Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe conceptual metaphors, particularly structural metaphors, in the news about Eril Mumtazd, the son of Ridwan Kamil. The approach used in the data analysis is semantic and cognitive. The semantic approach is used to analyze linguistic units in metaphorical expressions, while the cognitive approach is employed to analyze the conceptualization of metaphors. The data for this research consists of metaphorical expressions in news about Eril's drowning in the Aare River in Switzerland, sourced from social media posts between May 26, 2022, and June 10, 2022. The data sample was collected using purposive sampling technique and classified into data cards based on the functions of conceptual metaphors, namely structural, orientational, and ontological. Data collection was conducted using the method of free observation and the advanced technique of note-taking. The data were analyzed using the congruence method, followed by basic techniques such as determinant element sorting (DES) and advanced techniques such as equivalence linkage technique (ELT). The results showed that the concept of Ridwan Kamil as a great man emerged, which can be explained by interpreting Ridwan Kamil as a great man with a similar meaning. Through structural metaphors, Ridwan Kamil is depicted as a pious, patient, strong, sincere, polite, and grateful individual.ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan metafora konseptual, khususnya metafora struktural, dalam berita mengenai Eril Mumtazd, putra dari Ridwan Kamil. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam analisis data adalah semantik dan kognitif. Pendekatan semantik digunakan untuk megurai satuan linguistik dalam ungkapan metafora. Pendekatan kognitif digunakan untuk mengurai konseptualisasi metafora. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa ungkapan metafora dalam berita hulangnya Eril di Sungai Aare Swiss yang bersumber dari unggahan berita di media sosial pada kurun waktu 26 Mei 2022 sampai 10 Juni 2022. Sampel data diambil dengan teknik pusposif yang dikumpulkan dan diklasifikasikan ke dalam kartu data berdasarkan fungsi metafora konseptual, yaitu struktural, orientasional, dan ontologis. Penyediaan data dilakukan dengan metode simak bebas libat cakap dan teknik lanjutan berupa teknik catat. Data tersebut dianalisis menggunakan metode padan diikuti dengan teknik dasar berupa teknik pilah unsur penentu (PUP) dan teknik lanjutan, yaitu teknik hubung menyamakan (HBS). Hasil yang diperoleh adalah bahwa muncul sebuah konsep Ridwan Kami adalah laki-laki hebat yang dapat dijelaskan dengan Ridwan Kamil diartikan sebagai laki-laki hebat yang memiliki makna hampir sama. Melalui metafora struktural, digambarkan bahwa Ridwa Kamil merupakan seseorang yang agamis, tabah, kuat, ikhlas, santun, dan tahu balas budi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the form of the register of fishermen in Bajomulyo Village. The research method in this study is the documentation method, namely the note-taking and recording method. The data was obtained by observing, and recording the language used by the fishermen. In this method, researchers record and record the language used by fishermen. The results of the study were in the form of a register of fishermen in Bajomulyo Village in the form of a presentation method in the study using informal data presentation, namely using ordinary words in descriptive form. Based on the results of research on fisherman register data in Bajomlyo Village, it can be concluded that the register form is divided into two linguistic units, namely words and phrases, several classifications of word classes, namely nouns, verbs, and adjectives.ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan wujud register nelayan Desa Bajomulyo. Metode penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah metode dokumentasi, yakni dengan metode simak catat dan rekam. Data diperoleh dengan cara  observasi, dan merekam bahasa yang digunakan para nelayan. Pada metode ini peneliti merekam dan mencatat bahasa yang digunakan nelayan. Hasil penelitian berupa wujud register nelayan Desa Bajomulyo dalam bentuk metode penyajian pada penelitian menggunakan penyajian data informal yaitu menggunakan kata-kata biasa dalam bentuk deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pada data register nelayan Desa Bajomlyo Kecamatan dapat disimpulkan yaitu, bentuk register di bedakan menjadi dua satuan kebahasaan yaitu kata dan frasa, beberapa klasifikasi kelas kata, yaitu nomina, verba, dan adjektiva.

