Abstract

Community Learning Center (CLC/PKBM) is one of the non-formal education units that provides a place for learning for the community with learning that formal education does not have. Establishing CLC is to organize learning that can improve the community's welfare through independent business competencies. Communities as learners have expectations of the learning obtained by providing them with previous experiences. However, not all CLCs can provide this experience. This results in problems for learners who are not motivated, cannot capture the information provided, and cannot take advantage of scientific opportunities to solve problems in their lives. Therefore, adaptive, innovative, and creative learning is needed to meet the needs of learners in order to be empowered. The cultivation of this type of aglaonema ornamental plant was chosen because this plant experienced an increase in fame during Covid-19. This is also because it is easy to care for, can be cultivated at home, and can clean dirty air. Based on these reasons, this aglaonema plant has the opportunity to become one of the entrepreneurs by learning from residents. The method used is andragogy in the form of training. In addition to training methods, resource persons' mentoring is also applied to learners. The results of this activity are increasing knowledge of aglaonema ornamental plant cultivation for CLC learners, increasing independent entrepreneurship skills for learners, fostering an attitude of responsibility, and having a high work ethic in facing challenges.

Abstract

Perpustakaan sebagai wadah penyedia ilmu pengetahuan dan informasi mempunyai peranan yang penting terhadap lembaga serta masyarakat penggunanya. Perpustakaan merupakan inti dari  pelaksanaan pendidikan pada lembaga sekolah. Sedangkan fungsi utamanya yaitu sebagai pusat sumber belajar, pusat sumber informasi dan pusat bacaan rekreasi dan pengisi waktu senggang. Berdasarkan identifikasi permasalahan yang telah dilakukan di SDN 2 Putukrejo, Kecamatan Kalipare, Kabupaten Malang ditemukan bahwa tidak tersedianya perpustakaan di SDN 2 Putukrejo. Melalui program kerja yang telah dirancang akan dilakukan beberapa tahapan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut antara lain: identifikasi kebutuhan pentingnya perpustakaan sekolah, menentukan tujuan program, menentukan alat dan media yang digunakan, pelaksanaan program, dan evaluasi. Upaya pengelolaan perpustakaan sekolah di SDN 2 Putukrejo mendapat respon positif baik dari pihak sekolah maupun masyarakat sekitar. Banyak dari siswa sekolah yang senang karena mereka akhirnya memiliki tempat yang nyaman untuk dapat membaca buku bacaan. Hal ini merupakan sebagian kecil dari upaya untuk meningkatkan literasi di sekolah dengan memperbanyak referensi bacaan dan mengelola tempat yang nyaman untuk tempat membaca.

Abstract

The english competency of orphan children are not as good as the students who have complete parents. The orphan children have no parents who can accompany them to study and to support them in studying. They are usually shy and afraid to say waht they need to everyone.So the orphan students need to be taught by an approach which can improve their english competency. Quali Interpersonal Surabaya Institution has a programme to the orphan children that can improve their English competency. They are taught by an andragogy approach with interpersonal communication. For that need the existence of research that able to see the result reach by the participants to the program of the application approach with interpersonal communication in English competency achievement. Research conducted to know the result of the application of andragogic approach with interpersonal communication counseling that can improve English competency at Quali International Surabaya institution seen from the process of training the Orphans. And also to describe the participation of participants in the program how to improve english competency by applying the Andragogy approach with interpersonal Communication Counseling in Quali International Surabaya Institution. The main problem to be known in this research that is to increase English competency by self concept, life experiences, learning readiness, learning orientation, need knowledge and motivation. This research used descriptive and qualitative method. The techniques of collecting data used in this research was interview, observations and documentation. The writer can conclude that the English training for increasing competency of the orphans, improvement can be seen from the changes of the learners before and after training orphans independently increase competency seen from indicators  of achievement of the results. They can pass the English competency examination which held by the certification institution in English competency.      Keywords : andragogy approach, interpersonal communication, english competency achiement

Abstract

Abstract: Mass media has significant roles in society and acts as a communicator as well as a pioneer of changes in the public environment that can influence society through messages in the form of information, and entertainment. According to Indonesian Internet Service Providers Association (Asosiasi Penyelenggara Jasa Internet Indonesia/APJII), people in the age range of 19-34 years old are the main users of the internet with a percentage of 49,52%, making the highest number of internet users are in their productive age. Therefore, along with the printed version, Majalah Komunikasi provides the website-based online flipbook. This research aims to make it easier for UM academic community to provide effective and practical services in obtaining information and the latest campus news. Through the implementation of this online flipbook, UM academic community will not miss the latest valid and in-depth campus information because it can be accessed remotely easily and practically as if opening a printed magazine but in a digital way. This study conducted the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) method. Other than facilitating academics in receiving the campus's latest information, this online flipbook is more economical because it is paperless and can save up more expenses. Besides, the implementation of the online flipbook can fulfill the requisitory data of Student Affair Ranking System (Sistem Pemeringkatan Kemahasiswaan/Simkatmawa) as a winner's additional contribution because through this online flipbook, Majalah Komunikasi won 1st place at a national level event, namely the Indonesia Print Media Awards (Isprima) organized by the Central Press Company Union (Serikat Perusahaan Pers/SPS). This will definitely impact Simkatmawa so that UM's national rank can be escalated. Keywords: publication media, online flipbook, magazine, website Abstrak: Media Massa mempunyai posisi sangat penting dalam kehidupan masyarakat dan berperan sebagai komunikator sekaligus menjadi pelopor perubahan dalam lingkungan publik yang dapat mempengaruhi masyarakat melalui pesan berupa informasi, hiburan. Berdasarkan survei yang dilakukan Asosiasi Penyelenggara Jasa Internet Indonesia (APJII), pengguna internet dilihat dari usia, rentang usia 19-34 tahun menjadi pengguna utama dengan persentase 49,52%, dengan demikian, pengguna internet tertinggi adalah usia produktif. Melalui penerapan flipbook online berbasis website, sivitas akademika UM tidak akan ketinggalan info terbaru kampus yang valid dan mendalam karna bisa diakses dari jarak jauh secara mudah dan praktis, seolah membuka majalah cetak pada umumnya, tapi dikemas digital. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode ADDIE, yaitu Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Disamping mempermudah sivitas akademika dalam mendapatkan informasi terkini kampus, flipbook online berbasis website ini juga menghemat pengeluaran keuangan UM, karena paperless, biaya yang seharusnya keluar ratusan juta, dapat dihemat menjadi beberapa juta rupiah saja; memenuhi kebutuhan Sistem Pemeringkatan Kemahasiswaan (Simkatmawa) sesbagai penambahan sumbangsih pemenang event kompetisi, karna lewat flipbook online ini majalah Komunikasi berhasil meraih juara 1 pada event tingkat nasional yaitu Indonesia Print Media Awards (Isprima) yang diselenggarakan oleh Serikat Perusahaan Pers (SPS) Pusat. Abstract

