Abstract

Abstract. Indonesia has the greatest number of UMKM amongst any other countries in the world, and still growing. The creative industry in its own or it self have the greatest potential compared to other business industry in Indonesia. Among all of 14 sectors in creative industry, fashion industry has contributed to the economy the most. GRAN. is a fashion company that creates bag for woman students for their daily activities. To survive in fashion industry that has grew rapidly in Indonesia, GRAN. company must to find the right new product development to find right product that suitable with the willingness of the customer. For that, GRAN. company will do New Product Development Process by Pearson. So the company can meet customer’s expectation from products that GRAN. company make. This research do New Product Development Process by Pearson, only done until step 3, which Concept Development and Testing. For the next step until done will be presented in the implementation plan. The research will take place in Bandung with giving the respondents questionnaire with semi-close question to woman students in Bandung with age 18 until 23 years old. The questionnaire spread only to the customers who have bought GRAN.’s product to know what aspect to be improve in the products. And from the research know the attributes that must be fulfilled by GRAN, company to meet their customer’s expectation. Data were analyzed by descriptive quantitative and qualitative in order to obtain good research results.Keywords: Fashion Industry, New Product Development, Customer Buying Decision, Concept Development and Testing, GRAN.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kearifan lokal dipraktekkan sebagai sarana pendidikan Islam, bagaimana hidden curriculum berimplikasi terhadap perilaku santri serta berperan dalam penguatan karakter multikultural. Menggunakan metode kualitatif yang bersifat eksploratif dengan fokus  holistik yaitu place, actor dan activity. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi.  Sumber data sesuai  purpossive sampling adalah semua unsur personalia yang terlibat dalam kegiatan  pondok pesantren. Hasil penelitian diantaranya (1) kearifan lokal sebagai sarana pendidikan Islam dipraktekkan dengan menyampaikan nilai-nilai Islam melalui kegiatan budaya lokal seperti pagelaran wayang kulit, filsafat Jawa dalam kemasan bahasa yang sederhana, arsitektur masjid model Jawa yang mengutamakan keterbukaan dan kebersamaan serta upaya pelestarian budaya tradisional yang berakar pada rasa syukur kepada Tuhan. (2) Hidden curriculum berimplikasi terhadap perilaku santri  melalui wejangan dan tausiah pimpinan pondok. (3) Peranan hidden curriculum dalam penguatan karakter multikultural terlihat dari softskill santri yang menunjukkan kemampuan membangun sikap toleransi, kebersamaan dan kesetaraan.

