Abstract

Beurandeh village is a village in district of Bandar Baru, Pidie Jaya Regency. The majority of the population of Beurandeh village are farmers. Tobacco is the most commonly planted plant by the Beurandeh. Generally, tobacco is used as the basic ingredient of cigarettes, besides that tobacco is also widely consumed by older women as chewing tobacco. The problem that is often faced in the tobacco processing process is that it is still manual and old so it is less efficient. The purpose of this service is to provide training to the people of Beurandeh village to be able to use tobacco chopping machines properly, so that the time and energy to chop tobacco is more effective and efficient, and drying time is also completed faster. The method used in this service activity is in the form of direction and discussion between the speaker and the tobacco farming community. The result of this service is that the community can understand how to used a tobacco chopping machine so that time and energy are more efficient, and women who dry tobacco do not need to dryi up under the hot sun because the chopping process is completed faster.

Abstract

Nowadays, there are many tools for processing coconut milk, such as grater machines, hydraulic coconut squeezing machines and others, but they are large in size and less efficient for daily use. The purpose of this research is to redesign an ordinary blender to become a coconut milk production blender and to manufacture an ordinary blender to become a coconut milk production blender and to do the testing. The designs that are carried out are the components of the blender mechanism, the grate, and the inner tube. Modifying an ordinary blender into a coconut milk blender by adding an inner tube and drawing it with AutoCAD 2007. After testing the grated and squeezed coconut blender it went well with the grated yield obtained of 1.15 kg from 5 coconuts and the yield of coconut milk obtained during the test was 1.66 liters from 5 coconuts.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan pengabdian ini dilakukan oleh Dosen Fakultas Teknik dan Fakultas Pertanian,Universitas Teuku Umar. Pelaksanaan PKM ini bertema Literasi Digital yang berlokasi di MAN 2Banda Aceh tepatnya di Kecamatan Jaya Baru, Kota Banda Aceh, Provinsi Aceh, Indonesia.Tujuan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini adalah memberi gambaran kepada siswa tentangliterasi digital yang dimana penggunaan teknologi informasi saat ini tidak sekedar hanyamelibatkan kemampuan penggunaan perangkat teknologi, informasi dan komunikasi, tetapi jugamelibatkan kemampuan untuk dalam pembelajaran bersosialisasi, sikap berpikir kritis, kreatif,serta inspiratif sebagai kompetisi digital. Selanjutnya Pemateri juga menyampaikan kepada parapeserta bahwasanya literasi digital tersebut merupakan pengetahuan dan kecakapan dalampenggunaan media digital, alat-alat komunikasi, atau jaringan dalam menemukan, mengevaluasi,menggunakan, membuat informasi, dan memanfaatkannya secara sehat, bijak, cerdas, cermat,tepat, dan patuh hukum sesuai dengan kegunaannya dalam rangka membina komunikasi daninteraksi dalam baik dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dilingkungan rumah atau sekolah.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to control time and to anticipate the completion time of maintenance so that it is not late at PT Ujong Neubok Dalam (UND), and also to improve the implementation of maintenance both as cleaning, lubrication and as periodic checks. In carrying out its production, the company has various machine variations, one of which is the Ripple mill machine. In carrying out ripple mill machine maintenance using the PERT treatment method. The PERT method , or project evaluation and review technique, is a management science model for project planning and execution. The results showed that scheduling on a ripple mill machine was 23 hours or 95.49 % of the normal time. With a very high duration of performance, the greater the possibility of damage occurring, from the analysis that has been carried out, to minimize the damage that occurs to the ripple mill machine, the thing that must be done is to check the ripple mill machine every hour to ensure that there is no damage that can cause the ripple machine mill stopped working. When repairing a Ripple mill machine there are several components that must be provided such as Lubricants, Bearings, V-belt-SPB 2630Lw, Ripple Plate, Pully B3x5, Space Ring, Rotor axle, and 4mm MH360 Welding Wire. As for the work steps, the maintenance starts with checking the axle rotor and immediately following the other components. This maintenance is carried out every 3 months, except for the Ripple Plate and Pully B3x5, because these 2 components are replaced once every 6 months.

