Abstract

Selada merah merupakan sayuran sumber vitamin dan  nutrisi penting lainnya seperti zat besi, kalsium, folat, dan serat. Selada merupakan jenis sayur yang banyak dibudidayakan secara hidroponik (soil less cultivation). Faktor penentu keberhasilan hidroponik adalah penyediaan nutrisi. Nutrisi AB mix merupakan produktivitas tanaman yang sangat bergantung pada ketersediaan nutrisi pada tanaman. Zat pengatur tumbuh adalah zat yang diproduksi secara artifisial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian nutrisi AB Mix+ZPT dan jenis media tanam terhadap pertumbuhan selada merah secara hidroponik. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Rumah kasa Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Malikussaleh Kabupaten Aceh Utara yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni sampai Juli 2021. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap 2 faktor. Faktor pertama adalah dosis nutrisi AB Mix plus ZPT yang terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu : nutrisi AB mix 0 ml/liter+ZPT 2 ml/liter air (N0), nutrisi AB mix 2.5 ml/l+ZPT 2 ml/l, nutrisi AB mix 5 ml/l+ZPT 2 ml/liter air, dan nutrisi AB mix 7,5 ml/liter+ZPT 2 ml/liter air. Faktor kedua adalah jenis media tanam yang terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu: pasir, rock wool, dan arang sekam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian nutrisi AB Mix+ZPT dan jenis media berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil selada merah secara hidroponik. Interaksi perlakuan hara dengan AB Mix+ZPT dan jenis media berpengaruh terhadap komponen hasil yaitu tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun,  kandungan klorofil, bobot segar total, bobot segar daun. Kombinasi perlakuan nutrisi AB Mix 5 ml/l+ZPT 2 ml/l dan pasir memberikan nilai komponen rendemen terbaik. The role of AB Mix-Plus Nutrition and Media Types on The Growth of Red Lettage (Lactuca sativa) in a Substrate Hydroponic System Red lettuce is a vegetable source of vitamins and other beneficial nutrients such as iron, calcium, folate, and fiber. Lettuce is a type of vegetable which is widely cultivated by hydroponic system. Hydroponics is an alternative to cultivation without soil media (soil-less cultivation). The determining factor for the success of hydroponics is the provision of nutrients. AB mix nutrition is plant productivity that is highly dependent on the availability of nutrients in plants. Growth regulators are substances that are produced artificially. This study aims to determine the effect of nutrient application AB Mix+ZPT and the type of growing media on the growth of red lettuce hydroponically. This research was conducted at the Screen House of the Faculty of Agriculture, Malikussaleh University, North Aceh Regency, which was held from June to July 2021. The study was conducted using a 2-factor Completely Randomized Design method. The first factor is the dose of nutrition AB Mix plus ZPT  which consists of 4 levels, namely: nutrition AB mix 0 ml/liter+ZPT 2 ml/liter water (N0), nutrition AB mix 2.5 ml/liter+ZPT 2 ml/liter of water, nutrition AB mix 5 ml/liter+ZPT 2 ml/liter water, and nutrition AB mix 7.5 ml/liter+ZPT 2 ml/liter water. The second factor is the type of planting medium which consists of 3 levels, namely: sand, rock wool, and husk charcoal. The results showed that the provision of AB Mix+ZPT nutrition and the type of media affected the growth and yield of red lettuce hydroponically. The interaction of nutrient treatment with AB Mix+ZPT and media type affected the yield components, namely plant height, number of leaves,  chlorophyll content, total fresh weight, leaf fresh weight. The combination of N2M1 treatment (AB Mix nutrients 5 ml/liter+ZPT 2 ml/liter water and sand media) gave the best yield component value.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the application of biocompost and mycorrhizae fungi on chemical properties of inceptisol soil and root infection on purple corn plants.  This research was conducted in October-December 2020 at Experimental Garden, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Malikussaleh in Reuleut Village, Muara Batu District, Aceh Utara, employing Randomized Block Design (RBD) Factorial with 2 factors observed.  The first factor observed was different doses of biocompost: B0 (0 ton/ha, 0 g/plot), B1 (5 tons/ha, 1500 g/plot), B2 (10 tons/ha, 3000 gr/plot) and B3 (15 tons/ha, 4500 gr/plot). The second factor was M0 (0 ton/ha, 0 gr/plot, 0 g/plant), M1 (0.25 tons/ha, 75 g/plot, 5 g/plant) dan M2 (0,5 ton/ha, 150 g/plot, 10 g/plant).  The results indicated that the application of biocompost together with mycorrhizae has increased soil pH from 5.0 to 5.5 and the application of biocompost alone has improved the organic C (1.58% to 2.98%) and the application of mycorrhizae improved the root infection by 90%. The application of 5 ton/ha biocompost and 0.5 ton/ha mycorrhizae were to be found to be the best doses to improve the chemical properties of inceptisol soil and mycorrhizal infection.Keywords: biocompost, inceptisols, purple corn, mycorrhizal fungi

