Abstract

The implementation of zoning policy through the regulations of Minister of Education and Culture No. 51 in 2018 raises new problems in Indonesia. Some of these problems are also experienced by people in Cimahi. This research is motivated by the need for the local government of Cimahi to restructure and rearrange the adequacy of State Elementary Schools graduates to enroll State Junior High Schools in Cimahi. This qualitative descriptive research was carried out by processing data, organizing, analyzing, summarizing, and describing the conditions as they are related to the zoning map data for the 2019/2020 academic year of Cimahi. Zoning map for the 2019/2020 school year, the draft of local regulations of Cimahi, and also Minister of Education and Culture No. 51 of 2018 r concerning admission of new students are processed and analyzed qualitatively to see how adequate the access of education at State Junior High Schools seen from the number of its graduates that can be accommodated, as the effect of zoning policy. From the results of data analyzing, the conclusions are: 1) there is not yet adequate access to education at the State Junior High School level when it is compared to the number of graduates from State Elementary Schools; 2) from the nine zones in the zoning map of Cimahi, there were only 6 graduates from State Elementary Schools that can be accommodated in State Junior High Schools; and 3) there are still a large number of Elementary Schools graduates for the 2019/2020 school year who have not been accommodated in the zoned State Junior High Schools. Therefore, from the result of this study, it can be recommended that the increase in the number off class units is still needed, and the development of New School Units for State Junior High Schools which refers to laws and regulations, which to organize the zoning system in Cimahi in the form of Mayor Regulations.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan mendeskripsikan mengenai keadaan Minangkabau pasca Perang Paderi dan respon rakyat Minangkabau mengenai praktik perjanjian Plakat Panjang, hingga munculnya gerakan menentang pajak yang diberlakukan oleh pemerintah kolonial pada awal abad ke-20. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kepustakaan (library research) yang terdiri dari 7 (tujuh) tahapan kegiatan, yakni: (1) memilih ide atau topik penelitian; (2) mencari informasi pendukung; (3) memfokuskan topik bahasan dan mengorganisasikan bahan bacaan; (4) mencari dan menemukan bahan-bahan pustaka; (5) mengorganisasikan bahan pustaka; (6) melakukan kajian terhadap bahan pustaka; dan (7) mereorganisasikan catatan pustaka. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perjanjian Plakat Panjang yang diberlakukan pada tahun 1833 merupakan strategi Belanda untuk menaklukkan rakyat Minangkabau. Selama rentang waktu paroh kedua abad ke-19 hingga awal abad ke-20 Belanda telah banyak merubah tatanan sosial masyarakat Minangkabau. Pemberlakukan pajak (Belasting) oleh Belanda pada awal abad ke-20 merupakan bentuk pelanggaran atas perjanjian Plakat Panjang. Merespon hal ini rakyat Minangkabau melakukan perlawanan. Daerah Kamang menjadi basis perlawanan menentang pajak tersebut, perlawanan ini dipimpin oleh tokoh agama dan adat salah satunya adalah Haji Abdul Manan.Abstract:  This study aims to explore and describe the state of Minangkabau after the Padri War and the response of the Minangkabau people regarding the practice of the Plakat Panjang agreement, until the emergence of the movement against taxes imposed by the colonial government in the early 20th century. This research uses library research method which consists of 7 (seven) stages of activity, namely: (1) choosing an idea or research topic; (2) seeking supporting information; (3) focusing on topics and organizing reading material; (4) searching and finding library materials; (5) organizing library materials; (6) conducting a study of library materials; and (7) reorganizing bibliography. The results of this study indicate that the Plakat Panjang agreement which was enacted in 1833 was a Dutch strategy to conquer the Minangkabau people. During the span of the second half of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century, the Dutch have changed the social order of the Minangkabau community. The imposition of taxes (Belasting) by the Dutch in the early 20th century was a violation of the Plakat Panjang agreement. Responding to this, the Minangkabau people fought back. The Kamang area became the basis of resistance against the tax, this resistance was led by religious and traditional leaders, one of which was Haji Abdul Manan.

