Abstract

The conflict is a social process that customarily takes place in people's lives andis believed to be a main fact, whether in modern society and traditional society. So withthat occurred in the community of the society Lombok exactly the hamlet communityBagek Dewa and the hamlet community of the Dayen Rurung, Ketara village. On therecord of its history, conflicts inter the two hamlets has indeed been taking place sincelong ago and still continues to this day. The hereditary conflict can be said to be a featureof social relations in identifying inter society.The problem examined in this study are: how the historical background of theconflict, the factors that influence, as well as how solutions and constraints in thesettlement. This research aims to study the historical background of the conflicts betweenthe community and the factors that cause and solution and obstacles faced in the questcompletion. The theory used is the trigger of conflict theory Simon Fisher, conflict theoryof Ralf Dahrendorf and Lewis Alfred Coser, as well as Pierre Bourdieu's theory ofviolence. The analysis used in the study was qualitative with engineering datamanagement through in-depth interviews and observations directly to the community aswell as analysis of documents.Results of the study, namely the conflict hereditary intercommunity hamlet BagekDewa and the hamlet community of the Dayen Rurung in the Ketara village effected by aarid mountainous geographic conditions adjacent to the sea and the superiority of thegenealogy, which claims the identity inter both communities. Factors that affect conflict,namely; historical factors, social, communication, economics, politics, law, the divisionof the territory. As for the solution of conflict reduction efforts as is by way of mediation,negotiation, and law proceedings (arbitration) and the constraints of lack of attentionand efforts of the government in the follow-up to the two communities in conflict as wellas the application of the law of function don’t maximum has a slash select sharply downand dulled up.

Abstract

Ash of empty palm fruit bunches is the solid waste from process of making crude palm oil (CPO). Ash of empty palm fruit bunches have many component that make it can to be use as a catalyst. Palm fatty acid distillate (PFAD) is a byproduct from process of making cooking oil. PFAD potential to converted into biofuel with catalytic cracking process.  This study aims to utilize ash of empty fruit bunches and PFAD to be raw material of making biofuel, to know component of biofuel produced. Yield maximum biofuel obtained at a temperature of 410 0 C with  stirring speed 250 rpm that is equal to 57,14%. While the largest biofuel conversion obtained at stirring speed of 300 rpm and a temperature of 4100C in the amount of 50.671%.   Cracking results analyzed by GCMS and found the biofue produced more dominant is a constituent of gasoline fuel .  Keywords: Ash of empty palm fruit bunches, Biofuel, Catalytic Cracking, PFAD

Abstract

This research examines the use of zakat funds on Asnaf fi Sabilillah in the context of school development within Islam. The objective of the study is to analyze the legal aspects of zakat fund utilization and explore the positive impacts of zakat in enhancing educational access. A qualitative approach with a descriptive research design was employed. Data was collected through interviews with relevant stakeholders, including zakat managers, administrators of zakat organizations, beneficiaries, and by studying related documents such as literature, fatwas, regulations, financial reports, and documentation of school development projects funded by zakat. The findings indicate that utilizing zakat funds on Asnaf fi Sabilillah for school development is valid and compliant with the principles of Sharia in Islam. The implementation of zakat-funded school development projects has improved educational access for economically disadvantaged communities and enhanced school infrastructure in rural areas. Additionally, community participation and involvement of beneficiaries in zakat fund management have increased the effectiveness of the programs. The recommendations include raising public awareness regarding the significance of zakat in enhancing educational access, fostering partnerships with the private sector to augment funding for school development, and promoting transparent and accountable zakat fund management practices. Furthermore, capacity building for zakat managers and beneficiaries, as well as periodic evaluations and monitoring of zakat-funded school projects, are deemed necessary.

Abstract

Maqashid Al-Syariah and marriage have a close relationship and cannot be separated. Because the most important goal of marriage is to worship toward Allah SWT. In this modern era, there are many marriage contracts that have developed throughout the world, which are not in accordance with Maqashid Al-Syariah, such as Mut’ah’s marriage, Sirry’s marriage, Misyar’s marriage, Asdiqa’s marriage and so on. Its influence is very dangerous for husbands, wives, children and society. As for the packaging is only a little compared to the worse. Therefore, Maqashid Al-Syariah prohibited it. The purpose of the Maqashid Al-Syariah is reduced to safeguard religion, soul, descent, wealth and reason.

Abstract

This research emphasizes the importance of examining the Multi Level Marketing (MLM) business model from the perspective of Islamic law, especially fiqh muamalah. The research found that the structure and operational mechanisms of MLM often trigger injustice, and uncertainty, as well as potential violations of sharia principles such as gharar, riba, and maysir. In Islamic teachings, the principles of fairness, transparency and certainty are things that must be maintained in every economic transaction. This study reveals that many MLM models tend to focus more on recruiting new members rather than selling real products, which can result in unfairness in profit sharing. To ensure that MLM complies with sharia principles, companies should design a fair and balanced commission structure, ensure every transaction is conducted transparently, and offer products that have real benefits and clear selling points. This research has important implications for business actors, regulators, and the wider community. Strict regulations and effective supervision are needed to ensure that MLM business practices are fair and transparent. This research underscores the need for commitment from all parties involved, including companies, members, and sharia authorities, to maintain the principles of fairness, transparency, and certainty in every MLM business transaction. Thus, the MLM business model can run in accordance with Islamic law and make a positive contribution to the economy of Muslims.