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi biochar dan pemberian  mikoriza pada tanah inseptisol dalam pengembangan tanaman jagung pulut ungu/Dark purple waxy corn (Zea mays L. var ceratina Kulesh). Pada penelitian ini digunakan   rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) pola  faktorial 3 ulangan yang terdiri dari faktor pemberian biochar (B) terdiri dari  0 t/ha, 2 t/ha, 4 t/ha dan faktor mikoriza (M) 0 t/ha, 0.35 t/ha, 0.65 t/ha. Data hasil pengamatan dianalisis secara statistik dan apabila berpengaruh nyata dan sangat nyata, maka dilakukan uji lanjut dengan menggunakan Duncan (DMRT).  Aplikasi biochar sebagai pembenah tanah yang dapat memperbaiki sifat fisik tanah yang dikombinasikan dengan pemberian fungi mikoriza dan pupuk hayati pada lahan inseptisol dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan tinggi tanaman. Pertumbuhan jagung tertinggi diperoleh pada dosis biochar 2 t/ha.  Seiring dengan meningkatnya dosis pupuk biokompos+mikoriza terdapat penurunan tinggi dan kandungan klorofil tanaman jagung pada tanah inseptisol Reuleut.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Reuleut Barat is a village assisted by Malikussaleh University which is classified Inceptisol soil as sub-optimal land that has a low pH and comes from low of organic matter. The low quality of land in the West Reuleut area as marginal land that is less productive has an impact on the low income and welfare of its people. The limitations of productive land can be overcome by the application of biotechnology innovations by utilizing microorganisms through the application of organic fertilizers. Organic fertilizers can be obtained from a waste processing process known as the 3R (reuse, reduce and recycle). Making eco-fermentation is done by sorting household waste as an initial step in producing organic fertilizer by processing vegetable waste materials such as fruit peels such as papaya, pineapple, oranges which are added with molasses as an activator of microorganisms in the fermentation process so that the final product obtained is a liquid that is easy to use in its application to the ground. The application of Eco-fermentation fertilizers as organic materials containing microflora has a role in increasing the activity of marginal soil microorganisms into productive land through the weathering process of soil organic matter which can improve the physical, chemical, and biological properties of the soil so that ultimately it can increase soil fertility which can increase crop production of Reuleut Barat village. Abstract

Budidaya jamur kuping (Black jeli/Auricularia auricular Judae) menghadapi hambatan karena terbatasnya pemunculan dan komposisi media dalam budidaya jellymushroom hitam yang baik dan memenuhi persyaratan yang berkembang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan tingkat pertumbuhan miselia dan hasil dari kaldu kacang hijau dan teknik inokulasi jamur jelly hijau. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Jalan Pulo Rungkom, Kecamatan Dewantara, Kabupaten Aceh Utara, dari bulan Februari sampai Mei 2018. Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dari 2 faktor dengan 3 ulangan digunakan. Faktor pertama adalah penggunaan kaldu kacang hijau (K) yang terdiri dari K0 (tanpa kaldu kacang hijau) K1 (25 ml kaldu kacang hijau) K2 (50 ml kaldu kacang hijau) K3 (75 ml kacang hijau kaldu). Faktor kedua adalah teknik inokulasi (I) yang terdiri dari I1 (tanpa meninju) I2 (meninju). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian kaldu kacang hijau dan teknik inokulasi memiliki pengaruh yang sangat signifikan terhadap kecepatan pertumbuhan miselia tetapi tidak secara signifikan mempengaruhi waktu ketika pin kepala muncul, bobot segar dari tubuh buah dari panen 1 dan 2, diameter tubuh buah dari panen pertama dan kedua. Ada interaksi antara perlakuan kaldu kacang hijau dan teknik inokulasi pada kecepatan tumbuh miselium memenuhi baglog.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is observe the effect of rice husk addition on various growing media on its growth and yield of white oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus). This research used Complete Random Design (CRD) Factorial consisting of 2 factors with 3 replications. The first factor is the various media planting (M). Media of sawdust sengon (M1); Rice straw; M2 and dried banana leaf (M3). The second factor is the supply of rice husks consisting of. Without the provision of rice husk (P0); Provision of 10% rice husk (P1); Provision of rice husk 20% (P2). The best planting medium was found in the treatment of sawdust wood media sengon (M1). Besides, the addition of rice husk concentration has significant effect on all observation parameters. The best result was found in 20% rice husk. The interaction between treatment of planting media and rice husk giving significant effect on first harvest, the body diameter of fruit of first harvest and body diameter of fruit of second harvest

