Abstract

Moringa olifera merupakan tumbuhan yang kaya akan kandungan zat gizi maupun fitokimia. Tujuan dari penilian ini untuk mengetahui profil sel timusit CD4+CD8+ mencit yang diinfeksi Salmonella thypi setelah diberi ekstrak daun M. oleifera. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental laboratorik menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap faktorial. Mencit dibagi menjadi 2 grub yaitu grub non infeksi (diberi ekstrak daun M. oleifera dosis 0 mg/kg BB, 14 mg/kg BB, 42 mg/kg BB  dan 84 mg/kg BB) dan mencit yang diinfeksi S. thypi (diberi ekstrak daun M. oleifera dosis 0 mg/kg BB, 14 mg/kg BB, 42 mg/kg BB  dan 84 mg/kg BB). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian ekstrak daun M. oleifera dapat meningkatkan jumlah sel timosit CD4+CD8+ pada kelompok mencit non infeksi maupun pada kelompok mencit diinfeksi S. thypi. Peningkatan tertinggi jumlah sel timusit CD4+CD8+ terlihat pada pemberian ekstrak daun M. oleifera dosis 84 mg/kg BB.

Abstract

Pinus was known to produce allelopathic substances that could inhibit the growth of other plants. However, some types of plants classified on the ground cover have been the ability to survive in that condition. The ground cover has an important role because it can improve soil quality. The aims of this study are to determine the structure of plant composition, soil macrofauna, and the relationship of soil macrofauna with soil organic content. The research was implemented in Wana Nature Bedengan, district Dau-Malang and Ecology Laboratory of Brawijaya University-Malang. The research was performed on four areas of ground cover each on area ​​pinus-ayapana, pinus-semanggi gunung, pinus-rumput gajah, and orange garden. The data was collected by direct observation and sampling. The Data was analyzed by using the Importance Value Index (INP) and diversity index (HI). The results of the composition of plant structure on some types in the ground cover pinus forest area and orange garden including; a). Pinus-Ayapana area was dominated by Ayapana triplinervis, Oxalis triangularis, and Mimosaceae, b). Pinus-Semanggi Gunung was dominated by Oxalis triangularis, Mimosa pudica, and Poaceae, c). Pinus-Rumput gajah area was dominated by Pennisetum purpureum, Cyperus rotundus and Artimesia sp, d). The orange garden area was dominated by Asteraceae, Comelinna defuses, dan Kylinga monocephala. The composition of soil macrofauna structure on some types in the ground cover pinus forest area and orange garden including; a). Pinus-Ayapana area was dominated by Collembola, Formicidae, Gastropoda dan Araneidae, b). Pinus-Semanggi Gunung was dominated by Oligochaeta, Chilopoda, dan Formicidae, c). Pinus-Rumput Gajah area was dominated by Oligochaeta and Formicidae, d). Orange garden area was dominated by Formicidae, Gastrophoda, and Oligochaeta. The high diversity of soil makrofauna positively correlated with soil organic content. Keyword : Macrofauna, Ground cover, Pinus forest area, Orange garden Abstrak: Pohon pinus diketahui menghasilkan zat allelopati yang dapat menghambat pertumbuhan tanaman lain. Namun beberapa jenis tanaman yang tergolong vegetasi penutup memiliki kemampuan bertahan kondisi tersebut. Vegetasi penutup memiliki peran penting karena dapat meningkatkan kualitas tanah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui struktur komposisi tumbuhan, makrofauna tanah dan hubungan makrofauna tanah dan kandungan organik tanah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Wana Wisata Alam Bedengan, Kec. Dau-Malang dan di Laboratorium Ekologi Universitas Brawijaya Malang. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada empat area vegetasi penutup yang meliputi area pinus-ayapana, pinus-semanggi gunung, pinus-rumput gajah dan kebun jeruk. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara pengamatan dan pengambilan sampel secara langsung. Analisis data menggunakan indeks nilai penting (INP) dan indek diversitas (HI). Hasil komposisi struktur tumbuhan pada beberapa jenis vegetasi penutup di area hutan pinus dan kebun jeruk meliputi; a). Area Pinus-ayapana didominasi oleh tanaman Ayapana triplinervis, Oxalis triangularis, dan Mimosaceae, b). Area Pinus-semanggi gunung didominasi oleh Oxalis triangularis, Mimosa pudica, dan Poaceae, c). Abstract