Abstract

The Velocity Air Intake System is an important component in a motor vehicle engine, particularly in a 155cc engine. Its function is to optimize the airflow process to the throttle body or carburetor. However, many users or people tend to overlook the significance of improving engine performance by varying the model or replacing the velocity air intake system itself. One common issue is the diameter and shape of the airflow model, which can affect the power, torque, and exhaust emissions produced. Installing a velocity air intake system is one approach to achieve an efficient air delivery process into the combustion chamber. In our research conducted using a dyno test on a 155cc four-stroke engine, the results showed that using a 46 mm size yielded the highest power of 11.03 Hp and produced a torque of 12.39 N.m. Using a 47 mm size resulted in 11.02 Hp and decreased the torque to 12.28 N.m. With a 48 mm size, there was a decrease in power to 11.00 Hp and an increase in torque to 12.72 N.m, while using a 45 mm size led to a decrease in power to 10.09 Hp and produced a torque of 11.31 N.m.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang proses pembuatan alat kontrol kecepatan udara wind tunnel menggunakan arduino sebagai komponen utama unit pengontrol. Pengujian wind tunnel dilakukan dengan kecepatan udara yang bervariasi sesuai kebutuhan agar mendapatkan hasil yang optimal. Motor fan sebagai pembangkit aliran udara tidak dilengkapi dengan pengontrol kecepatan udara. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk membuat alat yang dapat mengontrol kecepatan udara wind tunnel sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengujian. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode penelitian dan pengembangan. Output tegangan power supply diatur pada 11,19 Volt sumber untuk arduino. LCD display, motor servo, modul relay dan sensor anemometer disuplai dari mainboard arduino dan stepdown dengan tegangan 5,069 Volt. Alat secara keseluruhan dan semua komponen dapat bekerja dengan baik. Kecepatan udara yang ditunjukkan LCD display dapat dicapai sampai dengan 39 m/s.    This study discusses the process of making a wind tunnel airspeed control device using arduino as the main component of the controller unit. Wind tunnel testing is carried out at varying air speeds as needed in order to obtain optimal results. The fan motor as an air flow generator is not equipped with an air speed controller. The purpose of this research is to make a tool that can control wind tunnel airspeed according to the testing needs. This research was conducted using the research and development method. The output voltage of the power supply is set at 11.19 Volt source for the Arduino. LCD displays, servo motors, relay modules and anemometer sensors are supplied from the Arduino mainboard and stepdown with a voltage of 5,069 Volts. The tool as a whole and all components can work properly The airspeed indicated by LCD displays can be reached up to 39 m/s.

Abstract

PT. Socfindo Kebun seunagan is a company engaged in the plantation and processing of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) into Crude Palm Oil (CPO). Fresh Fruit Bunches before processing, are first transported using a conveyor to be processed into oil (CPO) from a sterilizer. Based on the analysis of damage and failure that often occurs in scrapper conveyor parts, damage is hampered by the productivity of the company. The purpose of this study is to analyze the causes of failure and damage that occur on the scrapper conveyor by calculating the RPN (Risk Priority Number) value of each failure and damage that occurs to determine maintenance actions that need to be followed up. The results of the analysis showed that there were failures and potential damage to the scrapper conveyor, including the release of the scrapper conveyor chain connecting of 135 RPN, the wear of the scrapper conveyor chain of 40 RPN, and the rupture of the bearing of 56 RPN. Connecting the scrapper conveyor chain is more often damaged than other parts, so monitoring and repair are prioritized. Overall, the factors causing damage and failure are caused by lack of routine maintenance so that they are damaged.

Abstract

Agricultural technology to support the agricultural sector, especially peaty paddy fields, should be developed, because peat land with a thickness of less than one meter has been recommended for rice crops. supported by a potential peatland area of ​​up to 21 million Ha or 10.8% of Indonesia's land area. Currently, peatland farming communities use sickles to harvest rice and hoes to cultivate the land. So far, hand tractor finned wheel drive technology has been widely used for cultivating wet paddy fields, whereas in conditions of peaty paddy fields it has not been able to be used because of the high level of sinkage and wheel slip, for this reason a new model of wheel is needed that is capable of working in peaty paddy fields. The aim of the research is firstly to find the right model of driving wheel for use in peaty paddy fields, secondly a prototype driving wheel for peaty paddy fields, and thirdly to experimentally test the driving wheel. Research results (1) prototype with a driving wheel diameter of 35 cm and the number of fins is 8 for the standard fin type and for the double fin type the driving wheel diameter is 40 cm with 4 vertical arc fins, which are placed on the surface of the driving wheel. (2) Comparison with the same type of loading shows that the double fin type drive wheel has a relatively smaller level of wheel loading (around 20%) when compared to the standard type drive wheel. (3) The sinkage level of the standard type drive wheel has a smaller sinkage (around 10%) compared to the double finned wheel type, in tests with the same type of loading. test loads for wheels are 20 kg, 40 kg and 60 kg. The double fin type drive wheel is good for use in peaty paddy fields.
