Abstract

Diffussion of Islam through printed media (da’wah bi al-qalam, bi al-kitabah) is anintegrated part of the study of Islamic preaching (da’wah). It is one of da’wah media or channels.One of the main criteria of da’wah media is its effectiveness and efficiency.Printed media is an alternative of da’wah media that is effective and efficient enough. Thediffussion of Islam through printed media can be found in the form of articles, features, and bookreviews. The texts in mass media represent the various kinds of da’wah which are developingrecently.

Abstract

Mass media construd dakwah discourses in text forms. The texts of dakwah discourses in mass media need to be analyzed and discourse analysis can reveal the discourse of dakwah texls in mass media. The discourse analysis of Teun A. Van Djik covers: 1) text analysis, that is, how to analyze texf structures by applying linguistic analysis to explain and get the meaning of a text; 2) social cognition analysis, that is how a text was created by the author; and 3) social analysis, that is how a text is related to social strudure and knowledge of the society.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that every society has the power that can be empowered. In reality, women’s empowerment can not be separated from the mass media. Media plays an important role in community development activities in addition to those factors that physically exists, the costs that are physically visible, and a program that systematically reads as a motor of an empowerment. Can not be denied that the media be a factor that plays a role in social change. The metodology used is a discourse analysis of Teun Van Dijk that include text analysis, social cognition and social analysis. The results of this study are in terms of thematic, news in Kompas on community empowerment more women are taking the theme of the spirit of environmental conservation, the management of waste into valuable goods and high economic value, the spirit of education for the rural women, education for the children of scavengers and businesses by empowering residents. In the schematic aspect, Kompas has a systematic scheme from the start the title, lead and mutually continuous body. In terms of semantics (meaning that will be emphasized), Kompas in its message emphasizing the importance of community empowerment. The characters are raised in rubric “sosok” is the inspiring figures are considered “essential” and interesting. From the aspect of syntax, Kompas taking shape, sentence structure with many uses elements of coherence, namely by using conjunctions to show that the attitude of painstaking, diligent, not easily discouraged and high social sensitivity is the foundation of community empowerment. From the stylistic aspects (choice of words) Kompas uses words that are universal, humanistic and not dry. In the aspect of rhetorical style repression by Kompas uses graphic elements to highlight or emphasize deemed important by using a full color photo or image be equiped complete biodata. From the aspect of the analysis of Social Cognition, can be dissected that reality carries the ideology of Journalists Kompas humanistic ideology. idealism Kompas journalist for the achievement of the mission that the mandate of the People’s Conscience. Kompas vision that promotes the vision of making transcendental humanism humanistic Kompas use language in presenting the facts to the reader. In speaking, Kompas does not use language that dry, formal, abstract and rational, but that involves feelings of intuition, and human emotions. From the aspect of social analysis, that ownership is held by a group or its members, in this case that directly or indirectly affect the discourse of empowerment is a character or figure, journalist, and editor of Kompas. In terms of “akses” (access) each group has access enabler respectively in disseminating the empowerment of communities through printed and electronic mass media. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fakta bahwa setiap masyarakat memiliki daya (potensi) yang dapat diberdayakan. Realitanya, pemberdayaan masyarakat perempuan tidak dapat dipisahkan dari media massa. Mediasangat berperan dalam aktivitas pemberdayaan masyarakat di samping faktor orang-orang yang secara fisik ada, biaya yang secara fisik tampak, dan program yang secara sistematis terbaca sebagai motor dari sebuah pemberdayaan. Tidak dapat ditolak bahwa media menjadi faktor yang berperan dalam perubahan sosial masyarakat.Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis wacana Teun Van Dijk yang mencakup analisis teks, kognisi sosial dan analisis sosial. Hasil penelitian ini adalah dari segi tematik, pemberitaan di Kompas tentang pemberdayaan masyarakat perempuan lebih banyak mengambil tema semangat pelestarian lingkungan, pengelolaan sampah menjadi barang berharga dan bernilai ekonomi tinggi, semangat pendidikan untuk masyarakat perempuan desa, pendidkan untuk anak-anak pemulung dan bisnis dengan memberdayakan warga. Dalam aspek skematik, Kompas mempunyai skema yang sistematis dari mulai judul, lead dan body saling berkesinambungan. Dari sisi semantik (makna yang ingin ditekankan), Kompas dalam pemberitaannya menekankan pentingnya pemberdayaan masyarakat. Tokoh-tokoh yang diangkat dalam rubrik “sosok” adalah tokoh inspiratif dianggap “penting” dan menarik. Dari aspek sintaksis, Kompas memakai bentuk, susunan kalimat dengan banyak menggunakan elemen koherensi, yaitu dengan menggunakan kata penghubung untuk menunjukkan bahwa sikap telaten, tekun, tidak mudah putus asa dan sensitivitas sosial yang tinggi adalah landasan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Dari aspek stilistik (pemilihan kata) Kompas menggunakan kata-kata yang universal, humanistis dan tidak kering. Dalam aspek retoris, gaya penekanan yang dilakukan Kompas menggunakan elemen grafis untuk menonjolkan atau menekankan yang dianggap penting dengan menggunakan foto atau gambar full color  dilengkapi biodata lengkap. Dari aspek analisis Kognisi Sosial, dapat dibedah bahwa realitas ideologi Jurnalis Kompas mengusung ideologi humanistik. Idealisme jurnalis demi tercapainya misi Kompas yaitu “Amanat Hati Nurani Rakyat”. Visi Kompas yang mengutamakan visi humanisme transendental menjadikan Kompas menggunakan bahasa humanistis dalam menyajikan fakta kepada pembaca. Dalam berbahasa, Kompas tidak memakai bahasa yang kering, formal, abstrak dan rasional, tetapi yang menyangkut perasaan intuisi, dan emosi manusia. Dari aspek Analisis sosial, bahwa kepemilikan yang dimiliki oleh suatu kelompok atau anggotanya, dalam hal ini yang secara langsung maupun tidak langsung mempengaruhi wacana pemberdayaan masyarakat adalah tokoh atau sosok, wartawan, dan redaksi Kompas. Dari sisi akses (access) setiap kelompok pemberdaya mempunyai akses masing-masing dalam menyebarluaskan pemberdayaan masyarakat, baik melalui media massa cetak maupun elektronik.

