Abstract

This research aims at analyzing the spread information level of “Children Special Protection” (CSP) program to children-street community in Makassar and on how its information to influence their behavior like as to emerge consciousness for no goes down the street. This research aims also to analyze obstructions of the spread information of CSP program for children-street in Makassar. The method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative method by watching children-street in their living, their interaction, and tries to know their interpretation to surrounding world. The research informant uses snowball method and the key informant chosen by taking the intentional (purposive). Beside the observation activity, the collected data uses also deep-interview with informant and key informant, and analyses to spread information activities that executes by Dinas Sosial. The result of this research shows that the concept of the spread information of CSP in Makassar is not covering the substantive of field problem. The chosen communicator, arrange and message presentation, a chosen and media planning, and chosen and understand to people target by Dinas Sosial Pemkot Makassar is not yet executed well, adopted information process is inclined to the  perception only. Its information estimates to needless and the other influence factor is lower education level, which has children-street.

Abstract

Abstract Public figures are representative of the community itself because he was acting on behalf of the public or opinion leaders in his name so that people become essential for the police in carrying out its role as protector and waiter society. The aim of the research was to determine the opinion of public figures on the roles of police as protectors, paragons, and servants of community in the conflict prone areas of Makassar City. The research was conducted in Makassar District and Tamalate District. The data were presented qualitatively in narrative forms. The methods of obtaining the data were observation and interview and other relevant data. The results of the research indicate that the opinion of public figures on the roles of police as protectors, paragons, and servants of community are manifested when they are overcoming and guarding against conflicts. The protection perceived by community is their actions to drive the community who are conflicting and guard on-site brawl, while the form of service perceived by the community is quick response from the police based on the report from the community. The opinion from public figures is the main reference to fulfill the need of police force especially related to the fulfillment of facilities supporting polices tasks in the field. It is also initial information in investigating the root of conflict among groups in the society which has implications on the actions of professional and accountable police force.Abstrak Tokoh Masyarakat merupakan representatif dari masyarakat sendiri karena dia bertindak mewakili masyarakat atau mengatasnamakannya sehingga opini tokoh masyarakat menjadi hal yang esensi bagi kepolisian dalam melaksanakan perannya sebagai pelindung, Pengayom dan Pelayan mayarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui opini tokoh masyarakat terhadap peranan polisi sebagai pelndung, pengayom, dan pelayan masyarakat di daerah rawan konflik Kota Makassar. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Makassar dan Kecamatan Tamalate, Kota Makassar. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi dan wawancara. Data dianalisis secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa opini toko masyarakat terhadap peranan polisi sebagai pelindung, pengayom, dan pelayan masyarakat diwujudnyatakan dalam kehadirannya pada saat mengatasi ataupun mencegah terjadinya konflik. Bentuk perlindungan yang dirasakan masyarakat adalah tindakan polisi menghalau warga yang bertikai dan melakukan penjagaan di lokasi tawuran. Bentuk pengayoman diaplikasikan dengan memberikan pembinaan kepada warga, baik orang tua maupun anak muda di wilayah rawan konflik. Adapun bentuk pelayanan dapat dirasakan dengan respon yang cepat polisi terhadap laporan masyarakat. Opini tokoh masyarakat menjadi referensi utama dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan lemabaga kepolisian, khususnya terkait pemenuhan akan fasilitas yang menunjang tugas kepolisian di lapangan. Selain itu, merupakan informasi awal dalam menemukan akar maslah konflik antarkelompok di masyarakat, yang tentunya berimplikasi terhadap tindakan kepolisian yang profesional dan akuntanbel.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine (a) to describe emotional behavior of kindergarten children in the district. Biringkanaya Makassar, (b) to describe communication between teachers and parents of kindergarten children in the district. Biringkanaya Makassar and (c) to determine control of the emotional behavior of kindergartners through communication between teachers and parents In the district Biringkanaya Makassar.This study is an ex- post-facto quantitative, where the population is around the kindergarten students in the district. Biringkanaya Makassar of 1,779 children in 79 institutions spread kindergarten in 7 (seven) wards. With the sampling method, then selected 84 children as respondents in this study. The relationship between the independent variables were analyzed by using Simple Linear Regression Analysis. The results showed that (a) the childs emotional behavior of the most prominent forms of aggressiveness is tempered (80,36%), anxiety is crying (48,21%), withdrawal is not much to say (48,21%) as well as excessive fear is the fear of meeting a stranger (36,31%) (b) communication media is most often used in solving problems of emotional behavior children are face to face, and (c) intensive communication negatively correlated with childrens emotional behavior, which means more intensive communication, the more reduced (controlled) the childs emotional behavior. Approximately 32.8% of control childrens emotional behavior is caused by factor intensity of communication between teachers and parents to discuss the childs emotional behavior problems in kindergarten Biringkanaya MakassarAbstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (a) mengetahui gambaran perilaku emosional anak TK di Kec. Biringkanaya Kota Makassar, (b) mengetahui gambaran komunikasi antara guru dengan orang tua anak TK di Kec. Biringkanaya Kota Makassar dan (c) mengetahui pengendalian perilaku emosional anak TK melalui komunikasi antara guru dengan orang tua di Kecamatan Biringkanaya Kota Makassar. Penelitian ini merupakan eks-post-fakto yang kuantitatif. Populasinya adalah seluruh murid TK di Kecamatan Biringkanaya Kota Makassar sebesar 1.779 anak yang menyebar pada 79 lembaga TK di 7 (tujuh) kelurahan. Sampel penelitian ini 84 orang anak sebagai responden. Hubungan antara variabel bebas dianalisis dengan menggunakan Analisis Regresi Linier Sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (a) perilaku emosional anak bentuk agresivitas yang paling menonjol adalah marah (80,36%) , kecemasan adalah menangis (48,21%), menarik diri adalah tidak banyak bicara (48,21%) serta takut berlebihan adalah takut bertemu orang asing (36,31%) (b) media komunikasi yang paling sering digunakan dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan perilaku emosional anak adalah tatap muka serta (c) intensif komunikasi berkorelasi negatif dengan perilaku emosional anak, yang artinya semakin intensif komunikasi , maka semakin berkurang (terkendali) perilaku emosional anak. Sekitar 32,8% pengendalian perilaku emosional anak disebabkan oleh faktor intensitas komunikasi antara guru dengan orang tua dalam membicarakan permasalahan perilaku emosional anak di TK Biringkanaya Kota Makassar.