Abstract

Tradisi Bubur Suro di Rancakalong Kabupaten Sumedang merupakan kearifan lokal sebagai wujud syukur masyarakat kepada Sang Pencipta serta memiliki fungsi dalam menjaga dan memelihara kesinambungan alam (suistainability). Penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi nilai-nilai kearifan ekologi yang terdapat dalam tradisi Bubur Suro. Masalah penelitian dirumuskan dalam dua pertanyaan penelitian yaitu: (1) Bagaimanakah proses pelaksanaan tradisi Bubur Suro? (2) Nilai-nilai kearifan ekologi apa yang terdapat dalam tradisi Bubur Suro? Metode penelitian adalah deskriftif kualitatif dengan model etnografi. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan terdapat nilai-nilai kearifan lokal dalam tradisi Bubur Suro yang berhubungan dengan upaya masyarakat dalam menjaga kesinambungan hubungan antara manusia dengan manusia, manusia dengan alam, serta manusia dengan sang pencipta. Upaya menjaga kesinambungan alam tampak dalam memelihara keanekaragaman hayati (sarebu rupa), kesinambungan (babasan sarereaeun), hidup hemat dan sederhana (konsep patih goah), hidup tertib dan teratur (tataliparanti, dawegan dipares), gotong-royong serta simbol kersa nyai  sebagai bentuk perlindungan terhadap tanaman lokal.  The Bubur Suro tradition in Rancakalong Sumedang is one of the local wisdoms which has a function as an expression of the gratitude of the people to the Creator for mantaining the suistainabality of the cosmos. This research's aims is to identify the values of ecological wisdom contained in Bubur Suro tradition. The problem is formulated into two research questions, namely: (1) How is the Bubur Suro tradition being perfomed? (2) What ecological wisdom values are found in it? The method used is descriptive qualitative method with ethnografic model. The results show that there are local wisdom values in the Bubur Suro tradition which was related to humans efforts to maintain the sustainability of harmonious relationship among fellow human beings, nature, and the Creator. Efforts to preserve the sustainability of nature are evident in maintaining biodiversity (sarebu form), sustainability (babasan sarereaeun), frugal and simple living (patih goah), well-ordered living (tataliparanti, dawegan dipares), mutual cooperation and the symbol of kersa nyai as a form of  protection of local plants.

Abstract

Komunitas Kabuyutan Cipageran Cimahi layaknya “museum” hidup yang menghubungkan masa lalu dan kini. Karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui asal-usul dan eksistensi Kabuyutan Cipageran. Metode penelitian sejarah yang dimulai dari heuristik sampai dengan historiografi merupakan tahapan yang tidak mudah dilewati, mengingat keterbatasan sumber, terutama sumber tertulis. Melalui teknik pengumpulan data berupa sumber tertulis/dokumentasi, wawancara terhadap empat narasumber yakni  pupuhu (tokoh), budayawan, wakil  komunitas kabuyutan,  dan observasi di lapangan, ditemukan bahwa Kabuyutan Cipageran diduga kuat mulai ada sejak zaman Kerajaan Sunda yang eksis antara akhir abad ke-7 sampai  akhir abad ke-16. Mengacu pada perjalanan sejarahnya, Kabuyutan Cipageran merupakan salah satu bukti adanya tempat leluhur Sunda, dan replika kampung Sunda tempo dulu. Amanat leluhur Sunda yang sangat dihormati oleh generasi penerusnya, menunjukkan nilai-nilai tinggi dan strategis  dalam kebudayaan, khususnya kebudayaan Sunda. Hasil penelitian tersebut diharapkan dapat menjawab  asal-usul Komunitas Kabuyutan  dan  sebagai  bahan awal yang tertulis untuk penelitian selanjutnya. Kabuyutan Cipageran Cimahi Community is like a living "museum" that connects the past and present. Therefore, this study aims to determine the origin and existence of Kabuyutan Cipageran. Historical research methods starting from heuristics to historiography are stages that are not easily passed, given the limited resources, especially written sources. From some techniques of collecting data; in the form of written or documentation sources, interviews with four speakers, pupuhu (figures), cultural observers, representatives of the Kabuyutan community, and observations in the field, it was found that Kabuyutan Cipageran was strongly suspected to have existed since the 7th century of Sunda Empire  to the end of the 16th century. Referring to its historical journey, Kabuyutan Cipageran is one proof of the existence of a Sundanese ancestral place, and a replica of the old Sundanese village. The mandate of Sundanese ancestors who are highly respected by their next generation shows high and strategic values in culture, especially Sundanese culture. The results of the study are expected to be able to answer the origins of the Kabuyutan Community as well as the starting written material for further research.

Abstract

This research is motivated by government instructions, namely learning from home (BDR), with these instructions, teachers are still confused about the right media, methods and strategies for online teaching and learning activities, so that learning activities are still teacher-centered resulting in the learning process feeling less fun and does not motivate students to learn so that they have not been able to grow creativity, both creative thinking and creativity. The general purpose of writing is to find out the use of Google Classroom in fostering student creativity. The method used in this research is descriptive verification. Based on the results of this study, it is known that the teacher has made a good lesson plan, then the application of Google Classroom can create a virtual classroom that creates a more effective communicative environment for teachers and students; The learning process using Google Classroom has been integrated with the use of the Creative Learning approach and the Video Critical Learning (VCL) learning model as well as lecture, assignment, discussion and question and answer methods. Google Classroom has also been integrated with Youtube, namely in the use of the chat feature in the Google Classroom forum/stream, this feature is useful because it can be a means of interaction between teachers and students or students with other students. In this feature students can express their creative opinions, can send video presentations that are integrated with Youtube as a result of their work to be watched, analyzed and commented on/criticized by other students; The use of Google Classroom-based LMS in fostering students' creativity has had a pretty good impact.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berangkat dari hasil penelitian terapan yang sudah dilakukan peneliti sebelumnya terkait dengan buku teks elektronik Sejarah Lokal Jawa Barat. E-book interaktif Sejarah Lokal Jawa Barat merupakan jawaban atas belum tersedianya buku teks Sejarah Lokal Jawa Barat di sisi lain juga dikemas untuk meningkatkan literasi digital peserta didik memasuki era revolusi industri 4.0. Selain itu, guru memerlukan peningkatan kemampuan teoritis dan praktis terkait pemanfaatan e-book interaktif Sejarah Lokal Jawa Barat untuk pembelajaran daring di era Pandemi Covid 19. Kegiatan ini menggunakan pendekatan in-on service training dengan sasaran guru-guru Sejarah SMA/SMK yang tersebar di 40 sekolah (diwakili 40 guru) di Kabupaten Garut. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam : a) memahami bahan ajar interaktif elektronik dalam pembelajaran daring Sejarah; b) mengembangkan materi Sejarah Lokal Jawa Barat dalam mata pelajaran Sejarah, dan c) memanfaatkan e-book interaktif Sejarah Lokal Jawa Barat dalam pembelajaran daring Sejarah.

