Abstract

DBD atau Demam Berdarah Dengue merupakan penyakit gigitan nyamuk pembawa virus dengue. Penyakit ini merupakan salah satu penyakit yang masih endemic di Indonesia. Penyebaran penyakit DBD cenderung meningkat setiap tahun dan menyerang semua kelompok umur. Kegiatan Sosialisasi ini merupakan salah satu bentuk pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang tanda dan gejala DBD, pencegahan DBD dengan cara pemberantasan sarang nyamuk, serta pemanfaatan tanaman obat yang terdapat di sekitar masyarakat seperti Abate dan Minyak Sereh sebagai upaya pencegahan demam berdarah. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini adalah sosialisasi awam, membagikan selebaran dan saling bekerja sama dalam memberantas terjadinya jentik-jentik nyamuk. Selama berlangsungnya kegiatan sosialisasi, terlihat warga sangat antusias dalam mengikuti kegiatan tersebut dengan banyak yang bertanya tentang bahaya penyakit DBD, cara pencegahannya, dan bagaimana cara mengatasinya. Hal itu dinilai bahwa kegiatan sosialisai tersebut dapat dikatakan cukup berhasil. Hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui program kegiatan sosialisasi pencegahan DBD serta pembagian bubuk Abate dan minyak sereh ini sangat bermanfaat dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan peran serta masyarakat dalam pencegahan penyakit Demam Berdarah Dengue.

Abstract

In this modern era, although technology has brought significant changes to education, there remains a gap in the implementation of numeracy and socio-cultural literacy in Madrasahs in Indonesia, contributing to students' low numeracy literacy skills. The government has introduced the Indonesian Madrasah Competency Assessment Program (AKMI), but challenges in developing innovative and needs-based teaching materials persist. Therefore, new strategies are needed to enhance students' literacy in diverse contexts, such as numeracy literacy-oriented teaching materials. This study aims to develop teaching materials oriented towards numeracy and socio-cultural literacy for Madrasah Ibtidaiyah using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research instruments included expert validation sheets to evaluate the feasibility of the teaching materials and questionnaires to assess the product's attractiveness from students' perspectives. The feasibility of the teaching materials was evaluated by three groups of experts: material, media, and socio-cultural specialists. The validation results showed average scores of 3.59 for the material aspect, 3.46 for the media aspect, and 3.48 for the socio-cultural aspect on a 4-point scale, indicating that the teaching materials met the feasibility criteria. Meanwhile, the attractiveness of the teaching materials was assessed based on student responses through questionnaires involving two trial groups: a small group of 10 students with an average attractiveness score of 3.59 and a larger group of 20 students with an average attractiveness score of 3.62. The results of the study indicate that the developed teaching materials are feasible to use based on expert validation and are considered attractive by students. Thus, the development of these teaching materials is expected to contribute positively to the learning process in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Di era modern ini, meskipun teknologi telah membawa perubahan signifikan dalam pendidikan, masih terdapat kesenjangan dalam penerapan literasi numerasi dan sosial budaya di Madrasah di Indonesia, yang berdampak pada rendahnya kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa. Upaya pemerintah melalui Program Asesemen Kompetensi Madrasah Indonesia (AKMI) telah dilakukan, tetapi tantangan dalam mengembangkan bahan ajar yang inovatif dan sesuai kebutuhan tetap ada. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi baru untuk meningkatkan literasi siswa dalam konteks yang beragam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar yang berorientasi pada literasi numerasi dan sosial budaya untuk Madrasah Ibtidaiyah dengan menggunakan model ADDIE (Analisis, Desain, Pengembangan, Implementasi, Evaluasi). Instrumen penelitian mencakup lembar validasi ahli untuk mengevaluasi kelayakan bahan ajar dan angket untuk menilai tingkat kemenarikan produk dari sudut pandang mahasiswa. Kelayakan bahan ajar dievaluasi oleh tiga kelompok ahli, yaitu ahli materi, media, dan sosial budaya. Hasil validasi menunjukkan rata-rata skor 3,59 untuk aspek materi, 3,46 untuk aspek media, dan 3,48 untuk aspek sosial budaya pada skala 4, yang menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar memenuhi kriteria kelayakan (kategori”layak”). Sementara itu, kemenarikan bahan ajar dinilai berdasarkan respons mahasiswa melalui angket. Penilaian dilakukan oleh dua kelompok uji coba: kelompok kecil yang terdiri dari 10 mahasiswa dengan rata-rata penilaian kemenarikan 3,59 dan kelompok besar yang terdiri dari 20 mahasiswa dengan rata-rata penilaian kemenarikan 3,62. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan layak digunakan berdasarkan validasi para ahli dan dinilai menarik oleh mahasiswa. Dengan demikian, pengembangan bahan ajar ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap proses pembelajaran di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.