Accommodating the Free Learning program, the Department of Outdoor Education, Faculty of Education, State University of Malang (UM) actively facilitates students to develop their capabilities through curriculum development and implementation. The UM curriculum was developed and implemented using an experience-based learning approach based on project-based learning through Merdeka Learning Kampus Merdeka through the form of learning activities to build villages. According to Borg and Gall, the Design of Learning Innovation Development uses research development methods. Research Objectives Realizing the independent innovation model of learning to build villages based on experience project based learning in making YouTube video media managing village tourism labsite Department of Out-of-School Education. Conclusion: (1) Free Learning Guide and Innovation Module to Build Villages Based on Experience Project Bsed Learning in Making Youtube Media Management of Labsite Tourism Villages for the Department of Outdoor Education FIP UM has gone through the process of analyzing student learning needs in the independent learning program to build villages as a learning resource and material learning PLS, writing initial drafts of learning materials through making YouTube video media through project learning experience in managing village tourism labsite PLS Department, validating learning media experts and outside school education experts, revising input and suggestions from learning media experts and outside school education experts. (2) Based on data analysis on the results of content assessment and implementation of the use of guides and modules from learning media experts and outside school education experts on learning products through the creation of experience-based project-based learning YouTube video media in the management of labsite tourism villages of the PLS FIP UM Department, valid results were obtained ( no revision)

Abstract

Community empowerment is often carried out by change agents using various methods. Detailed, detailed and in-depth identification is the first step to empowering the community. The purpose of this study is to analyze the stages in community empowerment through digital-based local economic development in the era of society 5.0. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. The location of the research was carried out in the Labsite Village of the Department of Outer School Education with a total of three villages included in the Malang Regency area, namely Pait Village, Kasembon District, Benjor Village, Tumpang District, and Pujon Kidul Village, Pujon District. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman models which consist of three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the stages in community empowerment through digital-based local economic development are carried out in two ways, starting with strengthening a solid production ecosystem through four stages, namely; (1) identification, (2) inventory, (3) management and development of assets, and (4) building partnership networks to introduce products. Furthermore, building a sustainable business ecosystem. Then, building a sustainable digital-based business ecosystem with three stages, namely, (1) Maintaining and Creating a Market, (2) Forming a Solid Network, and (3) Product Expansion using Digital Media

Abstract

This article examines the quality assurance model implemented by Community Learning Center (CLC) Al-Madinah in Kediri City. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Research data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation techniques. Research data was analyzed using an interactive analysis model. The research results show that CLC Al-Madinah implements an internal quality assurance model that is participatory, collaborative and sustainable. This internal quality assurance model includes four stages, namely planning, implementation, assessment and improvement. This internal quality assurance model has several advantages and disadvantages that need to be considered and improved by CLC Al-Madinah and other non-formal institutions. This research provides several recommendations for CLC Al-Madinah and other non-formal institutions in improving the quality of educational services. This study also has several limitations that need to be addressed by future research.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the the altruistic-integrated Samawa local wisdom in Sumbawa’s Scout Movements as a model of character education. This research used a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method. The data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentary studies. The data analysis technique used the Miles and Huberman model with the following stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification. The findings indicate that the Samawa cultural values are inextricably linked to scout education. Samawa’s indigenous cultural values, which include kerik salamat (abundance of gratitude and faith), to and ila (knowledge and shame), concern for the nation and homeland, mutual values (togetherness), self-care, pamendi and penyadu (obedience to a code of conduct) are closely related to five altruistic characteristics, namely empathy, belief in a just world, social responsibility, internal locus of control, and low egocentrism. These findings indicate that Samawa’s indigenous wisdom, when combined with altruistic components, plays a significant role in learning, both in formal and non-formal education settings. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that various scouting activities, which were accompanied by the cultivation of the noble values of the Samawa culture, were effective in increasing students’knowledge about scouting. The results of the research analysis can serve as a guide for stakeholders interested in enhancing students’ character qualities in Indonesia.