Abstract

As a movement, majelis shalawat becomes religious phenomenon that recently flourish in Indonesia, particularly Java. It emerges as urban spirituality like majelis dzikir that previously popular among people. However majelis shalawat is dissimilar with majelis dzikir due to its characters are not sadness, sorrow, and crying; it prefer to express happiness, cheerful, and enjoying religion. These characters indicate a Healthy-minded religious phenomenon, a term which is came  originally from William James and popularized by W.H.Clark. Among many majelis shalawat groups ini Indonesia, the three most famous and biggest are Majelis Shalawat Habib Syech (Surakarta), Habib Luthfi (Pekalongan), and Maiyah Cak Nun (Yogyakarta). This research explores characteristics of majelis shalawat that indicate healthy-mindedness. Furthermore, it also discovers various motivations that lead people (jamaah) to follow the majelis shalawat. Conducting qualitative method and Psychology of Religion approach, and employing interview and observation as method for data gathering, it results several findings. First, as a religious activity, shalawatan reallydepends on the role of its charismatic leader. The charisma of Habib Luthfi, Habib Syech, and Cak Nun is the main attractive factor for jamaah to come. It ; " is because the charismatic leaders have deep understanding of religious knowledge and they also are blessed with certain talent such as beautiful voice and having good skill on music. Besides that, the leaders are often giving smart joke. Second, through shalawatan, people feel happiness and optimistic to face their life, preferring extrovert attitudes, have more free theology, and feels conducive atmosphere for their religious growth. Those are evidences that majelis shalawat has healthy-mindedness characters. Third, people motivation also in in attending majlis shalawat consist of religious escapism, strengthening solidarity and ukhuwah islamiyah, to learn more religious knowledge (thalabul ‘ilmi), and to gain religious transformation.Majelis shalawat sebagai sebuah gerakan merupakan fenomena keagamaan yang marak di Indonesia khususnya Jawa. Kehadirannya lebih sebagai spiritualitas urban namun tampil berbeda jika dibandingkan majelis dzikir yang terlebih dahulu populer. Majelis shalawat tidak menunjukkan cirri sendu, muram, dan tangisan seperti majelis dzikir, namun justru memperlihatkan cirri bahagia, senang, dan menikmati agama. Karakteristik beragama yang demikian oleh Clark dan William James disebut healthy mindedness. Dari beberapa majelis shalawat di Indonesia, tiga yang terbesar adalah Majelis Shalawat Habib Syech (Surakarta), Habib Luthfi (Pekalongan), Maiyah Cak Nun (Yogyakarta). Penelitian ini menelusuri apa saja karakteristik majelis shalawat yang merupakan indikasi healthymindedness, kemudian mengungkap pula ragam motivasi yang mendorong jamaah mengikuti majelis shalawat. Dengan menerapkan metode kualitatif dan pendekatan Psikologi Agama, dan dengan interview serta observasi sebagai alat utama pengumpulan data, penelitian ini menghasilkan beberapa temuan. Pertama, sebagai sebuah aktifitas keagamaan, majelis shalawat cukup bergantung dari peran sang tokoh utama pemimpin majelis shalawat. Karisma Habib Luthfi, Habib Syech, dan Cak Nun merupakan daya tarik terbesar bagi jamaah. Hal ini karena selain memiliki kedalaman ilmu agama, para pemimpin karismatik tersebut juga diberkahi dengan kemerduan suara dan kemampuan bermusik, bahkan humor cerdas juga sering muncul sehingga menjadi daya tarik tersendiri bagi jamaah. Kedua, dengan mengikuti majeliss halawat, jamaah merasakan kebahagiaan dan optimism dalam menatap kehidupan, mereka bersikap lebih ekstrovet, berteologi secara lebih bebas, dan merasakan situasi yang mendukung untuk perkembangan keberagamaan mereka. Hal-hal tersebut menandakan bahwa majelis shalawat memiliki karakter healthy-mindedness. Ketiga, motivasi jamaah dalam mengikuti majlis shalawat, yaitu untuk mendapatkan jalan keluar yang agamis, menguatkansilaturahim dan ukhuwah islamiyah, mencari ilmu(thalabul ‘ilmi), dan untukmencapai transformasi keagamaan.

Abstract

Recognition of the religious motives and orientations of acts of radicalism and terrorism is often preached by mass media. The religious motive in the context of Islamic radicalism is often referred to the term of jihad, it is the act of seeking Allah's blessings or Lillahi ta'ala. The motive or religious orientation in the view of Religious Psychology is called an intrinsic religious orientation, turning religion a goal of action because of religion itself. This is distinguished from the extrinsic religious orientation that makes religion as a tool for obtaining subjective goals. We aim to understand to what extent the consistency of recognition is viewed from the perspective of religious orientation theory. This is because there is often an inconsistency between claimed motives with attitude. To examine more deeply on this issue, we raised the case of the dynamics of the religious orientation of a former terrorist, Yusuf Adirama, who experienced the dynamics and religious orientation changes of a radical and terrorist into a moderate one. This research reveals that in the case of Yusuf Adirama, the meaning of jihad could change over time following his life experience. Jihad, originally interpreted as taking up arms against the enemies of God, has turned into opposing various acts of violence and helping the needy (Dhuafa) who need help, including those caused by terrorism, both for the perpetrator and victim.