Abstract

Students' mathematical communication and mathematical problem solving are still weak because the average test results are still below the KKM. Seeing this, the author conducted a study using the Problem Based Learning learning model. The goal is for students to be able to solve a mathematical problem properly and correctly. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research type with a post-test only control group research design. The sample in this study were students in grades XI IPA I and XI IPA 2 with a simple random sampling technique. The data collection technique in this study was a test. The prerequisite techniques used were multivariate normality and homogeneity tests and hypothesis testing in this study used the Multivariate Analysis Of Variance (Manova) test. The results of the study showed that there was an influence of the GeoGebra-assisted Problem Based Learning approach on the mathematical communication and mathematical problem solving abilities of high school students and on the mathematical communication and mathematical problem solving abilities of students, there was a better influence of the GeoGebra-assisted Problem Based Learning learning model compared to conventional learning models.

Abstract

Bahan ajar adalah segenap bahan yang dipakai guru dalam membantu pelaksanaan kegiatan belajar mengajar di kelas. Bahan ajar merupakan bagian penting dari suatu proses pembelajaran dan salah satu solusi pembelajaran di era industri 4.0 sehingga diharapkan materi ajar diharapkan bisa mengurangi beban guru dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui validitas, tanggapan siswa dan pendidik terhadap bahan ajar tasawuf dengan teknik mnemonic device. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan Borg and Gall System dengan 7 dari 10 tahapan modifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar sangat layak dengan persentase rata-rata ahli media, bahasa dan materi sebesar 85,19%. Uji kelompok kecil dengan persentase 74,75% pada kriteria menarik dan uji lapangan dengan persentase 89% pada kriteria sangat menarik. Dari hasil tersebut mengindikasikan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan tersebut dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di era industri 4.0.

Abstract

This study aims to produce instructional materials in the form of electronic module based learning content development system on the matter of pattern number. This research method is Research and Development (R & D) based on ADDIE model. Assessment of material experts on the learning media is included in the category of "Valid" with an average value of 3.46. The media expert's assessment of this e-module is included in the "Valid" category with an average grade of 3.66. The linguist's assessment of this medium is included in the "Valid" category with an average grade of 3.6. In a small-scale trial followed by 10 students of class VII obtained an average score of 3.65 based on the results of a response questionnaire that has been filled by the learner, this result puts the e-module on the criteria "Very Interesting". In large-scale field trials followed by 30 students, the average score of attractiveness obtained was 3.55 on the criteria "Very interesting".

