Abstract

Universitas Kristen Petra menerapkan sistem pengisian kuesioner online yang bertujuan untuk mendapatkan umpan balik terhadap layanan yang telah ada. Di mana untuk saat ini untuk memproses hasilnya masih dilakukan secara manual. Namun hal ini tidak efektif karena akan memerlukan waktu dan tenaga, sehingga dikembangkanlah sebuah program yang membantu meringankan pekerjaan manusia dengan menggunakan Python dan menerima input berupa file excel. Metode yang digunakan adalah Naive Bayes dan Latent Semantic Analysis untuk membantu pengklasifikasian sentimen agar dapat ditentukan topik, sentiment score, dan tindakannya.

Abstract

One of the LPPM program to help people in Rungkut Surabaya city is to guide several UMKM. To increase the quality of service and the profit of UMKM, LPPM created a platform in hope to help promote UMKM products.As the solution is an E-Commerce Website that can fulfill that needs. E-Commerce website in this thesis has several feature. Showing UMKM products, receiveing order, processing order, and checking order status. There is also rating and review feature for giving trust to customer that want to buy products from UMKM. System also has SMS Gateway feature to make UMKM easier to process order without accesing the website.As the result from this thesis is an user friendly and supporting online transaction website, this was based on questionare result from customer, UMKM and Administrator. Feature-feature that are built is tested and working as expected. Website is a responsive website so it can be opened with several browser dan handphone with different screen resolution.

Abstract

At present, almost every organizers holds an attractive bazaar due to the growing number of enthusiasts who want to join bazaar. Bazaar can be an alternative place to sell new product and introduce the local product to the general society. Booking booth process in bazaar still using manual system, which tenant fills the order form and then the form is scanned to be sent to the organizer of the event via e-email. Once the booking is received, event organizer has to check and make a registration list of tenants whom will join the bazaar. Therefore there is a need to have an information system to help both eventorganizer and tenant to make a better booking process. Aplication Bazaar based on Android and website intends to help user do all booking process efficiently.Application based on mobile assist tenant in making reservation from fill form until payment order. It helps tenant to search for information about the bazaar which will be held in accordance with bazaar categories of interest and can follow event, so tenant will be easier to get bazaar information. In addition, application based on website helps event organizer to manage the whole process from booking to the payment which received from tenant order, then event organizer can edit event map in order to facilitate tenant when choose a booth at the bazaar.The test results which obatained have two modules, Mobile Application based on Android for tenant and application website for event organizer. Mobile Application can make a booking in bazaar, can get a notification, follow the event, displaying order data. Application website for the event organizer can manage the whole order and payment from tenant, and can edit map event to help tenant make an order. From the test of mobile application that have been done, 50% of respondents rate the app is overall good, and 42% of respondent rate the app overall very good. For Website Application, event organizer has satified with the existing features on the website.

Abstract

Physics is one of the science subjects which learns about natural phenomena in our surroundings. One of the topics learnt in physics is Electric Circuit. Many people nowadays lack the understanding of the theories, calculation formulae, and practices of the electric circuit. Even though the electric circuit is indispensable and one of the physics topics that is used in everyday’s life. People are often not interested in learning theories and formulae from the book, while the electric circuit's practices require components and supporting substances. This leads to a new matter because sometimes there are substances that are too hard to find and get.This manuscript discusses the development of an Android-based application for learning simple electric circuits. Android is chosen because it is one of the smartphone's operating systems that is aggresively growing. This application employs a drag and drop method, which consists of dragging the desired object and dropping it at a particular position. The application was developed using Java programming language, Eclipse, and MySQL as its database.Based on the system testing that has been done, the developed application allows a user to login to the system, register him/herself, display simple electric circuit materials, display simulation that will be useful for the user in designing a simple electric circuit with its specified components and the calculation, try quizzes to test his/her knowledge, display user's scores, and update materials and quizzes. This application needs internet connection to register, login, display images, and update data.

Abstract

Tourism is an activity which is done by one or many persons for having holiday or recreation. Finding a good tourism spot, which fits with one’s interest and spare time, is not an easy task. In general, tourism information that appears on the websites or in the mobile applications is not based on user's interest. Lack of information is a hassle for someone who is having holiday.Therefore, a recommendation-system application was made using content-based and collaborative-based methods as a means to choose tourism spots in accordance with user's preferences This Android application has features to list tourist spots which suit the user's preferences give some alternate routes to user, show details of the tourism spots, and show their locations in the map.From the conducted test, the system can recommends tourism spotsthat match with user’s preferences, and user can see the recommended alternate routes and the detailed information of the tourist spots.