Abstract

The study aims to describe students' perspectives on the values of character education as entrepreneurs from teaching materials for learning historical figures. The value of character education as an entrepreneur is a must for students as a form of relevance in facing the global era. This research used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were collected by observation, and questionnaires were distributed online to 50 students taking entrepreneurship courses at Padalarang 2 Public High School, West Bandung. Data were presented as average values and percentages, then narrated according to additional observational data. The data analysis process included data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The study's results found four values of character education as entrepreneurs from the four stories of historical figures (entrepreneurs), namely creative, courageous, survival and independent. This finding is relevant to the value of character education mandated in implementing the educational process in Indonesia. This study presents different findings due to the concept of the value of character education aimed at building graduates as entrepreneurs and being able to create jobs. It means that the values of character education that must be understood can be applied to various fields of human life by current global needs.

Abstract

In the field of history education, there are still educators who rely primarily on themselves as the main source of knowledge. However, history learning resources are diverse and encompass a wide range of materials based on historical content, which can be utilized based on the teacher’s creativity. This study aims at identifying and evaluating the use historical content-based history learning resources, both in theory and in practical implementation. To achieve this, a literature review was conducted, involving the collection of data from books, journals, notes, research reports, and internet sources. The process involved identification, conceptualization, and interpretation of the gathered information. The analysis reveals that historical content-based history learning resources exist on a continuum between conventional and modern sources. Rather than being mutually exclusive, these sources can complement each other. The discussion incorporates Edgar Dale's Cone of Experiences theory and examines benchmarks such as national archives and museums, as well as the History Education Doctoral Study Program of Faculty of Social Sciences Education (FPIPS) of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). In conclusion, historical content-based history learning resources offer an alternative approach that provides valuable insights to history educators beyond the confines of formal classroom settings. Educators can utilize both newly designed history learning resources and existing resources tailored to their specific needs and learning objectives

Abstract

This research is entitled “Surastri Karma Trimurti: Sued the Right of Woman Laborers of Indonesia 1945-1954”. This research is the interest of author in the role of S.K Trimurti in defending the rights of women laborers in Indonesia in 1945-1954. The purpose of this research are, 1) Describe the the social-economic woman laborers in Indonesia 1930-1944; 2) Describe the background of S.K Trimurti’s life; 3) Describe how was the efforts of S.K Trimurti for the right of Indonesian woman laborers in 1945-1954; 4) Describe the impact of S.K Trimurti’s struggled on the rights of indonesian woman laborers 1948-1954. This research using the History Method, there are: Heuristics, Critics, and Historiography. The research technic which is used in this paper is literature study by using the relevant books. Based on th research, there was few results. First, The condition of woman laborers during the Dutch and Japanese occupations showed injustice, The condition of women workers is still very apprehensive with various actions that are inconsistent with the dignity of women workers as laborers. Second, some activists who fought for the rights of women laborers as one of the workers were S.K Trimurti who had contributed to the fight before and after independence. Third, the efforts of S.K Trimurti were demonstrated for the welfare and prosecution of justice for women laborers in Indonesia, especially regarding wages and reproductive rights. Fourth is the impact of the struggle was contained in the Work Act of 1948 even until now a legal guideline in the field of labor.

Abstract

Pangeran Aria Soeria Atmadja was a Sumedang’s Regent figure who came from a royal family. When he became Sumedang’s Regent in 1883-1919, he received a lot of prizes from Netherland Colonial Government. This research highlighted the question, “How was the Role of Pangeran Aria Suriaatmadja as a Sumedang’s Regent in 1883-1919?”. During his leadership, Pangeran Aria Soeria Atmadja issued various policies to the Sumedang’s people, such as school development policy in the entire villages of Sumedang Regency, planting Palawija policy, the making of protected forest policy, themaking of upper-class bank and coaching for Sumedang civil servant dan its people. During 32 years of leadership, the prosperity of Sumedang’s people increased and had lots of impacts. Nevertheless, it is interesting to conduct a deeper study of Pangeran Aria Soeria Atmadja’s policies that brought prosperities to Sumedang’s people. This study is expected become a reference for other researchers that will conduct a study about the Role of Pangeran Aria Soeria Atmadja when he became Sumedang Regent because there are lots of aspects that have not explored further by the researcher.
