Abstract

Mathematical modeling is the process of solving a problem in the real world by simplifying it into mathematical form. Mathematical modeling skills are very useful for students in developing knowledge and deepening their concepts. In learning, this ability is needed in solving contextual problems. However, many students have difficulty in simplifying problems into mathematical models, especially in the material of the Two-Variable Linear Equation System (SPLDV). Applying the Problem Based Learning model is one of the efforts to improve students' mathematical modeling skills. This research uses a quantitative approach and uses a Pre-Experimental Design type of One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. This study involved all VIII grade students in one of the schools in Aceh Besar. 31 students were selected as samples, and random sampling technique was used. . The instrument in this study was a test question on mathematical modeling ability. Furthermore, one-party t-test was used to analyze the data obtained. The results showed that the Problem Based Learning model improved students' mathematical modeling skills on SPLDV material. It is important for teachers to continue to hone students' modeling skills by getting students used to solving everyday problems using mathematical models so as to improve students' mathematical modeling skills. Improving students' modeling skills is one of the strategies to develop students' mathematical problem solving skills which are the foundation of meaningful learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze Public Relations Strategies in Marketing at PT. Duta Putra Wisata Palembang. The research focuses on how public relations strategies are implemented in the company’s marketing efforts, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors in marketing the company to the public. This study was conducted at PT. Duta Putra Wisata Palembang using a descriptive qualitative research method. The informants in this research were public relations personnel, company leaders, and employees. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis involved data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data was ensured using source triangulation and technique triangulation. The analysis results indicate that public relations strategies in marketing at PT. Duta Putra Wisata Palembang are being implemented but have not yet reached their full potential. Continuous improvements to the strategies in use are necessary. With optimized strategies, it is hoped that PT. Duta Putra Wisata Palembang will grow further and be able to compete with other companies

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of supervision of the performance of education personnel at SMP Negeri 11 Palembang by comparing the implementation of activities with the standards that have been set. Supervision in the context of education is known as supervision, where school supervisors have an important role in coaching and assessment both in academic and managerial aspects. In this study, the researcher uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research respondents included the Principal, Vice Principal, Administrative Staff, and Head of Library. Data analysis was carried out by data reduction techniques, data presentation, and conclusion drawn, and data validity tests using source triangulation and techniques. The results of the study show that supervision is carried out regularly and systematically, with a focus on timeliness, quality, quantity, and cooperation of education personnel. The principal directly monitors and compares the work results with the set standards, as well as provides feedback for performance improvement. The findings of the study reveal that the measurement of the implementation of activities plays an important role in maintaining the quality of performance, improving discipline, and creating a professional work culture. Supervision that is carried out well not only functions as an evaluation tool, but also as a means to increase the motivation and competence of education personnel. This study recommends that the supervision and measurement practices applied at SMP Negeri 11 Palembang can be adopted by other schools to improve the overall quality of education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pelayanan baik dari sumber daya manusia, organisasi birokrasi, serta ketepatan waktu untuk menilai efektif tidaknya dari sebuah pelayanan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi untuk mengeksplorasi pelaksanaan sistem tersebut.Teknik pengiumpulan data yang digunakan dalam analisis data adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Uji keabsahan data penelitian ini menggunakan triangulasi sumber, dan triangulasi teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pelayanan terpadu satu pintu (PTSP) memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap bidang pelayanan, seperti memangkas waktu, menghindari dana liar yang tidak diperlukan, dan mewujudkan pelayanan publik yang cepat, terbuka, serta efektif. Sistem ini dilaksanakan secara terstruktur dengan dukungan dari pemerintah dengan kebijakan yang mendukung dari PTSP ini, sarana yang memadai, tatakelola manajemen yang baik, serta anggaran yang didukung. Kendala yang dihadapi juga meliputi sumber daya manusia yang belum cukup baik, organisasi birokrasi yang masih kurang baik, serta keterbatasan waktu dalam melayani dari pihak kepala madrasah

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Palembang using a qualitative descriptive approach. This research involves subject teachers, madrasah heads, curriculum waka, and students as key and supporting informants. Data collection was carried out using semi-structured interview techniques, non-participatory observation, and documentation. The data obtained was analyzed through four stages: data reduction, data display, data verification, and drawing conclusions to describe the implementation of the curriculum in depth. The results of research related to the implementation of the Independent Curriculum at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Palembang show a significant impact on students' academic and social performance. Academically, curriculum flexibility allows students to choose topics and learning methods according to their interests, leading to improved academic understanding and skills. Project-based and research-based learning methods develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as evidenced by better academic outcomes and increased achievement. On the social side, the curriculum strengthens collaboration and communication skills between students through group projects and community activities. This increases students' sense of community and confidence, as well as their participation in extracurricular activities. However, challenges such as unequal access to resources and limited teacher training need to be addressed. With adequate support and periodic evaluation, the positive impact of the Independent Curriculum is expected to be maximized, encouraging the holistic development of students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Palembang.
