Abstract

This research is titled "The Preparedness of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in Disaster Management in Lembata Regency." The research problem addressed in this thesis is: How is the preparedness of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in disaster management in Lembata Regency? The theories used in this study are Agile Governance and Agile Governance in Disaster Preparedness. Primary data sources include informants, while secondary data consists of documents related to the research variables. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and descriptive qualitative analysis. The research findings show that: (1) Anticipatory Efforts: BPBD formed a Rapid Response Team (TRC) to accelerate disaster management for events such as droughts, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, and landslides. TRC is responsible for identifying damage, mapping affected areas, rescuing victims, and effectively distributing aid. However, limitations in disaster signage and lack of public education hinder community preparedness. Therefore, awareness needs to be increased through the provision of signage, evacuation routes, socialization, and regular training. Challenges related to funding, expertise, and coordination must also be addressed through careful planning and cross-sector collaboration to ensure effective disaster mitigation and recovery. (2) Responsive Efforts: BPBD enhances disaster preparedness by providing logistics warehouses stocked with food, medicine, clothing, emergency equipment, and evacuation tools such as boats and fire trucks. Aid distribution is coordinated with the military (TNI), police (Polri), and community organizations. BPBD also prepares gathering points, safe evacuation routes, and evacuation posts. Post-disaster recovery involves BPBD, the Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency (PUPR), PLN, the Communications and Information Agency (Kominfo), and the community to repair infrastructure, healthcare facilities, education services, and support economic and housing recovery, aiming to build long-term resilience. Based on the analysis, the author concludes that BPBD has played a significant role in disaster management in Lembata Regency. This achievement stems from both anticipatory and responsive efforts.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Political Segmentation is one of the political marketing strategy to win in the legislative elections. At present Legislative Elections in Kupang in 2009, the segmentation of voters who carried contribute to the incumbent candidate the victor. From the research, it was found that the victory of incumbent candidates legislative because: First, map out the incumbent the legislative candidate’s segmentation voters to find the tendency of voters determine political choices begins with a basic voter identification, profiling of voters based on the likelihood of determining choice. After that, the next step carried a mapping of potential voters will be contested in order to get the contested seats in the constituency. Second, the incumbent of legislative candidate’s treatment back segment of voters who once supported him in the elections last time. This political Segmentation very helpful a legislator candidate both the legislative candidate’s incumbent and prospective new legislative or first started his political career in the arena of legislative elections in order to map out the and see more of the character segment of the electorate and give offer effective political keeping with the character segment of voters the target group in order to achieve the most votes. Keywords: Political Segmentation, legislative Voters, incumbent   ABSTRAK Segmentasi Politik merupakan salah satu strategi pemasaran politik untuk meraih kemenangan dalam pemilu legislatif. Pada saat Pemilu Anggota Legislatif di Kota Kupang tahun 2009, segmentasi pemilih yang dilakukan caleg petahana berkontribusi bagi kemenangan caleg petahana. Dari hasil penelitian, ditemukan bahwa kemenangan calon legistif petahana dikarenakan: pertama, calon legislatif petahana memetakan segmentasi pemilih untuk menemukan kecenderungan pemilih menentukan pilihan politik yang diawali dengan melakukan Idenftikasi dasar pemilih, menyusun profil pemilh berdasarkan kecenderungan penentuan pilihan. Setelah itu, langkah selanjutnya dilakukan pemetaan potensi suara pemilih yang akan diperebutkan guna mendapatkan kursi yang diperebutkan di daerah pemilihan. Kedua, calon legislatif  petahana melakukan perawatan kembali segmen pemilih yang pernah mendukungnya dalam pemuli legislatif kali lalu. Segmentasi politik ini, sangat membantu seorang calon legislatif baik calon legislatif petahana maupun calon legislatif yang baru atau pertama kalinya memulai karier politik  dalam arena pemilu legislatif agar dapat memetakan dan mengenal lebih jauh karakter segmen pemilih dan memberikan tawaran politik yang efektif sesuai dengan karakter segmen pemilih yang menjadi kelompok sasaran agar dapat meraih suara terbanyak. Abstract

The socialization activity on increasing public awareness of women's rights in village development participation was carried out in Jawapogo Village, Mauponggo District, Nagekeo Regency. This activity aims to encourage changes in the community's mindset towards the strategic role of women in fair and inclusive village development. Through an educational approach, this activity targets mothers and young women as key groups in the process of strengthening capacity and understanding of gender equality and women's rights. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of the concept of gender equality, courage in voicing opinions in public spaces, and a growing enthusiasm to be actively involved in village development activities. This socialization proves that a participation-based approach and critical awareness can be an effective strategy in increasing women's involvement at the village level, while encouraging the creation of a more just, equal, and sustainable society. Abstract

