Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKPD  berbasis Discovery Learning  pada materi system ekskresi untuk peserta didik SMA. Pengembangan LKPD system ekskresi dilatarbelakangi oleh kebutuhan pembelajaran untuk melatih kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik SMA.  Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (research and development/R&D). Tahapan utama dalam penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah (1) pengumpulan informasi dan penelitian pendahuluan; (2) perencanaan; (3) pengembangan produk; (4) pengujian terbatas, dan (5) revisi produk akhir. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik SMA Negeri  2 Bandar Lampung yang mengambil pelajaran system ekskresi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan angket. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan materi LKPD berbasis discovery learning pada materi sistim ekskresi di SMA sangat layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Hal tersebut berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli materi sebesar 88%, hasil validasi ahli media sebesar 86%, hasil validasi ahli Bahasa dan Pendidikan 89% , hasil validasi pemakai 86%, validasi uji kelompok terbatas 85,5%.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to develop a research-based reference book and applied it through the problem-based learning (PBL) using reference books in learning activities. The method for the reference book used the ADDIE development models. The reference book's effectiveness test results were conducted using a purposive sampling technique, with a total sample of 55 students and analyzed by t-test. The research results showed that the reference books of the development results were validated by media experts and material experts. The integration of the development of reference books in learning activities has an impact on increasing student understanding as demonstrated through the pre-test and post-test scores that differ significantly with t-value> t-table (4.149> 2.045) at p <0.05. Therefore, the development of the insect's immune system book with the PBL model increasthe student learning outcomes significantly. Also, this research has been able to improve students' ability and competence in solving problems in insects' immune system subject matter.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability of students in solving critical thinking questions. There are 20 multiple choice questions as an instrument of critical thinking questions. The test was carried out in class VII SMP Yapis Manokwari which consisted of 23 students. This research is a descriptive study using the Rasch model with winstep software. The results showed that the average score of students in solving critical thinking questions reached 57%. The Rasch model shows that students 23, 04, and 21 have high intelligence, while students 05, 08, 03, 10, 17, 01, 15, 19, 11, and 18 have the lowest abilities. The results showed that the ability of students to solve critical thinking questions was still in the low category. This can be used as an evaluation description for teachers to improve students' critical thinking skills

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menumbuhkan minat baca siswa melalui implementasi assessment for learning berbasis higher order thinking skills (HOTS) dalam pembelajaran ilmu pengetahuan alam (IPA). Desain penelitian menggunakan quasi experimental dengan sampel kelas VIIIC sebagai kelas eksperimen 1 dan kelas VIIID sebagai kelas eksperimen 2 di SMP Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung melalui teknik random sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa instrumen asesmen HOTS hasil pengembangan dengan kelayakan terjamin validitas teoritis tim ahli dan validitas empiris yang melibatkan 174 siswa kelas IX SMP. Pengumpulan data penelitian memakai lembar angket instrumen skala self regulated learning (SRL) dengan fokus indikator pengukuran minat baca. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan minat baca siswa tumbuh sebesar 51,23% pada kelas eksperimen 1 dengan kategori “tinggi” dan 54,56% kelas eksperimen 2 juga berkategori “tinggi”. Pertumbuhan minat baca tertinggi pada kedua kelas eksperimen terdapat pada indikator membaca kembali buku catatan ketika akan menghadapi ulangan sebesar 60,33%, mencari jawaban dengan membaca buku di perpustakaan untuk memecahkan permasalahan tugas/PR tergolong sulit sebesar 55,01%, akan menonton acara favorit di televisi apabila tugas/PR telah selesai dikerjakan sebesar 54,00% dan 52,34% membaca buku teks pelajaran yang dimiliki. Dengan demikian implementasi assessment for learning berbasis HOTS pada pembelajaran IPA mampu menumbuhkan minat baca siswa. Implementation of assessment for learning based on higher-order thinking skills to fostering student reading interest Abstract: This study aims to foster students' interest in reading through the implementation of assessment for learning based on higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) in science learning. The study design used quasi-experimental with samples of class VIIIC as experimental class 1 and class VIIID as experimental class 2 in SMP Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung through random sampling technique. The research instrument in the form of a HOTS assessment instrument was the result of development with the assurance of the expert team's theoretical validity and empirical validity involving 174 junior high school students. The collection of research data using questionnaires on the instrument scale of self-regulated learning (SRL) with a focus on measurement indicators of reading interest. Descriptive data analysis with a qualitative approach. The results of the data analysis showed that students' reading interest grew by 51,23% in the experimental class 1 with the category "high" and 54,56% in the experimental class 2 also categorized as "high". The growth of the highest reading interest in the two experimental classes was found in the indicator of rereading the notebook when it faced a replication of 60,33%, looking for answers by reading books in the library to solve difficult assignments / PR problems of 55,01%, going to watching favourite programs on television when the assignment / PR has been completed by 54,00% and 52,34% read the textbooks that are owned. Thus the implementation of HOTS-based assessment for learning in science learning is able to foster students' interest in reading.

