Abstract

This research is motivated by the rapid development of digital technology in human life. Including the world of education, Vocational Schools (Vocational Schools) for Fashion in keeping up with technological developments studying digital design using the Ibis Paint X application. However, there are still many teachers who are not proficient in using the Ibis Paint expertise in operating the application is still limited. As a study program whose graduates are prepared to become vocational school teachers, it is necessary to add material to the Fashion Computer Applications course. The aim of this research is to describe the results of the validity and practicality of video tutorials on introducing tools and designing party clothing using the Ibis Paint The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D), the development model used is the Alessi & Trollip (2001) approach. The results of video validation tests by media experts show that the video has a very high level of validity. Likewise with the results of video validation by material experts, which shows a very high level of validity. Furthermore, the results of practicality tests by lecturers and students show that this video tutorial can be applied effectively in learning. The results of practicality tests by students in small and large groups show that this tutorial video is very practical to use in learning. Based on these findings, this video tutorial is recommended as an effective learning medium in the Fashion Computer Applications course in the PKK Undergraduate Fashion Design Study Program, FPP UNP.Keywords: video tutorial, ibis paint X AbstrakPenelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh pesatnya perkembangan teknologi digital didalam kehidupan manusia. Termasuk dunia pendidikan, SMK (Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan) Tata Busana dalam mengimbangi perkembangan teknologi mempelajari desain digital menggunakan aplikasi Ibis Paint X. Namun masih banyak guru yang kurang mahir menggunakan aplikasi Ibis Paint X. Hal ini juga berlaku pada mahasiswa S1 Tata Busana, di mana keahlian dalam mengoperasikan aplikasi tersebut masih terbatas. Sebagai Prodi yang lulusannya dipersiapkan untuk menjadi guru SMK, maka diperlukan penambahan materi pada mata kuliah Aplikasi Komputer Busana. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan hasil validitas dan praktikalitas dari video tutorial pengenalan tools dan mendesain busana pesta menggunakan aplikasi Ibis Paint X sebagai alat pendidikan untuk mata kuliah Aplikasi Komputer Busana. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini Research and Development (R&D), model digunakan dengan pendekatan Alessi & Trollip (2001). Uji validasi video oleh ahli media menunjukkan bahwa video tersebut memiliki tingkat validitas yang sangat tinggi. Begitu juga dengan hasil validasi video oleh ahli materi, yang menunjukkan tingkat validitas yang sangat tinggi. Selanjutnya, hasil uji praktikalitas oleh dosen pengampu dan mahasiswa menunjukkan bahwa video tutorial ini dapat diterapkan secara efektif dalam pembelajaran. Hasil uji praktikalitas oleh mahasiswa dalam kelompok kecil dan besar menunjukkan bahwa video tutorial ini sangat praktis untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Abstract

Each batik product in various regions has its own characteristics with different sources of inspiration. Such as kajang padati batik from West Sumatra which has its own characteristics, characters, and motifs. The purpose of this research is to describe the motif and meaning of Batik Kajang Padati motif. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive method. The types of data are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used is qualitative descriptive analysis, namely the steps of data reduction, data presentation, verification and conclusions. The results of the research show that the Kajang Padati Batik motif contains motifs and motif meanings such as; 1) The main ornament, namely the Rumah Gadang Kajang Padati motif, contains the meaning of an effort to introduce to the public about the existence of Rumah Gadang Kajang Padati which has a different shape from the current Rumah Gadang in general. it is rare and rarely found; 2) Complementary ornaments, including: a) The Kaluak Paku motif symbolizes leadership in Minangkabau, b) The Pucuak Rabuang motif symbolizes descendants, the next generation, c) The Saik Galamai motif symbolizes caution in taking action. d) Chain motif symbolizes strength, e) Ornament border motif symbolizes boundaries, f). Flame motif symbolizes high spirit, g) symbolizes mutual need, i) The rice motif symbolizes not being arrogant, j) The Bingkuang plant motif symbolizes being good at breaking down the atmosphere, k) The spiral motif symbolizes the process of human life, l) The chess motif symbolizes clever strategic thinking, m) The Ulek Bulu motif symbolizes the life process of a butterfly, n) The Kawung motif symbolizes the hope that humans will always remember their origins, strength and justice, o) The Ombak Lauik motif symbolizes the coastal area.Keywords: motif, meaning of motif, batik kajang padatiAbstrakSetiap produk batik di berbagai daerah memiliki ciri khas tersendiri dengan sumber inspirasi yang berbeda-beda. Seperti batik kajang padati dari Sumatera Barat yang memiliki ciri, karakter, dan motif tersendiri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan motif dan makna motif Batik Kajang Padati. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Jenis data berupa data primer dan data sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif yaitu dengan langkah reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motif Batik Kajang Padati terdapat motif dan makna motif seperti; 1) Ornamen utama yaitu motif Rumah Gadang Kajang Padati mengandung makna bahwa upaya memperkenalkan kepada masyarakat tentang keberadaan rumah gadang kajang padati yang mempunyai bentuk berbeda dari bentuk rumah gadang pada umumnya yang saat ini sudah langka dan jarang ditemukan; 2) Ornamen pelengkap, meliputi: a) Motif Kaluak Paku melambangkan kepemimpinan di Minangkabau, b) Motif Pucuak Rabuang melambangkan keturunan, generasi penerus, c) Motif Saik Galamai melambangkan kehati-hatian dalam melakukan tindakan, d) Motif Rantai melambangkan kekuatan, e) Motif Garis Tepi Ornamen melambangkan adanya batasan, f) Motif lidah api melambangkan semangat tinggi, g) Motif Tumbuhan Melati dan Bungo Melati melambangkan kesucian, bersih, harum, h) Motif Batuang melambangkan saling membutuhkan, i) Motif padi melambangkan tidak sombong, j) Motif Tumbuhan Bingkuang melambangkan pandai mencairkan suasana, k) Motif spiral melambangkan proses kehidupan manusia, l) Motif catur melambangkan pintar berfikir strategi, m) Motif Ulek Bulu melambangkan proses kehidupan kupu-kupu, n) Motif Kawung melambangkan harapan agar manusia selalu ingat akan asal usulnya, keperkasaan dan keadilan, o) Motif Ombak Lauik melambangkan daerah pantai.Kata Kunci: motif, makna motif, batik kajang padati.Authors:Yola Meliza : Universitas Negeri PadangErnawati : Universitas Negeri Padang ReferencesAchjadi, J. Abstract

