Abstract

Abstrak. Pemantauan dan pengendalian level air dalam tangki penyimpanan secara manual sering kali tidak efisien dan berisiko menyebabkan air yang terbuang sia sia. Oleh karna itu, penelitian ini mengembangkan sistem monitoring berbasis Internet of things menggunakan ESP32, sensor ultrasonik, dan relay, dengan aplikasi Blynk serrta Telegram sebagai media pemantauan dan notifikasi. Sistem ini memungkinkan pengguna untuk melihat level air secara real-time dan mengontrol pompa air secara otomatis atau manual melalui aplikasi.Pengujian sistem menunjukkan bahwa snesor ultrasonik memiliki akurasi tinggi dalam mendeteksi level air, sementara sistem kendali pompa berbasis relay bekerja dengan baik dalam mengisidan menghentikan aliran air sesuai dengan batas yang telah ditentukan. Dengan adanya sistem ini, pengguna dapat lebih mudah mengontrol ketersediaan air dan menghindari pemborosan.  Abstract. Manual monitoring and control of the water level in the storage tank is often inefficient and risks causing wasted water. Therefore, this research developed an Internet of things-based monitoring system using ESP32, ultrasonic sensors, and relays, with the Blynk application as Telegram as a monitoring and notification medium. The system allows users to view the water level in real-time and control the water pump automatically or manually through the app.System testing shows that ultrasonic sensor have high accuracy in detecting water levels, while relay-based pump control systems work well in filling and stopping the water flow according to predetermined limits. With this system, users can more easily control water availability and avoid waste.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam mengembangkan LKPD interaktif berbasis Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) yang dipadukan dengan nilai budaya Mandailing untuk memperkuat pembelajaran kontekstual di era 4.0. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama tiga hari, meliputi tahap persiapan (6 Agustus 2025), pelaksanaan workshop dan pendampingan (7–8 Agustus 2025), serta evaluasi. Sebanyak 25 guru SMP Negeri 4 Angkola Timur berpartisipasi aktif dalam pelatihan yang menekankan praktik langsung menggunakan aplikasi digital seperti Canva dan Liveworksheet. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam merancang LKPD digital yang menarik dan relevan bagi siswa. Evaluasi menunjukkan tingkat pemahaman peserta sebesar 88,75%, penyampaian materi 89,10%, dan praktik 87,80%, dengan peningkatan kompetensi rata-rata 32% berdasarkan hasil pre-test dan post-test. Peserta memberikan tanggapan positif dan merasa kegiatan ini memberikan manfaat nyata bagi peningkatan profesionalisme dan kreativitas mereka. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan PKM ini berhasil memperkuat literasi digital guru, menumbuhkan kemampuan inovatif dalam pembelajaran berbasis konteks lokal, serta menjadi langkah awal dalam membangun ekosistem pendidikan yang adaptif, kolaboratif, dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of weight fraction in an epoxy-based composite reinforced with candlenut shell charcoal powder on mechanical properties, specifically shear strength and flexural strength. The filler consisted of candlenut shell charcoal powder with a particle size of 841 to 1190 μm. The candlenut shell charcoal to epoxy matrix ratios were varied at 55:45 %wt, 60:40 %wt, 65:35 %wt, 70:30 %wt, 75:25 %wt, 80:20 %wt, and 85:15 %wt. Composite specimens were prepared by homogeneous mixing, molding, and followed by room-temperature curing before mechanical testing. Mechanical characterization was conducted through flexural and shear tests using a Universal Testing Machine (UTM) with appropriate fixtures for each test method. The results indicate that increasing the filler fraction tends to reduce the mechanical performance of the composites. The highest flexural strength was obtained at 55:45 %wt by 16.63 MPa, while the lowest value was recorded at 85:15 %wt by 4.88 MPa. The highest shear strength also occurred at 55:45 %wt by 8.87 MPa and reached the minimum at 80:20 %wt by approximately 1.65 MPa, with a sharp decrease observed at 70:30 %wt. Overall, the findings demonstrate that increasing the candlenut shell charcoal powder fraction decreases both flexural and shear strengths. This degradation at high filler loadings is associated with reduced epoxy wetting of particles, increased agglomeration and porosity, and weakened load transfer across the filler–matrix interface. These results suggest that the composite formulation requires an optimum filler fraction and careful control of mixing and molding processes to achieve more stable mechanical performance.
