Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of working hours and workload on work productivity with job satisfaction as a moderating variable at PT PLN Binjai Kota Customer Service Unit. The research method used is a quantitative approach with Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis technique. The study population was all employees of ULP Binjai Kota, with a sample of 83 respondents. The results showed that working hours had a positive and significant effect on work productivity, while workload had a negative and significant effect on work productivity. In addition, job satisfaction was proven to have a positive and significant effect on work productivity and moderated the relationship between working hours and workload with work productivity. The R Square value of 0.836 indicates that the variables of working hours, workload, and job satisfaction are able to explain the variable of work productivity by 83.6%. These findings are expected to be managerial considerations in managing working hours and workload to improve employee satisfaction and productivity within PT PLN ULP Binjai Kota.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of communication and punishment on employee performance with work discipline as an intervening variable at PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Pematangsiantar. The research method used is quantitative with the Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. The study population was all 117 permanent employees of PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Pematangsiantar who also served as research samples. The results showed that communication had a positive and significant effect on employee performance and work discipline. Punishment also had a positive and significant effect on employee performance and work discipline. In addition, work discipline was proven to have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Other findings showed that work discipline played a role as an intervening variable in the relationship between communication and performance, as well as the relationship between punishment and employee performance. The R-square value of work discipline was 0.844 and employee performance was 0.863, which means that this research model has strong explanatory power. The practical implications of this research are the need for company management to clarify superior instructions, socialize punishment rules, especially those related to layoffs, in a transparent manner, improve work discipline development, and provide more training and trust to employees so that they are able to work independently.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of café atmosphere and service quality to increase customer loyalty mediated by satisfaction. This research was conducted by quantitative methods with an associative approach. Data analysis was used in this study using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with Smart PLS software version 3 and primary data from 199 respondents who are consumers of Goodfella Cafe. The results showed that the café atmosphere and service quality, have a positive and significant influence on increasing customer loyalty, with customer satisfaction as a mediator. These findings are important for Goodfella Cafe management and other café business owners to improve customer loyalty, and customer experience and strengthen their position in the market. By improving and improving the café atmosphere and service quality, it is hoped that Goodfella Cafe can attract more new customers and retain old customers, thereby increasing sales turnover.

Abstract

The study analyzed the influence of the service marketing mix with variables assessed as Product (X1), Promotion (X2), Price (X3), Location (X4), Employee (X5), Physical Evidence (X6), and Process (X7) on the purchase decision (Y) of customers mediated by Trust (Z) at JNE Main Branch. The population in this study is 5,400 consumers with a sample size of 185 consumers. The research was conducted from August to October 2023. This study uses quantitative data processed by the SEM-PLS analysis method using SmartPLS 3.0 software. The data sources used are primary data taken directly from respondents and secondary data obtained from interviews with JNE Main Branch management. The results of the study show that the service marketing mix has a positive and significant effect on customer trust. This concludes that the service marketing mix consisting of products, places, promotions, places, employees, physical evidence, processes, and intervening variables, namely customer trust, has a positive and significant effect on purchase decisions and customer trust to use the services of JNE Medan Main Branch. The managerial implication of this study is the need for JNE Medan Main Branch to continue to improve the service marketing mix strategy, especially in terms of product quality, competitive pricing, ease of access, effective promotion, service quality, process efficiency, and the provision of attractive physical evidence. This is important to build customer trust and ultimately improve the purchase decision of freight forwarding services.

