Abstract

This article discusses the work of Djamaluddin Wak Ketok during the struggle for independence and after independence. Then it will also discuss the role of Djamaluddin Wak Ketok in improving the economy of the community as well as his struggle career during the independence period and after independence. This article uses historical and library methods consisting of several stages, namely heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The source used is the primary source in the form of observations, documentation, and interviews conducted with family or the public who know Wak Keto. This article shows that Djamaluddin Wak Ketok started his career when in 1945 he returned to Padang and became a member of the Indonesian Youth Information Center (BPPI) Padang City. Then became vice chairman at the Independence Struggle Council in Padang City, became the Head of AKR/TKR/TRI in Padang, Division IX Leader of sector IV/A commander based in AsamPulauAnduring front area of Padang Area and Padang Luar Kota, until his position as military district officer (PDM) in Pasaman Lubuk Sikaping became the career peak of Djamaluddin Wak Ketok. Wak Ketok role is that he is a respected figure of the community, Indonesian freedom fighters, his exaltation, and his religion. Djamaluddin Wak Ketok work in building public roads, now named Djamaluddin Wak Ketok Street from Simpang Pisang Pauh to Simpang Pasar Ambacang Kuranji Sub-district. Another great service is to build with matual tali bandar, irrigation for irrigation of rice fields from Gunung Nago Kuranji Sub-district, through Nanggalo, to Belanti Village, North Padang.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out and explore the principal's management State Vocational High School 6 Padang on learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted using qualitative research methods, with the determination of selected participants (purposive sampling). Data collection is done through interviews, and field observation. We conducted data analysis using qualitative analysis methods. Results research shows that the leadership role of SMK Negeri 6 Padang in ensuring education is carried out through 3 main things, namely LMS development, LMS use training, and online teacher performance assessment. All of these leadership practices are forms of adaptive leadership that adapts to the conditions of the distance learning process that must be carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to manage online learning in increasing activities student learning during the covid-19 pandemic for the future, especially in the long term like what we are facing right now with Corona Virus Disease-19 (COVID-19) which doesn't exist yet stop. Through analyzing online learning activity questionnaires through the opinion of an educator or the teacher's point of view with the research sample being 45 teachers who teach at the State Vocational High School in the city of Padang. The instrument used is a questionnaire distributed online using the ms.form link. Based on the data obtained,shows that the implementation of online learning has been carried out effectively seen from the teacher learning model readiness activity. From the results obtained, the teacher's readiness in addressing online learning using a learning model, namely 50% of teachers stated very ready, 20% said they agreed, 10% said they were not ready, 15% said they were not ready and 5% stated when they were not ready to process online learning models, with good results found from the management of educator readiness in online learning in the future can anticipated to be more effective by looking at the deficiencies and obstacles found in the field through this research.

Abstract

This study started from the problem that students' interest in the competence of making tablecloths using fantasy embroidery was still lacking. The purpose of this study was to express students' interest in learning about the competence to learn the skills of making tablecloths using fantasy embroidery at MTsN Payakumbuh, Payakumbuh City. The method used in this research is the descriptive method. The population in this study was class VIII students, amounting to 198 students. The sample in this study is part of the population obtained by 40 students. The indicators in this study are the strength of students' motives, attention, and feelings of pleasure towards arts and culture subjects in learning the skills of making tablecloths using fantasy embroidery. This research instrument is in the form of a questionnaire, and the data analysis technique uses percentages. The results showed that the interest of class VIII students in arts and culture subjects in learning the skills of making tablecloths using fantasy embroidery at MTsN Payakumbuh was in the high category with an average score of 3.6 with an achievement rate of 72.5% of respondents. Student interest from the aspect of motive power obtained an average score of 3.36 with a respondent's level of achievement of 67.14%, including the high category, and student interest from the aspect of attention with obtained an average score of 3.72 with a respondent's achievement level of 74.5% including the high category and student interest in terms of feeling happy with obtained an average score of 3. 8 with an achievement level of 75.9% respondents included in the high category. It is recommended that students increase their interest in learning, and the teacher directs students more to growing students' interest in learning.