Abstract

Educations are classic problems and increased on dynamics of civilization. Problems of Education become to draw when related to imaging of someone, that is power hegemony, debased woman image, and exaggerated men image. Therefore, study of woman image especially hit unfair of gender, situated behind and woman rights become more important. Go together is situated behind of woman clan, there are some different view and opinion in solution of situated behind and, woman rights, such as: functionalism Structural Stream, Conflict Sociology Stream, Feminism of Marxist, Feminism of Socialism, and Feminism of Theology’s.

Abstract

Abstract: The consequence of a plural society is social conflict. An attitude that can stimulate conflict is exclusivism, primordial ethnicity, race and religion. The existence of an interfaith communication cannot be separated from the mass media. The mass media is a tool or an effective mediator in the publication of ideology in the stage win public support. Therefore, it is necessary to study scientifically how the media constructs a discourse of reality. This study is qualitative research using critical discourse analysis approach. The results of this study describe how the Kompas newspaper construct a discourse, both in terms of thematic, schematic, semantic, syntactic, rhetorical, and in terms of the social aspect of the analysis. Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by politics that can not be separated fromthe mass media. The mass media is an effective mediator in the publication ofpolitical ideology in an attempt to win public support. This study is a qualitativeresearch approach of critical discourse analysis Teun A. Van Djik. Results of thisstudy are: in terms of thematic, more news in Kompas takes the theme of presidentialcandidate and direction of the coalition at presidential elections in 2014. In theschematic aspect, Kompas has a systematic scheme from the start the title, leadand body mutually sustainable. In terms of semantics, the meaning is emphasizedKompas in reporting each party has a presidential candidate, but legislative electionand electability figures that will be decisive. In stylistic aspect, Kompas use wordsthat universal, humanistic, and not dry. Kompas also using graphic elements tohighlight or emphasize deemed important by using photos or images and alsographs and put political news in the headline.Keywords: politics, media, discourse analysis. Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keberadaan politik yang tidakdapat dipisahkan dari media massa. Media massa merupakan mediator yangefektif dalam publikasi ideologi politik dalam taraf memenangkan dukungan publik.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis wacanakritis Teun A. Van Djik. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: dari segi tematik, pemberitaan diKompas lebih banyak mengambil tema tokoh kandidat capres dan arah koalisipemilihan presiden 2014. Dalam aspek skematik, Kompas mempunyai skemayang sistematis dari mulai judul, lead dan body saling berkesinambungan. Darisisi semantik, makna yang ingin ditekankan Kompas dalam pemberitaannya adalahmasing-masing partai mempunyai kandidat capres, tetapi pileg dan elektabilitastokoh yang akan menjadi penentu. Dalam Dari aspek stilistik, Kompas menggunakankata-kata yang universal, humanistis, dan tidak kering. Menggunakanelemen grafis untuk menonjolkan atau menekankan yang dianggap pentingdengan menggunakan foto atau gambar dan juga grafik serta menaruh beritapolitik dalam headline.Kata kunci: politik, media, analisis wacana.

