Abstract

The trust of the congregation in the mosque management is greatly influenced by the quality of a transparent and accountable management system. Manual recording systems that are still widely used are often less effective in providing accurate, fast, and easily accessible data, especially related to cash flow information and mosque activity programs. This condition can cause unclear information that has an impact on the low active participation of pilgrims. This research offers a solution in the form of building a website-based mosque administration system that is adaptive and easy to use. System development is carried out through the stages of needs analysis, feature design, application implementation, and functional testing. The system built provides several main services, including managing worship schedules, recording income and expenditure in a structured manner, and reporting mosque activities in detail and real-time. Through the web platform, financial information and activity programs can be accessed more openly, thereby increasing transparency and accountability in mosque management. The results of the development show that this system is able to simplify the administrative process, speed up the presentation of information, and support the supervision of funds by pilgrims and administrators. Thus, a website-based administration system can be an effective solution to increase the trust of worshippers and encourage more active participation in mosque activities.

Abstract

The development of information technology provides opportunities for educators to create more efficient and interactive learning evaluation media. This study aims to design and develop a computer-based test media using Wondershare Quiz Creator as a tool to support online learning. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with a waterfall model, which includes the stages of needs analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation. The results show that the developed test media is capable of providing various types of questions, such as multiple choice, short answer, true-false, and matching, and is equipped with features such as automatic feedback, time settings, and exportable test results. User testing indicates that the media is easy to use, responsive, and effective in supporting the learning evaluation process in online learning. In addition, educators can quickly create, manage, and distribute tests through digital platforms without requiring advanced technical skills. Thus, the use of Wondershare Quiz Creator has proven to be an alternative solution for providing practical and interactive computer-based test media that supports improving the quality of online learning. This research is expected to serve as a reference for educators in utilizing technology to enhance the effectiveness of learning evaluation

Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce in Indonesia has generated a massive and continuous volume of product reviews. This user-generated content is vital for business intelligence, yet its sheer scale makes manual analysis inefficient, subjective, and practically impossible. Automated sentiment analysis is therefore crucial for businesses to efficiently understand customer feedback and market perception. This research addresses this gap by implementing the Naïve Bayes Classifier (NBC) algorithm to automatically classify the sentiment of Indonesian-language e-commerce product reviews. This study utilized a dataset of 2,000 reviews collected from a major e-commerce platform's "Electronics" category. The data underwent critical text preprocessing stages (case folding, tokenizing, stopword removal, and stemming using the Sastrawi library) to handle the complexities of informal Indonesian text. The dataset was split using an 80/20 ratio, resulting in 1,600 training reviews and 400 testing reviews. Model performance was then evaluated using a Confusion Matrix, focusing on the key metrics of Accuracy, Precision, and Recall. The test results showed excellent performance, achieving an Accuracy of 90.00%, Precision of 91.93%, and Recall of 95.00%. These results demonstrate that the Naïve Bayes algorithm, when supported by robust preprocessing, is a highly effective, reliable, and computationally efficient method for this task, providing a valuable tool for e-commerce stakeholders.

Abstract

Data mining is a technology that plays an important role in supporting data-driven decision making, especially in complex and dynamic higher education environments. In the context of education management, the ability to predict student graduation is an essential aspect because it can help institutions plan strategic steps, intervene earlier, and optimize academic resources. This study aims to apply the C4.5 decision tree algorithm to build a student graduation prediction model based on academic data. The research dataset includes key variables such as Grade Point Average (GPA), total Semester Credit Units (SKS) taken, and student attendance rates during lectures. The analysis was conducted using the C4.5 algorithm, which is known for its high level of interpretability, making the model results easy to understand by policy makers. The test results showed an accuracy of 84.6%, indicating that this method has the potential to support data-based academic management systems. These findings are expected to serve as a basis for educational institutions to improve the effectiveness of monitoring and evaluating the student learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze congregants’ interest in Islamic study sessions at Al-Ikhlas Mosque using a descriptive qualitative approach. Islamic study sessions play an essential role in enhancing religious understanding, character development, and social cohesion within the Muslim community. However, attendance levels tend to fluctuate due to various influencing factors. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation to explore the perceptions, motivations, and experiences of the congregants. The findings reveal that congregants’ interest is shaped by several key factors, including the study theme, the lecturer’s delivery method, the timing of the sessions, mosque facilities, spiritual needs, and social encouragement from the surrounding community. Based on field data, congregants’ interest can be categorized into three levels: high, moderate, and low. This research is expected to assist mosque administrators in optimizing the implementation of Islamic study sessions by adjusting themes, selecting appropriate lecturers, and improving facility convenience.

