This study aims to interpret the meaning of wayang kulit wanda of Panakawan figures. The wanda analyzed is wanda of wayang kulit based Surakarta model. The method of study was descriptive qualitative. The research object was the signs on wayang kulit wanda of Panakawan figures. This signs was examined its meaning by the employment of semiotic theories. Technique of data collection used interview and documentation. Data validity was triangulation of data source. Data from one source compared with other sources to test the validity of a data. The result of this research found that the meaning behind wayang kulit wanda of Panakawan figures. Those meaning are the reflection of wong cilik characteristic. Semar shows that wong cilik has religious character. Gareng describes that wong cilik has an honest and careful character. Petruk shows the character of wong cilik is hardworking. The last, Bagong describes the characteristics of innocent people who say what they are.Keywords: wanda, Panakawan, shadow puppet, wong cilik, semioticsKARAKTERISTIK WONG CILIK PADA WANDA WAYANG KULIT TOKOH PANAKAWANÂ AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan menginterpretasikan makna pada wanda wayang kulit tokoh Panakawan. Wanda yang dikaji pada penelitian ini adalah wanda wayang kulit model Surakarta. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskripti kualitatif. Objek penelitian ini adalah tanda pada wanda wayang kulit tokoh Panakawan. Tanda pada wanda tersebut dikaji maknanya menggunakan teori semiotik. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah teknik wawancara dan dokumentasi. Validasi data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah triangulasi sumber data. Data dari sumber satu dibandingkan dengan sumber yang lain untuk menguji validitas sebuah data. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah makna dibalik wanda wayang kulit tokoh Panakawan. Makna dari wanda tersebut merupakan cerminan dari karakteristik wong cilik. Semar menunjukkan bahwa wong cilik memiliki karakter religius. Gareng menggambarkan bahwa wong cilik memiliki karakter jujur dan berhati-hati. Petruk menunjukkan karakter wong cilik yang pekerja keras. Terakhir, yaitu Bagong menggambarkan karakteristik wong cilik yang lugu berkata apa adanya.Kata kunci: wanda, Panakawan, wayang kulit, wong cilik, semiotik

The story of Javanese script are spoken by hereditary that contains the character of educational values implicitly. This research aims to analyze the semiotic meaning and the implicit character educational values in the story. Source of data this research is Seneng Maca Aksara Jawa published by Percada. This research used descriptive qualitative method and used semiotic approach by Charles Sander Peirce. Data were obtained by reading text story of Javanese script and then analyze about sign, meaning of sign, and the character of educational values in it. The findings of the research showed: (1) the legend of Javanese script delivered by icons, indexes, and symbols, (2) the semiotic meaning of story of Javanese script contains character educational values, namely: religious, hard work, democratic, curiosity, recpect for achievement, love of peace, social awareness, and responsibility. The character educational values in the semiotic meaning of story of Javanese script were relevant with the values which established by Ministry of National Education. Moreover, it can be benefitted as contextual materials based on character of education in learning process of Javanese language appropriate with the Curriculum of 2013.Keyword: semiotic, Javanese script, character educationNILAI-NILAI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DALAM MAKNA SEMIOTIK LEGENDA AKSARA JAWAAbstrakLegenda aksara Jawa yang dituturkan turun-temurun mengandung nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter secara tersirat. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis makna semiotik dan muatan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang tersirat di dalamnya. Sumber data penelitian berupa buku Seneng Maca Aksara Jawa terbitan Percada. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini menggunakan pendekatan semiotik Charles Sander Peirce. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan membaca secara cermat teks legenda aksara Jawa kemudian mengkaji tanda, makna tanda, serta muatan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter di dalamnya. Selanjutnya diperoleh temuan data sebagai berikut: (1) legenda aksara Jawa mengandung tanda-tanda berupa ikon, indeks, dan simbol; (2) makna semiotik legenda aksara Jawa mengandung nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter, yaitu: religius, kerja keras, demokratis, rasa ingin tahu, menghargai prestasi, cinta damai, peduli sosial, dan tanggung jawab. Nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter tersebut relevan dengan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang ditetapkan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan Nasional sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sebagai materi kontekstual berbasis pendidikan karakter pada proses pembelajaran Bahasa Jawa sesuai dengan tuntutan Kurikulum 2013.Kata kunci: semiotik, aksara Jawa, pendidikan karakter.