Abstract

This Article discusses about religious history of individual and how it effects to individual religious orientation, attitude and behavior. The discussion of this article based on a research finding of the same topic in one of state university in Yogyakarta, which focuses on how this religious history, orientation, attitude and behaviour pertains to different religious orientation of the student, namely liberal, fundamentalist and moderate orientation. It is ver y interesting when the writer finds out that in terms of religious orientation these three groups of the students prove the same type of religious orientation. And also for some aspects of religious life, the differences of them is not quite clear cut. These findings again prove that what we assume about them can not always be proved in the reality.

Abstract

Pembelajaran di perguruan tinggi adalah pembelajaran orang dewasa yang mengantarkan pembelajar pada kehidupan nyata di masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, seyogianya pembelajaran dirancang untuk membekali pembelajar berkarya atau bekerja di dunia nyata dan dirancang sebagai adult learning. Secara umum alumni Workshop Desain Pembelajaran di Perguruan Tinggi oleh Center For Teaching Staff Development (CTSD) mengungkapkan bahwa workshop itu menyenangkan, inspiratif, dan membantu mereka untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme dosen, terutama di bidang paedagogik. Abstract

This study aims to explore how theology and culture influence the national attitude and behavior of Jews in North Sulawesi. The question arises because of Judaism teaching on Promised Land, an always-longed place by the Jews of the diaspora country. The qualitative study employs purposive sampling by using the Cross-Cultural and Religious Psychology approach. It relied on interviews from Jews prominent figures and its followers in North Sulawesi and was complemented by the non-Jews religious leader, documents, and literature. Data analysis consists of data reduction, exploration, and verification. The last step was data contextualization by combining field and library research data. The study found that Jews in North Sulawesi harbored a longing for the Promised Land, but it did not prevent the growth of their nationalism spirit and loyalty to the Republic of Indonesia. Furthermore, their firm nationalism to Indonesia, and the objective approach to the Promised Land proofing their loyalty to the Torah. This research also discovered, behind the exclusive impression of Jews, their teachings there had a very pluralist and inclusive vision. The study concludes, the assumption that Jews in North Sulawesi will face loyalty problem to the Republic of Indonesia appear unproven, because they can interpret their faith flexibly and rationally.  [Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana teologi dan budaya mempengaruhi sikap dan perilaku nasionalisme orang Yahudi di Sulawesi Utara. Pertanyaan itu muncul karena Yudaisme memiliki ajaran tentang Tanah Perjanjian, tempat yang selalu dinanti oleh orang-orang Yahudi di negara diaspora. Penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan purposive sampling dengan menggunakan pendekatan Psikologi Lintas Budaya dan Agama. Pengumpulan data mengutamakan wawancara dari tokoh-tokoh Yahudi dan pengikutnya di Sulawesi Utara dan para tokoh agama non-Yahudi, kemudian dilengkapi dengan dokumen, dan studi literatur. Analisis data terdiri dari reduksi data, eksplorasi, dan verifikasi. Langkah terakhir adalah kontekstualisasi data dengan menggabungkan data penelitian lapangan dan perpustakaan. Studi ini menemukan bahwa orang-orang Yahudi di Sulawesi Utara menyimpan kerinduan akan Tanah Perjanjian, tetapi itu tidak menghalangi pertumbuhan semangat nasionalisme dan kesetiaan mereka kepada Republik Indonesia. Lebih jauh lagi, nasionalisme mereka yang kuat terhadap Indonesia, dan pendekatan objektif terhadap Tanah Perjanjian membuktikan kesetiaan mereka kepada Taurat. Penelitian ini juga menemukan, di balik kesan eksklusif orang Yahudi, ajaran mereka di sana memiliki visi yang sangat pluralis dan inklusif. Studi ini menyimpulkan, anggapan bahwa orang Yahudi di Sulawesi Utara akan menghadapi masalah kesetiaan kepada Republik Indonesia tampaknya tidak terbukti, karena mereka dapat menafsirkan iman mereka secara fleksibel dan rasional.]

