Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of the work environment, organizational culture, and leadership style on employee work discipline at Apac Inti Corpora. A quantitative approach was used, with a questionnaire distributed to 279 employees selected as the sample, calculated using the Slovin formula with a 5% margin of error, from a population of 2,514 employees. The sampling technique applied was random sampling to ensure that the selection process was random and representative of the entire population. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS 25 software to examine the relationship between the three independent variables and one dependent variable. The leadership style variable specifically assesses staff perspectives on their supervisor's leadership style. The results of the study show that the work environment does not have a significant positive impact on work discipline. However, organizational culture and leadership style were found to have a significant positive effect on employee work discipline. Specifically, these findings indicate that a conducive work environment, supportive organizational culture, and effective leadership style can enhance employees' work discipline in performing their roles and responsibilities.

Abstract

Background: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a progressive condition that leads to a permanent decline in kidney function. The primary treatment for CKD patients is hemodialysis; however, this procedure has the potential to impact their quality of life. Physical activity plays a significant role in supporting the improvement of quality of life among patients undergoing hemodialysis. Unfortunately, many of them face physical limitations and experience fatigue, which ultimately results in low levels of physical activity. Objective: This study aims to analyze the relationship between the level of physical activity and quality of life among CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis at Sentra Medika Hospital Cikarang. Methods: Using a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, this study involved 65 participants selected through accidental sampling. Respondents filled out the IPAQ and KDQOL questionnaires to measure the variables studied. The collected data were analyzed using the Chi-square test to determine the relationship between physical activity and quality of life. Results: The majority of participants in this study exhibited light to moderate levels of physical activity. Statistical analysis revealed a significant association between physical activity levels and patients’ quality of life, with a p-value of 0.000. A better quality of life tended to be found among patients who engaged in higher-intensity physical activity. Conclusion: The quality of life of hemodialysis patients can be improved through the significant role of physical activity. Therefore, educational efforts and appropriate interventions should be provided to encourage patients to remain physically active in order to support their overall well-being

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises or MSMEs have a very important role for the survival of the economic sector in Indonesia. However, as the development of MSMEs, followed by a series of problems that arise. One of them is the problem of sales, business people have difficulty in determining the number of product sales in the future so that there is often an accumulation of raw materials or unsold products. This study aims to help MSMEs optimize raw material management by predicting product sales using the XGBoost Regressor Algorithm. Recently, the algorithm is very famous in the competition because of its reliability and no one has applied it to predict MSME product sales. Based on several other studies, this algorithm is accurate in predicting a value, such as predicting stock prices and the number of accidents in Bali, Indonesia. This research uses historical product sales data and weather data consisting of air temperature and relative humidity in Semarang Indonesia to train and evaluate the performance of the model. The prediction model was performed with predetermined variables and resulted in MAE 3.0752730568649156, MSE 38.25842541629838, and RMSE 6.185339555456788. In the end, it is concluded that the model built with XGBoost Regressor has a low error rate so that it can accurately predict the sales of an MSME product and optimize the management of raw materials for related products.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of employer branding and digital capability on turnover intention, with employee engagement serving as a mediating variable, in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Central Java Province. The research design uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory research method. The research sample consists of 205 SMEs employees selected using purposive sampling techniques with criteria of a minimum of six months of service and active use of digital technology in their work. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that employer branding has a positive effect on employee engagement and a negative effect on turnover intention. Digital capability has a positive effect on employee engagement, but its direct effect on turnover intention is not significant. Employee engagement was found to mediate the relationship between employer branding and turnover intention, as well as between digital capability and turnover intention. These findings reinforce the relevance of Social Exchange Theory and the Resource-Based View in the context of human resource management in the SME sector, while also providing practical implications that strengthening employer branding and enhancing employees' digital competencies can reduce turnover intention.