Abstract

Indonesian is a nation born from the spirit of nationalism. The spirit of independence and freedom from colonialism finally resulted in the spirit of unity among tribes, races, religions and groups to form Indonesian nationalism. Having the same feeling of destiny and experience could defeat ethnic, cultural and religious differences so that the formation of Indonesia nation was created. Nationalism can be interpreted as the ability to love the nation and state. Nationalism is a state of awareness or a national spirit. Nationalism is not just an instrument that acts as plurality gluing externally, but also a vessel that affirms a plural Indonesian identity in its various cultural dimensions. The press with the freedom of news/ information publications has a dual role, namely the media as an information filter and as a media of national unity. The media as an information filter mean that the media has the authority to conceptualize social reality. It is this conceptualization process that needs to be reconstructed into potential in building and campaigning for nationalism. Applicatively media people see that social reality is packaged in the framework of strengthening the values of nationalism. Then the mass media as a mediator of national unity has the function of providing insight and education as well as preventive efforts in reducing the potential for intolerance and the development of nationalism values.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology encourages access and dissemination of information to be unlimited. The spread of hate speech, to negative behavior on social media is increasingly happening. In the end, human activities are dominated by gadgets for reasons of being faster, more practical and more efficient. This situation makes people faced with the problem of self-control in the use of gadgets. This research is a qualitative research with a field approach. Determination of informants is done by snowball sampling technique, namely data obtained from key informants. This key-informant helps or will be able to develop based on the instructions given by him. This research data collection used interview and observation techniques. Meanwhile, data analysis was carried out through data reduction from data obtained in the field. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the factors supporting hoax behavior are: 1). Unfavorable Situation, 2). Easy internet access for the Gawai Community 3). Lack of awareness and responsibility 3). Lack of role of community leaders. The preventive measures can be carried out in the following ways: 1). Be careful with provocative titles 2). Pay attention to site addresses 3) Fact check 4). Check the authenticity of photos 6) Participate in anti-hoax discussion groups. Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi mendorong akses dan penyebaran informasi menjadi tanpa batas. Penyebaran ujaran kebencian, hingga perilaku negative di media social semakin banyak terjadi. Pada akhirnya aktifitas manusia lebih banyak didominasi oleh gawai dengan alasan lebih cepat, praktis dan efesien. Keadaan ini menjadikan masyarakat dihadapkan pada persoalan kontrol diri dalam penggunaan gawai. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan lapangan. Penentuan informan dilakukan dengan teknik snowball sampling, yaitu data didapatkan dari key informan. Key-informan ini membantu atau akan dapat berkembang berdasarkan petunjuk yang diberikan olehnya Pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi. Sedangkan, Analisis data yang dilakukan melalui reduksi data dari data yang diperoleh di lapangan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulakan bahwa faktor-faktor pendukung perilaku hoaks adalah : 1). Situasi Tidak Kondusif, 2). Akses internet mudah Masyarakat Gawai 3). Minimnya kesadaran dan tanggung jawab 3). Kurang perannya tokoh masyarakat. Adapaun tindakan penceganhannya dapat dilakukan dengan cara sebagai berikut : 1). Hati-hati dengan judul provokatif 2). Cermati alamat situs 3) Periksa fakta 4). Cek keaslian foto 6) Ikut serta grup diskusi anti-hoaks.

Abstract

In the current era of globalization, information and communication technology is developing rapidly, one of which is in the field of social media. But along with the rapid development of technology, there are parties who abuse the functions of Facebook social media. The current problem on Facebook is sexual harassment, where there are two parties communicating online and these two parties are the perpetrator and the victim. The perpetrator sent a short message on Facebook that was initially complimentary but became sexually suggestive. The aim of this research is to find out the underlying causes of sexual harassment and reduce the number of sexual harassment on Facebook. The method in this research uses a case study which is studied qualitatively by distributing an online questionnaire in the form of a Google form, then conducting interviews with several sources, namely two victims of sexual harassment. Data collection techniques used observations from newspapers and respondents from distributed online questionnaires and conducting structured interviews. The results of this research show that sexual harassment that occurs on social media is divided into written harassment, verbal harassment, visual harassment and real harassment. The response from female social media users was that most of them regretted the sexual harassment activities that occurred. Acts of sexual harassment also have negative impacts on victims, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and psychological impacts that trigger a series of complications, especially regarding the physical health of victims of sexual harassment on social media.

Abstract

Broadcast digitization is the technical term for making the transition from analog to digital media formats. The digitization of broadcasting is critical because modern life's demands for perfection, brevity, and speed have rendered analog obsolete. The rise of digital television is predicted to provide a larger audience for broadcasting institutions. The principle of independent production and ownership is emphasized in this digital radio. Due to the explosive growth of the internet, competition among radio stations is fierce. Managers in the broadcast radio industry need to be more resourceful and original if they want to increase the size of their audience. Because if you can't compete, radio will die because you can't compete with the reach of online news outlets. Radio needs flexibility to develop with other media, especially the internet. Without competition, the radio industry would stagnate. Radio station management needs to be continuously improved so that radio broadcasts can survive facing competition from other social media. The method in this research is qualitative. Data collection methods namely Observation, Interview, and Documentation. Mitra FM Purwokerto does the same to maintain and increase their audience. Mitra FM Purwokerto is fully committed to making the most of all available social media platforms. Purwokerto Mitra FM radio station makes extensive use of platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. Live streaming on social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook facilitates communication from Mitra FM Purwokerto to listeners.
