Abstract

Kesadaran lingkungan di tengah masalah-masalah lingkungan era industri 4.0 yang mencemaskan tentunya sangatdiperlukan. Untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran lingkungan yang dimulai dari masa sekolah atau lingkungan pendidikan,pemerintah Indonesia membuat suatu kebijakan dimana sekolah mesti menjalankan kampanye Peduli dan BerbudayaLingkungan Hidup di Sekolah (PBLHS). Sekolah yang berhasil menjalankan berbagai poin-poin kampanye perbaikanligkungan ini kemudian mendapat penghargaan Adiwiyata dari pemerintah dinas lingkungan. Tentunya kampanyePBLHS ini perlu diteliti guna mengetahui bukti keberhasilannya. Adanya penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukurbesaran pengaruh kampanye Peduli dan Berbudaya Lingkungan Hidup di Sekolah (PBLHS) terhadap kesadaranlingkungan sivitas SMP Negeri 2 Banjaran kabupaten Bandung yang telah meraih gelar sekolah Adiwiyata Nasional.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan populasi sebanyak 1266 yang terdiri dari siswa-siswi dan guruSMP Negeri 2 Banjaran dengan sampel yang diambil sebanyak 304 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanyapengaruh yang signifikan dan positif dari kampanye PBLHS terhadap kesadaran lingkungan Sivitas SMP 2 Banjarandengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 45%, nilai konstanta sebesar 12,983 dan koefisien regresi variabel kampanyesebesar 0,428. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa dijalankannya kampanye pro-lingkungan di sekolah dengan memperhatikanisi pesan, struktur pesan, aktor dan saluran kampanye yang tepat, terbukti berpengaruh positif terhadap kesadaranlingkungan para sivitas sekolah yang menjalankannya.Kata kunci: kampanye lingkungan, kesadaran lingkungan

Abstract

The research objective is to find out how the environmental communication is applied on the Instagram account ofDLH DKI Jakarta. Jakarta faces various environmental problems such as air pollution, flooding, and suboptimal wastemanagement. The DKI Jakarta Environmental Agency (DLH) as a government institution utilizes Instagram as amedium to disseminate information and raise public awareness about environmental issues. This study aims to explorehow environmental communication is conducted by DLH DKI Jakarta through Instagram in addressing environmentalproblems. The research uses a qualitative approach with an instrumental case study type and constructivist paradigm.Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The analysis refers to Foulger(2004) Ecological Model of the Communication Process, which includes elements such as message creators, media,language, audience feedback, and the relationship between sender and receiver. The findings show that DLH DKIJakarta applies a structured and adaptive communication strategy through visual and educational content, with twoway interaction between the agency and the public. The study concludes that social media, especially Instagram, canserve a communication tool to build public awareness and participation in environmental issues.Keywords: Environmental communication, Instagram, Environmental Agency, Jakarta, Social Media

Abstract

Environmental problems that are increasing every year with significant levels of pollution and water pollution can disrupt thelearning system and require steps from educators to reduce and create a healthy environment. The emergence of GreenCampus is a university's effort to integrate sustainability principles in all operational and academic aspects. The focus of theresearch is to find out Telkom University's environmental communication strategy in implementing green campus. Qualitativeresearch methods were used with in-depth interviews with key informants, expert informants, and supporting informants, aswell as observation and literature study.The results showed that Telkom University has carried out various environmentalcommunication strategies through various media such as social media and electronic flyers. However, the communication stillfaces challenges related to the level of awareness of the academic community and the lack of formal documentation in theevaluation. Nonetheless, this initiative shows economic potential through circular economy-based waste management andecosystem development. This research recommends improving communication strategies that are more structured and involveall elements of the campus to optimally achieve Green Campus goals.Keywords: Environmental Communication Strategy, Green Campus, Telkom University’s Green Campus, Environment.