The king is a leader as divine manifestation. Every command and decision must be obeyed and executed as evidence of devotion. The king who was still obeyed by his people despite experiencing uncommon events among the king is Hamengku Buwana VII. The story of Hamengku Buwana VII setback from the king’s chair is described in the contents of Serat Saptastha manuscript and stored in the museum Sonobudoyo Yogyakarta. Serat Saptastha manuscript belongs to the historical manuscript because it contains the history of the transition of power from Hamengku Buwana VII to his son named Pangeran Adipati Anom who then was crowned as Hamengku Buwana VIII after Hamengku Buwana VII chose to leave his kingdom and settle in Ambarukma. The method used in this paper is content analysis with literature sociology approach. This paper shows that the manuscript of Serat Saptastha can depict the figure of Hamengku Buwana VII as the king of courageous and authoritative despite the lengser keprabon experience. The image of humanism displayed by Hamengku Buwana VII in the Serat Saptastha shows the attitude of kawicaksanaan, courage, and dignity

ABSTRACT: Hamengku Buwana VII is the King of Yogyakarta styled as Sinuwun Sugih. This title is awarded due to his leadership, which increases the revenue from establishment of sugar mills. His ideology in terms of leadership struck the sympathy of his subjects, especially that Hamengku Buwana VII implements the philosophy of Kawiryan in various ways, thus enhancing his image. There is one ancient manuscript that portrays this kawiryan nature of the king, whenever he faced events that haven't been seen before. The Kawiryan nature makes the people so sympathetic towards him. This writing aims to find out what is the content of Serat Saptastha and how the text portrays the Kawiryan nature of the King. This writing uses the methodology of qualitative research with content analysis and literature study for data collection techniques. This writing based its theory from the works Antonio Gramsci, the theory of hegemony. The results of this study indicate that the Serat Saptastha was written in 1921, the end of Hamengku Buwana VII's reign. Further, Kawiryan ideology shows that Hamengku Buwana VII succeeded in winning his people's hearts, even long after the end of his reign, his leadership quality is the one that people remember until now.Keywords: Ideology, Kawiryan, Serat SaptasthaABSTRAK: Hamengku Buwana VII merupakan raja Yogyakarta yang mendapatkan sebutan Sinuwun Sugih. Sebutan tersebut disematkan karena pada masa kepemimpinnya banyak mendapatkan pundi-pundi pendapatan dari pendirian pabrik gula. Ideologinya dalam hal kepemimpinannya menempatkan Hamengku Buwana VII mendapatkan tempat dihati rakyat banyak, terlebih bahwa Hamengku Buwana VII menerapkan sifat kawiryan dalam berbagai hal, sehingga menambah citra bagi Hamengku Buwana VII. Terdapat salah satu naskah kuno yang menceritakan bagaimana sikap kawiryan raja yakni Hamengku Buwana VII dalam mendapati beberapa peristiwa yang tidak dialami oleh raja sebelum-sebelumnya. Sikap kawiryantersebut membuat rakyatnya begitu simpatik terhadap dirinya. Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apa isi dari teks Serat Saptastha dan bagaimana sikap kawiryanHamengku Buwana VII yang tertuang dalam isi teks Serat Saptastha. Metode yang digunakan berupa metode kualitatifdengan analisis isi dan teknik pengumpulan data berupa studi kepustakaan. Serta teori yang digunakan berupa teori hegemoni dari Antonio Gramsci. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Serat Saptastha ditulis pada tahun 1921, tahun tersebut menunjukkan tahun berakhirnya masa kepemimpinan Hamengku Buwana VII. Selain itu, ideologi kawiryan menunjukkan bahwa Hamengku Buwana VII menempatkan dirinya di hati rakyatnya, bahkan berakhirnya masa kepemimpinan Hamengku Buwana VII, sosok kepemimpinannya terus saja terkenang hingga sekarang.Kata Kunci: Ideologi, Kawiryan, Serat Saptastha

& This study describes characters and moral values in the Javanese Novel entitled Kepanggang Wirang (Burned Above the Shame) by Tiwiek SA. Description dealt with psycholiguical needs in accordance with Abraham Maslow theory and educational values. This study is qualittaive research and applied psychoanalysis as the research design. Data were collected using contant analysis and interview and were analyzed using content analysis that included: taxonomy, domain, and thematic analyses. The study revealed that psychological needs from Maslow including: sex, security, self-esteem, and love and affection, and self-actualization were present in the novel. In addition, moral values having positive and negative perspectives were conveyed in the novel reflecting experiences in the society the readers should have considered in the real community lifes. .