Typhoid fever is caused by Salmonella typhi infection, and it is a still problem in many developingcountries, including Indonesia. Typhoid fever occurs due to T cells, immune system, especially CD4+ andCD8+ T cells, are deficient. This condition can cause S. thypi infects human body cells . The study aim wasto evaluate profile CD4+ and CD8+ T cells in mice spleen (Mus musculus) infected with  S. thypi afterinducted with aqueous leaf extract of horseradish tree. An experimental laboratory studiy was conductedusing completely factorial randomized design. Mice were divided into two groups, ie non infection group(induced with aqueous leaf extract of horseradish tree, at dose 0 mg/kg BW, 14 mg/kg BW, 42 mg/kg BWand 84 mg/kg BW) and infection group, the Micewere infected with S. thypi (induced with aqueous leafextract of horseradish tree, at dose 0 mg/kg BW, 14 mg/kg BW, 42 mg/kg BW and 84 mg/kg BW). The resultshowed that aqueous leaf extract of horseradish tree increased the number CD4+  of and CD8+ T cells  in allgroups of mice in conclusion administration of aqueous leaf extract of horseradish tree at high dose havecauses immunosuppressive in immune system. Aqueous leaf extract of horseradish tree have aimmunostimulatory and immunosuppressive functions in CD4+ and CD8+ T cells.

Abstract

Pembelajaran abad ke-21 menuntut peserta didik mampu merancang dan mengembangkan pengalaman belajar baik secara manual maupun digital untuk mendorong peseta didik agar memiliki keterampilan berpikir kreatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap keaktifan belajar dan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa di MA Al- Mujtama’ Pamekasan. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswi kelas X MA Al-mujtama’ Pamekasan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan rancangan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain nonequivalent protes-postes control group. Uji hipotesis yang digunakan adalah uji ANCOVA (Analysis of Covariance; a = 0,05) dengan menggunakan SPSS versi 26. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) ada pengaruh signifikan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap keaktifan belajar siswa, dengan signifikansi sebesar 0,000 0,05, dan 2) ada pengaruh signifikan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa, dengan signifikansi sebesar 0,000 0,05.

Abstract

Today's education requires students to manage their learning independently, so that students can set learning goals, set strategies, and even evaluate learning, so that students' understanding of concepts increases. This is related to the learning model used, one of which is guided inquiry. This study aims to determine the influence of guided inquiry on the understanding of the concept of evolution. This study is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental research design with a non-equivalent pretes-postes control group design The subjects in this study are students of class XII IPA MA Miftahul Ulum Bettet Pamekasan even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. Class XII Science B is an experimental class with 32 students, while class XII Science C is a control class with 31 students. Sampling was carried out by random sampling technique. The hypothesis test in this study uses the Unpaired T Test. The results showed that there was no influence of guided inquiry on the understanding of the concept of evolution. However, guided inquiry remains a reference for a learning model that can empower a variety of skills for students. Researchers should then consider the factors of student readiness, especially in student habits and learning styles, time factors, and teachers or researchers should have mastered the learning model to be used.

