praktik teknik penanaman tabulampot ini bertujuan untuk menumbuh kembangkan budidaya tanaman tahunan perkotaan pada tabulampot sesuai prosedur sampai dapat berproduksi dan memperoleh hasil yang maksimal. Kegiatan PKM ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 1 September 2019 di BTN Kupula Indah Kota Juang Kabupaten Bireuen Provinsi Aceh. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan PKM yaitu demontrasi dan praktik penanaman tabulampot serta penyuluhan kepada masyarakat tentang teknik budidaya tanaman tabulampot. Adapun alat yang digunakan adalah ember besar (drum), sekop kecil, cangkul dan alat tulis. Bahan yang digunakan berupa tanah, pupuk kandang, sekam dan bibit tanaman tahunan yang sesuai untuk tabulampot pada pertanian perkotaan. Dari hasil kegiatan PKM yang telah dilaksanakan di BTN Kupula Indah Kota Juang Kabupaten Bireuen Provinsi Aceh, disimpulkan bahwa penyuluhan, demontrasi dan praktik teknik budidaya tabulampot dapat meningkatkan keterampilan masyarakat mengenai teknik penanaman tanaman tahunan tabulampot. Praktik ini membantu masyarakat perkotaan menambah pengetahuan dalam memanfaatkan lahan pekarangan dengan teknik penanaman tabulampot dan wirausaha tabulampot.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam bentuk pelatihan pembuatan pupuk bokashi di Desa Blang Me Timu Kecamatan Jeunieb Kabupaten Bireuen bertujuan untuk membantu petani dan kelompok tani supaya mengetahui tentang cara pembuatan pupuk bokashi. Kegiatan pelatihan ini berlangsung selama 16 hari, yang dimulai sejak tanggal 1 Februari s.d 16 Februari 2019. Adapun alat yang dibutuhkan dalam proses pembuatan pupuk bokhasi adalah: pisau, timbangan, gelas ukur, pengukur suhu dan pH tanah, terpal, talenan, kantong plastik (kresek), karung, tali dan gelas aqua. Sedangkan bahan yang digunakan, yaitu: jerami, kulit buah- buahan, sampah organik, kotoran ternak sapi, EM-4, sekam bakar, gula pasir dan a Metode pengomposan pupuk bokhasi yaitu menggunakan starter aerobik dan anaerobik. Adapun parameter pengamatan dari praktikum ini adalah kecepatan fermentasi dari penggunaan EM-4 sebagai dekomposer terhadap bahan-bahan yang digunakan. Hasil pengomposan pupuk bokashi dibuat dengan proses pengomposan menggunakan EM-4. Penggunaan EM-4 menghasilkan pupuk organik dalam waktu yang lebih cepat dibandingkan dengan cara konvensional.

Almuslim Bireuen 24263, Aceh Indonesia*Corresponding author: rinnie_fitrie@yahoo.co.id Abstract Land conversion is one cause of damage to watersheds (DAS), leading to a complex problem physically, economically and socially in the upper and lower watershed. Upper Ciliwung watershed is classified as watershed of which its carrying capacity is restored as it has indicator qualification of high until very high and it is important to be handled. This study was aimed to analyze the cability of upper Ciliwung watershed area for the development of sustainable agroforestry. The units of land use (SPL) used for intensive observation were as many as 60 units of land use spread over seven (7) sub-watershed, namely sub-watershed of Cibalok, Cisuren, Ciliwung, Ciesek, Cisukabirus, Cisarua and Ciseseupan. The unit of land use of which its land capability class was analyzed included the use of shrub land, open land and dry land agriculture. The unit of land use will be used as a recommendation for the use of agroforestry in upper Ciliwung watershed. The results showed that the land capability class in the upper Ciliwung watershed consisted of land capability class II, covering an area of 329.7 ha (23.92%), capability class III of 464.8 ha (33.72%) and capability class IV of 584 ha (42.36%). Land use of upper Ciliwung watershed was dominated by class III with dominant obstacle factor namely bumpy slope. Analysis of land capability on shrubland, open land, and dry land agriculture which spread over the unit of land use in the area of upper Ciliwung watershed was generally recommended for land use of agroforestry-agrisilvopasture and agroforestry-agrisilviculture.Keywords: Land capability, land use, agroforestry, upper Ciliwung Watershed

Abstract

Soil and other materials with high C-organic content are potential natural sources of humic substances. Until now the differences in the characteristics of such humic substances that are extracted from different sources have not been widely studied. Thus, this study was aimed to characterize humic substances extracted from andisols, spodosols, peat, and lignite. The highest C-organic (48.8%) and N (7.6%) were obtained from peat and spodosols, respectively. The andisols humic substance produced the highest total acidity (6.52 cmol kg-1). Humic substance extracted from spodosols was a mostly aliphatic group and phenolate –OH, while that of andisols and lignite contained more aromatic group and phenolate –OH, whereas the humic substance from peat was a predominantly aliphatic group and –COOH. The surface morphology of the humic substances observed using SEM showed varying densities and shapes due to differences in their respective degree of decomposition and the formation process involved. There has been significant interest in investigating the different characteristics of the humic substance. The type humic substances are important to be known considering of their positive effects on soil fertility and plant growth and development.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of Growth Regulatory Substances (GRS) on the growth of tomato seeds of farmers' harvests. The research method used a completely randomized design non-factorial with three replications. The factors studied were Organic Growth Regulators consisting of bean sprout extract, onion extract and young coconut water with a concentration of 50% each. The variables observed were growth potential, germination rate, growth speed, growth synchronously, and seed vigor. The results showed that young coconut water with a concentration of 50% gave the best results at the rate of growth potential with a percentage of 95.83% and seed vigor with a percentage of 91.66%, while the best germination was found in onion extract with a percentage of 83.33%, while the best growth uniformity was found of bean sprout extract with a percentage of 75.00%. However, it can be concluded that organic PGR did not significantly affect the growth rate of tomato seeds.

