Abstract

This research investigates the effectiveness of using Aggregate Planning in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) industry. Through a literature review using national and international scientific journal articles from 2018-2023, this research identified three main approaches to aggregate planning: Level Strategy, Chase Strategy, and Mixed Strategy. Level Strategy maintains production levels at a constant level, using inventory as a buffer to deal with fluctuations in demand. Chase Strategy adjusts production directly to market demand, minimizing inventory and carrying costs. Mixed Strategy, a combination of Chase Strategy and Level Strategy, combines the flexibility of Chase Strategy with the stability of Level Strategy to optimize production and inventory costs. This research describes how MSMEs in the children's clothing industry implement these three strategies. In Level Strategy, production is kept at a constant level, using inventory as a buffer. In the Chase Strategy, production is matched directly to demand, reducing inventory and carrying costs. In Mixed Strategy, the combination of strategies allows flexible response to demand fluctuations, minimizing inventory costs. The calculation results show that using Mixed Strategy allows companies to optimize production, reduce inventory costs, and respond quickly to variations in market demand. The total costs during this period were the result of production costs, inventory costs, overtime costs, and worker salaries, reaching a total of IDR 124,900,000. This research provides insight into how MSMEs can utilize aggregate planning with various strategies to increase their operational efficiency and flexibility in facing market dynamics.

Abstract

Abstract

Layout arrangements are vital for improving quality, productivity and corporate image. A production requiring multiple machines and a production process flow that is too long necessitates the preparation of a detailed layout in order that there is no transfer flow movement in the production process. This study aims to make the production process has a total minimum displacement moment and increase employee performance. From the analysis conducted at PT. XYZ that produce bread shows the existence of long distance, motion behind and congestion during material handling. The result of analysis by using method from to chart shows that the distance of material transfer distance is 73, 70 meter, total frequency of material transfer 35 times and mileage with total 1,901 meter. The result of analysis using activity relationship chart where spray & seeding (J) and split machine (K) departments were moved close to proofing room 1 (H1) and proofing room 2 (H2) facility, rack & pan 1 (I1) facility was moved near With rack, tray & pan cleanning (G) area facilities and the sieving flour (B) and formula room (D) departments being moved close to the process area 2 (C2) facility.

Abstract

Determination of poor families in the poverty database is still less than perfect. There is still no multi criteria decision making (MCDM) technique in the grouping of poor families, making the results of the criteria in grouping poor families still far from expectations. So, this article discusses the use of the multi criteria decision making (MCDM) technique for grouping poor families in the poverty database in the Malang district. Fuzzy logic is one technique of MCDM which is commonly used for affirmation of decisions. In a random sampling of 35 families taken from the Malang District poverty database, the classification that was originally obtained was only obtained by 2 (two) classifications of poor families, namely: very poor families and poor families. But after it was calculated using the Fuzzy Logic method, it was found 3 (three) classifications of poor families, namely very poor families, poor families, and almost poor families. The magnitude of the distribution of the poor family classification is: 17 (seventeen) very poor families which previously were 14 (fourteen), 17 (seventeen) families were categorized as poor families that were previously 21 (twenty one), and 1 (one) family in the category of near-poor families that were not previously found. With these results, it can be concluded that the Fuzzy Logic method can and is able to provide better and more diverse results in determining poor families in the Malang District poverty database.

Abstract

The current rapid development of the times demands very high levels of activity, and of course to be able to carry out these various activities requires energy whose main source of energy is food. Currently, many students want to be more practical in consuming food, one of which is instant noodles. This research aims to determine the relationship between taste, ease of purchase and price on the level of preference of Surabaya students for consuming instant noodles. The type of research is linear regression. The population in this study were students from the city of Surabaya and the sample was 38 people. The data collection technique is carried out by filling out a questionnaire. Next, the data was analyzed via linear regression. The results of the research concluded that taste, ease of purchase and price both influence the level of student preference for consuming instant noodles. The factor that has the lowest influence on students' preference for consuming instant noodles is ease of purchase. Students' knowledge of taste and price is relatively good and the availability of instant noodles among students is quite good.

Abstract

Simulation is applied to the 9969B Printable Splicing Tape product. The ARIMA (Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average) method, which is a method that is based on the values of changes that have occurred in the past, is then used to determine historical data patterns. The aim of this research is to simulate forecasting inventory control needs for Printable Splicing Tape stock. The temporary ARIMA model is p = 8 (PACF dying down plot), d = 2 (one differencing), and q = 1. So, the temporary ARIMA model obtained is (8, 2, 1). The sales forecast for all Printable Splicing Tape products type 9969B on average per month during June-December 2023 is estimated that the average forecast for the company's Inventory Control must stock 608 rolls with a tracking error of -1 (e < 4) so it is very permissible, because it is less than quaternion.