Abstract

The State Islamic University (UIN) Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang’s scientific paradigm of Integration depicted in “the tree of knowledge”, describes the non-dichotomic scientific structure, placing the Qur’an and the Hadith as the source. With the support of a set of observations, experiments, and other scientific research procedures, the values of the Qur’an and Hadith are being articulated into scientific theories and concepts to be applied in the implementation of “Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi” (Three Pillars of Tertiary Education). While State Islamic University (UIN) Sunan Kalijaga has a scientific paradigm of the “Integration-Interconnection” which originated from the critical-philosophical study of the history of science, to be implemented in contemporary context. The formulation of the scientific paradigm is conceptualized in “the cobwebs of sciences” and applied in the academic policies and management in UIN Sunan Kalijaga. The scientific paradigm of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang and UIN Sunan Kalijaga shares similarities in terms of non-dichotomous attitude towards science, either from the Islamic tradition, Western paradigm or other scientific traditions. The difference of both lies in the emphasis of paradigm formulation. While UIN Sunan Kalijaga emphasizes some aspects of integration, UIN Maliki puts the openness attitude of Islam to all kinds of science as the point of accentuation. With regard to the application of the scientific paradigm of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang and UIN Sunan Kalijaga for the development of a world-class university, according to researchers, both are potential subject to the development toward world-class university. It is due to the openness nature both have for the development of sciences and to the higher possibility of public usage of both for community development.[Paradigma keilmuan Integrasi UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang yang digambarkan dalam bentuk Pohon Ilmu menggambarkan struktur keilmuan non dikhotomis dimana Alqur ’an dan Hadis sebagai sumbernya. Dengan bantuan observasi dan eksperimen serta serangkaian prosedur penelitian ilmiah lainnya, nilai-nilai Alqur ’an dan Hadis dikembangkan menjadi teori dan konsep ilmu pengetahuan untuk kemudian diterapkan dalam dalam pelaksanaan Tri Darma Perguruan Tinggi. Sementara UIN Sunan Kalijaga memiliki paradigma keilmuan “Integrasi-Interkoneksi” yang berangkat dari telaah kritis-filosofis terhadap sejarah ilmu kemudian didialektikakan dengan konteks kontemporer. Formulasi dari paradigma keilmuan tersebut dikonsepkan dengan “jaring laba-laba keilmuan” dan diaplikasikan dalam kebijakan akademik dan manajemen di UIN Sunan Kalijaga. Kedua, Paradigma keilmuan UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang dan UIN Sunan Kalijaga memiliki persamaan pada aspek sikap non-dikotomis terhadap ilmu pengetahuan baik yang bersumber dari tradisi Islam maupun dari Barat atau tradisi keilmuan lain.Perbedaan paradigma keilmuan UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang dan UIN Sunan Kalijaga terletak pada titik tekan formulasi paradigmanya. Jika UIN Sunan Kalijaga menekankan aspek integrasi, UIN Maliki Malang lebih pada sifat keterbukaan Islam terhadap segala jenis keilmuan. Ketiga, berkaitan dengan penerapan paradigma keilmuan UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang dan UIN Sunan Kalijaga bagi pengembangan world class university, menurut hemat peneliti kedua-duanya potensial untuk dikembangkan pada World Class University. Abstract

Psychology and Religion are two essential components in Religions Psychology. In Its long history, The psychology has been dominated by pulling each other between supporters of both components, psycholog and religious scholars, to bring an emphasis on their own discipline. The paper tries to analyses the possibility of putting religious mission on it, for the discipline is said to be more psychological than religious. The analysis is based on its historical development history as well as the hopes of the era, especially the hopes from the religion as a social institution. The chance of the rise of Religious Psychology in Religion psychology will be drawn in a position in which the school of status quo faces the school of counter culture. Here, the school of counter culture is not seen as a threat for mainstream anymore; it may evev fertilize and enriche the major school.