This study aims to review the pattern of resistance in the development policy of Oeluan Forest ecotourism. The protest is based on the community's respect for sacred springs. The theory cluster of 'One-Dimensional Politics' as an analytical knife examines political practices that mainstream the economic impact of tourism. This study uses a qualitative approach with the specification of a descriptive-explorative method. The results of the research show that efforts to reify the Oeluan Forest, a political strategy to approach the community in a neat and planned manner, have triggered deforestation and desacralization that are rife in East Nusa Tenggara. The urgency of indigenous peoples' business lies in proposing multidimensional politics in the policy corpus of the Oeluan Forest ecotourism area.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau corak resistensi dalam kebijakan pembangunan ekowisata Hutan Oeluan. Protes tersebut berlatar penghormatan masyarakat terhadap mata air yang disakralkan. Gugus teori 'Politk Satu Dimensi' sebagai pisau analisis mencermati praktik politik yang mengarusutamakan impak ekonomi pariwisata. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan spesifikasi metode deskriptif-eksploratif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan upaya reifikasi Hutan Oeluan ialah strategi politik untuk mendekati masyarakat secara apik dan terencana telah memicu deforestasi dan desakralisasi yang marak terjadi di Nusa Tenggara Timur. Urgensi usaha masyarakat adat terletak pada mengajukan politik multidimensional dalam korpus kebijakan kawasan ekowisata Hutan Oeluan.

Abstract

This study discusses the influence of parenting patterns on children's social development in Maukeli Village, Mauponggo District, Nagekeo Regency. Community service activities in the form of socialization carried out on May 14, 2025 aimed to increase the understanding of mothers and the community regarding the importance of healthy and positive parenting patterns in supporting the growth and formation of children's character. The methods used include lectures, discussions, simulations, evaluations, and feedback, involving mothers and children as participants. The results of the activity show that the parenting patterns applied in Maukeli Village are still diverse, so this socialization provides knowledge and practical skills in child care that can shape children's character and emotional development optimally. This activity emphasizes the importance of the active role of mothers as primary caregivers and collaboration between the village government, health workers, and the community in creating a conducive family environment for child development. With ongoing assistance, it is hoped that children in Maukeli Village can grow into independent, responsible, and highly competitive individuals.

Abstract

Desain grafis telah menjadi kebutuhan dalam berbagai bidang kehidupan. Program pelatihan photoshop menjadi bekal skill di bidang desain grafis dimana saat ini ilmu desain grafis semakin hari menjadi salah satu ilmu yang menjanjikan untuk mendapatkan dan menciptakan peluang pekerjaan. Kemampuan seseorang dalam mendesain bisa terus dikembangkan dengan menggunakan aplikasi photoshop. Meningkatnya kemampuan secara personal dan profesional bisa menjadi daya jual seseorang. Dengan begitu pelajar dapat bersaing secara professional dan secara personal kemampuan pribadi semakin meningkat. Dalam artikel wordpress.com tentang materi teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) sekolah menengah atas, penulis hanya menemukan pembelajaran tentang dasar penggunaan komputer dan tentang sejarah internet. Lebih lanjut melalui diskusi awal yang penulis lakukan dengan pihak SMAN 1 Amfoang Barat Laut, penulis menemukan banyak pelajar yang belum mengenal aplikasi desain professional seperti Photoshop. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, makan kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan dengan judul “Pelatihan Aplikasi Photoshop Untuk Edit Foto, Desain Poster, Feed Instagram Bagi Pelajar SMAN 1 Amfoang Barat Laut”. Kontribusi mendasar dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah pelajar SMAN 1 Amfoang Barat Laut setelah mengikuti pelatihan ini memiliki peningkatan pengetahuan, kemampuan dan kompetensi diri akan penggunaan teknologi informasi untuk desain grafis menggunakan aplikasi photoshop yang ditunjukkan melalui hasil desain poster, selebaran maupun feed instagram. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perubahan pemahaman dan kemampuan siswa SMAN 1 Amfoang Barat Laut dalam menggunakan aplikasi photoshop. Keberhasilan ini tercermin dalam kemampuan siswa mendesain poster, melakukan editing video, mengunggah video ke akun YouTube, mengelola feed Instagram, serta merancang poster untuk memperingati Hari Ulang Tahun Republik Indonesia.

