Abstract

Palm oil mill effluent (POME) and oil palm empty fruit bunches (OPEFB) represent two major waste streams in the palm oil industry that pose serious environmental challenges but also offer significant opportunities for renewable energy generation. This review comprehensively discusses the development of biogas production from POME through anaerobic digestion (AD) and explores the prospects of co-digestion with OPEFB to improve system efficiency and sustainability. A systematic literature survey of over 150 publications from the past four decades was conducted to evaluate technological evolution, operational parameters, methane yield, and environmental implications. The review identifies five major phases of POME biogas development—from early feasibility studies in the 1980s to the current exploitation phase integrating energy recovery, carbon credit schemes, and circular bioeconomy principles. Anaerobic digestion of POME in covered lagoon systems has achieved COD removal efficiencies exceeding 90% and methane yields of 0.28–0.34 Nm³ CH₄ per kg COD removed, supporting electricity generation potentials above 1 GW nationwide. Meanwhile, co-digestion with OPEFB enhances process stability, optimizes the C/N ratio, and improves methane production by 20–40% depending on substrate ratio and pretreatment. The integration of POME–OPEFB co-digestion can substantially reduce greenhouse gas emissions and provide value-added biofertilizers, thereby strengthening the environmental and economic sustainability of palm oil mills. Despite technological advances, several challenges remain, including high investment cost, OPEFB pretreatment, and limited policy support for grid connection. Further development of scalable, low-cost digesters and biogas upgrading systems is essential to realize the full potential of biogas as a renewable energy pathway within the palm oil sector.

Abstract

DIII Nursing Study Programme students as prospective nurses must have good knowledge and skills in performing Basic Trauma Cardiac Life Support (BTCLS) actions, this is very important because BTCLS actions are carried out to help victims with cardiac arrest both at the hospital and outside the hospital. This study aims to determine the description of the evaluation of the value of knowledge and skills of BTCLS by students when attending training and post-training duration. The research method used was descriptive. Instruments with questionnaires to assess knowledge and observation sheets to see the value of skills. The sample in this study consisted of 58 respondents who were taken in each batch, namely batches 2021, 2022 and 2023. The results of this study were obtained from the evaluation of the value of BTCLS knowledge and skills which increased after training.The existence of a significant effect on the difference in treatment given to each variable is indicated by a sign ificance value of 0.042 < 0.005 in the 2021 results, and a significant value of 0.000 < 0.005 in 2022, while in 2023 the significant results show 0.000 < 0.005. Based on the results it can be concluded that there is an increase in knowledge and BLS skills. This study shows that the BTCLS training that has been carried out affective has a significant impact on participants.

Abstract

This research analyzes about the strategy carried out by the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) as the national cybersecurity institute. In this research, the author utilizes the Theory of Securitization and The Concept of Cybersecurity. Based on the data obtained, BSSN was formed by the Presidential Regulation on BSSN which state that BSSN is tasked with implementing cybersecurity effectively and efficiently by utilizing, developing and consolidating all parties related to cybersecurity. BSSN used the Global Cybersecurity Index framework to improve the national cybersecurity capability. The GCI measures the commitment of countries in cybersecurity according to the five pillars: legal measures, technical measures, organizational measures, capacity development, and cooperative measures. The strategy of BSSN is expected to be able to face the problems and challenges in the present and future era. Abstract

Telur merupakan bahan pangan yang tergolong cepat rusak. Oleh sebab itu sehingga perlu memerlukan dilakukan penanganan secara tepat untuk mempertahankan kualitasnya. Penyimpanan dingin dapat menjaga kualitas telur dan meningkatkan daya simpan. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah mengevaluasi kualitas telur konsumsi dengan suhu penyimpanan dingin yang berbeda melalui uji organoleptik. Rancangan penelitian yaitu Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 ulangan. Jenis telur pada penelitian yaitu telur ayam ras, telur itik dan telur puyuh kemudian disimpan pada suhu dingin (5°C, 10°C dan 15°C) selama 60 hari. Parameter uji organoleptik yang diamati terdiri dari rasa, aroma, warna dan tekstur. Hasil penelitian yaitu telur yang disimpan pada suhu 5°C, 10°C dan 15°C tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap aroma, warna, rasa dan tesktur telur pada tingkat kesukaan panelis. Aroma telur itik dinilai lebih amis daripada telur ayam dan telur itik. Warna kuning telur itik lebih terang dibandingkan telur ayam dan telur puyuh. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah uji organoleptik dari aroma, warna, rasa dan tekstur pada telur pada penyimpanan dingin selama 60 hari masih dapat diterima atau disukai oleh panelis.

Abstract

The evolving dynamics of global security demand continuous adaptation and capability enhancement by the armed forces, making strategic leadership and military training essential. This study analyzes how strategic leadership influences training implementation and improves military performance, identifies existing challenges, and formulates optimization strategies. Using a qualitative approach with insights from key informants, the findings reveal that strategic leadership plays a pivotal role through experience, adaptability, communication, and organizational culture. However, challenges persist, including inadequate leader qualifications, substandard facilities, administrative complexity, and limited managerial human resources. The study concludes that strengthening strategic leadership is vital for enhancing training effectiveness. Optimization efforts should focus on comprehensive data provision, enforcing high-quality standards, selecting competent leaders, and improving leadership roles in training governance planning to significantly boost armed forces performance.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan dan mengaplikasikan budidaya sayuran menggunakan teknologi hidroponik kepada anak-anak usia dini. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di TK IT Insan Taqwa di Desa Sidosari, Kecamatan Natar, Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan merancang, membuat dan menginstal perangkat budidaya hidroponik sistem ABC menggunakan pipa PVC 3 inchi sepanjang 16 m yang dilengkapi dengan ember kapasitas 80 L, pompa 125 W, dan timer analog 15 menitan. Setelah instalasi perangkat hidroponik, kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan pelatihan budidaya hidroponik yang disertai praktek penanaman sayuran selada. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa setelah kurang lebih 4minggu, tanaman selada tumbuh dengan baik yang ditunjukkan oleh figur tanaman yang segar dan besar. Pada akhir minggu ke-5, tanaman selada dipanen oleh para. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan ini berjalan dengan sukses yang ditunjukkan dari indikator keberhasilan yang meliputi (1) tersedianya satu unit kit hidroponik,(2) terlaksananya kegiatan sosialisasi dan praktek budidaya hidroponik, (3) terlaksananya budidaya hidroponik yang dikerjakan oleh guru dan siswa TK IT Insan Taqwa dari penanaman hingga panen.