Abstract

This article describes the implementation of lecturer service in providing material on the importance of understanding Islamic Inheritance Law according to the Compilation of Islamic Law for Orphans and Duafa in the Muhammadiyah Tembilahan orphanage. The urgency of this activity is carried out to add insight into the right to inheritance distribution according to the Compilation of Islamic Law. The partner's problem is that there are still many orphans and poor children who do not comprehensively understand their rights in getting a share of the inheritance. Therefore, the purpose of this activity is to provide understanding to them so that later they get their rights in accordance with the applicable rules according to the compilation of Islamic law. The implementation of this activity used lecture and discussion methods. There were 35 participants who participated in this activity. This activity was welcomed enthusiastically by the partners. The indicators of the success of this service activity are evidenced by several children who feel satisfied and happy with this activity. Furthermore, it is recommended to carry out similar activities on an ongoing basis to improve and hone their ability to understand Islamic inheritance law in order to realize a harmonious and blessed life in the world and the hereafter.

Abstract

This article describes the implementation of lecturer service in providing scientific writing training material for students of Universitas Islam Indragiri, STMIK Indragiri, and STAI Auliaurrasyidin Tembilahan. This training is important to add insight into scientific writing techniques in this case writing scientific articles in scientific journals. The partner's problem is that there are still many students who find it difficult to compile or make good scientific articles. Therefore, the purpose of this activity is to make it easier for students and increase their understanding because they will not be separated from writing scientific papers. The implementation of this activity is hybrid (online and offline) and uses lecture and practice methods or accompanied independent assignments for several weeks. The participants who participated in this training were 76 students. This training was welcomed enthusiastically by partners, namely students from 3 (three) universities in Indragiri Hilir Regency. This service activity shows its success, it is proven that there are several students who have succeeded in collaborating in writing scientific papers in the form of journal articles that have been successfully published in several unaccredited and accredited national journals. This means that the proof of performance from the results of this assisted self-assignment is the achievement of the success of this activity. Furthermore, it is recommended to conduct continuous training to hone students' abilities in writing and creating scientific papers.

Abstract

The development of technology has had a significant impact on various aspects of human life, including education. Yayasan Mas Bustaanul Uluum, a high school, faces challenges in selecting exemplary teachers objectively and accurately. The process of selecting exemplary teachers has so far been subjective, with assessments based on attendance and years of service. This research aims to develop a decision support system (DSS) by applying the web-based Composite Performance Index (CPI) method. The system is built using the waterfall model, which consists of analysis, design, implementation, and testing. Data collection was conducted through observation and interviews. The aspects used to measure exemplary teachers include attendance, teaching experience, highest education level, and achievements. The data processed using the CPI method is used to determine exemplary teachers. Furthermore, the system built was tested using black box testing on each system component. Our findings resulted in a DSS integrated with the CPI method for determining exemplary teachers. The calculations within the system are also consistent with the manual calculations using the CPI method. Additionally, the system operates smoothly without errors. Therefore, this system can assist Yayasan Mas Bustaanul Uluum in selecting exemplary teachers in an objective manner.

Abstract

The fiqhiyah rule “al-'Adatu muhakkamah” (customs can be used as a source of law) is one of the important principles in Islamic law. This research aims to examine fiqhiyah rules related to customs and their application in community life. The method used is library research by collecting data from fiqh books, ushul fiqh books, journals, and related articles. The results show that customs can be accepted as a source of law if they meet certain conditions, such as not contradicting the nash (Al-Quran and Hadith), generally applicable, reasonable, and bring benefit. The application of this rule is found in various aspects of life, such as dress customs, marriage traditions, economic transactions, worship procedures, and local traditions. This study concludes that the rule of “al-'Adatu muhakkamah” shows the flexibility of Islamic law in accommodating the positive values of local culture, as long as it does not deviate from the basic principles of religion, emphasizing Islam as a religion of rahmatan lil 'alamin.

Abstract

Enhancing faculty qualifications is a crucial aspect in improving the quality of higher education. Academic portfolios serve as an essential instrument in faculty career development and qualification enhancement. However, many faculty members still face difficulties in developing effective academic portfolios. This community service project aims to improve the understanding and skills of faculty members at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Islam Indragiri, in creating academic portfolios. The method employed is an intensive one-day training with a participatory and practical approach. The training covers an introduction to academic portfolio concepts, techniques for documenting academic activities, portfolio development strategies, and hands-on practice. The results of the training show a significant improvement in faculty members' understanding and ability to develop academic portfolios. This activity is expected to contribute to enhancing faculty qualifications and advancing their academic careers.
