Abstract

Education in the 21st century is developing very rapidly. It can be seen from the many uses of science and technology in all the aspects of life. The development of technology also has a big impact on education. Learning cannot be separated from the assessment process. Teachers must be innovative, creative, and able to develop and use learning media that are in line with the development of science and technology. The researchers are interested in making assessment application that can be used as a medium to assist teachers in the process of grading assignment given to students. This type of research was an analysis that conducted in the context of the needs to make a skills assessment application. This research was conducted at class X of high school in Padang. The instrument used in this research was a questionnaires sheet containing positive and negative responses distributed by using the google form. The quistionnaires given have been validated by experts. The data analysis technique used was the descriptive statistical analysis. The results showed that the implementation of skill learning is not optimal epsecially on the uses of technology for students' assessment and most students lack of motivation in learning. The assignment given by teachers were still not optimal because most of the task were not related to the daily life. Then, the teacher was not optimal in giving worksheets before doing the practice. Therefore, the researcher designs the application of performance skills assessment that is equipped with worksheets based-scientific literacy

Abstract

There are several factors that affected to the low learning outcomes of student, such as the learning models, learning motivation,  and student worksheets used which were still very simple. This research aims to determine the effect of applying the discovery based learning model to the learning outcomes of class X students. Sampling was done by using purposive sampling technique obtained by class X MIA 1 as the experimental class and class X MIA 2 as the control class. There are two data collected, namely primary and secondary data. The primary data in this study were the final test results at the end of the lesson. Secondary data in this study were in the form of midterm average scores obtained from teachers and Physics administration. The data obtained was processed using the t test and correlation test. According to the results of the analysis of the data found the results of the influence of the implementation of the discovery based learning model on the knowledge aspect of 20.25% and for the skills aspect has an effect of 26% on physics learning so that the hypothesis was accepted with α significant = 0,05.

Abstract

Multiple representations are recommended for the better understanding of the concepts of physic. One of the concept that we can use is Free Body Diagram (FBD). Free body diagram is a diagram that describes all of the external forces that work on an object in x and y direction. The aim of this research is to examine the influence of the application of free body diagram towards high school students’s abylity to solve physic problems about Newton’s Law. This research used Quasi Experiment Research with Randomized Control-Group Only Design as research design. The population of this research is all of the first grade student of SMA N 14 Padang in 2017/2018 year study. The result of this study showed there is the difference of Mean between sample classes significantly. The coefficient of correlation between the application of free body diagram and high school student’s ability to solve physic problems is about 0,71. It means the correlation is strong. The determination coefficient of this research  is 51,01% or the influence of the treatment is 51,01% toward the ability of student to solve physic problems about Newton’s Law.

Abstract

In facing the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, education is needed that can form a creative, innovative, and competitive generation. This can be achieved by optimizing the use of technology as a tool in education. In terms of education, the government made improvements to the learning system, namely curriculum development. The 2013 curriculum regulates learning resources, namely books, print and electronic media. But in reality the student books used in school only contain physics material and have not been fully integrated with the dimensions of attitude, spirituality, and local context. The existing teaching materials have not included the implementation of the 2013 curriculum and are not sufficient for students to learn independently. One solution to this problem is the physics e-book based on Edupark. This study aims to produce a physics e-book based on the Edupark Hot Waterboom in South Solok using a professional flip pdf for valid high school / MA students. The type of research used is development research using the Plomp development model. The plomp model is a research design suitable for developing research-based solutions in education. The plomp model is used to develop or validate theories about the learning process. The results of the validation test are used to test the advantages of the product that has been made and as a guide in making revisions to the e-book. The average value of each assessment component in the physics e-book based on the South Solok Water Boom Edupark can be determined from the average of the four assessment components including 1) content feasibility component 2) learning design component 3) display component and 4) software utilization component. From the percentage of the four components, the results of the e-book validation instrument were obtained by three validator experts with an average percentage of 85.11% with a very valid category

Abstract

One approach suggested by the government to be applied in the learning process is a contextual approach. The contextual approach stimulates students to organize knowledge by relating it to facts in their lives. Physics studies natural phenomena with all their regularities so that it will be suitable if collaborated with a contextual approach. Implementation of contextual approaches in learning physics is determined by the textbook used. Based on the results of a survey conducted in several schools shows that textbooks used in schools come from several different publishers. Given the number of textbooks in circulation, it is necessary to know whether textbooks have been able to facilitate the application of contextual approaches in learning. The solution to this problem is to assess the extent of the second semester XII high school physics textbooks that are widely used today to facilitate the application of contextual approaches. This study aims to determine whether the presentation of high school physics textbooks for Class XII Semester 2 which is widely used today has facilitated the application of the CTL approach in learning. This type of research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach in presenting the results of research. The population in this study are all high school physics class XII textbooks used in Indonesia and circulating in West Sumatra and 2 (two) high school physics textbooks that have been assessed and determined by the ministry of education and culture. Sampling in this study with Nonprobability Sampling technique with the type of Purposive Sampling. The research data were obtained from documentation studies, namely textbooks used in learning physics. The research instrument consisted of a physics textbook presentation sheet related to the contextual approach component. The data in this study were analyzed using simple statistics, the analysis conducted on textbooks published by Yrama Widya had a percentage of 80% with the category "in accordance", textbooks published by Erlangga had a percentage of 69% with the category "in accordance", books teaching published by Grafindo Mediapratama has a percentage of 63% with the category "in accordance" and books teaching published by Tiga Srangkai has a percentage of 55% with the category "quite in accordance". The results of the research that have been carried out state that the textbooks analyzed in general have facilitated the contextual approach component in learning.