Abstract

Decomposer insect diversity are decomposer insect in Oil Plants in different growth phases at PT. Mopoli Raya Rantau Aceh Tamiang. This study aims to determine the high number of decomposer insect diversity in immature oil palm plantations and mature plantations at PT. Mopoli Raya. The research was carried out by the Oil Palm Plantation of PT. Mopoli Raya, Laboratory of Plant Pests and Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture Almuslim University Matangglumpangdua and Entomology Laboratory of Agriculture Gadjah Mada University Yogyakarta. The research took place from January to June 2022. The experiment used a survey method, focused on the diversity of decomposer insects. Insect sampling was carried out using a purposive sampling method, by selecting two stretches of oil palm plantations managed by the company. The observed variables were family composition and abundance of individual decomposers, composition and structure of decomposer species. The results showed that the species richness of immature oil palm was lower than that of mature plantations. This was suspected to be more intensive in immature oil palm, which resulted in a negative impact on the presence of decomposers compared to mature oil palm. The diversity of natural enemies of decomposers in producing oil palm plantations was higher, namely 67 individuals compared to immature oil palm plantations, namely 34 individuals. The benefit of research for the development of science is as a basis for pest control in company-owned and community plantations by using natural enemies found at PT. Mopoli Raya.

Abstract

Serangga predator merupakan salah satu agen pengendali hayati yang dapat menekan laju populasi hama di Lahan Kakao. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keragaman serangga predator pada lahan Kakao yang menghasilkan dan lahan kakao yang belum menghasilkan. Penentuan lokasi serangga dengan metode transek garis yang dibagi kedalam tiga plot. Sampling serangga dilakukan dengan metode pengamatan mangko kuning, kelambu dan perangkap tanah. Hasil penelitian diperoleh 10 dan 12 spesies serangga predator yang termasuk kedalam 10 dan 12 famili. Jenis serangga predator yang diperoleh mayoritas adalah Coccinelidae, Oxyopidae,, Hydrophilidae, Pholcidae, serta kekayaan, keanekaragaman dan kemerataan lebih tinggi pada lahan menghasilkan.

Abstract

Lancok Village is one of the villages in Peusangan District, Bireuen Regency. This village is the location for Community Service (PKM) activities. Students who are members of the PKM team from the Faculty of Agriculture, Agribusiness Study Programme, Almuslim University. The majority of Acehnese people work as farmers. So, we, who are students of the Faculty of Agriculture, Almuslim University, aim to carry out community service by socializing agricultural extension activities with Bireuen district extension officers to find out communication studies in agriculture, where the messages conveyed are agricultural messages, either in the form of new information, new ideas, new technology, or improvements to new methods. This extension was carried out on 23 May 2024 by specifically inviting the Extension Officer as the party who would present the extension material. As a result of this outreach, agricultural students get a space to voice their opinions about various agricultural problems that they hear and see in the field. One of the participants and representatives of agrarian students thought that this extension activity was very good because in addition to adding insight, the material presented was also related to the main problems often faced by farmers.

Abstract

Perbaikan sifat-sifat tanah dengan bahan amelioran seperti senyawa humat, zeolit dan biochar sangat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan produksi tanaman. Pemberian zeolit yang memiliki KTK tinggi, biochar yang memiliki ruang pori (absorben) sebagai carier senyawa humat diharapkan senyawa humat dapat berada dalam tanah dalam waktu yang lebih lama. Dengan mekanisme tersebut diharapkan senyawa humat, zeolit dan biochar dapat meningkatkan efisiensi hara tanah sehingga mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri atas 7 perlakuan yaitu  HZ1 (Humat Zeolit 15 l/ha) dan HZ2 (Humat Zeolit 25 l/ha), HB2 (Humat Biochar 25 l/ha) HB1 (Humat Biochar 15 l/ha). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi dosis senyawa humat dan zeolit yang diberikan ke dalam tanah meningkatkan tinggi, lebar daun, dan jumlah daun tanaman jagung. Perlakuan HZ2 (Humat Zeolit 25 l/ha) menunjukan pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman paling baik diantara jenis perlakuan yang lain. Senyawa humat carrier zeolit dapat mempengaruhi pertumbuhan tanaman secara tidak langsung melalui hasil fotosintat yang meningkat di awal penanaman akan mempercepat pertumbuhan vegetative tanaman.