Abstract

In the past few years, Big Data has been a trend in the world of Information Technology. Alongside the growth of organizations, the bigger the data that is owned, some can reach the scale of Terabytes to Pentabytes. When an organization wants to do an analysis of a Big Data it takes time due to limited CPU and memory. To overcome this, there is a paradigm which is called distributed computing. There are many tools that aim to cultivate Big Data such as Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, and etc. However, the tool that is going to be analyzed is the Apache Hadoop.The adoption rate of Big Data in Indonesia is 20% for 2 to 3 years into the future [1]. Seeing these facts, more and more companies are planning to adopt Big Data to analyze their data. Due to the increasing use of Big Data and Apache Hadoop, it is conducted an exploratory analysis of data correlation on Apache Hadoop. In addition, testing was also done using the Apache Hadoop with varying number of nodes, mappers and reducers, and number of different block sizes [10].Exploratory analysis of data correlation on Apache Hadoop is done by making four types of data analysis applications, namely two applications correlation values for the data search Yahoo! Messenger and two applications for creating classification trees. Based on test results obtained that the R application is more suitable for smaller data size while Hadoop is more suitable for large data size. For large data, application R uses higher percentage of CPU and memory than Hadoop. The combination of mapper and reducer that will provide the most optimal execution time is for mapper in the range of 2/3 of the total CPU cores, while the reducer is 1/3 of the total CPU cores.

Abstract

Di masa sekarang ini masih banyak kalangan masyarakat yang suka membaca buku cerita seperti komik dan novel. Buku cerita seperti ini masih diminati oleh para pembaca selain karena cerita yang menarik, membaca buku juga untuk mengisi waktu luang dan merupakan hobi bagi orang yang suka membaca.Dengan mengikuti perkembangan teknologi yang ada. Kemudahan dalam mengakses internet sudah dirasakan oleh semua kalangan seperti menggunakan internet untuk mengakses suatu website. Website sendiri dapat diakses dari berbagai device yang mendukung internet. Oleh karena itu proses persewaan buku tersebut melalui sebuah website merupakan inovasi yang menjadi wadah untuk mempertemukan antara pemilik buku dengan penyewa.Hasil dari pembuatan website ini adalah memudahkan pengguna mencari dan meminjam buku melalui website ini.

Abstract

The rapid development of techonology nowadays causes increased competition in business world, one example of technology application in business is online shopping website, promoting goods via internet. The transaction progress in Enggal Waras store is still done manually, causing the transaction must be done inside the store (customer must come to the store to buy goods), moreover often happen the refusing of customer because the goods that the customer asked is not available in the store. To overcome this problem, then an online shopping website is designed for Enggal Waras store.This website is made using PHP as programming language, MySQL as database, and Apache as web server.From the system examination with questionnaire, website get the highest point 3,8 out of 5 for the easiness to operate. From that we can conclude that the website’s features are adequate for user needs and can be operated easily.

Abstract

Museum is a place to store a variety of cultural heritage that can be used as an educational attraction for the community and study materials used by academics. But unfortunately the public interest to make the museum as a tourist destination is very low. Therefore we need innovation to attract people, and in this case the innovation made in the utilization of NFC technology in android . NFC technology is currently being highly developed and has been used in many applications, so the utilization of that technology is expected to dispel the impression of being outdated and unattractive, commonly attached to the museum.This application will be divided into two, namely mobile applications for visitors that have been developed using Android Studio software and web applications for administrator that developed using Notepad++ and MySQL database. This mobile applications can deliver information of objects in the museum in the form of text, video, and audio by scanning the NFC tag which the results of the scan will direct the application to retrieve data from a web application as a server for database management. This application can also display museum’s profile, museum’s events, museum’s maps, and mini games. From this application museum can also obtain statistical data which can be useful for the development of the museum that can be accessed from web application.Based on the results of implementation which has been tested, this application was able to deliver the information in the format of text, image, audio, and video by scanning NFC tag. In addition, from the application feasibility tests on random users, all respondents express that they are more interested to visit museum with the presence of this application.

Abstract

Implementasi Non-Relational Database sebagai DataWarehouse dengan menggunakan Relational Data Warehousesebagai sumber menjadi dasar dalam pengerjaan skripsi ini.Non-Relational dan Relational Database memiliki asumsi yangberbeda dari segi model datanya, sehingga transformasi dariRelational Data Warehouse tidak akan membawa hasil yangmaksimal. Dalam pengerjaan implementasi ini, Non-RelationalDatabase yang akan digunakan bertipe Column-Oriented/Wide-Column Database, yaitu Cassandra. Perbandingan denganRelational Data Warehouse akan dilakukan dari segi latencyquery, memory usage, dan cpu usage.Implementasi ini akan dilakukan dengan membuat terlebihdahulu model data yang sesuai dengan tiap database yangdigunakan, serta dilakukan ETL untuk memasukkan data.Kemudian, akan diujikan 7 query atau permasalahan untukmenjawab kebutuhan reporting perspustakaan UniversitasKristen Petra.Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, didapat beberapa kesimpulan.Pemodelan data untuk Column-Oriented Databasemembutuhkan perhatian lebih, karena kebutuhan pengubahandata dapat mempengaruhi desain dari tabel. ETL juga perluperhatian, karena dengan tidak adanya fungsi commit, makaperlu diulang dari awal jika gagal. Column-Oriented Databasemenunjukkan hasil yang lebih baik pada query dengan kondisiyang banyak, karena data bisa semakin cepat ditemukan dandikembalikan.
