Abstract

The availability of fish in the fishing area is influenced by oceanography condition. In Makassar coastal waters, potential area of small pelagic fish is the main information for the fisherman. Purpose of this research is to provide information of oceanographic characteristics which connected with fishing potential area on east season. This research was conducted during May-December 2012, using field and secondary data. Potential area determination was analyzed by using polynomial model. Distribution of oceanographic factors was analyzed by SMS and surfer. Makassar has continent as well as island areas (12 islands). Oceanographic conditions indicate tidal current velocity of 0.08 m/s and ebb currents from 0.05 to 0.30 m/s. Sea surface temperatures in the spring waters east of Makassar were in the range of 26 -31oC. The concentration of chlorophyll-a occurred between 0.0 and 1.0 mg/m3, oceanographic conditions in July and August 2012 are relatively similar. Potential zone for small pelagic fish species in June, July, and August are in the waters around the islands - northern part of the island of Makassar and from the island to Lanyukkang Lumu-Lumu island.

Abstract

The researh for study relationship between phytoplankton abundance and environment parameters and determining contribuion each environment parameters on phytoplankton abundance discrimination had been conducted in 2005 in bagan rambo fishing ground at coastal water Barru Regency, Makassar Strait.  Environment parameters and phytoplankton abundance data collection were conducted on May (6 stations), June, July, September, October and November (9 stations).  Spatio-temporal distribution of environment parameters probably ralate to fresh water loading to stations inshore.  Phytoplankton abundance found in this research ranged from 431 to 5438 cels/liter.  Phytoplankton population dominated by diatom i.e: Bacteriatrum, Biddulphia, Chaetoceros, Coscinodiscus, Ditylum, Eucampia, Melosira, Navicula, Nitzschia, Rhizosolenia, Skeletonema, Thalassionema, Thalassiosira, dan Thalassiothrix.  Regression analysis result show significantly positive linear correlation between phytoplankton abundance with temperature and phosphate concentration, but low correlation coefficient R = 0,4366 (R2 = 0,1906).  Discriminant analysis result show that high average of phytoplankton abundance occured when high temperature and nitrat concentration, and moderate salinity, pH and phosphate concentration.  Phosphate concentration have higher contribution on discriminating phytoplankton abundance.  The contribution of nitrate and silicat concentration and pH are low.   Key words: phytoplankton, phytoplankton abundance, diatom, discriminant analysis, environment parameters

Abstract

This study aims to estimate the abundance of phytoplankton using Sentinel-2 imagery in the Langa – Jampue water area of Pinrang Regency for Sentinel-2 image recording on February 28, 2022. This study was conducted from January – July 2022 by taking phytoplankton samples, conducting sample analysis in the laboratory, and processing Sentinel-2 image data on February 28, 2022 recording. The results of the study found 5 classes of phytoplankton, namely Bacillariophyceae, Cyanophyceae, Dyanophyceae, Peridinae, and Dinophyceae with a total of 34 phytoplankton genera and 4 dominating genera, namely Astereonolepsis, Rhizosolenia, Chaetoceros, and Ceratium. The highest phytoplankton abundance was obtained in transect 2 on point with an abundance of 977 cells/liter and the lowest abundance in transect 3 on point 24 which was 282 cells/liter. The regression test results between phytoplankton abundance and pixel band values 8, band 3, and band 2 on Sentinel-2 images produced an r-square value of 0.495 and obtained a positive correlation value between the pixel band 8 value and the phytoplankton abundance value with a correlation value of 0.529 which means that band 8 can be used for estimating phytoplankton abundance in marine remote sensing systems. The result of the paired t-test revealed that the abundance of phytoplankton based on the results of image processing and relative laboratory analysis was equal to a significant value of 0.999 Keywords: Phytoplankton, Sentinel-2 Imagery, Band 8 Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengestimasi kelimpahan fitoplankton menggunakan citra Sentinel-2 di wilayah perairan Langa – Jampue Kabupaten Pinrang untuk perekaman citra Sentinel-2 pada tanggal 28 Februari 2022. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Januari – Juli 2022 dengan mengambil sampel fitoplankton, melakukan analisis sampel di laboratorium dan mengolah data citra Sentinel-2 pada perekaman 28 Februari 2022. Hasil dari penelitian ditemukan 5 kelas fitoplankton yaitu Bacillariophyceae, Cyanophyceae, Dyanophyceae, Peridinae, Dinophyceae dengan total 34 genus fitoplankton dengan 4 genus yang mendominasi yaitu Astereonolepsis, Rhizosolenia, Chaetoceros dan Ceratium. Kelimpahan fitoplankton tertinggi didapatkan pada transek 2 yaitu pada titik 9 dengan kelimpahan 977 sel/liter dan kelimpahan terendah pada transek 3 yaitu pada titik 24 dengan kelimpahan 282 sel/liter. Hasil uji regresi antara kelimpahan fitoplankton dan nilai pixel band 8, band 3 dan band 2 pada citra Sentinel-2 menghasilkan nilai r-square yaitu 0,495 dan didapatkan nilai korelasi yang positif antara nilai pixel band 8 dan nilai kelimpahan fitoplankton dengan nilai korelasi 0,529 yang berarti band 8 dapat digunakan untuk pendugaan kelimpahan fitoplankton pada sistem penginderaan jauh kelautan. Dari hasil uji-t paired dapat diketahui bahwa kelimpahan fitoplankton dari hasil pengolahan citra dan hasil analisis laboratorium realtif sama dengan nilai signifikan 0,999 Kata kunci: Fitoplankton, Citra Sentinel-2, Band 8

