Abstract

Students' mathematical communication and mathematical problem solving are still weak because the average test results are still below the KKM. Seeing this, the author conducted a study using the Problem Based Learning learning model. The goal is for students to be able to solve a mathematical problem properly and correctly. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research type with a post-test only control group research design. The sample in this study were students in grades XI IPA I and XI IPA 2 with a simple random sampling technique. The data collection technique in this study was a test. The prerequisite techniques used were multivariate normality and homogeneity tests and hypothesis testing in this study used the Multivariate Analysis Of Variance (Manova) test. The results of the study showed that there was an influence of the GeoGebra-assisted Problem Based Learning approach on the mathematical communication and mathematical problem solving abilities of high school students and on the mathematical communication and mathematical problem solving abilities of students, there was a better influence of the GeoGebra-assisted Problem Based Learning learning model compared to conventional learning models.

Abstract

Bahan ajar adalah segenap bahan yang dipakai guru dalam membantu pelaksanaan kegiatan belajar mengajar di kelas. Bahan ajar merupakan bagian penting dari suatu proses pembelajaran dan salah satu solusi pembelajaran di era industri 4.0 sehingga diharapkan materi ajar diharapkan bisa mengurangi beban guru dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui validitas, tanggapan siswa dan pendidik terhadap bahan ajar tasawuf dengan teknik mnemonic device. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan Borg and Gall System dengan 7 dari 10 tahapan modifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar sangat layak dengan persentase rata-rata ahli media, bahasa dan materi sebesar 85,19%. Uji kelompok kecil dengan persentase 74,75% pada kriteria menarik dan uji lapangan dengan persentase 89% pada kriteria sangat menarik. Dari hasil tersebut mengindikasikan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan tersebut dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di era industri 4.0.

Abstract

This study aims to produce instructional materials in the form of electronic module based learning content development system on the matter of pattern number. This research method is Research and Development (R & D) based on ADDIE model. Assessment of material experts on the learning media is included in the category of "Valid" with an average value of 3.46. The media expert's assessment of this e-module is included in the "Valid" category with an average grade of 3.66. The linguist's assessment of this medium is included in the "Valid" category with an average grade of 3.6. In a small-scale trial followed by 10 students of class VII obtained an average score of 3.65 based on the results of a response questionnaire that has been filled by the learner, this result puts the e-module on the criteria "Very Interesting". In large-scale field trials followed by 30 students, the average score of attractiveness obtained was 3.55 on the criteria "Very interesting".

Abstract

The ability to understand the mathematical concepts of learners is important. However, some existing research suggests that understanding of the mathematical concepts of learners is still low. The low understanding of the mathematical concepts of learners is allegedly caused because students are still difficult in solving math problems and less active in the process of learning in class. The implementation of the heuristic vee expenditure strategy is expected to improve the problem. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of heuristic vee learning strategy on the ability to understand the mathematical concepts of learners. This research type used Quasi-Experiment Design research and sampling technique used is Probability Sampling method with Random Sampling technique. Hypothesis test used in this research is the t-test. The result of statistical test shows that the value of t_hitung based on the calculation obtained t_hitung = 2.096, and t_table = 1.998 so t_hitung>t_table, with a real level of 0.05, in other words, it can be concluded that the students' mathematical concept understanding that expected heuristic vee learning strategy better from the conceptual comprehension ability applied by the lecture method.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out whether there are: (1) the influence of the scientific approach on students’ critical thinking skills; (2) the influence of learning independence on students’ mathematical critical thinking ability; (3) the interaction between the scientific approach and the learning independence of students’ critical thinking skills. This research is a quasy experimental design research with 2x3 factorial design. Sampling technique in this research use probability sampling with cluster random sampling. The research instrument used is questionnaire self-reliance learning and test of critical thinking ability mathematically. Data from the results of tests of mathematical critical thinking ability were analyzed using anava test of two unequal cell paths and further tests using a double comparison test with the Scheffe method. The results showed that: (1) there was an influence of the scientific approach on students’ critical thinking skills; (2) there is influence of learning independence to students’ critical thinking ability mathematically; (3) there is no interaction between the scientific approach and the learning independence of mathematical critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Every life needs a very important role especially the role in education. Improving the quality of education can be pursued by the use of appropriate learning models so as to improve students' reasoning abilities. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in the influence of Novick's learning model and the learning model that is centered on educators on students' mathematical reasoning abilities, Knowing the interaction between learning models and SAVI learning styles (Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intelectually) on mathematical reasoning abilities learners. This research uses the Quasy Experiment Design method. The results obtained from this study are that learning by using Novick's learning model is more effective against mathematical reasoning for students, there is no interaction between Novick's learning model and SAVI learning style on mathematical reasoning abilities.