The fashion industry is undergoing a digital transformation, particularly in patternmaking, where traditional methods face limitations in efficiency, precision, and scalability. Computer-Aided Design (CAD) has emerged as a key technology, yet global research on CAD-based fashion pattern innovation remains fragmented and underexplored. This study adopts a bibliometric approach using the PRISMA protocol to systematically analyze 124 Scopus-indexed publications from 2000 to 2024. Analytical tools such as Biblioshiny (R Studio) and Microsoft Excel were employed to map research trends, contributors, citation impact, and thematic developments. Findings indicate a moderate annual growth rate of 1.7% in publications. China, the United States, and France are the most active contributors, with journals like Computer-Aided Design and Applications serving as primary outlets. Highly cited studies emphasize virtual simulation, 3D editing, and anthropometric modeling. Co-occurrence analysis reveals dominant themes such as CAD, fashion design, virtual reality, and automation, indicating strong interdisciplinary convergence. This study contributes by mapping two decades of research, identifying global collaboration patterns, and highlighting emerging topics. The results offer practical implications for curriculum development, research prioritization, and digital innovation in the fashion industry. Despite limitations in data scope and sample size, the study establishes a foundational understanding of CAD’s role in pattern innovation and calls for broader data inclusion in future research.

Abstract

The Culinary Expertise Program at SMKN 1 Luak, established in 2015, aims to equip students with professional skills for employment or entrepreneurship. However, tracer studies from 2021 to 2023 indicate that a significant number of alumni are unemployed or work outside their field, raising concerns about program effectiveness. This study employed the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model using a mixed-methods approach. Quantitative data were collected from 87 alumni through questionnaires, while qualitative insights were obtained from six purposively selected school stakeholders via semi-structured interviews. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and thematic analysis. The overall program scored 76.60%, indicating moderate appropriateness. The context dimension, including alignment with school vision and graduate needs, was rated as appropriate. The input component revealed moderate curriculum relevance and inadequate infrastructure, particularly a lack of standard practice facilities. The process evaluation showed that theory-based instruction was implemented effectively, but practical learning activities were constrained by limited resources. The product aspect received positive ratings, with most students meeting skill competency standards and obtaining certification, although graduate employment outcomes remain suboptimal. While the program meets several of its educational objectives, gaps remain in curriculum-industry alignment, infrastructure adequacy, and student motivation. Strengthening partnerships with industry, revising the curriculum to match labor market demands, and investing in hands-on learning facilities are essential to improve graduate employability and program impact.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explain and analyse the effect of KineMaster learning videos and learning styles on the learning outcomes of writing negotiating texts for the tenth grade of state Madrasah Aliyah in Lima Puluh Kota. This type of research is a quantitative research using a quasi-experimental method with a factorial design or factorial design (2x2). Data collection techniques were writing tests of negotiating texts. The research sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out descriptively by testing normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing. The results showed 3 things. First, learning through KineMaster learning videos is better than teaching through videos sourced from Youtube. Second, there is a significant difference between the results of learning to write negotiating texts between students who are grouped with learning styles and students who are not grouped with learning styles. Third, there is a significant interaction between KineMaster learning videos and learning styles on the results of writing negotiating texts. Therefore, it can be concluded that KineMaster learning videos and learning styles affect students' learning outcomes in writing negotiating texts.