Abstract

The presence of nutrients such as nitrate and phosphate can have a positive impact on phytoplankton growth. However, if the nutrient concentration is very high in the waters, it can cause an explosion in the phytoplankton population or Harmful Algae Blooms (HABs) in the waters. Phytoplankton explosions in waters have a negative impact on the surrounding ecosystem, marine biota, and humans. This research aimed to analyze the spatial distribution and structure of phytoplankton communities that can potentially cause HABs in the waters of Laikang Bay, South Sulawesi. This research was conducted in June 2021. The research found 20 species of phytoplankton HABs from 2 classes, namely Bacillariophyceae (8 types) and Dinophyceae (12 species). The Bacillariophyceae class has a higher percentage, 93%, and Dinophyceae at 7%. The abundance status of phytoplankton HABs is classified as not blooming, with the highest abundance found at Station 4 (control), namely 210 ± 80 cells/L. The HABs phytoplankton diversity index (H') is moderate with a value of 1.576 – 2.332, the uniformity index (E) of Station 1 (west) and Station 4 (control) is moderate with a value of 0.568 and 0.582 while Station 2 (north) and Station 3 (south) is classified as high, namely 0.807 and 0.823, the dominance index (D) is classified as low with a value of 0.135 – 0.357. Spatially, phytoplankton HABs based on the station can be divided into five groups. The results of the PCA analysis show that substations 1.A, 1.B, 1.C, 2.A, 2.B, and 2. C are characterized by high temperature and salinity parameters. Substations 3.A, 3.B, and 3.C are characterized by high nitrate and phosphate parameters. Meanwhile, substations 4.A, 4.B, and 4.C are characterized by high parameters of brightness, current speed, and pH and are associated with a high abundance of phytoplankton HABs.

Abstract

ABSTRACT - Phytoplankton are plants of very small size, their life hovering in waters. Changes in the abundance of types and also the structure of their communities, can be explained by the analysis of the Redfield Ratio. The Redfield ratio is defined as a comparison of the content of N and P types of nutrients in a body of water. For this reason, the purpose of this study is to analyze the Ratio of Redfield to the suitability of phytoplankton life in the Lantebung mangrove ecosystem in Makassar City. The results showed that as many as 19 phytoplankton genera classified into 3 classes were found, namely the Bacillariophyceae class consisting of 14 genera, Cyanophyceae 1 genus, and Dinophyceae 4 genera. The genus of phytoplankton found at all stations is Rhizosolenia and Chaetoceros. These two types of phytoplankton are the Bacillariophyceae group. The results of the Redfield Ratio analysis are not optimal for phytoplankton growth, the ratio is below 16 Based on this, the redfield ratio is not in accordance with phytoplankton life in the Lantebung mangrove ecosystem in Makassar City. The results of pearson's correlation analysis between Redfield Ratio and phytoplankton abundance were 50.7 %. Keywords: Redfield ratio, phytoplankton abundance, Lantebung, Makassar City.