Abstract

Abstrak Interpersonal communication involves the exchange of verbal and non-verbal messages that can directly affect the sender and recipient of the message. The context of interpersonal communication can be applied to opinion leaders and minority groups in direct interaction. Relationship between opinion leaders and minority groups have differences in religion, beliefs, culture, and customs can be applied through open interpersonal communication, empathy, and equality. The goal is to maximize the role and opinion leader function of the majority group, namely the Toraja ethnic group in interacting with the Bugis ethnic minority group of Makassar for social harmonization in a multicultural and multiethnic society. The research method approaches the constructivism paradigm. Methods of data collection through Focuss Group Discussion, observation, and in-depth interviews. Furthermore, the data collected in the analysis uses a qualitative approach to generalize the conclusions of the results of data analysis inductively. Informants were determined through purposive sampling based on high opinion leader interaction levels with individuals or groups outside their ethnicity, with the aim that the informants interviewed had a wealth of insight and extensive knowledge about ethnic opponents, and had experience of associating with individuals or groups outside their ethnicity. 3 informants were chosen in Toraja Regency and 3 in Makassar City, and 7 Bugis Ethnic Makassar who interacted directly with opinion leaders and the community in the majority group. The results of the study found that interpersonal communication was carried out by open opinion leaders, empathy, and equal attitudes. Opinion leader applies the concept of interpersonal communication with minority groups through interpersonal communication skills, such as the ability to imitate, identification skills, and the ability of sympathy with minority groups dominated by ethnic Bugis Makassar and the majority group dominated by ethnic Toraja. The obstacle factor of interpersonal communication between opinion leaders and minority groups is first, barriers to the status effect, perceptual distorsion barriers, and barriers to cultural differences on minority groups that have different cultures, religions and social environments.

