Abstract

Penelitian ini terfokus pada fenomena bahasa penggunaan metafora dalam pemberitaan kelangkaan minyak goreng media daring Okezone.com mengenai jenis metafora yang digunakan dan konstruksi skema citra yang terbentuk dalam judul dan wacana keseluruhan. Metode penelitian ini dilakukan dalam tiga tahapan: penyediaan data, penganalisisan data, dan penyajian hasil analisis data berikut teknik yang dimanfaatkan untuk mencapai tujuan. Data diambil dari lokasi penelitian tahapan permasalahan kelangkaan minyak goreng; komplikasi, klimaks, dan resolusi. Temuan penelitian segi judul dan keseluruhan wacana bahwa penggunaan metafora dengan basis metafora struktural, orientasional, dan ontologis. Ketiganya mengkonstruksi skema citra berdasarkan kesamaan space, scale, container, force, unity, identity, dan existance.

Abstract

In job interview, applicants are occasionally asked to visualize an imaginery job scenario and explain what they will do in that situation. Similarly, in interview and public test of Corruption Eradication Comission (KPK), leader candidates were asked such kind of situational questions. Their selection of responses for such question will reveal who they are. They can portray not only the job competencies but also good characters in leadership. Data in the form of commissive utterances were collected from interviews involving leader candidates of KPK obtained from the Ministry of State Secretariat of the Republic of Indonesia's Youtube channel. In the corpus, promising acts were identified as the most-used commissive speech act in response to situational questions. Female candidates more frequently implemented commissive than male. There were three forms of commissive speech act in the interview test, namely: making a promise, expressing capability, and intent. With commissive speech act, the finding further revealed that both female and male candidate leaders showed elemen characters such as passionate, demonstrative initiative, strive for excellence, collegial, continuous learner, transparent, socially responsible, accepts consequences, brave, confident, purposive, future-oriented, optimistic, and creative.

Abstract

This study presents a comprehensive syntactic analysis of tense phrases within the framework of X-bar theory applied to recount texts. Utilizing a corpus of diverse recount narratives, we employ a generative approach to scrutinize the hierarchical structure and syntactic relationships governing tense constituents. Our investigation reveals intricate patterns of tense phrase formation, shedding light on the underlying syntactic mechanisms that govern temporal information encoding. Through a meticulous examination of tense-related features, we uncover the nuanced interplay between functional projections and lexical elements, offering insights into the syntactic complexities of recount narratives. Furthermore, this research contributes to a deeper understanding of tense phrase structures, providing a foundation for future explorations in syntactic analysis. The findings herein not only advance our comprehension of temporal representation in language but also underscore the significance of X-bar theory in elucidating intricate syntactic phenomena

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan perilaku fungsi gramatikal pada teori X-bar dalam membentuk struktur FN Bahasa Muna Dialek Mawasangka. Selain itu, penelitian ini mencoba mencari rumusan kaidah struktur FN Bahasa Muna Dialek Mawasangka. Data yang dikumpulkan dari observasi melalui informan yang merupakan penutur asli bahasa Muna. Data dikumpulkan dan disusun dengan metode deskriptif. Dari hasil analisis diperoleh frasa nomina bahasa Muna dapat dikombinasikan dengan frasa nomina itu sendiri, namun dengan bantuan preposisi. Selain itu, frasa nomina dapat terdiri dari kata nomina sebagai proyeksi inti yang dikombinasikan dengan numeralia, adjektiva, dan lain-lain.Kata kunci:frasa nomina, teori X-Bar, bahasa Muna

Abstract

This research aims to describe the functional categories of interrogative words and formulate the structural rules for verb phrase constructions in Minangkabau language using the X-Bar theory. The research data consists of verb phrases in Minang language sourced from native Minang speakers. The research method employed is a qualitative, descriptive approach with data collection techniques involving participant observation followed by note-taking. The data is classified into categories that can combine with verb phrases in their construction. Subsequently, the data is analyzed and presented using an informal method for presenting the results of data analysis. Based on the data analysis, the study reveals findings related to the functional categories of verb phrase constructions in Minangkabau, namely complements and adjuncts. The adjunct function in verb phrase constructions is occupied by auxiliary constructions and the negation of 'not.' Meanwhile, the construction function as complements is occupied by the noun phrase constructions that attach to the verb phrase as patients subjected to the action.

Abstract

This research describes the behavior of grammatical functions in the X-bar theory in forming the FN structure of the Muna language, Mawasangka dialect. Apart from that, this research tries to find a formulation of the rules for the FN structure of the Muna language, Mawasangka dialect. Data collected from observations through informants who are native Muna speakers. Data was collected and compiled using descriptive methods. From the analysis results obtained, Muna language noun phrases can be combined with the noun phrase itself, but with the help of prepositions. In addition, noun phrases can consist of noun words as core projections combined with numeralia, adjectives, etc.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis penggunaan frasa nomina dalam lirik lagu "What a Wonderful World" dan "La Vie En Rose" yang dinyanyikan oleh Louis Armstrong. Frasa nomina, yang merupakan kesatuan kata dengan inti berupa nomina atau kata benda, telah banyak diteliti dalam konteks linguistik yang berbeda. Namun, penelitian terkait penerapan frasa nomina pada teks lirik lagu masih jarang ditemukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengisi gap tersebut dengan menganalisis struktur sintaksis pada lirik lagu-lagu tersebut serta mengaitkan elemen-elemen sintaksis dengan konsep-konsep yang relevan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, dengan langkah-langkah meliputi pengumpulan data, identifikasi frasa nomina, klasifikasi, dan analisis sintaksis. Data dikumpulkan melalui metode simak catat, di mana lirik lagu ditranskripsi dan dianalisis secara teliti untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengklasifikasikan frasa nomina sesuai dengan jenisnya: koordinatif, apositif, dan modifikatif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa dalam kedua lagu tersebut terdapat 18 frasa nomina dengan rincian 4 frasa nomina koordinatif, 2 frasa nomina apositif, dan 12 frasa nomina modifikatif. Frasa nomina modifikatif mendominasi dengan persentase yang signifikan. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa frasa nomina memainkan peran penting dalam menciptakan struktur sintaksis dan estetika lirik lagu, serta memberikan kontribusi terhadap pemahaman penggunaan frasa nomina dalam konteks teks seni.