Abstract

The aims of the research are to determine correlation between chlorophyll a distribution and oceanographyparameter at North Papua Waters dan to identify oceanography parameter which have strong correlation onchlorophyll a distribution especially on East Monsoon. The purpose of the research provide an information aboutthe pattern of chlorophyll a distribution and key oceanography paramater which most affected on chlorophyll aconcentration at the research site. Temperature and salinity were measured using CTD (Conductivity TemperatureDepth) Guildline-6000. Waters ample for measuring chemical paramater was done using Super Rosette Samplerthat have Niskin Bottle that submerge with the CTD. The result showed oceanography parameter affectedsignificantly on chlorophyll a concentration based on depth, chemical parameter. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sistem akuntansi pembiayaan gadai emas pada PT Pegadaian (Persero) Cabang Pinrang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi langsung terhadap aktivitas operasional, dokumentasi internal perusahaan, serta wawancara dengan karyawan bagian pembiayaan. Berdasarkan hasil observasi, diperoleh informasi bahwa proses pembiayaan gadai emas dimulai dengan penerimaan jaminan emas dan fotokopi identitas diri nasabah (KTP). Setelah itu, dilakukan penaksiran emas oleh petugas taksir menggunakan alat uji khusus untuk memastikan kadar dan keaslian emas. Nilai taksiran ini digunakan sebagai dasar penentuan besaran pinjaman, dengan rasio pencairan sekitar 85% hingga 92% dari nilai taksiran. Sistem akuntansi yang digunakan dalam pencatatan transaksi pembiayaan gadai emas telah berbasis komputerisasi dan terintegrasi secara nasional melalui sistem informasi manajemen internal Pegadaian. Proses pencatatan berlangsung otomatis, mencakup akun-akun seperti kas, piutang pembiayaan, pendapatan administrasi, dan pendapatan bunga. Hal ini mendukung keakuratan laporan keuangan dan efisiensi operasional. Wawancara dengan pihak internal mengungkap bahwa prosedur pelayanan gadai emas tergolong cepat dan efisien. Waktu yang dibutuhkan mulai dari penyerahan jaminan hingga pencairan dana umumnya kurang dari 15 menit. Hal ini karena sistem kerja telah terbagi secara terstruktur antara petugas taksir, analis kredit, dan kasir. Dari dokumentasi yang diperoleh, diketahui bahwa Pegadaian juga memiliki sistem pengendalian internal yang baik. Pemisahan fungsi kerja, pembatasan akses sistem, serta pemeriksaan berkala menjadi bagian dari upaya pengendalian terhadap risiko keuangan dan kesalahan pencatatan.

Abstract

Salah satu peran ekosistem mangrove bagi lingkungan adalah sebagai penyedia bahan organik melalui serasah yang jatuh. Serasah tersebut sebagian besar didekomposisi oleh bakteri pada sedimen, sebagian lainnya diekspor ke ekosistem lain dan sebagian kecil dimanfaatkan langsung oleh biota. Kandungan bahan organik pada sedimen diduga berkaitan dengan umur vegetasi mangrove. Penelitian dilakukan di kawasan ekowisata mangrove Lantebung Kota Makassar. Sebanyak empat stasiun sampling dibuat untuk menganalisis kandungan bahan organiknya. Stasiun tersebut ditempatkan berdasarkan jarak dari darat dengan asumsi bahwa semakin jauh dari darat, maka umur vegetasi mangrove semakin muda. Analisis bahan organik pada sedimen dilakukan menggunakan metode pembakaran pada suhu tinggi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat tiga jenis mangrove yaitu Avicennia marina, Rhizophora mucronata dan Excoecaria agallocha. Jenis A. marina dominan pada bagian dalam dan tengah, sedangkan R. mucronata dominan pada bagian luar. Kandungan bahan organik sedimen berkisar 5,77-7,40% dengan rata-rata 6,68±0,68%. Pada lapisan sedimen 0-30 cm, terlihat bahwa semakin muda umur vegetasi mangrove maka kandungan bahan organik semakin kecil. Namun pada lapisan sedimen di bawahnya kandungan bahan organik relatif sama antar umur vegetasi yang berbeda. Total bahan organik pada kawasan mangrove Lantebung yang dijadikan sebagai area ekowisata (6,5 ha) sebesar 2.769 ton atau rata-rata 426 ton per hektar.

Abstract

This study was aimed to determine the water quality and seaweed growth and the relationship between  oceanographic parameters and the growth of seaweed Eucheuma cottonii. This research was carried out from June-July 2021 at a seaweed cultivation location in Old Takalar, Mappakasunggu District, Takalar Regency. The seaweed cultivation method used is the longline method placed at three cultivation sites. Oceanographic parameters of physicochemical waters measured were temperature, salinity, pH, brightness, depth, current velocity, tides, nitrate, phosphate and dissolved oxygen. For the measurement of the growth of E. cottonii seaweed, the absolute growth was measured using One Way Anova analysis to determine differences in seaweed growth at each station of E. cottonii cultivation location. The correlation between oceanographic parameters and the growth of E. cottonii seaweed was analyzed using a correlation test. The results showed that the water quality at the cultivation site was within a reasonable range for seaweed cultivation in Old Takalar. The results of One Way Anova showed that there were significant differences in seaweed growth at each station where E. cottonii was cultivated. The results of the correlation test showed that the oceanographic parameters of the waters were very strongly correlated with the growth of E. cottonii seaweed, namely temperature, brightness, and depth.