Abstract

The role of the teacher in any circumstances and conditions is still prioritized in improving student learning outcomes. So that learning can still run effectively so that the process can run as it should. During the COVID-19 pandemic at SMAN 2 Kinali, there was a decrease in student learning outcomes. Research purposes, in this case, are to find out how the role of teachers in improving learning outcomes during the COVID-19 pandemic. The method used is a literature review from various journals and book sources that are on the theme. The role of teachers in improving student learning outcomes during the COVID-19 pandemic at SMAN 2 Kinali can be done by increasing aspects of the role and function of teachers in learning, factors that affect learning, learning outcomes, and learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to know the effectiveness of the use of e-module-based geography teaching materials with inserts of religious values. This type of research is development research (Research and Development) by adapting the ADDIE model. Validation of teaching materials is obtained from learning material experts, learning media experts, and learning design experts. The practicality of teaching materials is obtained from teachers and students. The effectiveness of teaching materials is obtained from student learning outcomes. The results showed that: 1) The quality of e-module-based geography teaching materials is very valid and very practical. The validity assessment from the learning material expert got the final score of 92.5%, the learning media expert got the final score of 91.25%, and the learning design expert got the final score of 85.71%. The practicality assessment got a final score of 88.33%; 2) Student learning outcomes data showed that there was a change in scores from pre-test to post-test with an average N-gain score of the experimental class of 77.07 belonging to the high category. Meanwhile, the average N-gain score for the control class is 60.05, which is included in the medium category. Based on the results of the t-test, it can be concluded that the significance value (2-tailed) is 0.000 so the significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 < the significance value of 0.05. This means that there is a difference between experimental classes that are given special behaviors using module-based teaching materials and getting higher scores than control classes that do not use e-module-based teaching materials. So it can be concluded that the teaching materials developed can increase the effectiveness of learning.

Abstract

The development of the world of education is currently increasing, one of which is the emergence of E-learning and constructivism learning designs that explore the potential, abilities, and insights of students in a broad and structured manner through Blended Learning. The method used in this writing is a literature study using several articles as material to create new articles. In this study, the author writes by referring to several articles that have been reviewed. Results The use of learning designs that combine face-to-face methods with learning designs using IT becomes an alternative when many students feel bored with the current learning designs. The face-to-face learning system that has undergone a change from traditional (lectures) to a more modern one is the constructivist approach. The use of the Blended Learning method that combines the design of Constructivism Learning with E-Learning makes the KBM process run better and optimally.

Abstract

Basically, every student has a different learning style. This study aims to determine the dominant learning style in D3 Fashion Design students, Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality, Padang State University, which consists of visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles. The research method is descriptive quantitative. The population in this study were D3 Fashion Design students who were registered in the 2019 semester of January-June 2022, class of 2019, 2020 and 2021. The sample technique used was simple random sampling determined by the Slovin formula and obtained as many as 60 students. Data collection using a questionnaire. Analysis of research data using descriptive statistical analysis. The results showed that the learning style of D3 Tourism and Hospitality Fashion Design students at Padang State University with a visual learning style value of 42%, auditory 35% and kinesthetic 23%. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the most dominant learning style for D3 Fashion Design students is visual learning style.

Abstract

Pada pembelajaran CAD Pattern Making mahasiswa masih mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami langkah kerja pembuatan pola lengan yang ada pada jobsheet, dan video pembelajaran mengenai pembuatan pola lengan yang valid dan praktis masih terbatas menjadi alasan yang melatar belakangi penulis untuk melakukan penelitian. Maka dari itu diperlukannya video tutorial untuk mempermudah pemahaman mahasiswa terkait materi yang diberikan dan memperlihatkan langkah-langkah proses pembuatan pola lengan berdasarkan teknik pemasangannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan video tutorial pembuatan pola lengan berdasarkan teknik pemasangannya menggunakan RP-DGS pada mata kuliah CAD Pattern Making Mahasiswa Tata Busana Fakultas Pariwisata dan Perhotelan Universitas Negeri Padang yang bersifat valid dan praktis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian Research and Development (RD) dengan menerapkan model pengembangan menurut Alessi Trollip (2001). Hasil uji validasi media memiliki presentase nilai 92% dengan kategori sangat valid, lalu hasil uji validasi materi memiliki presentase nilai 92% dengan kategori sangat valid. Berdasarkan uji coba skala kecil diperoleh nilai dengan presentase 94,1% yang dikategorikan sangat praktis, lalu praktikalitas uji coba skala besar diperoleh nilai dengan presentase 90,96% yang dikategorikan sangat praktis. Begitu juga hasil uji praktikalitas dosen yang diperoleh nilai dengan presentase 95%, dikategorikan sangat praktis. Berdasarkan data hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa video tutorial pembuatan pola lengan menggunakan RP-DGS pada mata kuliah CAD Pattern Making sangat valid dan sangat praktis sehingga dapat digunakan dalam proses perkuliahan CAD Pattern Making.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the level of prohibition in the school environment using the child-friendly school climate instrument based on the perceptions and experiences of students at Vocational High Schools in Ranah Pesisir District. The number of samples used in this study amounted to 170 people. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires online using Google Forms to randomly selected students. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive analysis to see the environmental friendliness of the school and the level of environmental friendliness of the school. The results of the study showed that friendship among vocational schools in Ranah Pesisir District was in the high category. The friendliness of the school environment is described by four main dimensions, namely a safe environment for children, teacher support, individual social relations and a family atmosphere at school. However, there are still students who feel uncomfortable because of bullying and mistreatment and ridicule while at school.
