Abstract

IPB University in Bogor, Indonesia, has developed its campuses as living laboratories for education, research, community outreach, innovation, and business. The university's infrastructure under the living lab concept, such as forestlands, farmlands, wetlands, teaching factories, and business units, offer real-life opportunities for students and staff to create greater impacts to societies from their academic activities. This paper presents the lessons learned from IPB's campus setting as a living lab, focusing on how students and stakeholders can learn from the existing infrastructure and facilities, how research can benefit from a natural setting, and how the campus can serve as a model for sustainable living. Implementing living lab concept faces challenges as other new initiatives, particularly on the aspects of effective interdisciplinary works, formalizing the community of practices in which pool of experts are organized and knowledge management system is developed. In conclusion, in the era of emancipated learning implementation in Indonesia, IPB University's campus setting could provide a platform for facilitating activities related to science-practices/policy interface.

Abstract

New Normal is a change in behavior to continue carrying out normal activities but coupled with the implementation of health protocols to prevent Covid-19 transmission. In Indonesia itself, the new normal is applied as a realistic response from the Indonesian government to the existence of COVID-19 as well as the results of the analysis in various sectors of national life, especially the future of the national economy in the medium and long term. After the implementation of the new normal, it automatically affects the routine activities carried out by the community, especially those activities that were restricted by the government at the time of the New Normal. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence behavior change after the application of the New Normal in the Covid-19 Pandemic. A modified Theory of Planned Behavior is used in this study using testing through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS). A total of 427 respondents who have worked have answered the online questionnaire containing 61 questions. The results of this study indicate that knowledge and understanding of covid-19 make people understand the severity they feel and the vulnerabilities they may experience. The severity and vulnerability they feel also have an influence on their attitudes, behavior control, past behavior, and subjective norms so that they have a strong factor in building their intention to behave during the pandemic when the new normal is enacted. The intention that has been built with the support of attitudinal factors, past behavior, subjective norms, and behavior control also changes people's behavior. Employees are able to more moderate the relationship between attitudes towards intention and the relationship between past behavior and intention than entrepreneurs.

Abstract

Kampung Vannamei as shrimp cluster is being developed since 2004 by PT CP Prima, tbk Surabaya through Shrimp Culture Health Management transformation technology to several traditional farmers in Gresik, Lamongan, Tuban, and Madura areas. The research objectives aims to identify and mapping of stakeholder, to analyze interaction of stakeholders, to formulate strategy from internal and external environment factors and to set priority on strategy to develop sustainable and competitive shrimp cluster in the Kampung vannamei. Primary data was collected through stakeholders’ discussion forums, questionnaires, and interviews with relevant actors. Observations to the business unit also performed to determine the production and business conditions, particularly in capturing information about the threat and challenges. While the secondary data is used in policy documents national and local area statistics, and relevant literature. Analyses were performed by using the SRI International cluster pyramid, diamond porter’s analysis, SWOT and Matrix TOWS analysis, and analytical hierarchy process. Analyses were performed by the methods discussed in qualitative and descriptive. There are 7 strategies could be implemented to develop sustainable and competitive shrimp cluster. However, it is recommended to implement the strategy base on priority, which the first priority is strategy to improve linkages between businesses in the upstream and downstream industries into multi stakeholders’ platform in shrimp industry. Keywords: Shrimp, Cluster, Competitiveness, Diamond Porter, SWOT Analysis, AHP

Abstract

The development of lifestyle, information technology, and the industrial revolu- tion 4.0 also play a role in shaping the increasing demand for domestic coffee consumption. At this time, the coffee shop business is growing, starting from the SME scale to the global brand scale. Besides the quality of coffee, several other things can attract consumers to visit a local coffee shop, one of which is the dining atmosphere. To increase the role of local coffee shops, this study aims to analyze consumer profiles, analyze consumer buying behavior, and analyze the effect of dining atmosphere and product quality on customer trust and repurchase intention. Primary data collection was carried out using the convenience and purposive sampling method, with the criteria being respondents who were domiciled in Bogor and had visited six coffee shops studied. The population in this study were all consumers in those coffee shops. The number of samples in this study was 426 respondents, who had met the theoretical requirements of the SEM model. The main data processing method used is Structural Equation Modeling analysis. It is known that there are differences in the SEM model results at local and global coffee shops. In the global coffee shop dining atmosphere and product quality significantly affect customer trust. Whereas at the local coffee shop, only the dining atmosphere affects consumer trust. In the next study, the dining atmosphere model can be sharpening with further testing of demographic factors as the moderating variable.

Abstract

Advances in technology, information, and communication, particularly the internet in the 21st century, have created new opportunities for companies to optimize their online marketing strategies. L’Oréal Paris, a leading global cosmetics brand, has transitioned from offline to online sales. Ecommerce platforms provide review and rating features that enable consumers to give feedback on products and services, including details about condition, authenticity, quality, and product suitability. This study aims to analyze the impact of online customer reviews and ratings on the purchasing decisions for L'Oréal products. This research was conducted from June to July 2024, involving 402 respondents using a non probability sampling technique and purposive sampling method. Primary data collected through questionnaires and secondary data from literature studies. The data analysis methods employed were descriptive analysis and SEM-PLS. The results of this study indicate that online customer reviews and ratings have a significant and positive impact on purchase decisions.

Abstract

In operations and production management, material yield is one of the key indicators of process efficiency and cost effectiveness. This study aims to identify the root causes of low carton packaging yield, formulate improvement strategies based on the PDCA (Plan–Do–Check–Act) cycle integrated with 16 structured quality management tools, and evaluate the effectiveness of this approach in addressing inefficiencies in carton packaging. To achieve this, root causes were identified using a Fishbone Diagram (4M1E), further analyzed with the 5 Whys method, and validated through the 3G approach (Genba, Genbutsu, Genjitsu). Key issues were prioritized using Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA). Improvement ideas were then generated using the SCAMPER technique and selected using a PICK Chart. The selected solutions were implemented using the 5W2H framework and scheduled with a Gantt Chart. To ensure sustainability, poka-yoke mechanisms and process standardization were applied. The implementation of targeted improvement strategies at one of Indonesia’s leading beverage companies led to a notable increase in carton packaging yield—from 99.44% to 99.75%—effectively closing the performance gap. This improvement was accompanied by a reduction of over 50% in measurable negative impacts across all PQCDSME dimensions (Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, Morale, and Environment), reflecting enhanced process stability, operational efficiency, and cross-functional performance. This study demonstrates that integrating structured, data-driven problem-solving tools with the PDCA (Plan–Do–Check–Act) cycle can significantly improve manufacturing performance. The approach proved effective in reducing waste, increasing yield, and supporting continuous improvement within a production environment.