Abstract

The many technological discoveries of the 21st century require the world of education to adapt quickly. Based on curriculum 2013’s competence standards. Then it requires reinforcement of a scientific approach to add in learning. But in the fact remains that the learning model demands the 2013 curriculum and the 21st-century technology-based learning medium is not fully finish. Researchers have attempted to study using video as a learning medium in guided inquiry learning to look at the impact on learning participants. The kind of research being done is a quasi-experiment research design with the randomized research group one design. The population in this research are all public high school seniors registered in 2020/2021. Samples from this research are XI MIPA 1 as experiment class and XI MIPA 2 as control class. The research instrument consists of posttest and performance assessment sheets. The data on this research is analyzed using a two average descriptive analysis and testing similarities ate definite point 0,05 for the competence of students made up of knowledge and skill. Studies have concluded that there is an influence that means use the video in guided inquiry learning to traveling wave and sound waves in XI SMA Negeri 7 Sijunjung. It is supported by has data analysis on each knowledge and skill competence with two averages found th> ttable. At the competence knowledge, 4,824>2,002 and at skill competence 4,098>2,002 who are in the Ho rejection area means there are differenct results for the competence of knowledge and student’ skills.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine comprism of student learning outcomes between problem based learning and discovery learning model in static and dinamic fluid. The population of this research are science students in SMAN 1 Bukittinggi. There are two sample classes in this research, they are experiment class I which applies problem based learning model and eperiment II which applies discovery learning model. The result of this research that there are significant differences in physics learning putcomes between problem based learning and discovery learning model. Based the result of research, author provided some suggestion, that: 1) problem based learning and discovery learning model can both develop physics learning outcomes, but problem based learning is better, 2) in order to increase physics learning outcomes than the findings, it needs to do the next research that combine problem based learning with another teratment.

Abstract

The achievement’s competence of physic’s from the student is still slow. Some of the causes are limited implementation of the scientific approach in learning. Limited ability to think from student’s in answering questions that are creative, and limited learning resource that apply aspects of the scientific method. This study aims to produce LKS oriented scientific method’s are valid and practical to improve the achievement’s of student competence in physic lesson’s. The knowledge obtained by student’s in the form of scientific knowledge as obtained throught the steps of scientific methods.The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with the development model of ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implementation and Evaluation) which is reduce into the develop stage.  The reasearch subjects consisted of three lectures of FMIPA UNP as a validator. Three teachers of physic and one student class X MIA 5 SMA 16 Padang as a practitioner.The LKS validation test result that is 81,05% are on very valid criteria. The result of practice test result of LKS by teacher that is 88,33%  are on very practical criteria, while the result practice test by student that is 84,07% are on very practical criteria. The result of this study indicate that LKS oriented scientific method worthy of use in physic learning for SMA/MA in term’s of validity and practicality.

Abstract

The results of a introduction study in some SMA in Padang which used 2013's curriculum showed teachers use learning device still dont meet the rules of competency standards, content standards, process standards, assessment standards and competence standards. Besides that, the common learning devices are not used properly. So the achievement of knowledge competence of students dont meet expectations. This study aims to generate device learning Physics oriented to guided inquiry are suitable for use in physics learning in SMA/MA review of validity and practicalities. The type of this research is the Research and Development (R&D) ADDIE models (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate) is reduced to develop. This research included 8 experts judgment thatare 5 lecturers of Physics FMIPA UNP as validator, 3 Physics teacher as practitioner and one class of students are ten grade students of MIPA 4 SMAN 9 Padang. Data obtained are quantitative and qualitative data, the data observation and interviews, the value of knowledge documentation, and questionnaire. The average results of the validation device physics learning 83.73% in the range (0-100) in the valid criteria. While the average results of the practicalities by teachers 93.61% in the range (0-100) in the practical criteria, and the average of the practicalities of 33 students of instructional materials 80% in the practical criteria. The results of this research indicate the device learning Physics oriented to guided inquiry fit for use in physics learning in SMA/MA review of validity and practicalities.

Abstract

The development of science and technology in the 21st century is marked by the use of brain work, which is more important than muscle work which has been replaced by intelligent robots. Therefore, efforts to increase the quantity and quality of knowledge through thinking and reasoning exercises are very important to be applied in education. However, after 8 years of implementing K-13, the conditions in the field documents for teacher learning tools show that they still do not meet these expectations. This study aims to develop high school physics learning tools oriented to the revised Bloom's taxonomy on elasticity material. This research is included in Research and Development (RnD) by applying ADDIE. The stages carried out only reached the development stage (validation) which involved 3 lecturers from the Department of Physics FMIPA UNP and 3 physics teachers in Kuantan Singingi Regency as a team of experts and a team of practitioners. The results showed that the feasibility of the resulting product design for lesson plans obtained an average validation value of 82.37% (very valid), and an average validation value of 80.39% (valid). For teaching materials, the average result of lecturer validation is 86.49% (very valid), and the average value of teacher validation is 87.87% (very valid). For the evaluation instrument, the average value of lecturer validation is 79.48% (valid), and the average value of teacher validation is 76.24 % (valid). In general, this study concludes that the resulting learning device designs are in the category between valid and very valid.