Abstract

This study is a meta-analysis study that aims to determine the effect of the ethnoscience approach in science learning in schools in terms of the philosophy of science. This study integrates the results of primary studies from several studies that have been published in national and international journals. The method used in this study is an analysis of the results of 9 international journals and 1 national journal which involves the influence of the ethnoscience approach in science learning as the main study. The search was conducted through the Google search engine, using Google Scholar and Semantic Scholar with the keywords influence of ethnoscience approach. Data analysis used the average effect size of each research sample which was then categorized based on Cohen's interpretation. The results of the study indicate that the use of the ethnoscience approach in science learning is very influential with a large effect size of 1.59. The influence of the ethnoscience approach is based on the field of study and level of education. So it can be concluded that there is a significant effect on the use of the ethnoscience approach in learning science in schools.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to investigate the Science teachers' perception toward e-worksheet based on chiken manure waste treatment projects to improve students' creative thinking skills. The method used in this research is mixed methods with Sequential Explanatory Design. The data was collected through questionnaire, then analyzed by using descriptive analysis. The questionnaires were distributed to 14 Science teacher respondents and 127 junior high school students in North Metro District. The result shows that teacher have a positive perception toward usage of the electronic students' worksheets based on chiken manure waste treatment projects. The results showed that 79% of teachers had not used project-based e-worksheets; based on students' response questionnaires, 37% of teachers have given project assignments, but the projects were not based on real problems in the environment. Environmental problems that occur in North Metro District is the amount of chicken manure waste issue that causes pollution to the environment around society’s houses. The current worksheets has not completely train students' creative thinking skills and that's skills was in low category. Based on the result It can be concluded that a e-worksheet based on chiken manure waste treatment projects is needed to improve students' creative thinking skills

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk membahas bagaimana pandangan aliran filsafat progresivisme terhadap pembelajaran IPA pada Kurikulum Merdeka. Kurikulum merupakan seperangkat instrumen dan aturan dalam melaksanakan pendidikan yang dapat merubah prilau peserta didik dalam mencapai tujuan pendidikan nasional. Dengan seiring berjalannya waktu, pendidikan harus terus berkembang untuk memenuhi tuntutan zaman. Hal ini sejalan dengan aliran filsafat Progresivisme yang menghendaki kemajuan pendidikan, sehingga pendidikan menjadi berkualitas dan memberikan manfaat yang nyata bagi peserta didik dalam menghadapi perkembangan zaman. Salah satu ciri khas kurikulum merdeka adalah dengan diterapkannya pembelajaran berbasis proyek, dengan menggunakan pembelajaran berbasis proyek, peserta didik dapat memaksimalkan  kekreatifan mereka  dalam  memecahkan suatu masalah yang terjadi di kehidupan nyata.

Abstract

System thinking is one of the most important skills of the 21st century. System thinking helps students organize their thoughts in a meaningful way and make connections between seemingly unrelated problems. This study aims to determine the application of assessment instruments on system thinking skills based on literature review. This research uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. The SLR method is used to identify, review, evaluate, and interpret all available research with the topic area of phenomena of interest, with certain relevant research questions totaling 11 articles. The results of the literature review study that researchers analyzed and concluded that a good and relevant assessment instrument can help evaluate system thinking skills objectively and comprehensively, the application of the assessment instrument has an impact on students, especially on the ability to think systemically and critically.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Jigsaw cooperative learning model in developing communication skills and cognitive learning outcomes of students. This research using the one group pretest-posttest design. The sample is the students of class X MIA 1 who were selected through purposive sampling technique. Data on oral communication skills were carried out by self-assessment, peer assessment and observation which were analyzed using a Likert scale. Meanwhile, data on cognitive learning outcomes were obtained through pretest and posttest scores, then analyzed by performing the n-gain score test. The research data shows that students have oral communication skills in the "high" category, which is as much as 77%. The highest verbal communication skills of students are found in the indicator of delivering detailed information with the "very high" category, while the lowest communication skills are found in the indicator of giving questions in the "enough" category. Then for learning outcomes, statistically student learning outcomes showed a significant difference between initial understanding (pretest) and understanding after learning (posttest) indicated by a significant N-gain value of 0.73 with high criteria. Thus, it can be concluded that the Jigsaw cooperative learning model is effective in developing communication skills and cognitive learning outcomes of students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe visual representation-based android learning media to improve students' representation abilities based on the views of teachers and students. This research involved 39 science teachers and 181 junior high school students in Lampung province. The method used in this study is a mixed method with an explanatory sequential design in order to obtain quantitative and qualitative data through questionnaires and interviews. The results of the study show that teachers and students have a positive perception of the development of visual representation-based android learning media. This study found the fact that there were several factors that caused teachers not to pay attention to students' representation abilities. The teacher believes that the use of learning media can train students' representation abilities and have an impact on increasing student representation abilities. Â