Abstract

Komunikasi sosial memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk perilaku sosial dan hubungan antarindividu di berbagai konteks sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran komunikasi sosial dalam proyek "Kawan Inspirasi Kendari" di Sulawesi Tenggara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan interaksi dan hubungan sosial antara masyarakat Kendari serta menginspirasi mereka untuk berbagi ide, pengalaman, dan pengetahuan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi survei dan wawancara terhadap peserta proyek dan masyarakat setempat yang terlibat dalam "Kawan Inspirasi Kendari". Data yang dikumpulkan kemudian dianalisis untuk mengidentifikasi pola komunikasi yang terjadi, saluran komunikasi yang digunakan, serta dampak terhadap keterlibatan sosial dan kualitas interaksi di komunitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa "Kawan Inspirasi Kendari" berhasil menciptakan platform komunikasi yang memfasilitasi pertukaran gagasan dan pengalaman positif antara masyarakat. Media sosial, pertemuan komunitas, dan lokakarya interaktif terbukti menjadi saluran efektif untuk berbagi informasi dan meningkatkan keterlibatan sosial. Interaksi melalui proyek ini juga memperkuat hubungan antara anggota komunitas dan meningkatkan kesadaran akan isu-isu sosial yang relevan. Penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman yang lebih dalam tentang pentingnya komunikasi sosial dalam menginspirasi dan membangun hubungan di dalam masyarakat. Implikasi temuan ini dapat digunakan untuk mengembangkan penelitian serupa di tempat lain dan meningkatkan efektivitas komunikasi sosial dalam upaya membangun hubungan yang harmonis dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat di Sulawesi Tenggara.

Abstract

Personal branding "Indo’ botting" merupakan fenomena yang menarik dalam industri kecantikan di Sulawesi Selatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor pembentuk personal branding "Indo’ botting" dalam media sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis SWOT yang akan digunakan sebagai kerangka kerja untuk menganalisis data dari wawancara dan analisis konten media sosial. Ini akan membantu mengidentifikasi kekuatan internal (Strengths), kelemahan internal (Weakness), peluang eksternal (Opportunities), dan ancaman eksternal (Threats) yang mempengaruhi personal branding "Indo’ botting." Informan dalam penelitian ini akan dipilih secara purposive (berdasarkan pertimbangan tertentu) dengan jumlah narasumber yang memadai untuk mendapatkan informasi yang kaya dan beragam. Sedangkan analisis data menggunakan analisis tematik dan analisis konten media sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kekuatan internal, seperti keahlian dalam kecantikan tradisional Bugis, konten menarik, dan interaksi emosional dengan pengikut, merupakan kunci keberhasilan personal branding "Indo’ botting." Selain itu, peluang pasar untuk layanan pernikahan adat Bugis dan ancaman persaingan di lingkungan digital juga mempengaruhi strategi personal branding. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan bagi para pelaku bisnis dan praktisi pemasaran untuk memanfaatkan potensi media sosial dalam membangun dan mengoptimalkan personal branding "Indo’ botting" di Sulawesi Selatan

Abstract

Prevalensi jumlah penderita PTSD di dunia mencapai jumlah 200 juta penderita sedangkan berdasarkan data Survei Kesehatan Mental Nasional Indonesia menyatakan bahwa sekitar 2,45 juta remaja mengalami gangguan mental di mana 0,5% dari total penderita PTSD setara dengan 12,250 remaja di Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui motivasi penderita PTSD melakukan konseling ke psikolog, mengidentifikasi proses konseling yang dilakukan oleh penderita dan psikolog. Metode Penelitian menggunakan kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus terhadap psikolog yang pernah menangani penderita PTSD usia 17 tahun ke atas di Lembaga Psikomorfosa Makassar. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dokumentasi dan studi pustaka yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa remaja penderita PTSD yang melakukan konseling dikarenakan mengalami gejala PTSD dan berupaya untuk meminimalisir disonansi kognitif yang dialaminya. Komunikasi terapeutik yang dilakukan oleh psikolog melalui empat tahap yakni: 1) pra interaksi, 2) perkenalan atau orientasi, 3) kerja dan 4) terminasi atau pemulihan akhir.

Abstract

This research is driven by the urgent need to understand how effective communication approaches can contribute to the success of educational programs for street children, a group often neglected in the formal education system. Street children face various social and economic challenges that hinder their access to quality education. Therefore, understanding the factors that encourage their involvement in learning programs is a crucial step toward addressing educational inequality. In this study, social exchange theory is used as a framework to assess how interactions and social relationships between educators and street children can create a conducive learning environment. The number of street children showing the success of the Komunitas Peduli Anak Jalanan (KPAJ) in regularly mentoring around 170 street children. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research findings indicate that there are five principles of effective communication: Respect is fundamental in this approach, as children feel respected as individuals with voices and rights; Empathy involves community members striving to understand the feelings, experiences, and perspectives of street children; Audible entails the use of a voice that can be clearly heard and understood by the children; Clarity refers to the ability to convey messages clearly and understandably, which is key to building meaningful and productive relationships; and Humility creates an environment that empowers street children to feel heard and valued. Abstract