Abstract

Penyediaan sumber daya pengajaran yang lebih luas dan inovatif seperti modul pembelajaran sangat penting untuk mencapai hasil pembelajaran yang efektif terutama di sekolah berbasis pondok pesantren. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan modul keanekaragaman hayati berbasis inkuiri terbimbing untuk kelas X MA di lingkungan sekolah berbasis pondok pesantren. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model 4-D (define, design, development, dan dissemination). Validasi dilakukan oleh satu ahli materi, satu ahli desain, dan satu guru biologi. Responden terbatas hanya terdiri dari enam siswa kelas X IPA MA Miftahul Ulum Bettet Pamekasan tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner checklist menggunakan rating scale dan dilakukan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan modul memperoleh nilai dengan kriteria layak, dari segi materi (72,34%), segi desain (91,12%), guru biologi (83,33%), dan respon siswa (84%). Dengan ini, modul keanekaragaman hewan berbasis inkuiri terbimbing layak digunakan di sekolah berbasis pondok pesantren.

Abstract

Pengembangan bahan ajar yang inovatif dan menarik sangat penting dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menguji buku saku biologi berbasis model ADDIE yang praktis dan menarik bagi siswa kelas XI SMA. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE, yang melibatkan tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Produk akhir divalidasi oleh ahli materi dan media, serta diuji pada kelompok siswa melalui desain One Group Pretest-Posttest. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa buku saku memiliki kelayakan yang baik dengan skor 78% dari ahli materi dan 73% dari ahli media. Uji coba pada siswa menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam minat baca, dengan skor rata-rata meningkat dari 16,5 menjadi 25,1 (p < 0,001). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa buku saku biologi berbasis model ADDIE efektif dalam meningkatkan minat baca siswa. Buku saku ini diharapkan menjadi bahan ajar alternatif yang mendukung pembelajaran mandiri dan meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses belajar. Development of an ADDIE-Based Biology Pocket Book to Enhance Reading Interest among Eleventh-Grade High School Students Abstract Innovative and engaging instructional materials are crucial in enhancing students’ interest in learning. This study aimed to develop and evaluate an ADDIE-based biology pocket book designed to be practical and appealing for eleventh-grade high school students. The Research and Development (R&D) approach was applied using the ADDIE model, encompassing need analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The final product was validated by subject and media experts and tested on a group of students using a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. Validation results indicated high feasibility with scores of 78% from the subject expert and 73% from the media expert. Testing on students showed a significant increase in reading interest, with the average score rising from 16.5 to 25.1 (p < 0.001). These findings suggest that the ADDIE-based biology pocket book effectively enhances students’ reading interest. The pocket book is expected to serve as an alternative instructional material that supports independent learning and boosts student engagement in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop an effective biology learning module based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) for Kingdom Plantae, tailored to the educational needs of students in Islamic boarding school environments. The methodology employed was the Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4-D model, encompassing the stages of definition, design, and Development, including validation by subject matter and media experts and readability evaluations by teachers and students. The validation results indicated high content and presentation viability, with overall validation scores of 95.74% from subject matter experts and 91.93% from media experts. Positive feedback was also received from teachers and students, suggesting the module's suitability and effectiveness in enhancing material comprehension. The primary limitations include the coverage of only one topic and the need for improvements in presentation techniques and graphic design.

Abstract

Biology education at the secondary school level plays a crucial role in shaping students' understanding of scientific concepts related to life. One of the main challenges in biology learning is the low level of students’ conceptual understanding, which can impact their critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. This study aims to examine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on students' understanding of biology concepts. The subjects of the study were students from class X-A Science and X-B Science at MA Miftahul Ulum Nagasari Congkop Tlambah, Karang Penang, Sampang, during the second semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, specifically using the non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The instruments used are the Student Worksheet (LKPD), test devices (pretest and posttest), and observation sheets for the implementation of PBL syntax. The data analysis used is inferential statistics with parametric statistical techniques. Students’ conceptual understanding of biology was measured using a scoring rubric based on the revised Bloom’s Taxonomy by Anderson & Krathwohl, integrated into a written test. Data analysis was conducted using Quade’s Rank test with the help of SPSS version 28.00. The results showed that the PBL model had a significant effect on students' understanding of biology concepts, with an effect size of 0.299.