Abstract

The mushroom in the Acehnese language is called the bowl/addy straw mushroom (Volvariella volvaceae) including the most well known fungi among several species of mushrooms cultivated in Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to study the effect of the thickness of the casing and the composition of the media on the yield of mushroom (Volvariella volvaceae) using a Factorial Randomized Design with three replications. The first factor is the composition of the media and the second factor is the thickness of the casing. Data analysis was done by using SAS V9.12 software and advanced test with Duncan test at 5% level. This experiment showed that there is a significant effect on the interaction between the treatment of the media composition and the thickness treatment of the casing (K1C1 and K0C1) on the head body weight per harvest period, and there is no interaction with other variables. While the composition of the media singularly significant effect on the length of the fruit body and the number of fruit body in the treatment of the composition of oil palm empty bunches + lime + bran + cornflour (K1). In other variables, although statistically not yet showing the difference, but on average it appears that the medium of oil palm empty bunches + lime + bran + cornflour (K1) has the frequency of harvest, fruit body diameter, fruit body length and total body weight and fruit weight is higher than the treatment others. While the average appearance of mushroom pin head of the highest value is in treatment (K0). Average treatment without casing (C0) in addition to affect the body length of the fruit (fruting body) also gives the highest value on the appearance of pin head (going to fruit body), harvest frequency, body diameter. While the appearance of the pin head, the number of fruit body and body weight of mushroom fruit perang has the highest value on the 5 cm thickness casing treatment (C1)

Abstract

This study aims to compare the active compound of Paraquat and Atrazine herbicides applied for weed controlling between plant spacing of corn. The research was conducted in Paya Beunyot Village, Banda Baro Regency North Aceh from July to September 2019, and continued with Samples analysis at the Agroecotechnology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Malikussaleh. The experimental design used was a factorial randomized block design; herbicides type of paraquat with a concentration of 1.38 kg/ha, atrazine concentration 1.2 kg/ha and the second factor were plant spacing (P): P1= plant spacing of 50x30 cm, P2= plant spacing of 60x25 cm, P3= plant spacing of 75x20 cm. The results showed that herbicide applied had a very significant effect on weed wet weight, dry weight, percentage of weeds under control and phytotoxicity of weeds. The results showed the interspace of the plant gave a very significant increase in seeds weight either per plant and per plot. The result of variance analysis showed there was no interaction between herbicides utilize and planting distance in all observed variables.Keywords; Corn (Zea mays L.), herbicide, plant spacing

Abstract

The cultivation of mushroom in Nisam Subdistrict is constrained by several factors, such as the limited ability of biotechnology breeding and cultivation, marketing and capital. After harvesting, planting media left without any further processing. Moreover, partner farmers has obstacles in terms of marketing and capital limitations for business development. Mushroom cultivation activity was doing by a farmer group "Jamur Nismara" and a farmer group "Tani Jamur" had to stop since the end of 2014 as a consequence. Activities devotion aims to revive the activities of mushroom cultivation that has been there with the technique of better management. The goal to be achieved is a group of reliable and independent farmers. Therefore, the farmers should have knowledge and skills about biotechnology of mushroom cultivation starting from breeding, making the ideal kumbung, correct the cultivation process and processing of planting media waste into compost fertilizer which have an economic value. Farmers must have the ability to access information, especially related to marketing. The methods used are counselling and direct implementation / practice by involving all group members. The results are farmers have kumbung and cultivation ability, marketing, and processing waste media. Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of biochar and mycorrhizal fungi in increasing soil fertility Inceptisols as suboptimal soil, which are poor in nutrients, low in carbon, and phosphorus, are suitable for planting of purple pulut corn (Zea mays ceratina Kulesh). This study used a randomized block design (RAK) with a factorial pattern of 3 replications, namely the dose of biochar (B) 0 t/h, 2 t/h, 4 t/h, and mycorrhizae (M) with a dose of 0 t/h, 0.2 t/h, 0.4 t/h. The data obtained were further tested with Duncan's multiple range test at a level of 5%. The application of biochar and mycorrhizae affected the number of leaves, days of flowering for males and females, and rows of This study aims to determine the role of rice husk biochar and mycorrhizal fungi in increasing soil fertility. Inceptisols, which are poor in nutrients, low in carbon, and phosphorus, are suitable for planting. There is an interaction in the administration of biochar 2 t/h + mycorrhiza 0.2 t/h on rows per row of purple pulut corn cobs. The application of biochar and mycorrhizae can overcome land infertility and provide the nutrients suitable for crops for supporting sustainable agriculture.
