Abstract

Abstract Hypertension is an increase in systolic blood pressure of more than 140 mmHg and diastolic pressure of 90 mmHg. The number of people with hypertension continues to increase every year, it is estimated that in 2025 there will be 1.5 billion people affected by hypertension and it is estimated that every year 10.44 million people die from hypertension and its complications. Hypertension is one of the degenerative diseases with the highest prevalence in the elderly. Complaints felt by sufferers are usually dizziness, headaches, and fatigue. There are two types of hypertension management, namely pharmacological and non-pharmacological. There are many types of non-pharmacological therapy that can be applied to reduce symptoms of hypertension, one of which is reflexology. The purpose of this literature review is to examine more deeply the publication of research results related to reflexology therapy to overcome complaints of discomfort in the elderly with hypertension so that there is a decrease in blood pressure. The method of writing this literature review study is by referring to articles published in national journals with topics related to the potential of reflexology as a complementary therapy to lower blood pressure and increase comfort in people with hypertension. The results of the search for related publication articles overall state that reflexology can reduce complaints of discomfort that result in a decrease in blood pressure. The conclusion that can be drawn is that reflexology is a complementary therapy to reduce discomfort and lower blood pressure in hypertensive patients.

Abstract

Background : Stunting is a major problem experienced by toddlers in the world and Indonesia is included in the fifth country with the highest number of toddlers experiencing stunting in the world. Method : The research design used is a non-experimental quantitative research design. This type of research is a correlational descriptive study using a cross sectional approach. Result : The results of the study showed that 76% of toddlers who experienced stunting did not get exclusive breastfeeding. Analysis : Some researchers suspect that the effect of exclusive breastfeeding on stunting does not come from aspects of nutritional intake, but from efforts to prevent infection. Conclution : there is a relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of stunting in infants.