The purpose of writing this article is to analyze the discourse of heroism ( kawiryan ) according to Sultan Hamengkubuwana VII contained in the Serat Saptstha manuscript. It is a type of historical manuscript that provides an overview about the discourse stored in the content of the manuscript. The Sultan discussed in this article is Hamengkubuwana VII. He is an Islamic Sultan who ruled the societies in 1877-1921. His reign is in Keraton Ngayogyakarta (Ngayogyakarta Palace) and it is a kind of Islamic Sultanate. Based on the conclusion of this study, Hamengkubuwana VII as the King sent by God performed an image as a very humble sultan. The legitimacy of his power promotes an understanding of Islamic Sultanate represented by Hamengkubuwana VII. The representation of peaceful and serene life portrayed by Hamengkubuwana VII makes the image of Hamengkubuwana VII to be an irreplaceable sultan and his personality also inspires the societies in terms of the importance to always remember The Creator or on the other word is God.

Local wisdom has values that often become the source of norms formation for people's life. Among them is the tradition of Labuhan Gunung Kombang in Malang. This study intended to reveal the Labuhan Gunung Kombang's local wisdom that grows and develops in harmony with Islamic values in Kedungsalam Village, Donomulyo, Malang. This is a descriptive qualitative research by employing ethnographic methods. Data were collected through observations, interviews and documentations to produce detailed and comprehensive accounts of different cultural and social phenomena. The result of study showed that local wisdom of Labuhan Gunung Kombang tradition has values of religion, togetherness, deliberation and mutual cooperation that are in line with Islamic teachings. Islam as a religion with a set of values and norms has influenced the patterns of culture and traditions for Kedungsalam people. However, the encounter of Islamic values and local wisdom in Labuhan Gunung Kombang ceremony is usually perceived as the process of cultural acculturation. It makes socio-cultural aspects of the local people not necessarily eroded by Islam.

Language style is one aspect that beautifies a language. The aims of this study are (1) to describe the forms of expression contained in uploads to the Instagram account @gojekgentho, (2) to describe the stylistics or language style of expressions in uploads to the Instagram account @gojekgentho. The object of this research is the expression uploaded by the Instagram account @gojekgentho. The source of the data in this research is the utterances in the Black and White television program on Trans7 in August 2011. This research uses library and note-taking techniques. The results of this study indicate (1) the form of expression in the Instagram account @gojekgentho, namely found 58 data, (2) of the 58 data found there were 13 data entered from several styles of language or figure of speech, namely (a) figure of speech assonance, (b) figure of speech pleonasm , (c) simile, (d) hyperbole. From all the expressions uploaded to the account, there is the same form in the rhyme

Tanaman hortikultura merupakan salah satu komoditas pertanian yang potensial untuk mendukung pembangunan nasional, salah satunya adalah bawang merah. Kecamatan Tawangmangu merupakan produsen bawang merah terbesar di Kabupaten Karanganyar. Berdasarkan data dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) (2022), Kecamatan Tawangmangu memiliki luas panen 320 ha yang menghasilkan 25.650 kuintal bawang merah pada tahun 2020. Salah satu desa penghasil bawang merah di Kecamatan Tawangmangu adalah Desa Gondosuli. Permasalahan yang dihadapi petani di Desa Gondosuli adalah kurangnya pengetahuan mengenai jenis-jenis produk olahan bawang merah dan cara membuatnya, terbatasnya peralatan, lemahnya kemampuan manajemen usaha terkait pengemasan dan pemasaran produk bawang merah. Kegiatan yang dilakukan meliputi pelatihan pengolahan, pengemasan (packaging), pemasaran (branding), serta digital marketing bawang merah goreng kepada anggota Program Nasional Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (PNPM) Dukuh Tlogodringo, Desa Gondosuli. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode analisis dengan teknik pengamatan dan wawancara. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah anggota PNPM memiliki pengetahuan dan ketrampilan mengenai cara pengolahan, memiliki peralatan, dan memiliki pengetahuan mengenai manajemen usaha terutama terkait pengemasan dan pemasaran secara digital untuk produk bawang merah goreng. Dari kegiatan ini disarankan adanya kegiatan pembinaan dan pendampingan secara berkelanjutan untuk pengembangan bawang merah goreng.

This research attempts to uncover the manipulation of lexical relations in building cultural humor by applying embedded case study that uses qualitative methods to analyze data from the YouTube Shorts of the ISMO account. The data was purposively collected from popular videos on the channel. The analysis reveals that stand-up comedians use lexical relations, such as hyponymy, meronymy, antonymy, and homonymy, to create cultural humor through hook and punchline. Unlike previous studies, this research explains how lexical relations are constructed in humor with a hook-punchline structure. It also shows how certain types of lexical relations can be utilized by breaking them down into hook and punchline keywords or by combining them directly through stories or narratives. This information can serve as a reference not only for the audience but also for comedians to develop more creative methods of building humor.