Abstract

Madrasas and Islamic boarding schools are Islamic educational institutions that have a strategic role in shaping the character, morals, and competencies of students. In addition to carrying out the formal learning process, these two institutions are also centers for moral, spiritual, and social development. In their operations, madrasas and pesantren manage various administrative activities, such as student data collection, attendance recording, grade processing, teacher data management, lesson schedule preparation, and delivery of academic information to related parties. However, many institutions still use manual systems that rely on notebooks or separate applications that are not integrated. This condition poses a number of obstacles, including the high risk of recording errors, duplicate data that is difficult to track, the slow process of recapitulation of grades and attendance, and delays in the delivery of academic information. In addition, manual processes cause administrative management to be less efficient and prone to data loss. As the need for fast, accurate, and accurate information increases, technological solutions are needed that are able to integrate all administrative and academic processes in one centralized system. Web-based information systems are an effective alternative to improve work efficiency, minimize errors, and facilitate access to information for teachers, students, and guardians. With the implementation of a well-managed system, madrasas and Islamic boarding schools are expected to improve the quality of services and support a more modern, structured, and sustainable learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to predict students’ academic performance using the Naïve Bayes algorithm. The problem arises because academic assessment processes in many universities are still carried out manually, which can lead to subjectivity and inefficiency. Several factors—such as assignment scores, quizzes, examinations, attendance, motivation, and learning activities—significantly influence student performance, yet they have not been optimally utilized in prediction processes. The methods used in this research include data collection, preprocessing, splitting the dataset into training and testing sets, and applying the Naïve Bayes algorithm to classify student performance into categories of good, fair, and poor. The results indicate that the Naïve Bayes algorithm is capable of producing sufficiently accurate predictions and can be used as a decision-support tool to help improve the quality of learning in higher education institutions

Abstract

The increasing demand for internet access at Pondok Pesantren Golden Star has supported the students’ learning process; however, uncontrolled usage may disrupt discipline, worship activities, and the daily routines within the pesantren environment. To address this issue, this study aims to design and develop an internet access time management system using Mikrotik, capable of regulating and restricting internet usage according to schedules determined by the institution. The primary objective of this research is to produce an automated and effective access control system that aligns with the policies of the pesantren. This study employs the Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC) methodology, which consists of the stages of analysis, design, simulation, prototyping, implementation, monitoring, and management. During the implementation stage, the Mikrotik configuration involved IP addressing, DHCP server setup, firewall filter rules, and time-based schedulers. The results indicate that the system successfully restricts student internet access to the period between 06:00 and 17:00, while automatically blocking access outside these hours. Testing confirms that the time-based restriction feature operates consistently and reliably, meeting the institution's requirements for fostering a more conducive environment for learning and worship. In conclusion, the Mikrotik-based internet access time management system is effective, easy to maintain, and has the potential for further development in accordance with the needs of the pesantren

Abstract

Tracer studies are an important tool for universities to evaluate the achievement of graduate profiles, the relevance of the curriculum to the world of work, and the fulfillment of accreditation data requirements. At Nahdlatul Ulama University Lampung, the tracer study process was previously carried out manually and separately using Google Forms and spreadsheets, resulting in alumni data that was not centralized, prone to duplication, and difficult to analyze. This study aims to design, develop, and test the feasibility of an integrated web-based Tracer Study Information System at Nahdlatul Ulama University Lampung. The method used is software research and development with a Waterfall model, which includes needs analysis, design using UML, system implementation with PHP Native, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and testing using Black Box Testing and user feasibility tests. The developed system provides admin and alumni login features, CRUD-based alumni data management, online tracer study questionnaire forms, data visualization dashboards using graphs, and a tracer report module equipped with filters and data export in CSV format. The Black Box testing results showed that all functions were 100% valid according to the scenario, while the feasibility test resulted in a score of 85% with a category of “Very Feasible”. Thus, the tracer study information system built is declared capable of improving the effectiveness of alumni data collection and management and supporting accreditation and quality assurance needs at Nahdlatul Ulama University Lampung.

Abstract

The development of information technology has encouraged educational institutions to make more optimal use of academic data in order to improve the quality of learning evaluation. Data such as assignment scores, quizzes, midterm exams, final exams, and student attendance are no longer just administrative archives, but can be processed using Educational Data Mining (EDM) techniques to generate new information that supports the academic decision-making process. This study aims to build a model for predicting students' final grades using the Decision Tree algorithm by utilizing these academic attributes as input variables. The research process was carried out in several stages, starting from data collection, preprocessing, data transformation, classification model formation, to performance evaluation using a confusion matrix and accuracy calculations. The results of the study show that the Decision Tree algorithm is capable of classifying students' final grades with an accuracy of 80%. Feature importance analysis reveals that final exam scores are the most influential attribute in the formation of decision tree structures, followed by midterm exam scores, while assignment, quiz, and attendance scores contribute less. These findings indicate that summative evaluation plays a dominant role in determining students' final grades. Overall, this study proves that Decision Tree is an effective classification method that is easy to interpret and highly relevant for use in the context of EDM, especially in helping schools conduct objective and data-driven student performance analysis.
