Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the implementation of procurement and utilization policies for school facilities and infrastructure based on students' needs at TKN 1 Plus Banyuasin III. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed involving the principal, teachers, and school committee members selected through purposive sampling because of their direct involvement in school facilities management. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation and analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña interactive model. The findings indicate that the implementation of school facilities and infrastructure policies has generally been carried out systematically through participatory planning, procurement, utilization, maintenance, and periodic evaluation. Educational facilities have supported active learning and students' cognitive, social, and motor development. Nevertheless, limited budgets, inadequate facilities, and insufficient human resource competencies remain significant barriers. This study contributes to educational management by emphasizing that effective school facilities management depends not only on resource availability but also on participatory decision-making, leadership commitment, and needs-based policy implementation in early childhood education institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of transformational leadership and teacher performance on ICT-based school quality, with curriculum implementation serving as a mediating variable, in junior high schools in the Empat Petulai Dangku District. The study was motivated by the predominance of administrative leadership practices, inconsistent teacher performance, and the suboptimal implementation of ICT-based curricula, which have hindered efforts to improve school quality. A quantitative survey design was employed using proportional random sampling to select the research participants. Data were analysed using multiple linear regression and path analysis to examine both direct and indirect relationships among the variables. The findings indicate that transformational leadership and teacher performance significantly and positively influence curriculum implementation as well as ICT-based school quality. Furthermore, curriculum implementation was found to mediate the relationship between transformational leadership, teacher performance, and ICT-based school quality, indicating that effective curriculum implementation strengthens the contribution of leadership and teacher performance to school improvement. These findings suggest that visionary school leadership, professional teacher performance, and effective ICT integration are essential components for enhancing school quality in the digital era. The study provides empirical evidence supporting the integration of transformational leadership, teacher performance, and curriculum implementation as key strategies for improving ICT-based school quality.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the role, constraints, and solutions of the principal in implementing supervision to improve teacher competency at SD Negeri 6 Banyuasin I. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the principal plays a strategic role in improving teacher competency through planned, continuous, and collaborative supervision, not only as administrative control but also as professional development that involves identifying teacher needs, providing constructive feedback, and designing follow-up actions such as training or reflection. The implementation of supervision often faces obstacles in the form of time constraints due to administrative burdens, limited competence of the principal in reflective and constructive supervision, and limited supporting facilities and infrastructure, so that its effectiveness can be reduced and tends to be formal. To overcome this, the principal applies efficient time management, delegates some administrative tasks, creates a structured supervision schedule, improves competency through training, workshops, and professional learning communities, and utilizes simple technology for remote supervision, so that supervision remains effective, collaborative, and sustainable despite these limitations.

Abstract

This study examined the effects of teacher work motivation and teacher professionalism on instructional quality in public elementary schools in Banyuasin III District. A quantitative ex post facto design was employed. The population consisted of 38 teachers from two public elementary schools, all of whom were included through total sampling. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires and documentation. The instruments were valid and highly reliable, with Cronbach's alpha coefficients of 0.909 for teacher work motivation, 0.914 for teacher professionalism, and 0.891 for instructional quality. Data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, prerequisite tests, simple linear regression, and multiple linear regression using SPSS version 26. Teacher work motivation had a positive and significant effect on instructional quality (B = 0.306; t = 4.910; p < 0.001; R² = 40.1%). Teacher professionalism also had a positive and significant effect (B = 0.336; t = 4.329; p < 0.001; R² = 34.2%). Simultaneously, both variables significantly predicted instructional quality (F = 17.923; p < 0.001; R² = 50.6%), with the regression equation Y = 2.344 + 0.222X1 + 0.211X2. These findings show that instructional quality can be strengthened by sustaining teachers' work motivation and continuously developing their professional competence.

Abstract

Abstract

Teacher performance is a key determinant of instructional quality and school effectiveness. However, previous studies have often examined teacher professionalism and school management separately, resulting in limited empirical evidence on their combined effects, particularly in the context of senior high schools at the district level. This study aims to examine the influence of teacher professional development and school management on teacher performance, both partially and simultaneously. A quantitative explanatory design with multiple linear regression analysis was employed. The population consisted of 80 teachers, all of whom were included as the sample using total sampling. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires that met validity and reliability requirements and analyzed using SPSS. The results indicate that teacher professional development (β = 0.549; p < 0.001) and school management (β = 0.386; p < 0.001) have positive and significant effects on teacher performance. Simultaneously, both variables explain 72.7% of the variance in teacher performance (R² = 0.727; p < 0.001). These findings highlight the importance of synergy between individual professional capacity and effective school management.