Abstract

Yogyakarta's ox carts, though culturally significant and increasingly rare, have not yet been explored as sources of mathematical concepts. This study addresses the urgency of preserving and utilizing these traditional artefacts as contextual tools for mathematics education. This ethnographic research aims to identify and describe mathematical concepts—geometry, arithmetic, algebra, and statistics—embedded in various parts of the Yogyakarta ox cart. Data were collected through interviews and observations, with the subject being an ox cart craftsman and the object being the mathematical concepts found in the cart’s section. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model. The findings reveal four major mathematical concepts: (1) Geometry, including rectangles, trapezoids, rhombuses, triangles, reflections, translations, rotations, parallel and intersecting lines, angles, and tessellations; (2) Arithmetic, involving arithmetic sequences and division operations; (3) Algebra, in the form of variable terms; and (4) Statistics, represented by the mode topic. These findings contribute to the field of ethnomathematics by introducing a new cultural context and supporting the development of mathematical materials based on local wisdom, making learning more realistic. Integrating local heritage into mathematics instruction can foster a deeper understanding, increased student engagement, and a greater appreciation for cultural diversity, offering meaningful and realistic learning experiences.

Abstract

Teknologi digital telah membawa perubahan pada dunia pendidikan, e-modul merupakan salah satu jenis teknologi yang digunakan dalam pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah guna mengatasi masalah pemahaman peserta didik pada pelajaran matematika dengan membuat e-modul matematika berbasis nilai keislaman dan situation based learning pada materi koordinat kartesius. Subjek penelitian pengembang adalalah peserta didik kelas VIII MTs Al Hikmah Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian Research and Development, model ADDIE ialah model pengembangan yang diterapkan. Metode yang diterapkan untuk mendapatkan data ialah wawancara, tes, angket validasi, dan angket kemenarikan. Hasil uji kelayakan validator ahli materi senilai 3,62, ahli media senilai 3,48, dan ahli agama senilai 3,58. Pada tes kelompok kecil respon peserta didik senilai 3,53 dan pada tes kelompok besar senilai 3,44 dengan kriteria sangat menarik. Hasil uji efektivitas memperoleh skor effect size senilai 0,67 dengan kategori sedang. Maka dapat dinyatakan e-modul matematika berbasis nilai keislaman dan situation based learning layak, sangat menarik, dan cukup efektif diterapkan ketika pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengembangan bahan ajar untuk mata kuliah yang mengintegrasikan matematika, nilai-nilai Islam, dan aspek lingkungan. Tujuannya adalah menciptakan sumber belajar yang menggabungkan elemen-elemen tersebut secara terpadu dan relevan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kelayakan bahan ajar yang dikembangkan serta mengumpulkan umpan balik dari mahasiswa. Model ADDIE digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yang melibatkan tahap perencanaan, perancangan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi secara cermat. Terdapat 3 ahli di bidang materi, 3 ahli di bidang media, 3 ahli di bidang agama dan lingkungan turut serta dalam validasi bahan ajar ini untuk memastikan kualitas dan relevansinya. Proses validasi menghasilkan skor rata-rata 87,16% dari ahli materi, 85,7% dari ahli media, dan 84,46% dari ahli agama dan lingkungan pada skala 4 poin. Bahan ajar kemudian diuji pada dua kelompok mahasiswa: kelompok kecil dengan 10 mahasiswa dan kelompok besar dengan 30 mahasiswa, dengan skor rata-rata masing-masing 89,63% dan 88,63%. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar ini diterima dengan baik, dengan kedua kelompok menilainya sebagai "sangat menarik", sehingga bahan ajar tersebut dapat digunakan sebagai referensi tambahan dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan bahan ajar terpadu dan menyediakan dasar yang kuat untuk kemajuan pendidikan di masa depan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference in understanding mathematical concepts between classes taught with the MURDER learning model (Mood, Understanding, Recall, Digest, Expend, and Review) assisted by Ice Breaking and conventional learning in class XI students of SMK Negeri 1 Seputih Surabaya. This type of research is Quasy Experimental Design using a 2×3 factorial research design. The samples used were students of class XI Accounting 1 and XI Accounting 2 SMK Negeri 1 Seputih Surabaya. This study also uses Cluster Random Sampling as a sampling technique, as well as for data collection, namely through tests. The data analysis technique was carried out quantitatively by using the Two Way ANOVA Test (Two-Way Variance Analysis). Through the calculation of the hypothesis, the results obtained that the p-Value value of the Ice Breaking-assisted MURDER learning model = 0.000 less than = 0.05 so that the p-Value , it can be said that there is an effect of using the Ice Breaking-Assisted MURDER learning model on the ability to understand students' mathematical concept .