Abstract

Research on women migrant workers in East Nusa Tenggara intends to explore the dimensions of women's vulnerability that are often placed as disciplinary objects in the context and policies of labor migration. This research is described in the discourse of public policy confrontation with the moment of exploitation of women migrant workers in East Nusa Tenggara in the labor market between Indonesia and Malaysia. Indonesian women migrant workers experience vulnerability from recruitment in the upstream line to the placement location in neighboring Malaysia. Using the analytical tool from the perspective of alienation shows that every public policy scheme is not yet inclusive of the civic dimension. This research is based on the post-positivism paradigm using inductive logical reasoning, which implies the specification of the use of critical methods. The results show that pro-market policy choices marginalize the civic participation of women Indonesian migrant workers in East Nusa Tenggara, while alienating women and their work, women with their employers, and women with their civic identity per se. In summary, the significant number of women workers who are targeted by violence is a sign of moments of objectification, discrimination, and exploitation with gender, class, and even nationality-based identities.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pelatihan kepemimpinan tingkat dasar untuk pengurus Organisasi Siswa Intra Sekolah (OSIS) di SMAN 1 Mauponggo bertujuan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan kepemimpinan pada siswa yang bertanggung jawab dalam memimpin organisasi di sekolah mereka. Hal ini untuk membantu mereka mempelajari konsep, praktik yang efektif dalam konteks kepemimpinan OSIS. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah dengan analisis situasi, persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Selama pelatihan, peserta terlibat dalam berbagai aktivitas dan latihan yang melibatkan pemahaman konsep kepemimpinan, komunikasi efektif, dan strategi organisasi. Mereka belajar bagaimana berkomunikasi dengan baik dengan rekan-rekan mereka, mengorganisir kegiatan di sekolah, memotivasi siswa lain untuk berpartisipasi, dan mengambil keputusan yang tepat dan pentingnya etika kepemimpinan, seperti integritas, tanggung jawab, dan sikap positif. sehingga mereka dapat menjadi contoh yang baik bagi siswa lainnya dan membangun citra positif OSIS di sekolah. Di akhir pelatihan, peserta akan diberikan kesempatan untuk menerapkan keterampilan kepemimpinan baru mereka melalui program kerja OSIS. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengalaman praktis kepada mereka dalam mengelola program kerja , berkolaborasi dengan anggota tim, dan menghadapi tantangan yang mungkin muncul. Tujuannya adalah untuk memperkuat keterampilan kepemimpinan mereka serta memberikan kontribusi yang nyata bagi pengembangan sekolah. Pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan landasan yang kuat bagi mereka untuk menjadi pemimpin yang efektif dan dapat memberikan dampak positif dalam memajukan sekolah dan komunitas mereka. Kata Kunci: Kepemimpinan, Latihan Tingkat Dasar  ABSTRACT Basic level leadership training for Intra-School Student Organization (OSIS) administrators at SMAN 1 Mauponggo aims to develop leadership skills in students who are responsible for leading organizations in their schools. This is to help them learn concepts, effective practices in the context of student council leadership. The method used in this training is situation analysis, preparation, implementation and evaluation .During the training, participants are involved in various activities and exercises that involve understanding the concepts of leadership, effective communication, and organizational strategy. They learn how to communicate well with their peers, organize activities at school, motivate other students to participate, and make sound decisions and the importance of ethical leadership, such as integrity, responsibility, and a positive  attitude. so that they can set a good example for other students and build a positive image of the student council at school. At the end of the training, participants will be given the opportunity to apply their new leadership skills through the student council work program. This service aims to provide them with practical experience in managing work programs, collaborating with team members, and dealing with challenges that may arise. The aim is to strengthen their leadership skills as well as make a real contribution to school development. This dedication is expected to provide a strong foundation for them to become effective leaders and to have a positive impact in advancing their schools and communities. Keywords: Leadership, Basic Level Training

Abstract

This study focuses on examining structural and cultural indicators in understanding poverty among the people of Nenotes Village, Santian District, South Central Timor Regency. Using a descriptive qualitative method, the main research question is how structural and cultural indicators are manifested in understanding poverty in Nenotes Village. To analyze this issue, various measures from welfare theory are applied to capture the social and economic conditions of the community. The results show that structural indicators are related to policies that do not favor the people, income inequality, limited employment opportunities, and uneven economic structures. Meanwhile, cultural indicators are associated with individual behaviors such as laziness, low levels of education, and school dropout rates, as well as social behaviors including a consumptive culture, family burdens, and a lack of public awareness to improve welfare (an easy-going culture). Efforts to overcome poverty in Nenotes Village can be carried out by improving the quality of education and providing skills training for the community. The government needs to create broader employment opportunities and support the development of productive local enterprises. In addition, encouragement is needed for the community to change their mindset to become more independent and oriented toward improving welfare
