Abstract

Yarn commodities and textiles industries are the main export commodities of CentralJava. Nevertheless, there are still some problems. The purpose of this study was toanalyze the market share advantages and competitive position of yarn commoditiesand textile industries of Central Java in the world market. Acceleration Ratio (AR)and Trade Specialization Index (TSI) wereused to analyze the export competitivenessof yarn commodities and textile industries. The results obtained indicate that ARofthe exportof yarn commodities and textile industries in Central Java was greaterthan 1 (AR> 1). TSI of yarn commodities and textile industries in Central Java was0.45 and had positive value. These results indicate that Central Java has a strongmarket share and likely to be a regional exporter of yarns and textile commodities inthe world market.

Abstract

Pariwisata merupakan salah satu sektor yang penting di Indonesia karena mempunyai banyak manfaat, antara lain: meningkatkan penghasilan devisa, peningkatan kesempatan keja, memperkuat posisi nerca pembayaran Indonesia, salah satu sumber pajak negara dan meningkatkan pendapatan nasional. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis atribut-atribut wisata yang harus diprioritaskan sehingga wisatawan merasa puas melalui respon wisatawan terhadap atribut yang diplotkan berdasarkan tingkat kepentingan dan kinerja dari atribut wisata tersebut. Responden pada penelitian ini berjumlah 100 yang merupakan wisatawan domestik. Penelitian ini dianalisis dengan Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). Hasil penelitian ini adalah atribut wisata yang memiliki tingkat kepentingan tinggi akan tetapi kinerjanya masih rendah untuk pariwisata di kota Semarang antara lain: pelayanan di tempat wisata, penanganan keluhan wisatawan , promosi, pertunjukan kesenian tradisional serta pemeliharaan dan manajemen wisata budaya asli sebagai daya tarik wisata. Dampaknya adalah atribut-atribut inilah yang perlu memperoleh prioritas tinggi untuk dikembangkan. Salah satu cara yang bias dilakukan adalah dengan peningkatan kualitas SDM pengelola obyek wisata, peningkatan promosi pariwisata kota Semarang dan peningkatan pertujukan kesenian tradisional yang mencerminkan budaya asli kota Semarang. Kata Kunci: Pariwisata, Kepuasan, Importance-Performance Analysis

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the pro and cons opinion of  foreign investment presence  in development of developing countries. In pro opinion of  foreign investment  (as well as foreign aid), foreign investment is a very positive thing, because it can fill the gap between the supply of savings, foreign exchange reserves, government revenues, and managerial expertise in recipient country with the required level of inventory to be able to achieve growth and development targets. While counter opinion say that foreign investment may lead gap.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is identifying the attributes that should be prioritized by lecturers of  Dian Nuswantoro University in the field of teaching in order to improve its performance. This study uses primary data and secondary data. Secondary data are from  the lecturers presence and student midterm grades obtained from the Central Information Systems (PSI) UDINUS in second semester of 2011/2012. Primary data obtained from questionnaires to students about student perceptions regarding lecturer performance attributes that want to be judged. Analysis tools used in this study is Fuzzy Quantification Theory I. The greatest attribute to be prioritized is response capability factors and clarity of lecturer in answering questions from the students. Lecturers need to master the material that is being taught, so if there are any questions from the students can give a satisfactory answer. Advice that can be given is in giving the tasks in the field of teaching, the academic authorities should pay attention to propriety Normal Workload Tri Dharma University, the academic authorities should consider giving the teaching assignments according to their competencies.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the relative efficiency of 25 Indonesian State Universities in the period of 2002 to 2006. The analysis used in this research was Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) with the A.T Flegg, D.O Allen, K. Field and T.W. Thurlow’s model. The input variables used were the number of staff, the number of undergraduate students and the number of postgraduate students. The output variables used were the number of undergraduate alumni and the number of postgraduate alumni. The result was there were many Indonesian state Universities which is significantly efficient in the period of 2002 to 2006.