Abstract

The ability to understand the mathematical concepts of learners is important. However, some existing research suggests that understanding of the mathematical concepts of learners is still low. The low understanding of the mathematical concepts of learners is allegedly caused because students are still difficult in solving math problems and less active in the process of learning in class. The implementation of the heuristic vee expenditure strategy is expected to improve the problem. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of heuristic vee learning strategy on the ability to understand the mathematical concepts of learners. This research type used Quasi-Experiment Design research and sampling technique used is Probability Sampling method with Random Sampling technique. Hypothesis test used in this research is the t-test. The result of statistical test shows that the value of t_hitung based on the calculation obtained t_hitung = 2.096, and t_table = 1.998 so t_hitung>t_table, with a real level of 0.05, in other words, it can be concluded that the students' mathematical concept understanding that expected heuristic vee learning strategy better from the conceptual comprehension ability applied by the lecture method.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out whether there are: (1) the influence of the scientific approach on students’ critical thinking skills; (2) the influence of learning independence on students’ mathematical critical thinking ability; (3) the interaction between the scientific approach and the learning independence of students’ critical thinking skills. This research is a quasy experimental design research with 2x3 factorial design. Sampling technique in this research use probability sampling with cluster random sampling. The research instrument used is questionnaire self-reliance learning and test of critical thinking ability mathematically. Data from the results of tests of mathematical critical thinking ability were analyzed using anava test of two unequal cell paths and further tests using a double comparison test with the Scheffe method. The results showed that: (1) there was an influence of the scientific approach on students’ critical thinking skills; (2) there is influence of learning independence to students’ critical thinking ability mathematically; (3) there is no interaction between the scientific approach and the learning independence of mathematical critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Every life needs a very important role especially the role in education. Improving the quality of education can be pursued by the use of appropriate learning models so as to improve students' reasoning abilities. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in the influence of Novick's learning model and the learning model that is centered on educators on students' mathematical reasoning abilities, Knowing the interaction between learning models and SAVI learning styles (Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intelectually) on mathematical reasoning abilities learners. This research uses the Quasy Experiment Design method. The results obtained from this study are that learning by using Novick's learning model is more effective against mathematical reasoning for students, there is no interaction between Novick's learning model and SAVI learning style on mathematical reasoning abilities.

Abstract

Background: Many students face difficulties in expressing mathematical ideas due to the absence of instructional materials that connect lessons with real-world contexts. Applying a contextual approach aligned with scientific inquiry may improve students’ conceptual understanding and engagement.Aims: This research seeks to develop and assess the effectiveness of contextual teaching modules designed using a scientific framework to strengthen the mathematical representation skills of junior secondary learners.Methods: Adopting the ADDIE instructional design model, this study utilized a Research and Development (RD) methodology involving 87 seventh-grade students from two Indonesian schools. Data collection included expert validation instruments, learner feedback surveys, and pretest-posttest measurements, with analysis based on validity, practicality, and effect size metrics.Results: Expert evaluations confirmed high validity, with average ratings of 3.71 for content and 3.73 for media. Student feedback indicated high engagement across both trial groups (mean scores above 3.3). Effect size analysis showed substantial learning gains, with Cohen’s d values of 0.82 and 0.96, indicating strong impact on students’ mathematical representation ability.Conclusion: The contextual modules developed through this study, when implemented with a scientific approach, were validated as effective tools for improving students’ ability to represent mathematical concepts. These outcomes underscore the value of integrating contextual and inquiry-driven strategies into teaching practices to make abstract content more accessible and meaningful in mathematics education.

Abstract

Yogyakarta's ox carts, though culturally significant and increasingly rare, have not yet been explored as sources of mathematical concepts. This study addresses the urgency of preserving and utilizing these traditional artefacts as contextual tools for mathematics education. This ethnographic research aims to identify and describe mathematical concepts—geometry, arithmetic, algebra, and statistics—embedded in various parts of the Yogyakarta ox cart. Data were collected through interviews and observations, with the subject being an ox cart craftsman and the object being the mathematical concepts found in the cart’s section. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model. The findings reveal four major mathematical concepts: (1) Geometry, including rectangles, trapezoids, rhombuses, triangles, reflections, translations, rotations, parallel and intersecting lines, angles, and tessellations; (2) Arithmetic, involving arithmetic sequences and division operations; (3) Algebra, in the form of variable terms; and (4) Statistics, represented by the mode topic. These findings contribute to the field of ethnomathematics by introducing a new cultural context and supporting the development of mathematical materials based on local wisdom, making learning more realistic. Integrating local heritage into mathematics instruction can foster a deeper understanding, increased student engagement, and a greater appreciation for cultural diversity, offering meaningful and realistic learning experiences.