Abstract

Learning Indonesian, especially writing short story texts, is an important aspect of education at the SMP/MTs level. However, this learning is often still centered on educators and does not place students as constructors of knowledge. The 2013 curriculum (K 13) aims to equip students with various skills, including short story writing skills. However, in its implementation several challenges emerged, such as students' lack of courage to express their thoughts or experiences, difficulties in organizing story plots, and inappropriate learning methods. This study aims to describe the use of the novel Dua Garis Biru by Lucia Priandarini as an auxiliary medium in applying the narrative structure model to learning to write short story texts in class IX using the paired storytelling method as a learning strategy to have a positive impact on students' short story writing skills in class IX MTS Taqwiyatul Wathon. The paired storytelling method allows students to tell stories in pairs in front of their peers, which is expected to increase students' motivation and activeness in writing short story texts. ABSTRAKPembelajaran bahasa Indonesia, khususnya menulis teks cerpen, menjadi aspek penting dalam pendidikan di tingkat SMP/MTs. Namun, pembelajaran ini seringkali masih berpusat pada pendidik dan kurang menempatkan peserta didik sebagai konstruktor pengetahuan. Kurikulum 2013 (K 13) bertujuan untuk membekali peserta didik dengan berbagai keterampilan, termasuk keterampilan menulis cerpen. Namun, dalam implementasinya beberapa tantangan muncul, seperti peserta didik kurang berani untuk mengungkapkan pemikiran atau pengalaman mereka, kesulitan dalam mengorganisasi plot cerita, dan metode pembelajaran yang belum sesuai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemanfaatan novel Dua Garis Biru karya Lucia Priandarini sebagai media bantu dalam penerapan model struktur naratif pada pembelajaran menulis teks cerpen di kelas IX dengan metode paired storytelling sebagai strategi pembelajaran untuk memberikan dampak positif keterampilan menulis teks cerpen peserta didik di kelas IX MTS Taqwiyatul Wathon. Metode paired storytelling memungkinkan peserta didik bercerita secara berpasangan di depan teman sebaya, yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan keaktifan peserta didik dalam menulis teks cerpen.

Note and documentation thenique and data presentation thechniqhu using informal presentation technique using informal presentation technique. Research show a code mixing form called code mixing  it’s word, code mixing with pharase, and code mixing it’s clausa. A drape in sarong us Gus Mifttah is populer vocabulary use in society, pupose the speaker, living habits, wants look educated and influence of the speakers creates a sense humor. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk (1) Mendeskripsikan bentuk campur kode tuturan dalam ceramah Gus Miftah, (2) Mendeskripsikan faktor campur kode tuturan dalam cermah Gus Miftah. Metode yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik simak, teknik catat dan dokumentasi dan teknik penyajian data menggunakan teknik penyajian informal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bentuk campur kode yaitu campur kode berbentuk kata, campur kode berbentuk frasa dan campur kode berbentuk klausa.. Faktor penyebab terjadinya campur kode tuturan dalam ceramah Gus Miftah yaitu penggunaan kosa kata populer di dalam masyarakat, tujuan penutur, kebiasaan tempat tinggal, ingin terlihat terpelajar dan pengaruh penutur menciptakan rasa humor.

Abstract

Journalistic knowledge serves as a robust underpinning upon which learners can refine and enhance their writing abilities, specifically in the domain of news composition. The multifaceted landscape of journalism incorporates a medley of elements that collectively contribute to the cultivation of effective writing skills. The mastery of these facets plays a pivotal role in augmenting students' proficiency in articulating their ideas cogently, engaging their audience adeptly, and ensuring the meticulous conveyance of information. Against this backdrop, the present study endeavors to explore the substantive role played by journalistic knowledge in improving students' skills in writing news. To attain the research aim, the researchers applied a correlational study to find out the correlation between journalistic knowledge and students’ skills in writing news. The participants of the study consisted of 51 students of Indonesian language and literary education at the University of PGRI Semarang. The sample was taken using a simple random sampling technique. The data were collected using tests. Based on the data analysis, there is a correlation between journalistic knowledge and students’ skills in writing news. It means that the components of journalistic knowledge such as understanding the fundamental news values such as timeliness, prominence, proximity, conflict, and human interest, have contributed to helping students in writing news.

Abstract

The study aims to describe the type and the factor behind code switching and code mixing to a story in the Webtoon application titled “Day by Bae” by HAAI from episode 1—23. The data being researched is a character dialogue in the story that contains the code switching and the code mixing. The study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The documentation method aided by note technique and data card used as data collection. Classifying all the data acquired by the type and the factor in the cause is the data analysis technique in this study. The data analysis results are explained with a descriptive using informal techniques. The form of code switching and code mixing that found in the “Day by Bae” story amounts to 164 data. The speaker, the person with whom you speak, the presence of a third person, the change from informal to formal, and the changed topic of conversation are factors that have caused the code switching. On the contrary, the speaker and the speaker’s personality, used popular terms, and being just prestigious are some of the factors behind the code mixing.