Education coastal communities still need serious attention, because girls do not become a priority for continuing education. Assuming that the boy would become head of the family, in charge of the family and became a central figure in the family community. The family is the central point to provide gender equality for girls to pursue higher education is equal to boys through family communication approach. The purpose of this study was to understand the communication strategy of the family in promoting gender equality for girls in the coastal areas. The research method used mixed-method research that combines qualitative and quantitative research. Sources of data become the subject of research are the parents and the girls, then the data through observation, interviews, and questionnaires.Research shows that family communication strategy to promote gender equality girls in coastal areas is the context of communication between parents and children as an effort to change cultural stereotypes of ethnic Bugis and poverty. Family communication strategy refers to the communication patterns of openness, empathetic attitude, supportive attitude, a positive attitude and the attitude of equality in communication of family members for the sake of equality and fairness girls. Based family communication strategy for the achievement of gender equality more viable livelihoods and improving the welfare of poor families living on the coast of South Sulawesi.Pendidikan masyarakat pesisir masih memerlukan perhatian serius, dikarenakan anak perempuan tidak menjadi proritas untuk melanjutkan pendidikan. Asumsi bahwa anak laki-laki menjadi kepala keluarga, penanggung jawab keluarga dan menjadi figur sentral dalam komunitas keluarga. Keluarga merupakan titik sentral untuk memberikan kesetaraan gender bagi anak perempuan untuk melanjutkan pendidikan tinggi setara dengan anak laki-laki melalui pendekatan komunikasi keluarga. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memahami strategi komunikasi keluarga dalam meningkatkan kesetaraan gender bagi anak perempuan di daerah pesisir. Metode penelitian menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif. Metode kualitatif jenis studi kasus (case study).Sumber data sekaligus subjek penelitian adalah orang tua dan anak perempuan.  Selanjutnya teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan kuesioner. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi komunikasi keluarga untuk meningkatkan kesetaraan gender anak perempuan di kawasan pesisir pantai merupakan konteks komunikasi antara orangtua dan anak sebagai upaya perubahan stereotipe budaya etnik Bugis dan faktor kemiskinan. Strategi komunikasi keluarga merujuk pada pola komunikasi keterbukaan, sikap empatik, sikap mendukung, sikap positif dan sikap kesetaraan dalam berkomunikasi anggota keluarga demi kesetaraan dan keadilan anak perempuan.  Strategi komunikasi keluarga berbasis keadilan gender untuk pencapaian penghidupan yang lebih layak dan peningkatan kesejahteraan hidup keluarga miskin di pesisir pantai Sulawesi Selatan. Education coastal communities still need serious attention, because girls do not become a priority for continuing education. Abstract

Abstrak: Interaksi sosial antaretnis di Indonesia seringkali dihadapkan pada tantangan komunikasi yang dipengaruhi oleh perbedaan bahasa, budaya, dan norma sosial. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana akomodasi komunikasi dan konvergensi nilai budaya terjadi dalam interaksi sosial antara komunitas etnis Makassar dan Gorontalo di Kota Gorontalo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, menggabungkan wawancara mendalam dan pengamatan partisipatif untuk mengumpulkan data dari individu yang aktif dalam interaksi antaretnis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun terdapat perbedaan bahasa dan praktik budaya, proses akomodasi komunikasi terjadi secara dinamis melalui konvergensi gaya bahasa dan penghormatan terhadap norma lokal, sehingga memungkinkan terciptanya hubungan sosial yang harmonis dan inklusif. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap pemahaman teori Akomodasi Komunikasi dan mengonfirmasi peran strategi komunikasi adaptif dalam membangun kohesi sosial di komunitas multietnis. Manfaat penelitian ini terletak pada rekomendasi praktisnya untuk meningkatkan efektivitas komunikasi antarbudaya di wilayah yang beragam etnis. Abstract: Interethnic social interactions in Indonesia often face communication challenges influenced by differences in language, culture, and social norms. This study aims to examine how communication accommodation and cultural value convergence occur in social interactions between the Makassar and Gorontalo ethnic communities in Gorontalo City. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study design, combining in-depth interviews and participatory observation to collect data from individuals actively involved in cross-ethnic interactions. The findings reveal that despite language and cultural differences, the process of communication adaptation occurs dynamically through the convergence of language styles and respect for local norms, enabling the creation of harmonious and inclusive social relationships. These findings contribute significantly to the understanding of Communication Accommodation Theory and affirm the role of adaptive communication strategies in fostering social cohesion in multiethnic communities. The practical benefits of this research lie in its recommendations for enhancing the effectiveness of intercultural communication in regions with ethnic diversity.