Abstract

This study aims to test and analyze the influence of service tariffs and customer participation on the purchase decision of prepaid electricity services at PT PLN (Persero) ULP Medan Kota and test and analyze the influence of service tariffs and customer participation on the purchase decision of prepaid electricity services at PT PLN (Persero) ULP Medan Kota mediated by the company's image. The type of research is quantitative, with an associative approach. The types of data used are primary and secondary. Data collection techniques with questionnaires and interviews. The sample of this study was taken by the Purposive Sampling method with the desired respondent criteria being customers who had visited the PLN (Persero) ULP Medan Kota office more than 2 times. The results of the study show that service tariffs and customer participation have a positive and significant effect on the decision to purchase prepaid electricity services at PT PLN (Persero) ULP Medan Kota, service tariffs and customer participation have a positive and significant effect on the decision to purchase prepaid electricity services at PT PLN (Persero) ULP Medan Kota which is mediated by the company's image.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze the influence of transformational leadership and work climate on Employee Performance mediated by Work Motivation at the North Sumatra Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPDB) Office. This research was carried out at the North Sumatra Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPDB) Office. The type of research is quantitative associative. The sample in this study is 127 employees with ASN and honorary status at the North Sumatra Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPDB) Office. The sampling technique in this study uses a random sampling technique from the entire population of 186 people. The results of the study show that Transformational Leadership has a significant influence on Employee performance as shown by a T-Statistic value of 23.039 > 1.96 and a P Value of 0.000 < 0.05. In the influence of Work Climate on employee work, data on T-Statistical values were obtained from 1.251 < 1.96 and P-Value values of 0.213 < 0.05 or there was no effect of work climate on employee performance. Transformational Leadership Style has a significant effect on Employee Work Motivation with a T-Statistic value of 17.128 > 1.96 with a P-Value of 0.001 < 0.05. Work Climate has a significant effect on Employee Work Motivation. This can be seen from the results of the T-Statistic value of 67.389 > 1.96 with a P-Value of 0.000 < 0.05. On the effect of Work Motivation on Employee performance, a T-Statistic value of 19,409 < 1.96 with a P-Value of 0.000 > 0.05 which means that Work Motivation does not have a significant effect on the performance of Employees of the North Sumatra Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPDB) Office. In the indirect influence, the results show that Work Motivation has a role as an intervention variable in explaining the relationship between Transformational Leadership and Work Climate with Employee performance. This shows that improvements in Transformational Leadership and Work Climate can increase Work Motivation, which ultimately contributes to improving employee performance at the North Sumatra Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPDB) Office. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to test and analyze the influence of social factors, personal factors and psychological factors on the decision to buy online shooping fashion products in Medan City. Testing and analyzing the influence of social factors, personal factors and psychological factors on the purchase decision of fashion products in Medan City through online Shooping. This type of research is quantitative descriptive, with a research sample of 71 customers. Data analysis uses the SEM (structural equality modeling) method. Overall, from the results and discussions in the study, it is concluded that there is a significant influence between social factors on online shopping for the purchase of fashion products in Medan City. There is a positive and significant influence between personal factors on online shopping for the purchase of fashion products in the city of Medan. There is a positive and significant influence between psychology and online shopping for the purchase of fashion products in the city of Medan. There is a positive and significant influence between online shooping on the decision to buy fashion products in the city of Medan. There is a positive and significant influence between social factors on the purchase of fashion products in Medan City through online shooping. There is a positive and significant influence between personal factors on the decision to buy fashion products in Medan City through online shooping. Abstract

This study aims to test and analyze the influence of entertainment and electronic word of mouth entertainment and electronic word of mouth have a positive and significant effect on brand trust. Entertainment and electronic word of mouth positively and significantly affect customer loyalty at the Samsat Binjai office. Likewise, entertainment and electronic word of mouth have a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty mediated by brand trust. Entertainment has a significant influence on customer loyalty, especially when mediated by brand trust. The research method is quantitative. The population in this study amounted to 170 and by using the slovin formula, a sample of 63 respondents was obtained. The data processing method uses SMART PLS. The results of this study show that entertainment and electronic word of mouth entertainment and electronic word of mouth have a positive and significant effect on brand trust. Entertainment and electronic word of mouth positively and significantly affect customer loyalty at the Samsat Binjai office. Likewise, entertainment and electronic word of mouth have a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty mediated by brand trust.

Abstract

This research delves into the intricate relationship between work motivation, employee commitment, and the work environment, examining how these elements intersect and influence organizational outcomes. The study proposes that employees who exhibit strong commitment are more inclined to harmonize their personal aspirations and goals with the overarching objectives of the organization, ultimately contributing to enhanced organizational stability and increased employee retention rates. Furthermore, the research investigates the crucial role of a positive and supportive work environment in nurturing positive employee emotions, such as job satisfaction and engagement, which in turn lead to improved work performance and productivity. Additionally, the study emphasizes the importance of effective leadership in cultivating a motivating work environment characterized by fair treatment, open and transparent communication channels, and genuine recognition of employee contributions.
